We booked this camp over the winter holidays break. Our 9yr old son had a fantastic experience…read more When he showed more competence, he was aptly moved up a level to keep him challenged. I didn't even request it! The evaluation at the end of the camp is the best I've ever seen across 3 yrs of soccer camps and clinics! More organizations should do it.

Updating my review to 3 stars. Overall, I don't feel that this program met our needs as far as…read moreproper skills, instruction, just feeling like you are learning the sport in a fun way as their advertising states. Day 1 = I observed kids calling other kids losers and saying things like you suck - prime opportunities for coaches/staff to redirect and teach the importance of sportsmanlike conduct and being team mates first. I was extremely upset that I witnessed my child and several other children being called a loser. It was a bunch of kids who don't know how to play soccer all trying to figure it out on their own with no instruction. I called and eventually spoke to the office manager, Melissa - she deserves 5 stars, really awesome. She was great - but my expectations as a parent leaving my child are that I still get a call back from the head coach/program director. That did not happen. Day 2 = a little better, my husband got there early and while he did not hear the loser/you suck - he did not see a lot of instruction happening with my son's level (age 9). Day 3 = I observed last 25 minutes of the day and one more time, zero coaching. There were easily 6 or 7 teachable moments for just general soccer 101 and I did not see those happen. I don't even know soccer very well but I know the kids can't hop, jump bounce, single arm throw in the ball. My expectations were high and I don't think they placed an appropriate coach with this age group, she was lovely, but this age level needs someone with a strong personality who can get control, I did not see that. We pulled him from camp and won't be returning. We could have just had an off week.
