Bloody Mary, take advantage of the happy hour specials

Resting inside Camp Lucy is this gem of a restaurant. It's an old renovated church and the decor pays reverence to the origins. It's best to have reservations and be sure to take advantage of the happy hour given it's a higher end restaurant with the expected higher prices. Our drinks were great and we had the crab cakes, chicken bites and focaccia bread, all were delicious and expertly plated. This was a surprise pop in for us when we were taking a day trip to Austin one day. We were lucky to get seats at the bar this which was amazing given I was approaching hangry town. They have adorable resident alpacas as an added bonus! Definitely a great place for a splurge meal.

Upscale restaurant sith elevated American/French style dishes. We had the Tillie's Wedge salad that was tasty and Portobello Frites. Portobello Frites were made with portobello into fries shape with tempura batter - so decadent and flavorful. Mushrooms never tasted so good lol. Their chicken breast main was a bit of let down as mine was done too dry. and the sauce didnt make the dish pop out enough. My husband also didnt like his ribs too much - it was ok but not spectacular. Service was good and friendly. The interior of course is a highlight and unique compared to a standard restaurant. They have very nice grounds at Camp Lucy and a good spot to check out.

We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance! It was peaceful but beautiful, The woodwork was amazing and the history even more amazing! Food was very good but service was very slow.

An amazing restaurant located on beautiful grounds in Dripping Springs! This has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to it's hard to capture it you just have to go. And make sure to stop and say hi to some friendly alpacas on your way in. Even though we were late they still seated us which I appreciate and the menu was a very straightforward brunch menu. I opted for the standard breakfast(minus the eggs) which was delicious. The jam that came with the toast was actually so good and I enjoyed the lavender latte I got. Overall, the food was delicious but I think you'll be more wowed by the ambiance and grounds of the restaurant.

Tucked away in dripping springs, tillies offers the most beautiful dining experience and incredible food. We went for brunch and loved everything we ordered. I look forward to coming back during dinner.

Tillie's, cute spot. Love the alpacas, entrance, restaurant decor, and gift shop. Staff is usually very kind and welcoming. Food is back and forth for me. Some days good, great, others cold, meh. We definitely enjoy coming out here and trying their different menus, keeps it interesting and never the same.

Very hill country view. It's a restaurant inside of a hotel. Most times, they host wedding event. Lunch menu is very boring and dinner menu is much better. They have a vineyard nearby.

Tillie's will forever hold a place in my heart, we celebrated getting engaged at camp lucy and grabbed dinner at Tillie's right after. The service was amazing and we got 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate. the details, the ambiance and the overall experience was one for the books. they also have alpacas outside the restaurant that you can feed!

Finally had the chance to try Tillie's! I was thrilled to see llamas on the property when I arrived--such a fun touch. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. I'd say the entrées were outstanding, but the appetizers and drinks could use some improvement. We started with the Caesar salad, jumbo crab cake, and housemade focaccia. I only wish the focaccia had been served warm. My cocktail, unfortunately, was unbalanced and tasted mostly of alcohol. For mains, we ordered the mero sea bass, oak-fired short rib, and Texas pork chop. Each dish was beautifully presented and truly delicious. Overall, this spot is perfect for a date or a celebration!

I had a very mixed experience on Christmas Day. On arrival I was seated at a two top next to doors that went outside. There were few tables occupied and I asked to move away from the "traffic". I was told there were reservations (I had one) and they would checked. They moved me to one of the many open 2 tops. I ordered a Spicy Bloody Mary and Brisket Hash. Both had very good flavors. As I started eating I pulled a piece of plastic about 1/16" wide and 2.5" long out of the food in my mouth. A waiter tried to convince me it was onion rather than listen to me or look at it. I laid it on the table. A manager approached quickly and apologized. He offered a new dish and I declined as I already had enough impact on my Christmas meal. The staff was very professional and friendly and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. They took care of the bill. Of course, I left a tip. When I left there were the sane number of empty tables as when I arrived. It just didn't make sense.

Entry to the magical dining room.

A true dining EXPERIENCE, Tillie's is worth the short trip down Creek Road in Dripping Springs! From the unique history of the building, to the level of attentiveness of the staff and THE FOOD - Just WOW! What a treasure!!

Beautiful location and unique ambiance define the dining experience here. The dining area looks like it was build off the structure of a temple- maybe relocated like the church at Camp Lucy? Ample parking, and lovely service. Food was good! We ordered the Halibut Seafood Benedict, Brisket Hash, and a cinnamon roll. Everything we tried exceeded expectations- highly recommend all three dishes.

Cinnamon roll was massive! Good enough to share!

I wished I lived closer for Tillie's amazing brunch!it is a bit far but the drive isn't too bad from Austin. The restaurant is in the beautiful Camp Lucy. The interior decor is like no other restaurant that I have been to. The brunch was delicious we made a mistake of ordering the cinnamon roll as a starter since it was listed as one. We felt like we're adults and can have dessert first if we wanted to! The issue is it's massive and will fill you up. For the entree we got the seafood Benedict and brisket hash both yummy but the hash was slightly better. The Benedict is more of a croquette rather than a traditional English muffin. The service was great and appreciate the small gesture to celebrate my wife's bday!

Beautiful bar and very comfy chairs. We were happy when they added this a few years ago. Service was friendly enough but it lagged at different points during our experience. Here is a review of the food. Wedge Salad - nice iteration of this salad included bacon, onions, cherry tomatoes and blue cheese ranch dressing. Could have used more dressing but serving was big enough for 2. Lamb Osso Bucco - looked good on the plate, tender and tasty but I struggled to find enough meat on the shank. Green Beans - forgot to bring out with entree and were completely overwhelmed by dill Signature Mac & Cheese - nothing signature about it. Thin sauce, bland I have to be honest, I yearn for the days of their blue crab dip and exceptional tenderloin steak. I think Bryan's has lost a step but we'll come back and sit at a table try something else.

Upscale beer is available as well as elegant Yuppie beverages. They have very good filtered water served for free in a nice samovar. I recommend the samovar. * * * I am likely to be fussier about Chicknic than are Bee Cave Residents. I would take those enthusiastic Bee Cave Resident reviews seriously. Factors that shape my not-with-the-crowd views on Chicknic. 1) It is actually harder than one thinks to do a roast chicken and chicken tenders restaurant that beats the competition because the competition happens to be very good. 1a) If you want chicken to die for, Your two best options are to go Peruvian or Guatemalan, All of which are available in Greater Austin. Inka, a Peruvian fast food restaurant on Wells Branch in the Pflugerville/North Austin nether land Makes some of the best roast chicken on the planet. Guatemalan chicken - which is done best if fried, can be found at Pollo Campero in Round Rock and the Buda/Kyle nether land. Pollo Campero is another experience not to be missed. 1b) If you limit the competition narrowly to American fast food chains, the chicken category actually has some of the most high integrity fast food chains in the country. Chick-Fil-A sets the standard for putting out good honest food in a fast food format. It doesn't hurt that they are ecologically responsible as well. They play "Southern Fast Food" because that is what they have to do for marketing ... but they are actually working at a higher level. Boston Market is more in the take-home-dinner niche. But they also turn out a high integrity product. 1c) The level of the competition means that Chicknic really has to be very good in order to beat out formidable rivals. 2) Bee Cave is seriously restaurant short. This is particularly the case given the high density of high income residents. So it doesn't take much to be a major contributor to the Bee Cave scene. Lakeway used to be that way - but Lakeway is finally fully restaurant stocked. Austin and Round Rock are rolling in restaurants. So us Yelpers from out of town can afford to be a little fussier than can Bee Cave Residents who for now are over a barrel. (Over time, Bee Cave will fill in appropriately.) * * * So what is my take on Chicknic? Under-salted. There is not enough alternative spice and not enough native flavor to make up for a basic lack of NaCl. Salt at the table would be a huge form of First Aid here. It could be fancy Pink Himalayan Salt from a gourmet store if management needs something more in sync with the ethos of the place. Strangely the sauce I had (the sweet sauce that comes with the tenders) does not provide enough spark to cover for the chicken. And sad to say, the tenders just are not all that interesting as chicken, given the other stupendous chicken dishes that are available elsewhere in town. It could be the roast chicken is better than the tenders. It could be that the alternative vegetable side dishes are stupendous ... Although - the salt question aside - my traditional French Fries weren't too bad. * * * I think management really wants to have a legendary classy place. Certainly, most Bee Cave residents are not going to drive to Wells Branch to get take out chicken to bring home. Locals give this place enthusiastic Yelp Reviews. I see their point. If you live in Bee Cave, believe your neighbors. If you are the type of person who eats all over the place, then you may be more in agreement with fussy old me.
