Unfortunately, from looking over the reviews here most of them are for the grammar and not the…read morestore and I am just like those people. The store is overpriced. Please know that if you want a guinea pig or a cat, you can get one on craigslist for free almost every day of the year. But I'm here because my boss has been paying me to bring her dog to Petco for grooming and when I arrive I have to sit around and wait. Today she explained it was for the person that's scheduled to groom the dog that I brought, but I don't understand why Petco allows customers to be inconvenienced by this . I know that I'm being paid by someone else and I should be thankful that I get to sit and rest instead of get work done, but that's not how it feels so the groomer lost her tip today because she caused my boss more money and she wasted my time I did complain that there was nowhere to sit and they told me I could sit in the little Dog Training area Like one of the other customers, I have physical pains and I don't wanna start using a walker with a chair just so I can sit whenever I have to wait Especially when there's no reason to be waiting They do a good job on the dog But so has every other Groomer that I've taken her to I just want the service to be more convenient From yelp reviews nobody's reading

I normally don't leave reviews, but I honestly feel like people should know about my experience…read more I took my puppy here because he has been scratching so much that he's leaving red marks and irritating his skin. I spent about $250 expecting answers and treatment that would actually help. Instead, all they really did was examine his body, recommend extra tests, and send us home with an ointment that only lasted about 5 days and didn't work at all. His skin has actually gotten worse since then. I also felt like I was being pushed into extra tests that weren't necessary at that time, which only made the bill even higher. On top of that, they made comments about not trusting other vets because they "don't have the proper equipment." I thought that was really unprofessional. Instead of focusing on helping my puppy, they were putting down other veterinary clinics. I was also told it's "totally normal" for puppies to scratch and nibble. While I understand some scratching is normal, it's not normal when they're leaving red spots, making themselves bleed, and getting worse. That's exactly why I came in for help. I left feeling disappointed, out $250, and with a puppy that's still uncomfortable. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before spending that kind of money. Ever since I've been thinking about this , till this day .

They assured me they could work with her. After I dropped her off, they even called and asked for permission to put a muzzle on her so they could continue. I also offered to stay and help comfort my dog during the grooming, but they told me it wasn't necessary. About two hours later, I received a call to come pick her up. When I saw her, I was shocked. She looked terrible. They didn't even groom her face, and she had multiple cuts on her ears and face. To make matters worse, she was still wet when they handed her back to me. They told me my dog was aggressive, but at no point did anyone call to let me know they were unable to safely complete the grooming. Instead, they waited until I arrived and then tried to charge me extra because they said it took two people to work on her. I have a 1-year-old Maltipoo who is incredibly sweet and loving. I understand she gets anxious during grooming, which is exactly why I was upfront about her behavior from the beginning. I expected patience, communication, and professionalism--not for my dog to come home injured and with an incomplete groom. I will not be returning. Not only that, but the groomer who worked on my dog was extremely rude and unprofessional, and the owner of the shop allowed the disrespectful behavior. She repeatedly kept telling me my dog was "bad," constantly talked over me, and spoke to me in an aggressive tone when I was simply trying to explain that the additional charge should have been communicated beforehand. They had no problem calling me to ask permission to use a muzzle and informing me there would be an extra charge for that, so they should have shown the same courtesy when they decided to charge me more because two people had to work on my dog. Instead, they waited until I arrived to tell me, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. And then they had the nerve to try to charge me $125 for a groom that wasn't even completed. My dog's face wasn't done, she came back with cuts on her ears and face, and she was still wet when they handed her to me. Based on the way the groomer spoke to me--being rude, aggressive, and repeatedly calling my dog "bad"--I left with very little confidence that my dog was treated with the patience and care she deserved. My dog is a sweet, loving 1-year-old Maltipoo who gets anxious during grooming, and I was transparent about that from the very beginning. I expected compassion and professionalism, not poor communication, disrespect, and an incomplete groom. i wouldnt even give a star but i have to!

On the flipside, I wish that they would train the people that work at the register better Yesterday I came in for an exchange and the young man just said oh it's an even exchange just take it. I've had years in retail, so I know this is not really how they want merchandise treated. They were different sizes different colors. It screws up the inventory. And today I am asked to return two items and I find the receipt and she is struggling because he didn't do the exchange properly so the halter that I brought back wasn't on the receipt and then also she couldn't find one of the items on the receipt so she was starting to tell me how I couldn't return it and I had to actually point out the item on the receipt to her so that I could get a refund for my boss At this point, you might as well have self check out and self exchange lol There was one woman who knew everything, but she probably burnt out and quit because she was kind of intense to deal with I never know who's the manager there, but I thought that woman was They have some really great clearance prices and I enjoy shopping here more than Petco Prices for Dog and cat things are better For my boss, we've probably spent thousands here

My wife and I did what any responsible pet parents would do: administered a full‑scale COVID‑era haircut and booked a 9 AM nail‑trim appointment to finish the job. Once the shop opened, we learned the entire operation was being run by one heroic human that morning. One. A whole grooming shop held together by sheer willpower and caffeine. After we explained Sawyer's situation, this absolute saint of a groomer didn't just agree to trim his nails -- she offered to clean him up for a small fee, with the kind of patience and warmth that could calm a tornado. Minutes later, out strutted a brand‑new dog. Freshly trimmed, nails immaculate, tail wagging like he'd just won a beauty pageant. I tipped more than I planned, but honestly, it still wasn't enough. She earned every penny with her kindness, her skill, and that unwavering smile that said, "Yes, I am single‑handedly keeping this place running, and no, you will not see me break." I wish I remembered her name, but I'll never forget the impression she made. She opened the shop on June 6th and represented that establishment with pride, grit, and genuine heart -- a true gem in the grooming world. PHOTO: Sawyer and Reed

They do a good job and the price is average for a big dog groom.
