    Medieval Times arena

Had a great time at Medieval Times with the kids. We were there for a FieldTrip during lunch hours and the atmosphere was fantastic. Everybody was very fired up for the knights. The jousting was great fun. Beautiful horses and history plus a meal? Hard to beat! Definitely would recommend for kids. Plenty of merchandise available. If I had to make a suggestion, I would cut down the wait time indoors - too many people too close while waiting to enter the arena. Would make more sense to enter arena in smaller sections.

Had a fun time at the medieval times show. The ticket comes with a meal. The meal consists of half a chicken, garlic bread, tomato bisque, half a piece of corn, half a slice of potato, a soft drink/water/coffee, and a chocolate eclair. The food was just okay. The chicken was partially dry and partially juicy. The tomato bisque tasted like they juiced tomatoes, and the corn was dry. The eclair was my favorite; not too sweet and also creamy. Most things tasted pretty dry but that's okay since they're known for the show. The servers there were kind and served our food quickly. The show was super fun and the energy that the crowd brought was amazing! Would recommend if you've never been.

It's been years since I've been back and it seems to be way better this time but also we got VIP this time around We were here to celebrate a birthday and we got the VIP tickets. We had our own special VIP landyard sine we got the Royalty tickets. The seats were dead center and great views of the show! The riders even came up to us and tossed us flowers! Super interactive and fun to watch. We didnt realized how loud and potentially scary it would be the kiddos. Some of the parents had to take the little ones out when they were dimming the lights and strobbing the lights. Overall the show was really fun to watch. The food wasnt bad at all. The chicken was actually really moist. It was a good amount of good given cause I was stuffed when the dessert came out. Lots of photo ops throughout the venue. Cool spot for kids and adults too!

Medieval Times was a fun and entertaining time! My wife and I had not been here for many years. We attended the dinner and show this past weekend with her family and everyone had an enjoyable experience. The parking is spacious, but on this particular Saturday it was soo busy. The whole venue was packed. They have tons of merch and toys. You can purchase alcohol before or during the show. The food itself is ok. You eat everything with your hands like the olden times. Something new to note is they have options for those with dietary restrictions. They offer a Vegan meal now. The whole atmosphere is loud and cheerful. We were in the Green Knights section and we cheered and clapped during the show. Our waiter was awesome. The whole show is about 2 hours. The actors did a solid job with their performances and we were really cheering and rooting for our Green Knight in our section. It was an enjoyable time and worth going if you have never been. You know I commit to the most absurd side quests and in the best way like driving down from LA to eat with your hands and scream for knights like it actually matters. But Medieval Times in Buena Park is 100% worth the trip. BIG UPS!!!! This ended up being a full nostalgia play, except I never even went as a kid. Most of my friends had already done it growing up, so walking into it brand new made the whole thing hit even harder. I was genuinely so into it. I had read mixed reviews about the food, so I went in with low expectations, but honestly I loved it. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and way better than you'd expect for a massive dinner show. Eating without utensils just makes it more fun. The staff really stood out. Everyone was friendly, patient, and fully committed to the experience the entire time. It's not easy to keep that energy going all night, and they made it feel effortless. The show runs about an hour and forty five minutes and never drags. It's entertaining, a little chaotic, and easy to get swept up in whether you expect to or not. Bucket list officially checked. This was a 12 out of 10 experience and I'd absolutely go again. ALSO SIGNUP FOR THE NEWSLETTER BEFORE YOU GO AND THANK ME LATER!!!

High school event night for seniors only. (Cypress high school and other sounding schools) My son had fun (his first time here last time he attended he was a toddler) had a blast. Definitely enjoyed hanging out with his friends and staff. Service was good and the show was awesome. We need to come back as a family next

Good Knight The whole concept of "dinner and a show" has become a somewhat antiquated idea these days. I mean, sometimes people-watching is far more entertaining than any show that's happening, but Medieval Times sword fighting Knights and knaves might have something to say about that. Medieval Times dates back to the '60s in Spain, of all places, before it became a thing here in the US back in the '80s. This Buena Park location is actually their 2nd US location (ca. 1986), as there's now nine of these in the US, and one in Canada. The Good: *Huge free parking lot *Beer on-tap, as well as a full bar to keep you lubricated for all the death and mayhem. *Actors were a little over the top but still a lot of fun. *If you love jousting and sword play, then this is the place for you. *Overall, the food wasn't half-bad! I don't think it's changed much since the last time I was here (late '90s), but you get a full rotisserie chicken, garlic bread, soup baked potato, and grilled corn. I will say the grilled corn and potato were the stars of the show, as the chicken was just OK. There's also dessert, but we'll get to that in a minute. *Great family entertainment as my sassy, grumpy 15yr-old son had a great time, which is saying a lot these days. The Meh: *It is a little pricey at ±$80/ea but you gotta figure an operation like this ain't cheap to run, and in the end it was a lot of fun. #worthit *Vegetarian option is pretty weak with some hummus, PiTa bread, and veggies. Veg-heads are definitely not getting their money's worth here. *There's lots of opportunities for you to spend extra money here, as well. From photo opps and souvenirs, to premium seating. The Ugly: *The dessert portion was an Éclair that was beyond horrible. My fat ass will eat a lot of shit for no good reason, but even I could only manage about two bites before I set it aside. Conclusion: Big family fun, but for a price.

I had always wanted to go to Medieval Times and finally it happened! I was just as excited as a little kid to go. I wore the same dress I wore to Renaissance faire and was so excited to get on the blue team so the crown matched my dress. Cocktails are pricey but if you want to get a memento glass then it's fun to purchase something from the bar before entering. I Love love love how everyone is in character from the beginning and it had me talking in some accent to pretend I'm part of it. We sat in the middle-ish area, not too close but not very far away and I'm glad we did. I think the people who are right in the front row risk some dirt flying at them from the arena when the horses are running. It's so fun watching the jousts and the games and everyone cheering. The food is pretty good, the chicken is a giant portion, juicy and tasty. There is a small tomato soup, corn, and roll that comes with it and you can get water or soda in your goblet. The dessert was just ok. The portion is large so you do get to take some home for leftovers. Overall a super fun experience for me, the kids love it, but I think us as adults have just as much fun as the kids! Definitely a fun getaway from regular life for a few hours!

Right next to Knott's berry farm! Lots of parking. This place is busy and packed! We got the VIP experience with 2 cool photos to take home and crowns and necklace. Everything really lives up to the name; Medieval times. The restroom was really smelly, maybe that was the vibe they were going for but yeah...haha. If you go, make sure to bring a jacket! It gets really cold once you sit down. It is pretty cramped. There are no utensils! So I brought my own because I heard other reviews. We got a whole chicken and it was sooo juicy, though I did feel quite rushed when it came to eating because after 10 minutes of recieiving the chicken, they asked if we needed a to-go box. Really fun experience we had for our 11th anniversary. Don't be afraid to be loud and cheer for your team! That's what makes this fun!

If you're seeking a dining experience that offers something beyond the ordinary, this is a standout choice. The live show adds an engaging, dynamic element that keeps you entertained throughout the evening while you enjoy your meal. The cuisine was well-prepared and satisfying, complementing the overall experience. I visited with a group of friends, and it made for a memorable and fun night out. Our server was super friendly.

Here on a Sunday evening, my first time here and probably my last. All staff were super friendly but others like our waiter, although he was friendly, he was extremely busy. I felt that he was in a huge rush to get everything served that he didn't have time to really check up on us. Here is why I wouldn't come back. -seats are the worst ever. Absolutely no leg room (you have more leg room on economy flights). Impossible to stretch your legs and literally hitting the people next to me bc of lack of elbow room. Just plain awful!!!! And don't even think about going to use the restroom..no way to get out. In order to get out, you'll have to ask 6-5 people to get up and literally move out of the row so you can leave and/or sit back down. Ridiculous!! And never again! -food was mediocre and reminded me of hospital cafeteria food. And the lack of extra napkins is crazy! -dessert was disgusting!! Stale, dry previously frozen dollar store "eclair" and bc we paid for VIP a slice of white cake with extra sweet frosting. -animals (horses) I felt so bad for the horses. They looked sad and a couple were drooling pretty bad & one literally had its tongue off to the side of his mouth. This all indicates a badly placed bit and bridle..basically discomfort for the animal. Horrible to witness this!! I will never come back and will discourage anyone from attending.

We recently visited Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and overall had a really fun experience. Check-in was quick and easy. Upon arrival, you're given a colored crown that corresponds to your seating section, which adds a fun, immersive touch right from the start. They also take your photo after check-in if you want a souvenir. Once inside, there's a large lobby area where you can grab drinks and browse merchandise like crowns, swords, and other themed items. When it's time for the show, you're called into the dining arena by your assigned color. Seating is at long banquet-style tables with stadium-style chairs. Be aware that seating is pretty tight... once everyone is settled, it's a bit difficult to get up, especially if you need to use the restroom during the show. For drinks, you're offered non-alcoholic options (Pepsi products), and the meal begins shortly after. The first course was garlic bread and tomato soup, which was surprisingly delicious, rich, creamy, and flavorful. True to the medieval theme, utensils aren't provided unless you specifically ask for them. The main course included roasted chicken, a quartered potato, and corn on the cob. The food was decent and satisfying, though fairly simple. Dessert was an éclair, which was just okay, not particularly memorable. We also upgraded to the celebration package, which came with a slice of cake. It was sweet and enjoyable, similar to a classic Costco-style cake. The highlight of the night was definitely the show. The horsemanship and jousting were impressive and really engaging from start to finish. It's clear a lot of effort goes into the performance, and it made the entire experience worth it. Overall, it's a fun and unique night out... especially for families or anyone looking for something different. Just be prepared for tight seating and simple food, and go in ready to enjoy the show! Side note: tip is not included but if you don't have cash, your server will provide you with a QR code for their Venmo.

We had a great time here! The show was so fun and long! Worth the money. We had a few courses and every one of them was filling! Our server was attentive and fast! We loved our time.

    Do you offer utensils?

I feel like they have the options but it's all pretty easy to eat by hand.

How do people dress at this, casual, jeans and top?

Very casual. Keep in mind it's kind of cold inside too.

What age for children is appropriate to see the show? Would a 4 year old enjoy?

Hi I would say it depends on the child. Some 4 year olds are used to going to restaurants and are comfortable sitting for a long time. The show is super fun, and if your child likes horses that would be a plus.… Read more

Has the quality of the performance and show experience been negatively impacted by the Hollywood actors/SAG strike? Is it still worth going? The strike could last for months.

I don't think the quality has been negatively impacted however, they were short actors and they we're definitely missing. They compensated pretty good but it was still somewhat scaled down a little. My family still had a good time. The food was ok.… Read more

Is the $25 + each upgrade worth it ? How's the food

No, it is not worth it, and the food is subpar. You eat here for the entertainment not the food.

How is the smell- I went went I was in middle school and it was bad back then.. how is it now?

    No smell at all.

Can I purchase a souvenir cup there or do I have to purchase when I buy tickets online?

Souvenir cups are available on site. You can purchase beverages with different souvenir cup options such as a drinking horn and other Medieval Times labeled glasses.

    Is this place stroller friendly?

I would yes, it's pretty wide open and the facility has ADA seating and wide aisles

    What are the covid protocols?

Have to wear masks the whole time, except for when sitting at your table.

I read that strobe lights are used. How extensively?

It's not a ton but throughout the show a few times. Whether any symptoms could be triggered in someone who would be affected by strobe/flashing lights is probably dependent on their sensitivities.

    Are they open now?

    Yes they are

    How long is the show?

    90 mins

    How long is the show?

About 2 hours. Get there at least 30 min early to browse merch and the torture museum.

Can you see the horse in the stable before or after the show?

The horses are behind a window, which you can see after the show

Adulto: $ 63.95, Niños menores de 12 años: $ 36.95. Sí, la comida está incluida.

    Of course

    What is the vegetarian option?

    There isn't one.

How early should we arrive and are the general tickets good or should I upgrade? Planning to go on a saturday

Thirty minutes early should be fine; and for us, when we upgraded, we didn't feel it made any difference, as we'd been before. You can see from everywhere and the meal is the same. The VIP upgrade just wasn't as impressive as we'd hoped, I guess.… Read more

Pass through a bookcase disguised door like at the Magic Castle and enter a crimson velvet tinged world of Cabaret.  Comfortable sofas for the big ballers while the rest of us are relegated to tall bar stools with no back. Don't get too toasted & sloshed or you could fall back backwards.  3 man band starts playing stalwarts of the American Song Book about 15 minutes before show time at 7pm. The doors open at 6pm. The 2nd show starts at 9pm.  You can order a short list of bar food, and there is a full bar, but obviously no loud blender to disrupt the show which runs around 90 minutes. So it is possible to dine before or after at French influenced Shirley where you get a 15% discount showing your La Cage tickets.  Then doing a post prandial libation at the Lounge or an alcohol based Milk Shake at 25° to make it a full evening at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Drag is a venerable art form. In Shakespeare's time, the Globe Theatre had only male actors so Drag was de rigueur as well as the ancient Japanese Kabuki Theatre which is still all male to this day.  Host Tommi Rose, 47 year Drag veteran originally from the La Cage aux Folles Night Club in the 1980's as well as at famous Finocchio's in San Francisco during the 1970's, does a flurry of 13 costume changes ending with a silver beaded dress weighing 28 lbs.  A Marilyn Monroe, who is a dead ringer to the original, performs flawlessly channeling her inner Monroe. Lady Gaga makes an appearance lip synching to songs when she sang with Tony Bennett. The in between acts had a "Cabaret" Berlinesque feel that Liza Minelli would have been pleased.  The Torch Song finale was a rousing, feel good rendition of "I Am What I Am" from the song originally introduced in the Broadway musical La Cage aux Folles.  It was a poignant song that makes no apology nor excuse for who we are. And that is the way it should be.  Enjoy the Drag!!!  PS Get rid of the annoying two pillars blocking the view of the stage.

Felt like a VIP movie night (with one tiny wrap flaw!)…read more Let me start with a quick parking tip because it's definitely in the fine print: there's "One Garage" literally right next door that offers complimentary 3-hour parking once you get validation from iPic, the only garage to get validated! Sounds amazing... until you show up and it's already full... which was what happened. Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. We had such a great experience -- the ambience, service, and overall vibe were top-tier. Can't wait for our next cozy movie night here!

Unfortunately, after the movie ended, I forgot to put it back on and left it there. Since it was the last showing, there were no movies after ours, so nobody else should've been in that theater besides staff cleaning up. I called the theater nonstop that same night and nobody answered. The very next morning, I was the first person to walk into the theater when they opened... and surprise, the ring was gone. LOL. Really disappointing experience, especially considering how expensive and "luxury" this theater tries to present itself as. I expected much better customer service and honesty.

I love this theater so much…read more The seats are great. Food is good. Movie experience is the best. This time though, we had some issues. We got the dine-in seats. Fork and knife I think it's called. We were in the back row. Both of our seats didn't recline. I pressed the button and it didn't move at all. It was broken. My husband's chair was broken too. Disappointed there. Then there was the ticket fiasco. My husband and I got there early. Thankfully we did. We grabbed our back row seats and were excited for the movie. Some poor came over to us and told us we were in their seats. We showed them our tickets. They showed us their tickets. They both had the same row and seats. What the heck? We were confused. So they went back down and talked to AMC employees. Got their tickets fixed. A little later, another group came over to us and told us we were in their seats. Same issue again. They had 3 people though. Those 3 people, had to go to AMC staff also. My husband and I noticed other people in the theater having issues with their seats as well. Lots of unhappy customers with triple booked seats. Yikes. All bad. So between the triple booked seats and our recliner chairs not working, it wasn't the best experience. Also, the audio in our movie kept going out randomly. We were watching Mortal Kombat and it was intense fight scenes, then the sound would stop. That happened twice. We should have complained. The overall experience was unsatisfactory.

I decided to give the AMC DINE-IN Fullerton 20 a try on 02-08-2026 to watch Solo Mio. I like previews, wifey does not, so we got there in time to miss all of the previews. Stand in concession line. No complaints. Wait in line 10 minutes for the 1 person working concession? I remain unfazed; does not bug me at all. Nope, what AMC had to do to let me know I have been missing nothing all of the years I went to the Krikorian theaters is for me to finally arrive at the front of the line - and then to have someone that just bought their ticket walk to an adjacent and previously empty line, and have the 1 person working concession say, "Can I help the next VIP customer" (apparently there is some kind of a VIP line that trumps/bumps us mere peasants back in line). Elitism in a theater that shares a parking lot with a Costco feels a bit pretentious, but to each their own - I appreciated the loud and clear signal that AMC's are not my type of theater - I have good experiences at Krikorians and Regals.

I'm a little torn at how to rate this Courtyard by Marriott location…read more On one hand, my room was outdated and the elevators to the second floor (this location only has two floors) is not right by the lobby, but rather towards the middle of each hallway, so not very intuitive. The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here. The most convenient thing is that Porto's is across the street. Trust me when I say, do not drive over to Porto's. Take advantage that you're at the hotel across the street and walk over to save time! There's also lots of uncovered parking on both sides of the property, so you can pick where to park to be closer to get to your room, though it's an open lot, so anyone can come in and out and there's no shelter from the rain. The lobby area has been renovated and is really nice if you need the space and quietness to do some work, wait for your room to be ready, or just to hang out. Staff was pretty awesome too. We had to blow up some balloons and they allowed us the use of an empty meeting room so that we do not disturb anyone in the lobby.

Supposedly this is a Marriot property? lol…read more Truth is: Marriot just took over this place 5 mos. ago... & are "renovating." However, no capital or energy has been thrown at this place bc it is dirty & rundown. I, personally, am not hard to please, but my family had had enough. Our room had an uneven floor (sloping up & down like a funhouse) & the floor was dirty (doesn't bother me bc I wear slides). The linen had small specks or dirt or something. The toilet didn't flush; so when anyone in my family used it, I'd have to go in after & lift the top porcelain lid to manually use the chain & drain to make the toilet flush (that proved difficult bc the gasket was worn out on the seal of the drain inside the toilet). A person from the front desk was called, came in for about 20 seconds, & then left saying it was fixed. It wasn't. It was broken again right after, so back to lifting off the procelin lid again & doing amateur plumbing stuff while on vacation everytime someone in my family used the bathroom. But... the silliest thing was a sheet of printer paper used as a sign posted on a door window to access one of the hallways. To paraphrase, it said: "Please wear masks in the hotel & maintain 6 ft of social distance." Lol The staff is so lazy & demoralized by the poor condition of the hotel that they can't even be troubled to take down some ancient Covid sign from like 2020 or 2021. Again, I wouldn't have even left if my family hadn't complained about the broken toilet. I hope Marriot is aware that the renovation at this hotel is progressing at a snail's pace (or slower). We're loyal Marriot customers... so we understand that this location is not representative of their typical brand quality.

The rooms were dirty, floors turned our feet black, bathrooms had visible mold/grime, stained sheets, and several of us woke up with bites. Room 107 even had a bathtub overflowing with dirty black water, and despite reporting it, nobody ever came to fix it. To make things worse, customer service was dismissive from check-in to checkout. We were overcharged at arrival, staff were unhelpful, and follow-up regarding a lost item was a complete mess. This hotel seriously needs renovations, better cleanliness standards, and better management. Definitely not worth anyone's money. 1 star review is being nice, I wish we could rate it negative stars.

The wings were so bomb and fresh!!! The happy hour red cabineret wine was also good!! The service was actually outstanding here!!! The hostess was very nice and sweet, she helped out the whole time and let us move from the seat we didn't want to sit at. Also, our server Ray was just amazing!!! Very nice and personable. She recommended good things to eat off the menu. Thanks for that!!! The manager Ed was also really nice and was the best!!! He was super cool and very down to earth!!
