The staff here is wonderful, so easy to work with even when I'm in a hurry. And I'm reservist military and they went above and beyond in their graciousness and service while I was taking my dogs here during my weekend drill. They were always smiling and kind. The facility is beautiful and clean. There is s tour sign-in sheet so you can actually see the facilities yourself! There are also some items for sale out front like toys, treats, leashes, etc In case tragedy befalls your dog's things before or during boarding. Both of my dogs came back happy from playing in daycare! This is rare as my little one is picky. Most of the other customers picking up and dogs I saw seemed very happy also. Overall a great place and worth going a bit further to use this facility. Goldie was bitten at camp by an "older dog". They did not remove the aggressive dog from camp. They only removed Goldie. They applied A&D ointment and stated she'd be kenneled for the day. I immediately went to get her, and when I took Goldie to the vet, and she needed stitches. read more

Worst Experience Ever! Took my 9 month old spayed pup for an interview 11/29/23. She was supposed to stay a minimum of 3 hours. The facility has webcams. In the group play area, she was repeatedly humped by several other dogs on her head and rear intermittently for at least 2 hours. The attendant in the play area mostly ignored it because she was facing away from the dogs 90% of the time. Either talking to another attendant in the next play area or on her phone. When she did try to do something she would spray my pup with the water hose. I don't blame the lack of attention completely on the attendant because the Lobby has cameras clearly in view of the other employees including the Manager and they were aware of the issue of the constant humping and could easily see the inattentive play area attendant. I don't blame the other dogs but someone should have done something to stop it. Please don't send your dog to this facility! Update - Manager emailed me wanted to speak with me by phone. I replied by email when I was available. They never called or left a message. read more

My dog has been going to camp bow wow for 3.5 years at multiple locations and has never had an issue. I booked a reservation over a month in advance for Christmas break. I called 3 different times speaking to Jacob to ensure my reservation was accepted due to them requiring a flu vaccine (which my dog had the first dose of but would be due while at camp however my vet said it would be fine and scheduled him a few days later for when we returned) as well as the location not asking for a deposit which is typically required with holiday reservations. I never got a call from the manager regarding any of this as requested and was assured by Jacob each time that the vaccine was not an issue. I received a call from the manager finally THE DAY BEFORE THE RESERVATION saying they would not be able to accept my dog THE NEXT DAY due to the vaccine, despite my 3 prior confirmations with their location that this would not be an issue. The manager told me that I had "big feelings" when I expressed how unprofessional this was and told me her calling me the day before and not turning me away at the door was a "courtesy" despite the reservation being confirmed by them in the app and verbally three times prior. She tried to tell me that she spoke to my vet and if my dog didn't receive the second dose exactly 3 weeks later (not 3 weeks and 3 days as he was scheduled to) that they would require him to receive the first dose over again. After speaking with my vet personally, this was a complete lie. I would also like to mention that the flu vaccine is an individual camp requirement and not a corporate requirement. My husband and I both have requested to speak to the owner multiple times due to the lack of customer service and the manager has refused. Thankfully we were able to get him booked at another location. We love Camp Bow Wow as a company and have never had any issues prior. This entire experience is a disgrace to the company and we will never recommend nor visit this location as a result. read more

We have used Camp Bow Wow multiple times now and our 4 dogs love it. The staff is loving and takes a real interest in your fur babies and try's to make your time away from them as easy as possible. Very disappointed, have been here a few times this year and then I left my two dogs here this December while I had to go out of town and when I show up to pick up my pups one of them has a solid 1/2 inch wide by 1/2 inch deep hole in her right shoulder that I can easily stick my pointer finger inside it that is starting to turn green inside it. After the dogs come out to greet me they go oh yeah something happened to her and we aren't sure when or what. 1ST PROBLEM. They didn't call, text, email, or even smoke signal me to notify me. The same with the emergency contacts listed for if my dogs have an issue just like in this instance. 2ND PROBLEM. They didn't get her any medical attention. They claim they put an over the counter antibiotic cream, probably neosporin, on it a few times but that obviously wasn't working. The veterinarian said the wound was 4-5 days old at the time I picked her up. One employees have the excuse that she had noticed it a few days before I picked her up but she thought it was maybe an old spot and had been there before. Uh my dogs stayed for 12 days and if you just notice a huge gaping wound with blood and a green infection color it's probably something to look into it further than oh I thought maybe she had already had that and to do nothing. 3RD PROBLEM. When I called to notify them that I had to take her to the vet and get stitches and medical treatment I was blown off saying that if they called an owner for every cough their dog did that's all they would do all day. UMMMMM NO THIS WAS NOT A COUGH. THIS WAS A FREAKING HOLE IN HER SKIN SHOWING THROUGH TO THE FATTY LAYER UNDERNEATH GETTING INFECTED. The vet had to put stitches on the inner and outer layer it was so large. 4TH PROBLEM. My other dog was left with exactly enough medication to get his twice daily pills the whole time I was gone with explicit instructions to get one pill twice a day, but some miracle of science happened and I picked him up and he had a lot of extra pills. And the explanation was that he only got one pill a day but back to that miracle of science there wasn't enough pills left over that he only got one a day so maybe he got one a day some days and two a day other days or maybe he didn't get any at all and they just threw some out to make me think he had gotten them. 5TH PROBLEM. While I was gone I would try to watch in on the camera and see that my dogs appeared happy or at least alive and would get the pleasure of watching the attendant spray dogs with a water hose while it was 30 some odd degrees outside. I don't think that is the appropriate thing to do that in cold weather. 6TH PROBLEM. As I watched on camera the attendants would occasionally hold one dog in their laps or arms while the other dogs beg for attention. And then other times the attendants are on their phones the whole time pushing the dogs off of them as the dogs beg for attention that they got before or that they saw another dog getting before and wanted it. To say that I am far from impressed and will not be using camp bow wow again is an understatement. I can't believe I spent over $600 boarding my dogs here and come to pick them up in that condition without being notified, warned, or anything. I understand a group of dogs playing together things will happen but to not know if my dog was bit or stabbed in this very dangerous Kemah neighborhood doesn't make sense and for them to have done nothing about it and not notify me when it happened tells me they aren't responsible enough to watch my dogs again. I don't recommended them to anyone and if you do use them I wish you only well but I will be finding someone who takes care of and pays attention a lot better than them from now on. read more

We have a golden Labrador that has been lacking in stimulation. We had to euthanize his litter mate a couple of months ago due to kidney failure. We thought it would be good to socialize him and brought him for group play today. I have actually worked in doggie daycare where we socialized and played with the dogs. We were watching the web cams and he didn't seem interested in the other dogs. He loves people and attention. He kept following the person that was watching over him, but they never once put down their hand to pet him. At 1:30 we wanted to see if was doing any better. Once again he was following the person around, but when he stood behind her while the other dogs were coming in, she was just spraying him with a water bottle. He wasn't doing anything wrong or blocking the path for the other dogs. She walked away and he followed her again. Never once did anyone engage with him. On their cell phones just standing around. We picked him up at 1:43. I didn't see any water bowls anywhere. His tongue was purple and he was panting really bad. When we got him home he drank 2 full bowls of water and then threw up. Not impressed and we will never go back again. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I will never ever bring my dog back here again. I have a sweet 2 year old female boxer who plays in a puppy play group every day. She is very accustomed to playing with other dogs and I know that little cuts and scrapes happen when dogs play together. When I came to pick my dog up, she was bleeding profusely from behind her ears and her neck area. The people that worked there assured me they had no idea what happened and to call back if I decide to take her to the vet. I was able to get the bleeding under control and examine her more in the car and she just has tons of very large scrapes all over her. In addition to the bleeding, she hardly ate any of her food. Which is normal for my dog in new situations, so I provided can dog food for them to mix in with her dry food. They didn't even use any of the cans. I wrote about this on her intake form, I told the girl who checked her in, and I wrote a note on the ziploc with her food. I called every day to check on her and no one ever told me anything like this was going on. I will never take her back to any Camp Bow Wow and I am going to make sure all my friends know about the lack of care and attention she received. read more

Hoggle was in camp today so we could go out of town for the day. He came home happy and tuckered out. We watched him on the cam in the lobby for awhile and it seemed to us he was in dog heaven! He gets along well with other dogs so we didn't think he had any issues, but he's also the kind that won't put up with any bullying so apparently that didn't happen either because I thoroughly checked and he has no sores or scratches whatsoever. I started bringing my dog here a few weeks ago. At first, she was TERRIFIED. She thought we were at the vet (probably from all the dog smells) and hid behind me and was very unsociable. After 2 visits, she was no longer scared. She would happily let me hand her over to one of the staff members. This was a BIG deal because my dog is very cautious and hesitant around strangers. She is very distrusting of people she doesn't know. Now, she LOVES going to Camp Bow Wow and she comes home very tired from all of the playtime. The dogs can go inside (in the A/C) and outside at their leisure which is nice because in this Texas heat, I was worried about my dog being outside. The staff are SO friendly and nice. You can tell they really love dogs and the business. There are also Webcams online where you can watch your dog play all day! It is great! Prices are very reasonable, especially if you buy a "package." read more

Camp Bow Wow is a great place to take my dog. I have used Bow Wow for both Day Camp and for Overnight visits with great success. She always has a great time and comes home very tired. The video cameras are great as I get to watch her have fun and make new friends all day long. She really enjoys the "Camp Counselors" and hangs out with them in between romp and roll sessions with her dog friends. The friendliness of the people is what makes Bow Wow special. One concern that was brought up previously is that it is a little on the pricy side, but to me, the price is well worth it. I have brought her to other places for day camp that are cheaper, but they don't get to play all day, just during certain hours. At Bow Wow, the only break they get is for lunch, so they truly do play all day! For Overnight visits, the great thing is that they get to play with all the day campers. This is part of the "all inclusive" service they provide, no extra costs for all-day play! One frustrating thing for other kennels are the extra costs for just an hour of play or a half day, but having a full day included is great and makes for a happier dog while gone. Another great thing is that the overnight charge is for the night period only. So, I could drop off at 7 am and pick up at 7 pm the next day and only have to pay the overnight fee (not overnight + 2 days). This is something that is NOT offered elsewhere (where they have a drop-off and pick-up time to avoid extra fees). I recommend Camp Bow Wow to all my friends that have dogs, with the warning that it does cost more than other locations. read more

During the week is great! It is really good to socialize the dogs. The great thing about the camp bow wow chain is that the overnight dogs can go play during the day. However this location does not allow the dogs to play on the weekends. The only reason why I brought my dog while I was on a weekend trip was so that she could play all day. I was disappointed when I found out that it was no different then any other kennel on the weekend. For 40 dollars I will spend it somewhere else. read more

They both love the place and the people working there based on how they are wagging their tails and dragging me there. I like it that the people there know their names and greet them enthusiastically. They have a camera allowing me to watch the dogs online. Just began to bring my dog here. I absolutely hated the treatment and condition my dog was in when she went to Bayside. The staff is so friendly and accompanying. Love watching the monitors. My only thing is the strong odor of urine she smells like and we have to bather her 2 times after picking her up from daycare. I believe a good solution or suggestion would be to have more grass area than the rocks/ pebbles that hold in the urine odors.... Also my dog seems to hold her bladder all day bc she is only comfortable using the bathroom in grass. read more

I love these guys. They're really good with my Gage. Gage is a disaster and has been kicked out of other doggy day cares because of his aggression, but they know how to calm him and keep him out of trouble. He always comes home worn out though and tired. But sometimes he can seem a little beat up *probably other dogs* but he's a fighter so not entirely unexpected. We love Camp Bow Wow! They have truly been great to us and great to our dogs. We have 2 crazy GSP dogs that go to daycare at least twice a week and we also board them when we go out of town. The manager Kristen is fantastic and has really gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy at Camp Bow Wow. Not only that, but one of our dogs is special needs (3 legs and epilepsy) and they are always willing to keep an extra eye on him and give him rest as he needs it throughout the day. We would highly recommend Camp Bow Wow to anyone looking for a great kennel with great hours that are convenient even for those that work all day! I have been taking my dog here for boarding for a couple of years for up to ten day stays. I no longer know if I feel confident about the care here. Usually the facility smells clean which to me is a good sign everything is being well tended. However on picking up my dog recently from a 5 day stay, my dog smelled SO bad! The facility stunk, and I had to bathe him twice to get the smell out. The stuffed toys I sent for the kennel had to be thrown out. Couldn't get the smell out. Staff is always friendly and I really like being able to watch playtime online. Just not sure about the cleanliness and don't like the fact that weekend boarders don't get the same activity as during the week. I also think the 40 a day boarding price is a bit stiff, although there is a small discount for the tenth boarding day. Otherwise no boarding package or frequent boarding package. read more

I love the Camp Bow Wow concept! My dog (a Labrador Retriever) has been a frequent camper at various Camp Bow Wow locations for a little over a year. He is always all wags when we pull into the Camp parking lot, he can't wait to greet the staff and fellow campers. The staff know my dog by name and I can tell my dog loves interacting with the staff. I am very particular about the care my dog recieves, and when I leave him for Day Camp or overnight, I don't worry about him. They scramble to get out of the car as soon as we arrive. I love the fact that the camp counselors have been there for a long time and they love what they do. If you are a person who wants the next best thing from you taking care of your dog, Camp Bow Wow is where you need to go. I am big on how well I feel like I can trust a place with your dog while you are away and this place does beyond the standard I wanted. They have an awesome website which has a live camera where you can see your dog playing with the other dogs during playtime. There are several play areas for the dogs based on size. My medium-sized dog was with the medium/large/XL dogs and she loved it. The play areas are indoor and outdoor. The indoor play areas are heated/air-conditioned and are included with every stay. The price is on the more luxurious end, but you get what you pay for--awesome service and a happy pup. They allow you to take a quick tour/visit their facilities before you commit to booking a reservation and they require an "interview" with your dog and their trained meet/greet dogs on hand. My dog is super anxious/shy and during the meet and greet she was a little grumpy with the trained dogs, but they tolerated her well and were friendly. Overall, I wouldn't go anywhere else because of how great the service is here. The people who work here really do care about the animals AND their job. read more
