We have taken our two dogs here for boarding and daycare, and have been happy with the service. One of our dogs is very shy around people. We ran into one of the staff members at Petco, and our dog went right up to him and wanted to be pet (unusual for him to do, so the man must have done right by our dog!). The attendants tell us how they did when we pick them up at the end of the day, which we appreciate. read more

Our four-year-old Giant Schnauzer, Jett, has been going to Camp Bow Wow in Broomfield since he was a puppy. Jett is a playful and energetic dog and absolutely LOVES spending time at Camp Bow Wow! He goes to camp when we go on vacation - sometimes as long as two weeks - and he receives lots of loving attention from both dog friends and human friends. He enjoys spending the day playing and he loves the treats he receives at night. He always ends his stay at camp by being pampered with a good smelling bath. Jett is a member of our family and although he might miss us, he can't wait to go to Camp Bow Wow! He is not at all stressed and eats well while we are gone. Initial visit went great, after that all down hill. Had our pup there for a day of fun and she was left locked up all day. Even called several times and ask why she was not on any of cameras and was told repeatedly that she would be rotated out to play yard, yet she never appeared. Needless to say she was not the least bit tired that evening. Also had signed up for level one of training, trainer no showed twice and canceled once in the first five weeks. Aston the manager, was very indifferent to our concerns. Would never trust this place again with any of my pets. read more

I was new to camp bow wow and had started bringing my loving energetic lab retriever puppy there once a week. I was informed kindly by the staff that it was ok to not make an appointment and just show up whenever for daycare. Every day that I picked up my puppy I was told how much they loved seeing him and how wonderful he was. My experience quickly changed with them. I work right by camp bow wow and took my dog there one morning to be told rudely by a staff member that they wouldn't take him without an appointment. It was my fault for not making an appointment and I take ownership of that but again I was told it was not necessary. I took that to be true especially since I was new there and didn't know any better never using them before. I live an hour away and had no other option. I asked if they could keep him at least crated because I wouldn't make it back home and back for work in time. The employee then said fine and wanted it to be clear that he would be in the crate all day. I said that was ok, thanked her and left for work. Within two hours I got a phone call saying I needed to get my dog immediately and that he is not welcome back. When I asked why she said he bit the trainer and attacked dogs and that I could see the video if I wanted to. I left work to go get my dog and asked to see the cameras. My dog is an energetic lab puppy who never once has even barked or even tried to bite anyone or dog so I was very shocked. When I got there the same employee said she wouldn't let me see the videos and when I asked to speak to the trainer she said she was busy. I asked her if something happened because he's never acted this way before and she just kept saying he was aggressive and couldn't ever come back. I knew that she targeted us from that morning and was looking for anything to get back at me. I spoke to the manager Amy the next day and I give her credit for investigating. Amy spoke to her staff and watched the cameras. My dog was not reading social ques of other dogs and kept wanting to play and nip at them but that was all. Again, he is a lab retriever puppy of course he wants to play. Nowhere did she see any aggressive behavior or biting of any sort. She said it would be best to give him a break to get more training to read cues and to re-interview in a few months. She also apologized for her staff being so rude and not being honest. I can only hope that this situation was taken care of with this employee. Needless to say my puppy will not be re-interviewing and I encourage others to go to a place that has an experienced staff. read more

Camp Bow Wow in Westminster is wonderful!! We needed to take our 8 month puppy in to get rid of his energy and not be so rambunctious. He is so excited every day to camp and is very tired from playing all day. Just what we wanted!! read more

Our puppy is SO happy walking into the building, and whines when we leave! Camp Bow Wow is the perfect way to socialize her and burn off some of that puppy energy. It's also so much fun watching her play on the app with the puppy cams throughout the building. read more

Full disclosure- I've only been here once and it was for grooming not for boarding. They were able to see me with only an hour notice of wanting to come in. The girl on the phone sounded completely clueless but they just opened so I'd assume she was still in training. I had a coupon for a free bath and then our dog also really needed his nails ground. The bath was quick and he smelled great. I do not think they washed his neck or face. He's always great during a bath so I don't know why they wouldn't do his head. Granted, I didn't ask either. I was now concerned with how he would do with his nails. Our dog is a rescue with a history of really bad experiences. To top it off, he weighs almost as much as I do. We cannot cut or grind his nails at home because he just hates it so much. I did warn the groomer that she would need to muzzle him. She said she would do as much as she could. Apparently grinding was out of the question because they could not control him during that so instead they clipped. They didn't clip all the nails though. There was one on his front right paw and two on his back left paw that didn't get touched. Sure, it's a better job than we did when trying at home over the last several months of failed attempts but these are the professionals- I expected all his nails to be clipped. Actually, no. I expected all his nails to be ground down, but was okay with the clipping since they didn't think they could grind them without completely traumatizing him. The cost was only $10 for the nail clipping so I still have 3 stars. I do feel that all and all I did get my money's worth. Would never come back to pay for the dog wash since the regular fee for that is $25. That would not have been worth it in my opinion. Will likely return at least once more for another attempted nail grinding or clipping. read more

Fun place for my two year old lab. He is always excited to go in and is tired out when I pick him up. The staff is friendly and seem to interact with the dogs throughout the day. Only complaint is he has gotten one little cold after spending a few days here but it happens at day cares and resolved quickly. Will return soon! read more

I took my Dog to Camp Bow Wow for free interview. They cared for my dog all day and now whenever I need to travel for emergency I have a ready place to leave my pet. They have a dog cam, (for nervous moms) and they left me with a treat for him and a coupon for a free bath. Thats that way to run a business! read more

Have any of you ever seen the webcams that are at Camp Bow Wow? I'm a dog sitter and the parents asked me to take their dog to Camp Bow Wow in Northglenn while away on their two week vacation because they didn't want their dog to get out of her routine. She was so nervous when I dropped her off and made whiney noises I had never heard her make. She is not super dog-friendly, but loves people. However, she does not bark nor growl or is ugly to other dogs, ever. I've been dog sitting her for five years. Anyway, I logged into the webcams so that I could see how she was doing and I just want to cry. These dogs are all just left in an indoor room with nothing to do. No toys, just some steps. They all keep clamouring for the door and a staff member is standing there squirting them with a water bottle if they act too ambitious to get outside. A staff member walks around and randomly touches a dogs head from time-to-time, but these dogs are on a cement floor with absolutely no stimulation, no interaction. The dog that I'm dog sitting continuously follows the staff member around because she is horribly anxious in that awful room. I wanted to come to the site to see what kind of reviews people were leaving because I am sad to the core at how crazy this is. read more
