I'm surprised to say I had more fun on my second visit than my first. This time around, there were no animal cruelty protests outside, so it wasn't awkward walking in. We arrived just in time, and the show started right as we got to our seats. The show was enjoyable, and it felt like they had added a few things since I last visited a couple of years ago. It was fun rooting for a different colored knight, even though the outcome was the same (he lost!). The food was surprisingly good this time. My chicken was super moist and tender, whereas last time it was dry and nearly inedible. The potato was well-seasoned, and I enjoyed the corn. Overall, it was good food for a dinner show. I came with a larger group this time, and we all had a blast. It's definitely an activity I'd do every so often, and they always seem to be running deals, so it's worth checking online for a promo code before you go. Parking - Easy. They have a large lot with plenty of space.

Had a surprisingly good time here. We got the queen's royalty upgrade since there was a discount code online and it worked out to be about $100 per person for a full meal, a show, as well as a picture souvenir to take home. It was well worth it. Let's start with the show. It was entertaining and had some unexpected plot twists, which was cool. Food was surprisingly good and I enjoyed everything except the dessert, which I found to be too sweet. I also thought it was really smart of them to serve food that could be eaten with your hands, just like in the medieval times, which also cuts down on utensils. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can see this being a really fun experience for families with kids or just for an adult birthday party/celebration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend!

Had a fun time at the medieval times show. The ticket comes with a meal. The meal consists of half a chicken, garlic bread, tomato bisque, half a piece of corn, half a slice of potato, a soft drink/water/coffee, and a chocolate eclair. The food was just okay. The chicken was partially dry and partially juicy. The tomato bisque tasted like they juiced tomatoes, and the corn was dry. The eclair was my favorite; not too sweet and also creamy. Most things tasted pretty dry but that's okay since they're known for the show. The servers there were kind and served our food quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The show was super fun and the energy that the crowd brought was amazing![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend if you've never been.

It's been years since I've been back and it seems to be way better this time but also we got VIP this time around We were here to celebrate a birthday and we got the VIP tickets. We had our own special VIP landyard sine we got the Royalty tickets. The seats were dead center and great views of the show! The riders even came up to us and tossed us flowers! Super interactive and fun to watch. We didnt realized how loud and potentially scary it would be the kiddos. Some of the parents had to take the little ones out when they were dimming the lights and strobbing the lights. Overall the show was really fun to watch. The food wasnt bad at all. The chicken was actually really moist. It was a good amount of good given cause I was stuffed when the dessert came out. Lots of photo ops throughout the venue. Cool spot for kids and adults too!

Medieval Times was a fun and entertaining time! My wife and I had not been here for many years. We attended the dinner and show this past weekend with her family and everyone had an enjoyable experience. The parking is spacious, but on this particular Saturday it was soo busy. The whole venue was packed. They have tons of merch and toys. You can purchase alcohol before or during the show. The food itself is ok. You eat everything with your hands like the olden times. Something new to note is they have options for those with dietary restrictions. They offer a Vegan meal now. The whole atmosphere is loud and cheerful. We were in the Green Knights section and we cheered and clapped during the show. Our waiter was awesome. The whole show is about 2 hours. The actors did a solid job with their performances and we were really cheering and rooting for our Green Knight in our section. It was an enjoyable time and worth going if you have never been. High school event night for seniors only. (Cypress high school and other sounding schools) My son had fun (his first time here last time he attended he was a toddler) had a blast. Definitely enjoyed hanging out with his friends and staff. Service was good and the show was awesome. We need to come back as a family next

You know I commit to the most absurd side quests and in the best way like driving down from LA to eat with your hands and scream for knights like it actually matters. But Medieval Times in Buena Park is 100% worth the trip. BIG UPS!!!! This ended up being a full nostalgia play, except I never even went as a kid. Most of my friends had already done it growing up, so walking into it brand new made the whole thing hit even harder. I was genuinely so into it. I had read mixed reviews about the food, so I went in with low expectations, but honestly I loved it. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and way better than you'd expect for a massive dinner show. Eating without utensils just makes it more fun. The staff really stood out. Everyone was friendly, patient, and fully committed to the experience the entire time. It's not easy to keep that energy going all night, and they made it feel effortless. The show runs about an hour and forty five minutes and never drags. It's entertaining, a little chaotic, and easy to get swept up in whether you expect to or not. Bucket list officially checked. This was a 12 out of 10 experience and I'd absolutely go again. ALSO SIGNUP FOR THE NEWSLETTER BEFORE YOU GO AND THANK ME LATER!!!

Good Knight The whole concept of "dinner and a show" has become a somewhat antiquated idea these days. I mean, sometimes people-watching is far more entertaining than any show that's happening, but Medieval Times sword fighting Knights and knaves might have something to say about that. Medieval Times dates back to the '60s in Spain, of all places, before it became a thing here in the US back in the '80s. This Buena Park location is actually their 2nd US location (ca. 1986), as there's now nine of these in the US, and one in Canada. The Good: *Huge free parking lot *Beer on-tap, as well as a full bar to keep you lubricated for all the death and mayhem. *Actors were a little over the top but still a lot of fun. *If you love jousting and sword play, then this is the place for you. *Overall, the food wasn't half-bad! I don't think it's changed much since the last time I was here (late '90s), but you get a full rotisserie chicken, garlic bread, soup baked potato, and grilled corn. I will say the grilled corn and potato were the stars of the show, as the chicken was just OK. There's also dessert, but we'll get to that in a minute. *Great family entertainment as my sassy, grumpy 15yr-old son had a great time, which is saying a lot these days. The Meh: *It is a little pricey at ±$80/ea but you gotta figure an operation like this ain't cheap to run, and in the end it was a lot of fun. #worthit *Vegetarian option is pretty weak with some hummus, PiTa bread, and veggies. Veg-heads are definitely not getting their money's worth here. *There's lots of opportunities for you to spend extra money here, as well. From photo opps and souvenirs, to premium seating. The Ugly: *The dessert portion was an Éclair that was beyond horrible. My fat ass will eat a lot of shit for no good reason, but even I could only manage about two bites before I set it aside. Conclusion: Big family fun, but for a price.

Had a great time at Medieval Times with the kids. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were there for a FieldTrip during lunch hours and the atmosphere was fantastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everybody was very fired up for the knights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The jousting was great fun. Beautiful horses and history plus a meal? Hard to beat! Definitely would recommend for kids. Plenty of merchandise available. If I had to make a suggestion, I would cut down the wait time indoors - too many people too close while waiting to enter the arena. Would make more sense to enter arena in smaller sections.

I had always wanted to go to Medieval Times and finally it happened! I was just as excited as a little kid to go. I wore the same dress I wore to Renaissance faire and was so excited to get on the blue team so the crown matched my dress. Cocktails are pricey but if you want to get a memento glass then it's fun to purchase something from the bar before entering. I Love love love how everyone is in character from the beginning and it had me talking in some accent to pretend I'm part of it. We sat in the middle-ish area, not too close but not very far away and I'm glad we did. I think the people who are right in the front row risk some dirt flying at them from the arena when the horses are running. It's so fun watching the jousts and the games and everyone cheering. The food is pretty good, the chicken is a giant portion, juicy and tasty. There is a small tomato soup, corn, and roll that comes with it and you can get water or soda in your goblet. The dessert was just ok. The portion is large so you do get to take some home for leftovers. Overall a super fun experience for me, the kids love it, but I think us as adults have just as much fun as the kids! Definitely a fun getaway from regular life for a few hours!

Right next to Knott's berry farm! Lots of parking. This place is busy and packed! We got the VIP experience with 2 cool photos to take home and crowns and necklace. Everything really lives up to the name; Medieval times. The restroom was really smelly, maybe that was the vibe they were going for but yeah...haha. If you go, make sure to bring a jacket! It gets really cold once you sit down. It is pretty cramped. There are no utensils! So I brought my own because I heard other reviews. We got a whole chicken and it was sooo juicy, though I did feel quite rushed when it came to eating because after 10 minutes of recieiving the chicken, they asked if we needed a to-go box. Really fun experience we had for our 11th anniversary. Don't be afraid to be loud and cheer for your team! That's what makes this fun!

    Kim T.

What a great experience! Was there with family after enjoying a day at the park. The box office was so helpful about pulling our reservations so we could sit near one another. The food was delicious, Jeremy, our server, was fantastic, the show was great, and the horses were beautiful. It was truly a memorable night.

If you're seeking a dining experience that offers something beyond the ordinary, this is a standout choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The live show adds an engaging, dynamic element that keeps you entertained throughout the evening while you enjoy your meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cuisine was well-prepared and satisfying, complementing the overall experience. Ask the Community - Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

    Do you offer utensils?

I feel like they have the options but it's all pretty easy to eat by hand.

How do people dress at this, casual, jeans and top?

Very casual. Keep in mind it's kind of cold inside too.

How early before showtime should I arrive if I want to avoid waiting in a long line? Thanks!

We showed up 30 minutes prior and that was ample time. We didn't stay in a line long.

What age for children is appropriate to see the show? Would a 4 year old enjoy?

Hi I would say it depends on the child. Some 4 year olds are used to going to restaurants and are comfortable sitting for a long time. The show is super fun, and if your child likes horses that would be a plus.… Read more

Has the quality of the performance and show experience been negatively impacted by the Hollywood actors/SAG strike? Is it still worth going? The strike could last for months.

I don't think the quality has been negatively impacted however, they were short actors and they we're definitely missing. They compensated pretty good but it was still somewhat scaled down a little. My family still had a good time. The food was ok.… Read more

Is the $25 + each upgrade worth it ? How's the food

No, it is not worth it, and the food is subpar. You eat here for the entertainment not the food.

How is the smell- I went went I was in middle school and it was bad back then.. how is it now?

    No smell at all.

Can I purchase a souvenir cup there or do I have to purchase when I buy tickets online?

Souvenir cups are available on site. You can purchase beverages with different souvenir cup options such as a drinking horn and other Medieval Times labeled glasses.

    Is this place stroller friendly?

I would yes, it's pretty wide open and the facility has ADA seating and wide aisles

    What are the covid protocols?

Have to wear masks the whole time, except for when sitting at your table.

I read that strobe lights are used. How extensively?

It's not a ton but throughout the show a few times. Whether any symptoms could be triggered in someone who would be affected by strobe/flashing lights is probably dependent on their sensitivities.

    Are they open now?

    Yes they are

    How long is the show?

    It's a couple of hours.

    How long is the show?

About 2 hours. Get there at least 30 min early to browse merch and the torture museum.

Can you see the horse in the stable before or after the show?

The horses are behind a window, which you can see after the show

Disculpen alguien sabe cuanto cuesta y si viene comida incluida?

Adulto: $ 63.95, Niños menores de 12 años: $ 36.95. Sí, la comida está incluida.

Do people dress up in medieval clothing?

    Of course

    What is the vegetarian option?

    There isn't one.

How early should we arrive and are the general tickets good or should I upgrade? Planning to go on a saturday

Thirty minutes early should be fine; and for us, when we upgraded, we didn't feel it made any difference, as we'd been before. You can see from everywhere and the meal is the same. The VIP upgrade just wasn't as impressive as we'd hoped, I guess.… Read more

During the planning phase, General Manager Mike's experience was extremely helpful when we shared what we envisioned for the party. He advised us where to set up the sections for food, a photo booth, the satellite bar, gift/message table, and where to place the tables that were in front of the stage for our hired entertainment (singer and DJ). We reserved the beach outdoor patio which can have up to 200 people, stage and dance area and TVs to project photos. From the moment we arrived, besides Mike, Kelly was also onsite and the point of contact for our event and was available during the event. The service was nothing short of exceptional. Servers Raelyn and team were attentive, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure a successful event. My husband and I were able to enjoy the party alongside our family with our family and friends. Our event was held during Memorial Day weekend when a chemical leak occurred in Garden Grove and Mike worked closely with us to address our concerns, kept us informed every step of the way regarding any potential impact to the Buena Park location (which, thankfully, was never affected) and made sure every detail we outlined in the layout of the event was in place. His professionalism and steady reassurance transformed what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and joyful evening. The ambiance was lively, festive, and absolutely ideal for our crowd. And the food? Our guests could not stop raving about it. Everyone agreed it far surpassed typical bar food. The sliders were a massive hit, the pizza was devoured within minutes and generous in portion and incredible in flavor -- had everyone going back for seconds. Multiple guests approached us throughout the night just to compliment the food, which says everything. That night at Rock and Brews in Buena Park will forever be a cherished core memory for our family and friends. Honestly, since it's inside a hotel, my expectations weren't sky-high, but the food pleasantly surprised me. I'd definitely come back, especially to try their brunch. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

My family and I ate at Thirty Acres Kitchen twice during our stay at the Knott's Berry Farm resort,…read moreonce for dinner and again for the breakfast buffet in the morning. This restaurant is a hidden gem (super stunning decor) and one of the best hotel restaurants I've ever eaten at. They have an incredible selection and prices are decent. The breakfast buffet is well worth the price with a wide range of options. Service was great both times we ate here and I would absolutely return again. Thank you to them for also giving my daughter a delicious complimentary dessert to celebrate her birthday!

Unsafe Conditions, Dismissive Management & Unnecessary Security Call…read more I was dining at Thirty Acres Kitchen inside the Knott's Hotel when water started dripping directly from the ceiling onto me. There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. This was my first time coming to this restaurant.

We have visited this CJ's location several times over the last year and have had a good experience…read moreeach time. Although CJ's was a much better restaurant from 1977-2005 when privately run by the Nickoloff family and took another quality hit when the otherwise excellent Landry's chain took over in 2010, the remaining locations, including this one, are still decent sit down, casual, and family dining restaurants. After visiting several times for lunch and dinner on both weekdays and weekends during both peak and non-peak hours, in our opinion, Yelpers who have complained about poor service both from servers and seaters as well as the seats being run down have not had a typical experience here. Although getting seated was a little slow on several of our visits, the people who seated did not have a bad attitude and on a few occasions it was our server. Although several of our servers here were friendly and attentive, Austin on our last visit, really did a good job. This is one of the only remaining CJ's that still has a salad bar and we have gotten it on several visits. We have also had the ribs and chicken pot pie at this location as well as some of their cocktails. Although it is sad that soup is no longer included in the salad bar, the food quality is still good and comparable to other renaming CJ locations such as in San Diego and Vegas (Henderson). This CJ's is located in a strip mall with limited parking and is across the street from Knott's Berry Farm. Parking can be difficult and the spaces are small, but we have always been able to find a spot so far. There are several other good restaurants in the area, but if you are visiting Knott's and want a sit down, casual, and family dining experience, this CJ's is a good choice and better than eating at Knott's--CJ's chicken pot pie is bigger and better than Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. The 3.1 current Yelp average for this CJ's location is too low--it should be a 4 star. It cannot be a 5 star unless the return to the former quality and quantity the restaurant had under the Nickoloff family.

It hits every time and…read moreis a perfect place to drink, yap, and grub! it can get really crowded so definitely try and get here earlier if you can: There's always plenty of things to do though since it's at The Source and there's so many shops and photobooths while you wait. The restaurant is pretty huge but it gets super loud! The screens are always playing kpop groups with music playing and its always fun to watch. For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. Another favorite of the group was the corn cheese. It was like a pizza but corn cheese. My absolute tried and true is the pork belly. It is soo good, especially with the kimchi, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. It definitely is my personal favorite on their menu! I can definitely see why this place is so popular!

They have a ridiculous policy that seems to switch from table to table. We wanted to order a pitcher of beer but since one person in our party wasn't 21 they wouldn't allow. Said policy was "everyone had to be 21". Ok perfect makes sense. BUT THEN!! a table next to us sat down and had about 6 soju bottles and SHOCKER they had kids at their table, but I thought the policy was that everyone had to be 21??? We asked about it and then they said it's because we might distribute it to our friend, yea no. They literally told us "becuase we were all around the same age they couldn't". We were not. And how do they know the parents wouldn't give alcohol to their kids? Are they just deciding when this so called "policy" takes effect? Ruined our entire night, we came just to watch the game and have a beer. Would not return.
