I have been curious about Pirates Dinner Adventure for quite some time. Given its close proximity…read moreto a large theme park and another live entertainment, family friendly location, I feel like it's in great spot to attract tourists. With that being said, I had an opportunity to attend a show during a school field trip. Pirates Dinner Adventure is located in the city of Buena Park. It's adjacent to the freeway, just off of the Beach Blvd exit. The parking lot is small, but I think that there was a parking structure in the back. When you walk inside, there is a large gift shop that has a lot of pirate-related items. The restrooms are also located inside of the gift shop. They are small, so it might be best to use it during the show to avoid long lines. The theater is small, when compared to Medieval Times that is a couple of doors down from here. There is a large pirate ship in the center of the room that is surrounded by a small area of water. Each performer represents a color that it associated with specific sections of the room. If that's your pirate, you will be cheering for them. The show itself is full of theatrics, complete with aerial dancers. They have a storyline that they follow and the audience is fully engaged. There is some audience participation throughout the show. Children get to ride in a small boat around the perimeter of pirate ship. Audience members carry "treasure chests" on their heads to keep the energy going. Finally, they have a few kids dress up in pirate gear poised to take action if the pirates don't cooperate. My students loved it! Food is served throughout the show. My students had chicken nuggets with mac n cheese. We drank lemonade and had chocolate cake for dessert. The adults were served a large piece of chicken with vegetables. I didn't eat much, due to dietary restrictions, but the kids ate all of their food. Pirates Dinner Adventure is perfect for the children. I work at an inner city school and this is something that many of our students don't get to experience. From their perspective, I can see how this would be a hit! They loved it, and that's what matters to me. I appreciated being able to share the joy and excitement throughout the show with my students.

If you want to see real jousting inside an arena where you cheer for your own (assigned) knight, then come enjoy this immersive experience where you even eat with your hands like they did in the medieval times! We did not expect long lines where you check in to receive your seat assignment, which determines your section/knight you cheer on. I think we were seated higher up because we came 15mins before the show started, so if you want front row seats, definitely come early (at least an hour early). People in line were very enthusiastic, and there were people dressed up too! They have a bar where you can get drinks inside cool souvenir cups, and there is a really neat gift shop outside the arena, too! If you come early enough, you can even see the horses in their stables. The show and the horses was spectacular! They do amazing tricks leading up to the jostling and there was a falconer act, too! The crowd work was great and contributed to an amazing energy. TLDR: Come for a memorable and entertaining evening. If food is your thing, then nab some Porto's next door while waiting in line so you can truly enjoy an amazing show

Lines were horrendously long, people slowed down the ordering process by asking for samples at the order window. Better planning needs to made for a better experience. The music is deafening. Trash was everywhere!!! The plus side was that more tables and chairs were added. Porto potties were filthy and sinks ran out of water for washing making this a health hazard.

Circus Vargas is a tented circus, just like when you were a kid--but no animals, thank you. It goes…read morearound the Country and we are always so happy when it comes anywhere near LA. LA is too expensive to rent space for this wonderful and fairly priced circus so they go a bit out side of LA, to Lakewood, Downey or Buena Park. It is such great fun and you have to go and take a kid or ten with you. These circuses are struggling so support them. They have performers from all over the world. All of the acts are great and the clowns are funny and they go into the audience. They don't have a bad seat in the house. And again, the prices are so far and they always have specials. Just go to their website and sign up for emails when they are in your area, which could be anywhere. The place is so cute with great popcorn, face painting and toys. It is everything a kid could want.

My husband and I came to her just one month before our wedding with no dance experience at all, asking for a choreographed dance. She listened carefully to our song choice and created a beautiful, fun routine that made us feel confident and comfortable. Coach Anna was flexible with our schedule, always punctual, and her rates were very reasonable -- especially compared to other studios we had contacted. She was truly the only one who offered exactly what we needed. Thanks to her, our first dance was a huge hit at our wedding! We couldn't be happier and highly recommend RICA Dance Studio and Coach Anna for any of your dance needs.

I want to say that the theater holds maybe 75-100 people...? Comfy seats and every seat is a great view. Prices are great, our last show was $39 each. The actors are fun and you can tell they absolutely love doing what they do. They are there to make everyone happy including themselves and their fellow castmates. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! I hate to even give a great review because I don't want people to buy up all the seats from under us, but yet I want to also give this theater a huge and happy round of applause for being FANTASTIC!! We have been coming to shows at the Maverick for years. My…read morewife bought us tickets to their incredible "Night of the Living Dead" play. It was the best surprise- I had no idea until we arrived. The Maverick puts on this play every year and it is outstanding. Their seasons always bring unique, quirky shows. From King Kong to Rocky Horror to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There is always something cool happening. Brian, the owner, is dedicated to theater and is a friendly, welcoming guy. The staff and actors are wonderful as well. Probably our favorite local theater.

We have seen three shows at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, finding a great production…read moreof "Waitress" last year that introduced us to this theatre. More recently, we enjoyed "Frozen" and "Come From Away" and are excited for many of the upcoming shows for the season! The production quality for this mid-size theatre is excellent! The theatre is not huge, but there are many seats to fill. We have sat in rows Q, R, and S, and the views are still great! Seats are relatively comfortable and easy to find as well. Show prices will vary on where you sit, but it does feel intimate enough to connect with the actors wherever you sit. Even though we live nowhere near the area, La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has become one of our favourites. Additionally , the parking lot is huge due to the many businesses in this plaza, and we've always been able to park relatively near the theater. Plenty of food options here, too! We will gladly drive the extra miles to support the arts and enjoy musical theatre in La Mirada!

They do a good job of making the pre-show experience a pleasant one. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is a bar inside and outside, with the same offerings. They offer themed drinks to the show. People came out to enjoy the nice weather and the pre-show experience. The bathroom had many stalls but that didn't stop the women's from forming a line. Parking is free.

There were ten skaters, three were male, seven were female. There was a couple of aerial acrobats too. Such a great show to catch. We were lucky that we were finally able to see it. Brad invited young children to do a few magic tricks. This is truly an interactive show. There is a neat gift shop where you can purchase the magic book and get autographs from the magicians.
