We have intentionally waited to write our review until we used Purfect Pawrtners a few times. Today, we used them for for the fourth time. We really like them but more importantly, our dogs like them. First of all, I like the fact that dogs are free to roam around the shop while others are getting trimmed. It kinda works like a doggy daycare and helps our dogs get socialized with the other dogs that are getting trimmed on that given day. I have seen my two Shih Tzu dogs get mixed in with other medium and small dogs without problems. One of my dogs is really social but the other one has not been. I can say I have noticed a difference in his social behavior with other dogs since coming here. I will also say that our dogs behavior with the groomer is better here as well. We suspect that one of our dogs may have been mistreated by a different groomer we used to use and his behavior while at the groomer has drastically improved since being brought here. Second, we are pleased with the cuts our dogs have received. Most of the time, we keep their hair pretty short. Florina does a good job of getting knots and matted hair removed but on occasion must cut them a little shorter to get it all out. You can tell that she loves all of her furry customers. Bottom line: They do a good job of grooming our animals and the dogs are not caged. We have been pleased. read more

The way they cared for my miniature poodle was as if she was the only customer they had. They loved on her and held her with such warm and caring hearts; I am touched by their love for animals. The first time I came here it went well. My dog seemed happy when I picked him up. Second time (around March), not so good. My dog cut my leg scratching because he wanted to be carried when I picked him up, he seemed scared and shaken up. They began to tell me how difficult he was and how "something must have happened" and more, basically blaming me when they were the only groomers I brought him to since the first time I brought him there. When I got him home, he didn't want to leave my car and didn't even want my mom to touch him and he loves her. It was horrible how scared he was, and fast forward to today he won't even let a groomer do more than bathe him. I don't know what they did to him, probably never will but I'm upset that he's this traumatized because of it. I wish I never brought him here. read more

The first time my dogs were groomed here, I was told by the woman, Florina, over the phone that I could sit and wait for them, and that making sure they didn't interact with other dogs would be fine. They're very elderly and fragile, plus losing their hearing and sight, and we don't like to frighten them with unfamiliarity or risk injury from unknown rambunctious dogs. When I came in, the place was in disarray and there were obviously untrained dogs running loose all over the place behind a rickety low fence separating the entry from the back, with a couple of grooming tables in the middle behind a couch. They managed to keep mine separated from the other dogs by switching them off into my hands, but it was a hassle for everyone because they're really not set up for it, which was not the impression I'd been given over the phone. The guy helping out was terse and disorganized, and at one point one of the other dogs actually managed to run out the front door that he opened. He ran after it and caught it, thank god, but that reinforced my conviction that I would NOT be leaving my pets here alone. But Florina was very nice and did a pretty good job of grooming my dogs so I decided to give them a second try the next time grooming time came around. I called to make the appointments (decided doing both of them on separate days this time might be easier for everyone) and the same guy set it up but then called back five hours later to tell me that they no longer like people to wait because it supposedly agitates dogs to see their people while being groomed, and that if I wanted to wait I'd have to sit in my car. When I pointed out it didn't agitate mine, he claimed I just hadn't seen him having to hold down my dog. One--he didn't groom my dogs, Florina did, so he wouldn't know that one way or the other. The closest he got to grooming them was brushing one while it was drying, three feet in front of my face. And Florina spent half the time she was grooming both of them cooing about how sweet natured and acquiescent they are. So he either confused me with someone else, or he was talking out of his ass. Two--the mere concept of "holding down" either of my fragile, arthritic, easily cowered 5 pound dogs, and that he assumes I would allow it, is unacceptable anyway. I damned well would not allow it. I politely told him that not being able to wait was fine for them but also a deal breaker for me, so to please cancel my appointments and goodbye. The second star is for Florina, and she'd get more stars if it weren't for the rest of this shadiness, but that's the way it is. I'm very unimpressed and I won't be back. read more

I had taken my dogs to another place in League City where we didn't have a good experience, so when I took my dogs to this place I was very pleased with the results. my Australian Shepherd mix and my American Eskimo came out looking wonderful. Words cannot explain how happy I am with Miss Florina today. She did an exceptional job grooming my baby and he came home with a smile on his face! It basically turned into a play date for him and he has two new friends. I think he's in love with Coco! Lucky had his nails cut down and it was way over due. That's very sensitive to me. Miss Florina seems to love every fur baby there and doesn't seem to leave any of them out. I will definitely consider boarding with her if needed in the future. Florinda and Dennis are amazing. I've taken our dogs to 3 different groomers last being pawsh and they were badly abused at each place. We were so nervous to take them anywhere after the last time. They are truly magic workers who make your dog feel safe and happy and loved. She gave me the grooming I asked for for the dogs and took such great care of them. Truly amazing the way they care for the dogs. I took my dog here to get his claws trimmed. He's never been willing to have it done and has even been turned away because of his aggression towards it. These people were extremely understanding in his behavior and were nothing but kind towards him. They filed them instead of using clippers and had me wrap his head in a burrito to keep him from snapping. I left here very happy with the service and results. I called this business because I'm searching for a new groomer. I have a Welsh Terrier who has two coats and the type of grooming is supposed to remove the dead hair at the root, called hand stripping. When the owner called back he had no idea what I was talking about. He said he would talk to the groomer and call back. When he called back he berated me for hand stripping my dog and that I am hurting him. My advise is to do some research on the type of groom before judging me. read more

I took my 5 month old basset hound in for a bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning. They did a wonderful job with him, and brushed his teeth too! It's obvious that they care about the animals and took their time with him. When I came to pick him up he was playing with another dog in their play area. He smelled so wonderful, his coat felt very silky, and his ears were incredibly clean (he does not let me give him a good deep clean on them).
