Firstly, the person I dealt with at the desk (the new owner) was super nice, and we were able to check in to a beautiful, newly renovated room. The decor was Scandinavian minimalist, with recycled wood, and a large comfy couch for serious lounging. The room was ADA ready and sparkling clean. The bed was comfy with excellent linens. There are planned renovations to the bar/restaurant area inside the main building that I assume are now on hold due to current Covid restrictions. Secondly, the hot springs itself is a large, in-ground concrete pool that's open air. Total plus. While this portion of the resort is still to be renovated, the water is clean and hot. The pool is drained every night and refilled the following morning. The source water comes out at 140 degrees and is regulated to be around 98 to 100 degrees. It was a joy to float in the water, as bats flew overhead and the stars glowed in the evening sky. Don't know if I'll ever make it back there again, but I wish the new owners well and hope other Yelpers will seek them out for a stay and a soak. Lakeview is a fairly rural town but quaint and welcoming.

Passing through Lakeview, thought it would be fun to play a local course, $41 (9 holes w cart), we basically found ourselves in a buggy pasture. Grass in "fairway" was so long we lost three balls, grass on "tee box" was several inches long, weeds and grass growing in "bunkers". As if the "course" conditions were not bad enough the continuous attacks by the biting flies and large mosquitoes were the icing on the cake. Basically a poorly run, poorly maintained rural little track. Don't waste your time or money.
