We stopped by Lakeview, Oregon store. As I entered I was not acknowledged. My turn came up. I wanted a #11 no tomatoes wrap. My wife wanted a # 10 no halopenios in a salad. He then literally threw the salad together and didn't cut up the meat. Put a small dab of dressing on the salad. He literally threw my wrap together and I got a little bit of dressing. Had to ask for plastic knife and fork and ask for napkins. Overall he had a bad attitude. Paid for the order and back on the road. First thing I saw when I walked up was the outside trash overflowing onto the sidewalk. One bathroom was out of order, the other was so dirty I didn't use it. The only person in the place eating was the employee, who went behind the counter to take our order without washing his hands. The milk in the cooler was outdated by a month as was the apple juice. We always stop on our way through town but never again. Called the health dept. to file a complaint, left a message we'll see if they follow up. read more

The first words we heard on entering this subway was, "We have no bread," and they had to be repeated five times due to the thick middle eastern accent of the guys across the counter. They had flat bread and wraps because the bread baker machine didn't work-- no word on when bread would be available. Not another soul in this "only fast food in town" at lunchtime. It spoke volumes. Still, we ordered hungrily--even though the lettuce, cucumbers, and all the rest of the toppings looked pretty gnarly. Each one was grudgingly added to the wrap as though they all personally belonged to the incomprehensible counter guy. Communication was an issue. No, we didn't want a drink and chips--after four tries at that question. The last insult was the price of $11.95 for each (less than footlong) wraps. We'd previously gone over the menu board for prices, to no avail. Finally, another gripe: like so many other businesses--including fast food--there's a place on the receipt for a tip. For what?) And...they ended up tasting...meh (not like $12 sandwiches, which I'd never paid before at any subway) An addendum: they made us sick. Rant complete. read more

Ordered ahead 30 min, went to pick up my two sandwiches and only one was ready, so I left to run an errand and came back 15 min later. When I got home, both sandwiches had the wrong bread which were over-toasted, my wife's sandwich was drowning in sauce even tho I specified light on sauce. And mine had no cheese. Very disappointed. The veggies in the tray were sad - not fresh looking! Our sandwiches had hit the second person to put the vegetables on and the guy walked away to start restocking the salt and mayo. My sweet onion chicken teriyaki was still frozen and when we brought it back, the gal behind the counter asked us what I wanted her to do about it. Avoid. Do not stop here. Sandwiches were delicious as expected. Service was excellent! Staff were polite, easy to communicate with and straight forward. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Best part - I absent-mindedly left my phone in the restroom. The staff were honest and respectful and even mailed it back to me (because we were just passing through)! Staying one night in Lakeview and just needed a light meal so chose Subway based on the good Yelp reviews and that Subway is pretty predictable. Staff didn't seem to care much. We took our sandwiches to go and my husband's was supposed to be a hot sandwich but was ice cold and not good enough to eat. Mine was ok but on the wrong bread. It doesn't take much to make a good sandwich but obviously some people don't have enough pride to bother. At least the cookies were good. read more

There isn't a Subway that I've seen where the owners are there helping customers daily. This was one of the most clean, organized, and disciplined Subways I have ever been to! I even got a free cookie because I was at the end of the long lunch line! Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Lakeview. read more

There's not too much difference among Subways - but some skimp and some don't. They didn't skimp here. But a special thanks to the franchise owner. My wife left her purse - which we discovered 21/2 hours down the road. We called and Marie went right down to the post office and mailed it to us it arrived 2 mail days later. read more

It's a Subway and normally I'm not into Subway but this is really the only fast food around so we stopped off here twice on the 2 days we were in the area. For a Subway we were pretty pleased at the service we received and the food as well. The workers were very friendly and helpful and if we are ever back in the area, odds are, we will probably stop by again. read more
