Lakeside cabins are traditional cabins filled with up north charm. The lake shore has a great beach for kids and a large dock for adults to sit and talk, enjoy the sun and be able to keep an eye on the kiddos. Boat rental is available or bring your own boat. The Rave and swim raft are great additions to swim out to and get away from others on the main dock. Paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe are also available to resort guests. A play ground, game room and a small general store round out the resort amenities. We wouldn't stay any where else.

At booking she assigned me a room number and a door code. We didn't arrive until late, about 10pm. So we let ourselves in and got settled. We were happy to find a very clean room with all the amenities you could want. A varied assortment of teas and coffee. A comfortable bed. A tv equipped with Roku for all of your streaming needs. WiFi access. A hot shower (after you gave it a few minutes to warm up). All of the fluffy towels you would need (1 floor mat, 4 bath, 4-5 hand towels, 4-5 wash cloths). Also had divine smelling amenities (2 shampoo, 2 conditioner, 2 body wash, 1 hand soap bar, and 1 skincare bar). It was a super cozy room, and I would happily stay/ vacation here again. I can't recommend these accommodations enough. We paid $142.84 and it was well worth it.

Affordable and well-run, even on a low-occupancy Monday. They even provided free firewood at the tent site. Be sure to check out their cabins. They look really cute and comfy. Only downside, tenting, is that due to Hwy 6 construction, lots of detour traffic goes right by Red Rider. Kinda noisy, but didn't disturb my sleep after 7 hours pounding the Cuyuna Bike Trails!

The lighting, the ambiance, the amenities were next level. My friends all commented that it looked like we're staying in a fairy garden and that was exactly how it felt. Beds were very comfortable. Ample plug ins for electrical devices which is pretty rare. The one and only thing I would say that is even close to negative is that the front door was difficult to lock which was a minor annoyance that we eventually figured out. All in all I HIGHLY recommend this resort. My husband has already suggested we book another weekend in a month or two? Do they have a frequent visitor discount?? Lol...we will definitely be back. What we didn't realize was that children, in fact, were not allowed to stay. After abruptly being made aware of this quite important little detail, the owner referred me to their "FAQ" section under the heading, "Is Cuyuna Cove right for me?" She actually expects guests to sift through over 20 FAQs just to find a buried notation that children are "not suitable." You can imagine how devastated we all were, especially our two young children. What's worse is that she, at first, wouldn't offer any refund and even suggested we book another local rental. We've already lost $1,000 and now you have the audacity to recommend forking up another several hundred dollars so we can enjoy a weekend we've planned for months?? We ended up having to turn around and drive the 3 hours back home. No hiking, no biking, no restaurants. For a locally owned business, we are appalled at the utter lack of compassion and understanding.

The cabins were big enough for…read moreour large family, the staff was helpful, the view was beautiful, the accommodations in the cabins were just like home and the resort is right inside of the town of Isle, MN so you're only about a block away from groceries or restaurants. It was a perfect location for our first family trip. The resort has boat rentals, so there is no need to bring your own boat if you don't want to. The resort sits on a bay on the south side of Lake Mille Lacs, so you've got some shelter from the rough water on the main part of the lake on a windy day, and the resort has a protected harbor with multiple boat slips in case you do want to bring your own boat. The only problem that the resort has is that it doesn't have a beach area attached to the resort. This is the only reason why I'm not giving it the full 5 starts. However there is a public beech just down the street that is easily accessible, and they do allow for swimming off of the docks, but the water there is a little deep for smaller kids, and with boats coming in and out of the harbor, it's not great for family swimming, although it's just fine for adults who'd like to just jump in and swim for a bit. The rental pontoons don't have ladders, you you can't jump out of them for swimming (which is another reason I'm not going with 5 stars) but we did find a nice little public boat launch with a sandy beach about one bay over from the resort. So, if you want to take the family or the boat and find a nice beech where you can anchor the boat and go for a swim, this spot is perfect! All in all, we were very happy with the resort, and we will be back the next time our family vacation takes us back to Mille Lacs.

This is the best cabin experience I've ever had. For several years my sister and her family have…read morebeen coming back to Cozy Bay Resort. I've started to join them about three years ago. This has become my favorite week of the year. Cozy Bay is a wonderful resort that revolves around the lake. The cabin itself has full kitchen, ac, tv(that we try hard to not turn on), bedding, fireplace, multiple plugs and all the kitchen utensils. Our cabin was about 10-15 yards away from the lake. We bring our boat every year but, this year, we rented a pontoon from cozy bay. The dock we use is new and again, 10-15 yards away from my front door. There is a clean swimming area for kids(and adults).There is no pool, no bar, no room service. Yet the host will check to make sure things stay clean and make sure all is well. Suzette and Brett are wonderful host. Great people, they really are welcoming, I get the feeling they greet their own family the same way. This place is beautiful! Breath taking views, quiet lake. I always feel the kids are safe to do as they please. There is clubhouse with a small store where kids can buy ice cream, play ping pong or foosball. Cozy bay also have kayaks and canoes to use, this year Cozy Bay added a paddle board! I'm from California and this was my first Stand Up Paddlboard experience! This place is designed to give your family some of the best memories. See you next year!

Was told they would put us on fish and we have been here for 3 days and not a single fish…read more Understandable about the fish because it's a gamble fishing. Was promised tv network and we didn't have any. Was promised the gas in the generator wouldn't run out but it did after one day. Coffee was good and Roxie was a great server. Very polite service but wished for a lot of better commodities.
