Hubby chose this Michelin recommendations for mothers day lunch. We had overall a pleasant experience. The menu is precise and presentation of food is pretty good. On the menu you have 3 starters : we ordered Guac and chips( 15$) came with 2 homemade authentic chips( not store bought) guac and a matcha salsa( delicious), we asked for chips refills and they did it on the house. The chips are outstanding! Mains: they serve tacos! Period! And they have done a decent job for vegans they have and vegetarians - 2 , and a decent variety of non vegetarian tacos. My hubby was pretty satisfied with his ( chicken and fish) . The fillings are generously huge. So honestly 1 is enough for me. For meatless option they can be more creative .

Campechano taco, braised lamb taco (the furtherst one). Passionfruit mezcal margarita on the right and white sangria on the left.

This little Michelin taco spot totally lives up to the hype! It's small, cute, and I loved the atmosphere. Tacos run about $11-$12 each, a bit on the pricier side, but they're filling and full of flavor (two or three would be enough to fill you up). The mezcal passion fruit cocktail was delicious! Definitely worth it to try, I wish they had some happy hour deals as well :)

I tried Campechano for the first time this past holiday season for a cousin gathering. The restaurant is on the smaller and cozy size but fit our group of about 15 all in the back area nicely. It was a nice casual restaurant where our large group felt comfortable to chat freely and mingle. I heard that this restaurant is michelin recommended so I was excited to try it for the first time. The menu is quite large for a taco restaurant and had lots of options for any tastes. I had 3 tacos - the Pescado, Carne Con Queso and the campechano. The price is typical downtown pricing but each taco was packed with ingredients. I could have gotten away with eating 2 tacos and be full. We also ordered guac and chips for starters and they provided unlimited chips (which were fresh!). To end the dinner we had the tres leche. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients which we all enjoyed thoroughly. Finally, the service was top notch. Super attentive and very friendly staff. The food was also served one at a time so you could thoroughly enjoy your taco hot before diving into the next one. I can see why they received the Michelin star!

Came for a late lunch on a Friday, and there was no wait at around 2 PM. Pescado taco was my favorite, followed by the carne con queso. Tinga de pollo was also solid. Overall really good!

One of my favorite meals in Toronto. A host of various taco options. Each better than the last. Ended up going with the Tinga de Res. Delectable. I was truly impressed by how amazing the Margarita was. (We had several). If you come here, you'll leave satisfied (and a little inebriated) Staff was equally as awesome. Experts on the menu with great suggestions. Very family kind of vibes here.

Found this place on the Michelin guide and it definitely lives up to its hype. $10 for one taco seems pretty pricey but it's actually quite large and surprisingly filling. Between two people we shared 3 tacos and chips with guac/salsa and we were quite full. I'd also highly recommend getting a drink with your meal! My margarita was strong and flavorful which made the food even more enjoyable.

Oh my gosh this meal was INCREDIBLE. We heard about this place from some locals and it did not disappoint. Probably some of the best tacos I've had in my life, they were so well done and the flavors were so well balanced. They had bad bunny playing and the lights were dimmed so the ambiance was also so lovely. MUST go while in Toronto!

Campechano is still probably the best taco spot in Toronto - the carne con queso, which is braised beef with cheese and a crispy tortilla is one of the best I've ever had. You can't go wrong with any of their tacos, especially the steak which is a classic. BUT, the prices have gotten insane - at $13 for a taco, that's nearly double most other places. Even though the taco is amazing, the value just isn't there anymore.

So yummy! Some of the best tacos I've eaten and I understand why they're Michelin recommended! The food was so tasty; everything was packed with different flavours. I honestly wanted to try more but was so full by the end!

Honestly one of the best taco spots in the city! We were blown away with how flavourful each and every taco we had was. Our top favourites were the chorizo con papa and the carne con queso. One order is a single taco so it is slightly on the more expensive side but it is so justified and worth it! The portion size is hefty for a single taco, but at the same time the ingredients are not spilling over the sides. You can taste the individual layers of the ingredients in the tacos which was amazing and all the flavours combined together was truly divine. Slightly disappointed that some items we wanted to try were sold out but by no means did that take away from the experience! The service here was good - they were quick to get back to us and we got sit down relatively quick. Definitely a must try spot if you love tacos!

Food is quite good. The guacamole and salsa are excellent and the tacos are very good. My favorite was the pescado. The papa taco was good too, but I have to make the fish taco my favorite.

I came here with my friend on Sunday. I had two tacos and a spicy margarita. The service is great, food and drinks were ok, but the price was hefty. - Pescado taco $9.00: 4/5, batter fried fish was crispy well balanced with green sauce and pink cabbage coleslaw - Chorizo con papa $9.00: 2.5/5, potato to meat ratio is too high and didn't have enough sauce to round out the acidity of the chorizo - Spicy margarita $13.50: 4.5/5, I loved this drink it was very tasty Good experience overall but not memorable enough to warrant a return anytime soon.

My dad and I came here on a last minute decision, and I'm so happy we did. The chips and guacamole were super fresh and tasty, not just some store bought stuff. We got four tacos: the mushroom one, the Carnita, the chicken one, and another pork one I believe. All of them were super flavorful with well thought out combinations. The mushroom one is a must have and I would also recommend the carnitas one as well. It's a very intimate venue with a cozy feel. The servers are friendly but not overly attentive. The service is extremely fast, which was nice. The prices are also super reasonable. If I lived in Toronto or frequented Toronto, I would always stop here.

The place is a bit small so it can be a bit tight so I would highly recommend having reservations if you have a large group. Tacos: The soft and the crispy tacos were both delicious. When I went to the basement washroom, I swear I saw what looked like the end of a mouse's tail sticking out from under the door. Needless to say, I completely lost my appetite. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him honestly that it was terrible. I had only taken two bites, and there was really no response. I wouldn't have wanted a replacement anyway after that experience. I also had some fruit bites, and about 10 minutes later my stomach started gurgling. By the time I got home, I felt awful. I was shivering, felt like I was going to throw up, and had to rush to the bathroom. It honestly felt like food poisoning. And I still paid for my meal Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

We got lucky and they were able to squeeze us into seats at the bar area, which ended up being the best possible spot because we had a front-row view of the live fire cooking the entire night. The ambiance was lively and hip, with a great energy that made the whole experience feel exciting. This was my first time watching each main courses get cooked over live fire in real time, which added to our amazement given that all the dishes came out cooked to the right doneness. Every bite of meat and seafood was perfectly kissed with flame -- the char, the subtle smoke, the texture. Beyond the fire element, you can really taste how fresh everything is. Nothing felt heavy or muddled. Each dish was well thought out with balanced flavors, but the ingredients and that fire/smoke magic were always the main event. Service was also superb. All the staff were attentive and high-energy. Different servers checked up on us throughout the meal, our water was always kept full, and dishes were cleared in a timely manner. Only drawback: the heat. Sitting by the fire is incredible for the show, but it definitely started to feel like a sauna at times. Still, I'd do it again and choose to sit at the bar without hesitation. If you're in Toronto and you love a tasting menu, this is a must. Just make sure you book at least a month in advance - it's popular for a reason.

The inside was nice, it was dark with ambient lighting and decorated with a modern and Mexican theme. The waitress was super nice, and the staff were fairly attentive. But overall the guac was yummy and the chips were very crunchy with a nice seasoning. They have a special every day of the week and Thursdays are there crunch tacos, which are hard shell tacos, wrapped in a soft shell taco with some sauce in between, and you can choose between their chorizo or chicken.
