Met with owners upon check in and had a great conversation with them about the area, activities, etc and they personally escorted us to our cabin. Cabins are located right next to the bath house and fishing pond. Bath house was exceptionally clean and well cared for! 2 showers provided excellent water pressure as well has 3 bathroom stalls which were all immaculate. It was opening weekend so there weren't too many campers around us so that was a plus. The fire ring and picinic table were great! The cabin itself was very primitive but clean and had brand new mattresses. I recommend a camp roll for comfort. The AC worked perfectly as well! I would recommend bringing a small table for meal prep, etc. The downside is that it does not include a mini fridge so I had to cooler and ice our food for 3 days which was a minor inconvenience. Location is great and right in the middle of all the fishing and outdoor activities that we love in Linesville and Pymatuning! Their fishing pond is great too! I would HIGHLY recommend this campground to anyone! The owners are great and really care about their property and the people there! They definately made us feel welcome! We will definately return!

They are $40/night. 2 tenting sites available for $18/night. The bathrooms are very clean. There is a pond to go paddle boating or canoeing. A pavilion is available for gatherings. They used to have fishing contests for kids and hayrides...they don't do that anymore. It is basically an entertain yourself campground. The spillway is close. Jamestown beach is close as well. It is quiet there and friendly people are always around. They have Christmas in July for the campers and pot luck most Saturdays. Tip: tent site 1 is a good site. It has trees and cabin 2 is the better cabin just because the ground outside of the cabin is a little flatter than the other cabin. The rooms have 1 queen and 1 set of bunk beds.

Check in was very fast and simplistic and the staff were very friendly. We pulled up to our spot and put up our tent and sat and had a drink or two or three and it was so peaceful (other than the obnoxious people across from us) I guess that's the risk you take when camping at a campground. We did take a walk and found some private sites that we reserved so we will have a little more privacy. Can't wait to pop our tent there!!! The lake is beautiful and goes on forever. We took our kayaks out and spent several hours. We came across some American Eagles and a deer on our adventure on the water. We enjoyed our time at Pymatuning that we are even staying longer the next time. The food over the fire is the bomb diggity!

Oftentimes, the tent campers are totally neglected and forgotten about at places that cater to RVs. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. We found a nice, tree-covered spot with plenty of space. (However, please note that a lot of campsites here don't necessarily offer tree coverage.) Since I had two kiddos with me, we wanted to be relatively close to a bathroom. That wasn't a problem either. The bathrooms were decent. The pool was quite nice - nicer than most pools you'll find at campgrounds. The playground was a hot attraction for my niece and nephew. Plus, they even had a 9-hole mini golf course. (It's nothing extravagant or exceptional, but great for the kids.) We walked around the entire park, and this place definitely seems to be home to a lot of seasonal RVs. Most of them look like permanent summer homes. With that being said, though, the tent-campers will still feel welcomed here.

Here are just a few pluses: - No parking fees! - The cheapest AV gas in the region! - Everyone is so nice and there is an awesome Italian restaurant on-site. As Stacey mentions, the Regional airports have charm that you won't find in the huge International airports. The runways are a nice length. 3 and 21 are over 5,000 ft and 12 and 30 are a little smaller at 3,500 ft but still plenty enough length to land smaller one-engine airplanes. It has a full ILS (instrument landing system) and MALSR approach lights which help you fly in here at night. It's a great place to fly in and a decent place to eat right at the airport with the Prima Barone restaurant being a decently classy and awesome place. Bonus live music on Friday night's (which I haven't experienced yet). I see myself making many more trips up here. It's a really fun airport to fly into!

Located in Franklin, the Regional Airport mostly serves for private plane owners, but United offers service from Cleveland to Franklin. It is a very tiny airport and I am completely in love with it. This regional airport has all the small town charm that you will never find in an international airport. There is one terminal, one baggage claim, and no waiting. One of the airport employees waited with me until my ride arrived because he was concerned. When was the last time an airport employee showed any concern when a ride didn't arrive on time? Here, it is just how it's done! On my return trip I checked in with a smiling United worker. Sure, there was a kiosk I could have used, but she helped me out. My family was able to sit with me for an hour before TSA did their screening. I had to walk through their only metal detector while talking with the nicest TSA agents ever. They even offered us passengers umbrellas to use as we walked to the plane in the pouring rain! The service was great. The airport is quaint. They have some history of the region on the walls and a restaurant attached. It's not a state of the art facility, but it's not worn down either. In truth it is rather lovely!
