My first stay at Camp Lucy One night to celebrate my niece's birthday with her children. I booked two rooms that were very pricey more than charged for a suite at The Four Seasons and The Metropole Hotel. I thought wow this place must really be nice! At check-in I was told that our rooms were not together because I did not book directly with them. That attitude was the beginning.The rooms were nice, but not luxury..no bathtub, no amenities to speak of, no breakfast, my room was not private and not sound proof. The deck and living area look right into my unit a few yards away...when I peeked out...people waved back. That would have been fine if they were my family. I inquired at the desk and was told that the room was offered as semi-private...how is private semi?... But most disturbing was the noise! There is no sound barrier... I could hear every footstep, bump and voice. The hotel had texted me a welcome arrival text, so I responded that the noise level from the adjoining unit was very loud. They responded with apologies etc and said that they would alert the staff to help resolve the issue. After a while nothing happened no response. I could not rest as noise continued so I texted again same response ...much later I texted again ...similar response...I had a terrible sleepless night..Finally I realized that I had been texting with an automated BOT No hotel employee responded or contacted me during our unfortunate brief stay. They had at least two weddings going on, staff was limited and the wait for service showed. Unprofessional management and the so called "luxury" room that cost a fortune and was not sound proof was a regrettable experience. The management did nothing to help us have a nice stay. read more

Went to a beautiful wedding at sacred oaks at Camp Lucy. The wedding was beautiful. Our venue had absolutely no lights in the parking lot! We left at 9 event stopped at 10. We could not see the color of cars you couldn't see where you were parked nothing! Very dangerous and ridiculous! As seniors it was scary. We were able to honk our car and find it eventually!! Please note that I toured Camp Lucy but did not stay overnight. I was a +1 at a Yelp event at Camp Lucy December 7th. This event was both highlighting the onsite restaurant, Tillie's, new tea service and menu as well as the resort itself. While I really enjoyed the sampling of the tea service menu, it was Camp, Tilly itself that blew me away. This multifunction resort is a reasonable distance outside of Austin, but feels like it's 1,000,000 miles from anywhere. The fact that dripping springs is a dark sky city Really adds to that ambience. I just wish it weren't so cloudy when we were there. Our tour took us through the chapel and other buildings that they use frequently for wedding venues, and also corporate gatherings and family reunions. While there are multiple locations to stay at, from houses to rooms that are more similar to a hotel, the cabins with little porches and common areas with fire pits were very attractive and seemed like a fun way to gather family for both a wedding wedding or a family reunion. Not only does the pool area and a list of outdoor activities make the site appealing but the way Camp Lucy developed, and the history of some of the structures are particularly interesting. The family behind Camp Lucy brought buildings as well as furniture, and art from Vietnam and places in the United States to integrate them beautifully into their resort. Currently, there is a spa under construction, which will have its own set of dedicated rooms, making it the perfect location for a weekend, couples or girls or boys getaway. I recently made the trek out to Dripping Springs for a Yelp elite event and boy am I glad I did. Our event began with a small tour of the Camp Lucy property and multiple tastings throughout. I really appreciated all of the staff for planning this special event and I can only imagine the thought that goes into any events or stays here! One of my favorite parts, aside from the delicious food, was learning about the history AND prospective growth of Camp Lucy and Tillie's. Part of the tasting was a sample of what they serve at their afternoon tea: biscuits & jam & clotted cream and smoked salmon bite. Both were heavenly and melted in my mouth! I can't wait to one day treat myself to a whole afternoon tea here. Another thing - I can't wait to treat myself to is theirs newest addition to their property- A SPA!!! Coming Fall 2024! I'm definitely coming back. This is one of the most extravagant stays I've had in a while. The restaurant is amazing. The property is filled with unique buildings from Vietnam and some from Ohio, I believe. Staff are all lovely. The room has such unique and lovely details. The kettle makes different temperatures for different teas - the nicest in-room kettle I have seen. The coffee is a lovely pour over from Vietnam. Hotel room coffee is normally disgusting, but for the first time I just loved it. The products are premium and a brand I love - Aromatherapy Associates. Smelled amazing. It's a brand found only at the best hotels and spas. The bathroom is HUGE. I loved the gallery style lighting. The room furnishings are lovely and filled with antiques from the owners' collection. Comfy bed, super clean, well-appointed. Private patio with views of hill country. My friends had a different room that had a whirlpool brand microwave which honestly was crazy to me because I didn't know whirlpool made small appliances. It's the small things for me because most hotels stock cheap in-room coffee, generic kettles and microwaves. These items are all top of the line at Camp Lucy. Even a Four Seasons has a basic tea kettle without special temperatures. I've had a few hotels with Nespresso machines, but this is the first with Vietnamese pour over coffee. Truly the best hotel room I've been to so far even compared to Park Hyatts, Andaz or Four Seasons. Tip: Front desk offers free feed for the alpacas. You can fish, make s'mores and there are many other activities (free and paid). read more

We had a wonderful staycation at Camp Lucy. It was truly a break from the city and they had many activities to do. The estate rooms are beautiful, comfortable and dog friendly. They have a vineyard that you can walk to, hiking trails both paved and trail, alpacas, fishing, s'mores by the fire and a great restaurant onsite. The restaurant has outdoor seating and heaters if you want to take your dog with you. We also went to the Cello sound bathing in the church which was nice. Camp Lucy provided water bottles to refill and take back to your room, umbrellas if needed, and Vietnamese drip coffee which was a nice surprise. They have a pool as well but since it was cold and the water wasn't heated, we chose to skip. We would definitely come back for a staycation or even a work event. Phenomenal stay at Camp Lucy! 11/10 for this well manicured and thought out resort. They have it all from the swim up pool bar to nature hikes and I must mention the adorable Alpacas. This getaway is a one spot stop with a multitude of activities including archery and this months highlight; a cello sound bath. The restaurant on site, Tillies is a reason to come on it's own. Covered in festive decor, delicious dishes and wine from their very own vineyard. (Must try the Malbec) There are plenty of different room types to choose from all with well thought out details like pour over coffee and giant tubs in suite. This place is amazing!! I was blessed to be able to attend a Yelp Elite event here and it totally blew my socks off! The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. The bartenders were awesome too! The food omg the food at the restaurant is soooo good. We had the Brussel sprouts, homemade cured salmon, butter biscuit with berry jam, cucumber tea and pimento tea sandwiches, Yulu roll honey cake with vanilla bean toasted meringue and my husband had their old fashion and I had their Malbec wine. Everything was truly delicious but the Brussel sprout salad and homemade cured salmon were amazingggggg . Like omg wow! We're definitely coming back to eat here! The Malbec is beyond delicious. I'm normally a Cabernet Sauvignon girl but I could drink that Malbec all night it was that good. This place would be awesome for a wedding. The grounds are just perfect for it. I even think it would be a super cool place to throw a medieval theme or big Halloween party. They have an angelic cello player concert that was giving me total Game of Throne vibes. I came to Camp Lucy for a one night stay on December 15th, 2023 with my partner. Just outside of the city limits, the picturesque town of Dripping Springs is beautiful and is home to Camp Lucy, a Texas Wine Country Resort. What originated as a popular wedding venue has evolved into a full-scale resort complete with on-property activities, an extensive food and beverage program, and luxury accommodations. Prior to checking into our room, we were given a tour of the resort where we learned about the history of the buildings and their Vietnamese, French, and Amish origins. We also discovered that Camp Lucy offers plenty of picturesque settings to use as a romantic backdrop. Additionally, lush forestry and manicured lawns are present throughout the grounds, giving any event a landscaped, nature-inspired setting. The resort also includes a restaurant, vineyard, and sound bath. My partner and I stayed in an estate room, which was beautifully furnished with hand carved furniture and a large bathroom with a modern frameless glass shower (room enough for two). The room also included a small deck from which we were able to view a pristine forest-like setting with deer roaming free. The room also had a step-down den, which had a couch and table and was a perfect place for morning coffee (which was included with the room). I came here for the day with my friend to utilize a resort pass for a fun pool day! The grounds of this property are so beautiful and the landscaping is so thoughtfully placed and vibrant. The pool itself was a good size and has really nice little nooks where you can sit on a bench with a good book. There also were towels provided as well as umbrellas. The music they played was really mellow and relaxing. It totally fit our "white lotus" pool day vibe. There is a bar/pool menu however it's overpriced and not many options so I knocked a star off for that. But they did offer free iced water, the bathrooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Nestled in the Texas Hill County ranch In Dripping Springs , this 1 hour drive from Austin with spectacular views was worth the drive.Camp Lucy opened in 2008 and vineyard in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. So grateful for the chance to celebrate Movember and Men's Health fundraiser at Camp Lucy. We were greeted in a large area for lunch made up from their on site chef with fresh handmade breads. Salads and desserts. This event offered an Olive Oil / basalmic tasting with 4 infused olive oils ( truffle oil- delish). The chocolate balsalmic and rasberry balsamic were our favorite vinegars paired with handmade sourdough bread by their in-house chefs.( I seriously think there bread was as delicious as any have ever tasted ). They offered a glass of Camp Lucy wine from their vineyard and we had someone explaining the pairings with each oil and vinegar. SCRUMPTIOUS. At the end of the class, we went home with fullsize glass bottles filled and labeled with our favorite oils and vinegars. They also offered archery and hatchet throwing at this event .We were not dressed for that so maybe next time will try. Definitely plan on returning the next time in Dripping Springs for yoga and mediation classes or vineyard tours. read more

Lovely stay! Very quiet staycation getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It had rained the night we checked in, so it interrupted the Internet and satellite connection; but Camp Lucy accommodated and made sure it was rectified. It was through no fault of Camp Lucy, as you can't control mother nature. Cozy room amenities: robes heated towel rack, rain shower head, spacious bathroom, fridge/microwave combo in the room, designated living room space, Copper Cow coffee and Tazo teas assortment, and electric kettle. I regret not staying more than a night! Camp Lucy provides a variety of activities you may sign up for such as fishing, petting zoo, and so many other things to do on the campgrounds. Tillie's is also on site, by the hotel check in, so you don't have to venture off campgrounds to have a delicious meal. Overall, lovely place and I can't wait to visit again! read more

Reviewing after first visit. The word resort only begins to describe this unique place. The resort is made up of different antique sites that are imported from different places. The grounds are landscaped really nice as well. They have different logging options and a restaurant on site. I was lucky enough to come out here for Yelp's Holiday Soirée and turned it into a 1 night, 2 day staycation. First off, the staff is phenomenal. I think the service of anywhere I go can make or break an experience, but everyone here was so accommodating, helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. That in itself was a 5/5 experience!! I plan to visit again hugely due to this. The property is beautiful. It is large, but quiet. I wandered around everywhere (including all 3 hiking trails/Vineyard) and rarely ran into anyone aside from the main areas which is nice if you're looking for some solo time. They provide a detailed map and the paths are marked well as well. I had a treetop room and the view was so peaceful. I was on the bottom floor and could hear the movement above me. Beautiful room (reminded me of White Lotus) and came with great amenities - like a full tea box and coffee, complimentary water jugs... the bathroom had a dual rain shower, though not the most intuitive (for me) to operate. The weather was perfect so I spent the morning out on my balcony (it does face east so the sun is bright in the mornings - easily solved by the thick blackout curtains if you are inside). There was so much wildlife. I was so excited to see a family of baby deer running around and playful chasing each other thru the trees. I didn't have a chance to officially dine at Tilly's but I had a few sips at the bar before the event and they brought over a pasta for me on the house! It was a wonderful and much appreciated gesture and the start to a lovely stay. We were also served bites throughout the event that reflected some of what was on their menu. All really tasty. I also tried their Olive Oil Tasting, which I LOVED. So interesting, fun, and informative and a great spread to pair with! It includes (skip the rest of this paragraph if you don't want spoilers and note they do switch out their oils/balsamics annually depending on what is produced) a glass of wine from their Vineyard, and I sampled 5 types of olive oils (Picual from Italy, Coratina/Taggiasica blend from Spain, 3 infused olive oils from California - garlic-infused, jalapeño-infused, lime-infused) and 2 types of balsamics (15-year aged and blood-infused). It comes with foccacia bread, Manchego cheese, and some fruits (though this can also be subject to change as well). I do wish there was a schedule of activities I could preview so I knew what days were best to come do the activities I was interested in (since not everything is available every day - my other favorite similar spots offer a weekly calendar of daily activities) but they did mention to call in to find out or so they can accommodate. I also wish it were easier to see pricing on their online booking calendar so I can figure out the optimal days to come back for a staycation. I highly recommend coming for a staycation! read more

Camp Lucy really does seem like the best of the best wedding venues in the Hill Country. There are several options for ceremonies and receptions, each with their own vibe. Lots of great photo opps and experiences around every turn. My fave? Feeding the adorably derpy alpacas! We stayed two nights after an event we attended on site. We chose a Vista room because we liked the idea of a sitting area in addition to the usual bed/bath. The Vista rooms are beautifully designed and most have gorgeous views. I don't recommend Rooms 210 or 211, however, because they are tucked at the top of the ravine, so the views are mostly obstructed. Our room was well laid-out, but could have benefited from a once-over by the maintenance and housekeeping teams. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed by a very strong bleach smell that lingered for hours. We opened the window, turned on the fans, and vacated the premises for the evening because it was so overpowering that it gave me an insta-headache. We also had a sink that was verrrry slow to drain, a non-functioning heated towel rack, a rainfall showerhead that only partially operated due to mineral scaling, an already opened body lotion, and a tile floor that could have used a second mopping. Fortunately, we secured a special rate that made the accommodation bumps a lot easier to roll with. If we had paid the typical rack rate, I think we would have been super-disappointed. read more

I'm going to be biased, since I got married at Camp Lucy, but trust me; they deserve their reputation. We got engaged in 2019, and fell in love with Sacred Oaks on our first visit in February 2020. We knew this would be the place for us, and for our big french/American wedding. We picked a summer wedding for my french family to be able to travel, so August 21, 2021 was our date. On the same day, a year early, we went there to celebrate and used our wedding couple discount to treat ourselves and get familiar with the property. We had an amazing time lounging by the pool. Only sad part, the restaurant had a fire and was closed that day. We went to Le Vacher and I do not recommend. But that's another story. Back on track, life happened, covid and the travel ban messed up our plans. 4 weeks before our date, we had to postpone because my family wasn't allowed to travel to the states. The camp Lucy staff was amazing. Obviously I was crushed, and they were so supportive. They invited us to come and stay at the Honeymoon suite for our original wedding date, making the loss a lot less painful. They treated us with champagne and treats. I'm so thankful for Jennifer and her team. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts. Flash forward a year later, we booked all 40 rooms for our friends and families and had the most amazing time getting married at Sacred Oaks. We rented golf carts and a bus for people to travel on site and everything went amazing. The staff is very well trained, service is impeccable and all of our guests had a great time (except for the broken system at checkin, but the team still managed). At this point, we've tried the estate room, more rustic, but also the English suite which is stunning, and close to the stedman hall where we had our rehearsal dinner, and the terrace suite which is in the middle of everything and is stunning as well! The suites are pricey but really feel like a treat- they are all unique and there is so much to see at every corner, you'll have a great time! We will cherish our memories there forever and we look forward to celebrating every year by going for the weekend. Laura, Jennifer, thank you thank you thank you, we love you! Pro-tip: go for a romantic weekend. If you're not trying to stay the night, during summer they have the pool passes which allow you to hang at their pool and use credit toward their bar and restaurant. A scenic short 30 minute drive from Austin. We discovered this huge 289 acre property that hosted a work event. We had an amazing lunch at Whit's Inn. On the menu was their signature Caesar Salad with romaine hearts brioche crostini and charred cherry tomatoes. Creamy Mac n cheese with aged cheddar, Jarlsberg and smoked Gouda cheese, Herb and garlic grilled chicken marsala, cremini and oyster mushrooms with a Marsala cream reduction. They offer various activities such as olive oil tasting, archery and hatchet throwing. We tasted 4 different Olive oils and balsamic vinegars made fresh there. Our favorite was the truffle oil and balsamic fig served with Italian bread and various cheeses with Camp Lucy Bending branch wine. It was there Lucy reserve made there at the vineyard. Camp Lucy features upscale luxury lodgings for guests who are looking for a nice retreat in the beautiful Nature. We did a two-day staycation and what I love about Camp Lucy is that they offer a wide variety of luxury lodging options. We picked the "Vista Room" as I'm obsessed with its interior designs. The triangular roof and the wood beams create a cute, homey atmosphere and the moment I walked into the room I felt "at home". The Vista Rooms also has a step-down seating area separate from the bedroom plus a semi-private outdoor patio where we saw many animals including a family of deers and some rabbits. The French windows around the living room area provide great sunlight and a beautiful view of Camp Lucy's rolling hillside - definitely one of the best views to wake up to in Central Texas. The next day we started our morning with a nice brunch at Tillie's, followed by some fun outdoor activities in the afternoon. Camp Lucy (link) offers several different add-on outdoor activities options and I highly recommend it to people who are visiting with a group and/or aim to experience a real Texan getaway. The activities we signed up for were archery and ax throwing and my favorite one was archery. The instructor was friendly and sweet, she brought a speaker into the woods so we were able to pick our favorite tunes as we mingled and learned to aim right. Our very last stop was the alpaca farm. Camp Lucy offers free alpaca food at their front desk for resort guests. Feeding them was one of the cutest and weirdest things I've ever done and I couldn't help but keep wondering where they got those sexy lashes!!? read more

What is sold to you over their website and internet presence is not what you will get. This is a wedding venue & if you're staying here for any other reason, you will be an afterthought. Staff is lovely, understaffed, and over-worked - the restaurant is a management issue & the food is underwhelming. Multiple parties left upset & expressing their disdain. I paid very good money to stay in a suite & I'm "interrupting" an entire wedding party. Hotel guests should not be supplemental income to a wedding venue, I feel out of place & unattended. The grounds were lovely! The front desk service was young and not well trained. When asked a question or needing some help we received the "That's not my job" answer. Do they really not understand that if they refuse to do a request they need instead to say "Let me get someone to help you?" For the prices they charge, basically $500 a night, They should help people checking in and getting ready for the 50 invited guests! Especially since we were told the tables would be set up by 1 which they weren't. The rooms are clean however the Vista rooms have two floor levels separated by one step and, yes, one of our party stumbled and fell down and they hadn't even had a drink yet! The restaurant food was good and the bartender mixed a nice margarita. Over all I'd say it's probably not any better or worse than other event centers... shop around! read more

Update: Not to say it happened with the snap of the fingers but they made up for it (being nice, nothing more). Grabbed a bite and waited...people eventually left. Pool staff and restaurant were very understanding. Can't fault the customer service. However, on a busy day they need some sort of system to keep up with chairs. People saving chairs for people that don't show for hours or peeps that have left and towels appear to be someone...yeah some grapes but it's necessary. Bumped from one to four stars. Deck is foot frying hot and zero shade. Don't expect shade unless you beat the hotel guests when the pool opens. Original: What's the point of the pool pass if you can't get a spot at the pool? Drove an hour to eat an over cooked burger? Damn this is disappointing. WTF!!! read more

I hate to admit this but really the only reason Camp Lucy's Tillie's Restaurant isn't a five in my books is because of the pricing. It makes sense. The drive to Camp Lucy is beautiful. The grounds are breathtaking. The amenities are wonderful. The service at Tillies from the moment you walk in with the hostess greeting you, to her opening the grand doors into the restaurant, to the friendly servers, consistent water servers, generous gift of champagne serving for our anniversary- all top notch. The food changes a little daily but there is a good enough variety that you will find something you will want to discover. Plates are void of sides really. The dish is all inclusive of flavors in one beautiful mound on your plate. ie the Mediterranean Salad was tossed in a light olive oil dressing but had a smear of spicy creamy dressing on the plate underneath the greens that you discover once you start scraping up the smaller morsels. Small to the eyes but big on taste. I left completely satiated. And a little broke. But don't let this keep you from enjoying this gem. The property was named after the mother of the owner (i love that). So make reservations but come early so that you can see the chapel, the biggest oak tree in the county, the imported beautiful woodwork, the absurd views and yes a wonderful though slightly pricey experience at Tillie's. Down a country road in Dripping Springs, you'll find Camp Lucy. Most notably known for it's weddings and beautiful venue spaces, it's also a really stunning, upscale resort. This luxury space features beautifully decorated rooms that are anything but cookie cutter. And the activities are numerous! Just be sure to check the wall of activities in the front office when you check in so you know what's going on during your stay. Gorgeous place. Have been to Tillie's and most recently my company held our holiday party at Whit's Inn. The atmosphere at Whit's Inn was perfect for a small company party. The staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The parking was ample. The food was delicious. We had a small buffet and the pork tenderloin was so delicious as was the red wine demi glacé. Loved the mashed potato bar, it was a huge hit. The butterscotch mousse over the brownies for dessert was perfectly sized and a fantastic treat. Thank you for a lovely evening! read more

Really nice place - the grounds are well maintained and the rooms were excellent. We didn't do any of the organized (i.e., pay for) activities but did it on our own. I highly recommend the Red trail through the woods for hiking - or just walking around anywhere - then hang out by the pool. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My boyfriend and I attended a wedding here in December 2017 for his friends and the venue was absolutely beautiful! The outdoor chapel area and the dining hall at Ian's Chapel had a great layout and it was nice that everything was in close proximity. It actually ended up raining when we were here, but it didn't take away from the beauty of this location. We hung out with the wedding party at the end of the night and it was convenient that they stayed in cabins that were within walking distance. There was also a central fire pit area where we all hung out and warmed up at. We enjoyed brunch at Whit's Inn on Sunday morning following the wedding and the food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the egg migas and their cheese spread. There were some cute and fuzzy alpacas near the parking lot area and we took some time to see them and take pictures with. read more

Absolutely wonderful staff, beautiful facility, AMAZING FLORALS (Hannah!!!!) ALL with excellent service. We LOVED having our daughter and son in law's ceremony at Sacred Oaks. The food is all restaurant grade food, not your average wedding catered food. The tasting experience was my favorite part of all the wedding planning. DO NOT SIGN the ROOM BLOCK form for the cabins on property UNTIL you have confirmed who can stay for 1 night on property- YOU'RE locked into paying for rooms. We did LOVE staying on property, the rooms are INCREDIBLE and all of our family did too. We will be back to stay again and enjoy Tilly's amazing food. This place is a gem!!! They are the best at their game! Make this a must for venue shopping and have lunch at Tilly's. read more

On a very warm weekend when I was visiting my daughter in Austin, she made brunch reservations for us at Camp Lucy, a very upscale and stunning resort. Camp Lucy is a wonderful large wooded property, just 45 minutes from her home in central Austin. They have beautiful venue spaces and ample parking, perfect for events or weddings. The resort includes an offering of very nice cottages of varying sizes, as well as a lovely restaurant, and great pool. We made reservations for the restaurant for Sunday brunch, followed by pool passes to their lovely pool. There were plenty of chaise lounges and towels, as well as a full bar menu. The passes included credit for drinks and appetizers. We enjoyed their gorgeous grounds, restaurant, and their pool, all afternoon. It was a perfectly lovely day! We will certainly return to enjoy their facilities again, and hopefully one of their great cottages too! read more

I booked this venue to host my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We just celebrated at Tillies restaurant last night! Camp Lucy went above and beyond to welcome my parents with a celebration package and an employee greeter who explained all about the Camp Lucy property and history, something my parents really loved learning about! The Terrace Suite was way more than I expected! But it's online pictures on the website do represent it well. It was fabulous! Lovely front room which was cozy, beautiful doors leading to a fantastic bedroom and a bathroom that was top tier! My parents were thrilled to be there and they didn't want to leave! So happy we could spoil them with the help of Camp Lucy for this momentous occasion! read more

Absolutely stunning and the perfect quarantine getaway. We stayed one night in one of the estate rooms with our dog and the resort itself was so accommodating. We were kindly greeted with a glass of wine from their just harvested vineyard onsite. We hiked the property and through the vineyard, which we had to ourselves. We spent some time by the pool and had plenty of space. There were sign ups for time slots to ensure COVID safety. We made s'mores in the evening and drank wine by the fire pit. An absolutely stunning room and soaking tub, couldn't have been better. I wish we'd stay longer and will definitely be returning. read more

I had a mixed experience with CL. First the bad: We toured the venue just before covid hit the US. our sales person, Jennifer Gaines, gave a wonderful tour and promised us a quick lunch at Tillie's after before we left for another venue tour. She said she could fit us in and we could be super quick. Well, after waiting about 30 minutes at the restaurant, they let us know that their brunch was a 2-hour experience and could not be shortened. It seemed Jennifer didn't have much clue what was true. Additionally, she said there were tons of places to stay in the area but could give us none. We should've spotted these red flags. Throughout the rest of our planning process, Jennifer was unresponsive and hard to reach. About halfway through, we had to change our plans due to the pandemic and ended up moving our wedding up and making it tiny, for the safety of everyone. My planner had called her four times and left voicemails, and finally my father got her on the phone and got our new plans confirmed. After that, things seemed a bit cold on their end, as if they were upset we changed our plans (due to a global pandemic) and they were now making less money off us. For starters, they tried keeping us tied to a contract to pay a HUGE minimum, even though we'd have about 160 people less and would be at a smaller venue, half the price of the original. Once my planner got a hold of them and negotiated, they finally gave us a more reasonable price. This treatment was frustrating given the fact we had to give up our dream wedding plans. Jennifer also seemed very snakey, as if all she cared about was the sale and she was willing to say anything to make one. Now the good: Aside from her unprofessionalism and poor communication, our account manager Alex Puryear was great. She was super helpful all around and helped make our day come to life. The wedding itself turned out beautiful. I have no complaints about our day. The service was great and the food was delicious. The venue was gorgeous, thanks to some help from Whim. We had also stayed on the property the two days leading up to our big day, and it was very nice. The cottages were beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for a wedding party. We got to feed and pet donkeys and llamas. And Tillies was delicious and beautiful for our rehearsal. It was a wonderful stay and our wedding was great. I'd definitely come back! read more
