The owner and his staff go out of the way to buy the most unusual items. If I need a birthday gift for someone, I come here. I purchased a hand blown glass bird feeder for a friend. The price was not outrageous, as I am cheap, and my girlfriend LOVED it. If you need birdseed, at 69 cents a pound, buying it loose, you can't beat this place either. Of course they have the usual items, but you can even haggle a little sometimes and get a REAL bargain. Last year I got a beautiful bush for 1/3 off, just by asking if they had ANY specials at the end of the year. The woman in the gardening department actually said, I could let this one go a little cheaper as long as I know it is going to a good home. She feels about her plants the way I do! And lastly, in the country, you have to deal with mice. It is a necessary evil of the joy of the mountains. I was directed to a device that kills the mice by one of the ladies inside. They're mice, so killing them is fine with me as long as I don't see their feces on my counter top and in my food anymore. She even knew what she was talking about with that. In one week, my mouse problem has been solved. I was able to catch one mouse a day, and now I live rodent free. Thanks AGWAY for knowing your stuff!!!!

We sat by the fire and had the most lovely cocktails all made up by their mixologist. We tried the minty Negroni, forest flame, alpine smoke, espresso martini and a few others . Dinner time ! It was a tasty dish but on the small side as were the other three. The place was pretty empty as you can see by the picture where the kitchen and bar is. There were two other small tables occupied. So 85 minutes later the meals came out. I'm not sure of the delay. I mean there are two cooks and one I believe is the owner. So being here for 90 minutes the tables started filling up quickly. The wait person did not come by once to give an update or to apologize for how long 4 dishes are taking to create. Nor did she say anything when the food was brought out. At the end, a walnut aperitif was brought out with mini pony glasses which was a nice gesture and it was good to digest with. If you order water be wary the "still water" is actually a bottled water for $9.00 a bottle, I would guess quart size. The place had a nice ambience and very clean. We were all saying we should go next door now and order a pizza!

John tried to offer me credit for store sale item/floor model pieces that HE would select for me. John began making payments to reimburse me for the first payment I could not recoup from the credit card company (I had 2nd payment charged back, and amazingly, John requested I pay him those funds though he had no intention of executing the order!). I was only paid $2.5K of the $7K Karkula defrauded me of. John said he'd refund the rest if I took down the initial poor review.
