Most of her dogs go to a different groomers, but they can't do the larger dog (because the ladies are older.) so this location doesn't have a problem with the size of the dog. I typically drop her off in the morning and within 4 to 5 hours they call me and tell me she is ready sometimes shorter than that even She's always looked really great They used to be in the shopping center off of Wood Street but now they're down just a tiny little bit walking distance behind the Ace Hardware I completely recommend this shop for Grooming, they have patience. First things first my golden is a rescue and is 5 yrs old, more than likely never professionally groomed. I tried a mobile groomer and had a bad experience- and was told that he would need to be sedated to groom... so I shopped around and was referred to Candace's shop. I called and spoke to Candace and let her know the above information and she explained everything that would happen during his grooming and how they would be patient with him and give breaks when needed. She educated me on how goldens should be cut and not shaved which I appreciated! She also was patient with me and answered all my first timer questions! Today was his appointment and his groomer was Lindsey, she was very professional and let me know that she knew he was a first timer and that Candace has mentioned the above information - communication at this shop is amazing and I appreciated it! Lindsey went over everything that would happened during his appointment and promised to take good care of him! They were able to do finish my pup with no sedation of any sorts and Scout was as happy as a bird with a French fry when he was done. Updating my review... I took Zen again this week, but the grooming was subpar, and there was an increase in the price too. I'm not sure if the groomer was having a bad day or something else.. But the trim looked choppy, he was not completely dry when we picked him up, he is still shedding like crazy and scratching everywhere and to top that she charged me $25 more than the last time for the same service. The grooming was definitely not worth $120. I am very disappointed as I really thought I found a groomer for my difficult boy!!! read more

They do an amazing job on my Pomeranian and also my French bulldog. They love coming here and the ladies call me 30 min before they're done. Their hair gets softer and at other groomers they usually get dry skin or dandruff and at Candace's their fur improved and no more dandruff :) Ive never had a problem and they're always available a day or 2 after I call. read more

We have been taking our GOLDEN DOODLE to Candices pet center for over a year now. Heather is her groomer and she does a great job every time! Sometimes I have a very specific cut I request and other times I tell her I don't care how she does it just as long as she is cute. PERFECTION EVERY TIME!!! Took my dog to get a much needed grooming. He was a bit matted and we had let his hair get too out of control. I was worried he would look hideous after his cut. I was very pleased with how Candace's groomed my small terrier mix. I've been having a hard time finding a groomer close by in Woodcrest who wasn't booked up weeks in advance. My Leia was able to get an appt. quickly and was done in a few hours. The groomer trimmed her fur just the way I requested and my baby smelled so nice but not overly perfumed. The price was more than I was used to paying but for the convenience and wonderful job that was done, it was worth it. I was told in advance what to expect price wise.
