Enjoyed looking at all the wild flowers along the path. The staff is friendly, and the horses seem to be well taken care of. They seem to know a lot about the horses, and checked on the riders multiple times during the ride to make sure they were doing okay. Prices are very reasonable, based on what you can typically expect to pay for horseback riding. It's $30 a person 6 years old and up, and $10 more if you want to ride double with a little one. There is a little trailer on site that sells snow cones, nachos, BBQ, and a few other snacks, and everything there is a priced well. Great way to end the visit here!

We showed up at Los Saltos at 10:00 am on a Sunday and were greeted by the welcoming committee... some friendly dogs that live on the ranch. We made our way to what seemed to be an office, knocked on the door and Cristina appeared and welcomed us. As we walked to the covered arena we were able to see two foals that were under a week old, some goats, miniature horses and a mule. The kids loved this. At the arena Cristina was so patient with the girls as she taught them commands to control their horses. They rode around the arena until they were comfortable with the horses and only then did they take us to the pasture for a trail ride. We walked the pasture and came back to the arena and Cristina let the girls ride around the arena basically until they had had enough. Then we walked the horses over to another barn and were able to take them back out to the pasture. We found the prices to be very reasonable and the horses were the best trained horses we have ever experienced. We would recommend Los Saltos to any other families that want to expose their children to horses. They also offer training classes for more advanced riding and a variety of boarding facilities.

When we got there the place looked great, and we were all ready to get on a horse and have a good time. Unfortunately we all did not have a good time. Donna the guide was one of the rudest people we all had ever met. She was not only rude to us, but was incredibly mean to the children who were helping us get on our horses. She would yell at them that they were doing something wrong, and just not nice. She would get super snippy at us if a horse came up to us, and we started to pet its snout, and was just super impatient and grumpy the whole experience. I eventually called her out on her rudeness, and she just laughed at me, and then proceeded to tell my fiancé "Good luck with him" even though I was incredibly respectful to her, and asked "if she was doing okay" when I did confront her. She just seemed like she was having a really bad day. The other people that worked there were incredibly helpful, and kind, including Cheri who I talked to over the phone to help us book this. Unfortunately Donna ruined that experience. We did not let her ruin our whole experience though. The ride was beautiful and the horses were really fun to ride on! However we will 100% never go back. I never leave reviews, but I had to leave a review for this because it was incredibly unprofessional especially how much we paid for everything. I pray that Donna has better days than the one she had with us, and that she will be changed for the better. UPDATE: I called Cheri and told her about all of this, and she was extremely apologetic and humble when I told her. She told me that Donna is the only guide, and is also taking care of four grandchildren at the moment, so I'm sure she is overwhelmed and overstimulated. We stayed at Cedars on the Brazos Bed and breakfast - our favorite and it was great to have them right there on the property. We also saw several deer. We highly recommend Manna Ranch!
