Honest review Feedback Let me start by saying something about me: I am originally from Colombia/venezuela. I did discover this special feeling you experience through exercise at my early age of 9 since my mom was an 80's fitness instructor so I spent most of my spare time w her in the aerobic roomI loved it.. So I can say I am addicted to working out...since then and as an adult I got the privilege to train with the best personal trainers in Caracas. When I moved to USA I was constantly looking for good trainers/ group classes..Then Covid did hit and I felt lost! Then someone crossed my path who recommended me Camp and I felt saved . Since day one I was hooked! The environment is very positive. The staff at front are sweethearts who greet you with a big smile every time. The instructors are elite trainers! All the classes are top notch that will focus on wherever your needs or likes are. A big shoutout to: Brennan , Sam , Andrew, Alyssa, Sammy, Alysha, Lance, Connor, Alex J, Glenn, Josh, Matt, Jeffrey!! Yoga: Kim, Jessica, Luc, Jairod, Megan. Cycling: Monet, Elle, Summer... All of the Camp trainers are outstanding professionals who really care about giving the best possible on each class with a lot of positive and encouraging energy. Thank you Camp! Happy 8th Anniversary

CAMP is the premier fitness station in all of America. You have a staff that is dedicated to making sure you truly feel part of the community. Every single trainer is absolutely phenomenal with their attention to detail to their craft. If you're uncomfortable going to the gym I promise you CAMP is a place for you to feel alive and comfortable.

CAMP Tampa is a MUST if you're in Tampa or passing through. Camp has completely changing my perspective on working out and my body as well. I've been regularly going to classes with them for over a year now, and I've seen such a difference. The instructors are amazing and highly trained. They take the time to teach proper form and tips to be more effective in each movement, so that you can take the knowledge when you're working out by yourself. This is a trendy and luxurious boutique gym. They've really thought of everything. It's split into 3 studios: Yoga, Cycle and Circuit. You have to try all three studios. Each types of class is amazing in their own way. My favorite are the circuit and hot yoga classes. I'm not sure what I'll do if I ever move away from Tampa. Camp has become a second home for me!

Earliest class at 5am and latest at 6pm * good sized parking lot, do come early to get the best spot. * fantastic trainers: Bjan, Eric and Kimberly are among the favorites. * They do offer a deal when you sign up for the first month. * weekly emails from True Fit regarding health and nutritional issues Cons: * Its quite expensive: $130/month for bootcamp classes or $328/month for classes, diet plan and personal training. Overall, great place to workout. Just wish it was more affordable.

I am more immediate and like that I can still get a challenging workout from a class setting. They have more advanced equipment and machines than just dumbbells and kettlebells that most group workout classes have. As a girl, some of the equipment can be intimidating. But once you give it a shot, you realize how capable you are. They recently moved facilities, so if you ever worked out at their old location...try the new one! It's much bigger, nicer, and in a safer location. Because their classes are pretty large, you won't get much direction on form, but the instructors are still pretty attentive if you're doing something completely wrong. This is a great gym for someone who already knows how to workout but does better with an instructor.

I can't get a straight answer as to where he went. Kyle if you're reading this, thank you for being so enthusiastic! You brought the cheer to the day! I walked in today and was not allowed to participate in class. I was 5 minutes tardy. Tampa is now seeing an uptick in traffic and snow birds. Note to self: leave 5 or 10 minutes earlier. The front desk staff wouldn't budge or even crack a smile. At least they didn't charge me a late fee. I mean, after all, I was present. A friendly reminder that everyone is trying the best they can. I arrived and typically, I'm not late. Showing empathy and kindness in a fitness studio goes a long way. We're there to express our best and feel good. Members are there to relax not feel frustrated. Finally during marathon month in August, staff were using equipment ahead of members. Members paid extra to use the treadmill to log their time for the activity. Staff shouldn't be going ahead of paying customers. Let's treat people better, South Tampa.

I was originally going to give this place a 2 star review but the workout itself is very good and…read moreafter all that's why people would come here. I'll go ahead and start from the beginning with my experience but this may quickly turn into a long review. They had 3 trainers there and the main one doing the class didn't look the part (if you're a hairstylist have a good hair, if you're a tattoo artist have tattoos....get my drift?) I'm not judging based on that but she was very loud and I noticed she didn't do a lot of demonstrations but had the other instructor there demo things. She also loves to call people mama - again, not my style but whatever. I advised the girl at the front desk that it was my first time there and showed me quickly around the studio and where the restrooms were she never offered to explain how the class works, what equipment I'll need etc... After I changed, I went back up to her and asked what I'll need and how the class works. She told me if I have a yoga mat to go get cause I'll need it for planks ( it was plank Thursday accordingly to her.) So after I set up my station by the punching bag and laid out my yoga mat from lululemon (I'll touch more on that) the guy instructor showed me all the different kind of punches. Out of all the instructors I would say he was the most pleasurable to work with. During the workout, I noticed the two instructors ( the guy and the front desk girl) sitting and not very engaged at all. At one point they were throwing medicine balls at each other. They did occasionally come up and correct people but the girl especially had a stank face on the entire time even getting upset with the main instructor (Esther) after she asked her to demo something b/c she said most people don't do it that well and she raised her hands in the air like wtf. Towards the end of the class we ran around the gym and was appalled to see people touching my yoga mat with their sneakers! After the class was done, I asked one of the coaches if they have any lysol wipes since both dispensers were empty. She said "no, but we ordered them." OK, how do they clean their bikes after each class or their medicine balls? I was disgusted by this - at least go to wal-mart and pick up some in the interim. They also need to provide yoga mats so you don't feel uncomfortable with people stepping and sweating on yours. My recommendation: go a few block north to True Grit Fit where the instructors truly care not only about your fitness but about you. It's too bad because this place has potential, the studio is large and the concept is great but upgrade your coaches.

You know when something comes into your life at the right moment? Like the stars just align and…read more-BAM- there it is? Well, that's sort of how I see Shevon. This man is top notch - he knows his shit, he has a great vision, and he has an even better personality. Seriously, I'm a whiner about just about everything (okay, some of it is self-deprecation and hilarious) and he deals with it with total grace. He will kick your ass in the best of ways. Things will hurt or be tender the next day or two. He'll even advise you in proper jump-rope technique lest you find yourself a little too crippled the next day - and in my case high heels are off the table for a bit. I think he's amused at this recent life development, but I could be wrong. He will also mess with your head. In addition to laughing my ass off, some things that have either come out of my mouth or run through my head - "Did I just do that? Wait, he wants me to do what? I'm sure as hell I can't do that... FACK! How did I just end up here? Oh dammit... Shit this is going to suck tomorrow." He's well-trained and speaks a few different dance languages; this is how I first found the Sultan. I remember catching a couple of his performances in the area and he had this insane energy that Tampa is missing. If you want to talk about someone being magnetic, this is a prime example. I showed up to his in-home studio a couple weeks ago with no real plan other than he was going to school me in something new. I was minus my iPod and he asked if I had any music. I pulled a lone CD out and he ran with it. "Have you done any partnered dance?"... Nope! On day one I found myself getting spun around and dipped (among other things), all while making really ridiculous noises because I'm a control freak and it... Freaked me out. But hey, new experiences are good for me, right? So, I found myself dabbling in "intro to ballroom" for the first time, revisiting some flamenco, and falling back into the belly dance thing (though I haven't left it since I first started back in '07). If you want to talk about getting into fusion done correctly though... This is it. No one else in the area does what Shev does. So, what else is there to say? This isn't a weekly drop-in class; you don't just show up. If you want a regular day/time slot I'm sure he would work with you; a friend and I have started assigning Sundays to dance/ass-kicking "church" with Father Shevon (yeah, it's a terrible joke, I know). I can't help but love this new ritual in my life because it's so refreshing to work with someone so professional who can also put you at ease. Tampa doesn't know what kind of gem it has because frankly, he's too good for it.

I am taking his Brancee Belly and Boot Camp sessions and the energy in the room is always electrifying.
