After purchasing a new to me, 2007 Corvette Z06 I went on a mini adventure to Bowling Green, KY to visit the National Corvette Museum and Assembly plant. But before I started my journey back to Colorado I decided that it might be a good idea to get all the important fluids changed. Get a fresh start. So I pulled into Campbell Chevrolet unannounced, rolled the dice that they could help me. I was approached by Rick, I explained what I wanted done and Rick was very helpful in trying to figure out how he could squeeze me in, with no appointment. He could've easily said sorry we're booked up, and I would have understood. I had the following done. Oil change, manual transmission fluid change, rear differential fluid change, cooling system flushed, and direct injection system cleaned. Rick told me that it could take 3-4 hours, I said that works for me. Now I meet Debbie, she tells me about restaurants nearby, she eventually drives to a rib place that was delicious!! That helped kill a couple hours. So I walk back to dealership about 3/4 mile away just to pass the time. A few minutes after getting to dealership the car was ready!!! Went here because they had the exact type of car I was looking for. After a test drive it needed some work, which I could feel, but I made an offer based on the car's value in working condition. They agreed to that price before repairs, ran my credit, and then strung me along for weeks while waiting for repairs. Once it was complete, I was then informed the price increased and they wouldn't give me the previously agreed price - even though the vehicle did not receive any upgrades and was simply back in working condition, which is what my offer was based on. I recently brought in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado due to a constant knocking sound. The service department called to notify me that they believed the knocking was due to a possible camshaft issue and stated that it would be $879 to potentially diagnose the problem. This was due to the extensive labor necessary to reach the camshaft. I agreed and was told I would receive a call the following Monday. When I hadn't received a call, I reached out myself for an update. Mark from the service department then told me there was damage to a camshaft and two lifters, and that the price would be $4,050. My truck is worth, at most, $8,000, and I'm not currently experiencing any symptoms other than the constant sound. (I have since learned this is due to a design flaw in this model. Many vehicles of this model have this issue, and some can go upwards of 60,000 miles before any real damage occurs.) I received a quote from a mechanic in my hometown who said he could fix the problem for $600. So I told Mark I did not want to proceed with the camshaft replacement and just wanted to get my truck back. Mark then informed me that the vehicle could not be driven off the lot without new head gaskets and other parts that must be replaced when reassembling the engine. He quoted me $1,300 on top of the initial $879 to put my truck back together so it could be driven. This was not explained to me when I initially agreed to have the engine inspected, and if I had known it would cost $2,100 in total, I would not have agreed. When I explained this to Mark, he simply stated, "We don't have to put it back together; you can get it towed." In other words, I would be relying on them to place the parts in my truck, then pay for a tow, and then pay someone else to reassemble the engine. This was Mark's subtle way of letting me know I was trapped. To summarize my experience: I paid $2,100 to have a knock in my engine diagnosed and to have my tires rotated and spin-balanced. Of this, $1,079 was expected ($879 for diagnosis + $90 for the tire rotation and balance), and $1,021 was charged simply to get my truck back to the condition it was in when I brought it--not fixed, just running the same as before. My experience with Campbell Chevrolet was nothing short of a scam that I was trapped in the moment I agreed to the diagnosis. If your car is under warranty with them, I assume you have no choice but to use them. But I strongly urge you not to use this service department if you are not covered by their warranty. I do not write this review expecting them to right this wrong, because based on how my case was handled, honesty does not appear to be in their vocabulary. Instead, I write this to warn others of the risks of using this business for vehicle service. I do not want to see anyone else exploited the way I was, and I assure you: if you give Campbell Chevrolet the chance, they will do exactly that. read more

We were traveling through Kentucky and our truck broke down called Campbell's Chevrolet and Chris recommended Walker Towing. Called Walker they were there within an hour! Got to the dealership and Chris got us in replaced the water pump and serpentine belt and we were on our way! When I called Campbell Chevrolet They were very nice on the phone and very helpful! John took care of us- prompt service and I was very blessed. Called about a van listed on AutoTrader.com and set up an appointment only to find out (after I arrived and was shown the van) that it had sold the night before my appointment! They even called me to confirm the appointment before I drove an hour to get to their dealership! They didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that it had been sold. When your daughter goes to college 3 hours away and is having car trouble it is a parents worst nightmare. Got that dreaded phone call last week- car would not start after filling up at a gas station at the edge of dark. Thankfully she was able to get it restarted and dropped off at the lot for an appointment the next day. We are so very thankful for the folks at Campbell Chevrolet. They got my daughter's car in, diagnosed the problem and got her back on the road in 1 day. They also mailed an invoice to her home address so that we could see in writing what had been done. I shouldn't have to ask for my multi-inspection report every time I come for my oil change. I also expect your techs to follow the guidlelines that GM puts on the inside of my door when doing something like filling my tires. If GM says I need 36 psi then fill all four tires to that amount, nothing more or less. When my car is ready I'm rushed to the cashier to pay but I get no information about the status of my vehicle. If I get information like 'you may need new tires soon' or 'your battery is low' I can act on that and feel valued. I don't really want to come back when the only nice thing about my visit was the free breakfast. read more

The two I have dealt with on the front line, Alan and Dino, have been over the top helpful. Kevin took it on himself to be my advocate in a few issues that he didn't have to do. I cannot thank them enough. These three have taken care of nearly every situation with professionalism and unending support. This was a very bad experience. I was charged twice as much as the original quote. This company lied about what they had fixed. I took my vehicle to another company to confirm what they had fixed. I was charged $800 to replaced a radiator hose. Damn!!!! Never again. They even left my under skirt off my car and put it in my trunk. I had to hire another company to put it on an I was charged $100 to reinstall it. I called the owner of this company about my situation and he said he would get back with me. We are just a number....... Talking w/ Troy Campbell the owner, he said he would look into it and call me back. Needless to say he never did. I'm just waiting for your response to say this is not how your company functions and to contact you so we can get this resolved. Typical for shit companies! Thank you, THANK YOU Campbell Chevrolet!!! Derby day, 2015, my daughter accidentally put diesel fuel into our car instead of unleaded. To make a long story short, we first went to USA Tire and Auto because everything else was closed. After six hours of their draining our car, changing the fuel pump, their telling us we now needed an alternator, AND the car's STILL NOT BEING IN RUNNING ORDER! My husband drove down from Louisville to pick us up. USA said they would order a new alternator and begin fixing our car on Monday. Thankfully, I found out that the car was still under warranty and that I should NOT allow them to fix the car at all. I had it towed to Campbell Chevrolet, where....after they diagnosed the vehicle...they found that USA had NOT drained the car completely, had put the fuel pump on incorrectly, AND they had flooded the car, making the alternator go out. It was a nightmare, as my daughter and I were alone on the interstate returning from Tennessee, where my parents were in a nursing home facility. I thank God for Campbell Chevrolet. They were professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. Everything was covered under State Farm...accidental contamination instead of our vehicle's warrenty! Terrible service from out of town had a cylinder misfire never check spark plugs. First thing you do is check spark plugs for cylinder misfire. I was advised I had three loose plugs. They tightened loose plugs. Paid for service I drove 10 miles check engine light same issue. Return to dealer now they show a bad wire for one of the 3 cylinders that were tightened by technician the day before. I said well if you think the wire is bad and they weren't changed as part of my tuneup just a few weeks earlier but he said that wouldn't fix my problem even though he said I needed a new wire on cylinder 7. Changed my wires rest code this time it drove 100 miles and light comes on again for same problem. So now I have to take it to another dealer 383 for the first bill and 348 for the 2nd bill and still didn't fix my problem just taking advantage if someone from out of town traveler. read more

Brought truck in for an oil change, tire rotation, and a couple of service bulletins. All jobs were completed but noticed tires were NOT rotated even though the ticket says it was completed. I know this because I plugged one of my rear tires and that tire was in the same location on the truck after supposed rotation. Makes me wonder what else they "completed." They have a horrible reputation anyways and crap like this doesn't help. They're obviously crooks that prey on the unknowing or unable. I wouldn't take a weed trimmer to get repaired here!!! read more

Chuck called to tell me what was wrong with my car and I told him I had an extended warranty, he was suppose to check into the warranty but he called me back within 5 minutes. He stated I had a limited warranty and it didn't cover the water pump or thermostat and it would be over 1020.00 to fix it. I requested the information to call he warranty company myself and I was told they would have to call me back. About 30-45 min later I received a call that the water pump would be covered but we would have to pay for the thermostat. The total was 180 for the thermostat and 100 for the deductible. We approved the work and it was suppose to be ready that afternoon or early the next day. The next day I received a call that my car was ready but they started talking about a fuel pump so I'm not sure if they called the wrong person or possibly replaced the wrong part. The 3rd day my car was still not ready and we weren't getting any answers. My husband called twice and got left on hold for 15 mins twice, he finally went up there to get some answers and that is when he found out the timing chain was now messed up. They couldn't give us any idea in when the car would be ready. It took three days for us to even get a loaner car and that's only because we kept on them about when it would be ready and why it was taking so long. When they called to let me know the car was ready 8 days later they told me there would be no charges, the timing chain was covered on the power train warranty, but when we got there we were told the charges were $288. We got no where talking to anyone while we were there. Needles to say this isn't the first time Campbell Chevy has tried to screw is around. We will tell anyone we know to never use this dealer and we won't be purchasing any new Chevys. read more

Nice people, Nice Vehicles. They are a business that sells vehicles daily and knows exactly how to get the max amount for a sale. Get home and find out you owe even more. If they do not know how to do the proper paperwork for a job that is what they do daily then they should be the ones responsible for the cost of the improper paperwork not the customer who was shown what the total was only to get home and find out they owe even more. I tried to get my car serviced 3 times over a week and half time frame. My check engine light was on so I stopped by to have the dealership run diagnostics. I was told I needed to have an appointment. With that, I took my car to the Honda dealership and was in and out in 30 minutes. Once I knew what the issue was and since my car is a Chevrolet I tried two more times to have my car fixed at this dealership. My car is still not fixed and I will never return to have my car serviced or to buy another vehicle.The customer service at the dealership is by far the worst I've experienced at any company I've done business with. read more

I had to have work done on my 2006 Cobalt in June and although going to the dealership for work usually terrifies me, this experience was a positive one. They had my car diagnosed and repaired within a day, asking to keep it overnight for the chance to cold start it to ensure the problem was fixed. I was very pleased with friendliness of everyone I encountered and enjoyed the shuttle service so I did not have to wait around for them to diagnose the issue before starting repairs. Although the repairs were quite costly, they charged me less than a shop out of town to repair an issue that was not fixed on the first go around. Overall, a good experience for me! read more
