I think it'd be a fun tradition to always do a bag of mining (you get from the gift shop) and collect "gems" and "stones" mama likes her crystals so this is a fun way to score some really pretty crystals and learn about all the different kind of rocks! First off, we learned right away that we were learning Youn Wha system, I couldn't tell you what system of martial arts we were learning before, but it was incredibly modified. We had to learn to properly chamber punches and kicks, and even some new techniques that were not taught at our previous school. With help from the instructors, and a little hard work, we got caught up quickly. Since then my family has gone on to compete in tournaments, gain confidence, and meet new people all over the country, that have been very supportive of our family. We showed up at Los Saltos at 10:00 am on a Sunday and were greeted by the welcoming committee... some friendly dogs that live on the ranch. We made our way to what seemed to be an office, knocked on the door and Cristina appeared and welcomed us. As we walked to the covered arena we were able to see two foals that were under a week old, some goats, miniature horses and a mule. The kids loved this. At the arena Cristina was so patient with the girls as she taught them commands to control their horses. They rode around the arena until they were comfortable with the horses and only then did they take us to the pasture for a trail ride. We walked the pasture and came back to the arena and Cristina let the girls ride around the arena basically until they had had enough. Then we walked the horses over to another barn and were able to take them back out to the pasture. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the horses were the best trained horses we have ever experienced. We would recommend Los Saltos to any other families that want to expose their children to horses. They also offer training classes for more advanced riding and a variety of boarding facilities.

SO MUCH FUN!!!. This place has multiple courses. 7 to be exact - you won't get bored. They are…read morethemed too - some even have forts. They are very family focused. They also take safety very very very seriously!! I have been to other paintball field in the area and I can say for sure they are the most family focused out of all of them. You go in, pay, get your Wrist Band & paintballs (you can always get more if you run out). They sell water and soda at a reasonable price.The paint is washable, so no worries. Next you move out to the gun counter where you pick up your mask and gun. From there, you go on down toward staging and a ref explains the rules. Each group has around 20 to 30 people with average 10 to 15 people to each team. One team starts off on one end of the course, the other team on the opposite side...then advance. Last team standing wins. You typically play 2 games before you take a break if you don't shoot all your paint in the first game. You than leave the courses to refuel, etc. before going back in to play some more. I have been out several times in the last year and each time they have been making improvements. Just in the last month they have added 1 new fields and re-designed another one to keep things fresh.

I don't know if it's because of the location or people don't know the field exists but, depending on the day, you could have a bunch of people playing or it could be just you and 1 other person. I arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, joined a group and we played 5v5. Within 15mins, that went down to only 6 players. After 30mins or so, it was just me at the field. I ended up leaving about an hour after I arrive (I usually play for at least 3 hours to put things into perspective) because there was no one around to play. Like I said, it's a great field but player attendance is make or break.
