This review reflects our limited, but favorable, interaction with this company as potential buyers. My husband and I have been researching class B RVs for potential purchase. We saw an advertisement for an RV of potential interest in their Woodford, VA lot, and sent an email expressing our interest to see the vehicle. A sales representative, Kurt, reached out to us, and we scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. Upon arrival, we found that Kurt had the RV waiting for our inspection. He had opened the "pop up" on the RV, and it had been freshly washed. Kurt was great, patiently answering questions -- before and after our test drive. We were also very pleased that he didn't "pressure a sale" nor did he try to up-sale us. Following our meeting, he sent professional emails to both me and my husband. We're still considering what options are most important to us in an RV, but Campers Inn will definitely be a company that we would consider purchasing from. We obviously can't speak to their prices, financing, nor servicing. read more

This was my first time my wife and I bought a camper here and we couldn't have been happier. We seen a camper at the Fredericksburg RV show and started the paperwork there. We knew exactly what we were looking for and that is what we got. There was no pushy sales people, just sales people who were willing to answer our questions. We went into the office to sign all the papers and we were told it would take a out an hour, and it did. We met with the Finance Manager Kim and he was great. He wasn't pushy on the up sales but did show us what they offered. They told us it would take about 2 hours to pick up our unit and to do the walk through, and it took exactly that. They took the time to answer any questions and showed us how everything worked. They even took time to answer the silly questions from my 3 little ones. We will definitely buy our next one from this team as well. read more

As the one star review shows, we're very unhappy campers. Had an appointment and took our RV in for service and relatively minor repairs on March 15th. Knew we would have to leave it for awhile so that wasn't a problem. After about five weeks we called to get a status update. Had to call and leave messages five times over the course of a week before we even got a call back. Finally got a call yesterday from the technician. A quick summary of that conversation was that they hadn't even bothered to look at the unit until we started calling. Parts had not been ordered. Frankly, the message was they really didn't give a d--- if they ever got to it. This morning I called the Campers Inn "We Care" line to see if anything could be done. Shortly thereafter we got a call from the Service Department. Apparently they had received a call from "We Care" which served to light a fire under ... This call back confirmed what we already knew, they hadn't even looked at the thing but were doing so now because they were catching flack from corporate. Nothing had yet been ordered. Following this conversation they called Forest River and confirmed the parts were available and got pricing. They then called us back to advise us of the pricing and tell us how much labor would be involved. To add insult to injury, they then told us that we would have to pay for the parts before they would order them. I'm not sure whether that was to get even with us for calling the "We Care" line, or because they have cash flow problems and could not afford to front the less than $150 that the parts cost. For crying out loud, they have the RV and, under the laws of this state, they have a mechanics lien on the RV for any work they perform and can refuse to let us take the RV till we pay for it. What a bunch of petty children. By the way, their time estimates for the work are almost criminal. An hour to change a tail light? Last time it burned it took me less than half that, including the time to gather my tools together. Another hour to replace an 18 inch by 6 inch panel under the door that is held on by a couple of bolts. Should take about then minutes. Anyway, parts are supposed to be in on the 10th (wouid have been there a month ago if they'd bothered to even look at the unit when it was turned over to them) and we'll see what happens next. THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT DEALING WITH THIS DEALER IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING AN RV AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN INDEPENDENT RV TECH AVAILABLE TO DO ANY MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR WORK YOU MAY NEED. read more

I made a decision to not buy from them because the first 3 minutes with the sales person put me off big time. Tali (I think that was his name) would NOT listen to anything I said. I told him exactly what I was looking for. Yet he would not show me that. He wanted me to look at what he wanted meet to. He told me we needed to go inside first. I told him no. He told me we did. I didnt want to. He kept showing me campers I didn't want. When I went to leave, he wanted my information. I wouldn't give it to him and he got upset. Just got our second travel trailer in less than a year and she was wonderful through the whole process of buying the original camper and upgrading to a larger one that fit our present needs better. Kelly handled everything and Campers Inn was able to find our new RV in their Campers Inn network and bring it down from Pittsburgh, PA. AND then deliver it to our campsite in Williamsburg, VA. The whole experience was great. No shady smooth talk, just honestly and friendliness. Absolutely DO NOT recommend Campers Inn RV of Fredericksburg, VA. We took our RV in for some repairs and a recall. There were about five things wrong with it that we wanted fixed. Initially we received a one week estimate. Communication is extremely poor. We had to continuously call and email for status updates. Most of the time did not receive responses to voice mails or emails. One time we received a call back, only after threatening to contact our attorney. Over two months later we finally picked up the RV, with only one out of five things on the order repaired. We were told the warranty didn't cover all the repairs we wanted. We already understood that the one repair (front cap delamination) would only be partially covered by warranty, so we came prepared to pay the balance. The hinge recall was not addressed because it was determined it was not needed for our RV. This is after weeks of waiting and being told they were waiting for the hinge part. We have no issues with the money we paid for the cap repair or the fact the recall was not needed. Our frustration is that the other repairs on the list were not addressed. Even though they weren't covered under warranty, we still need them repaired. We were never notified that the other repairs weren't covered and the work wasn't being done. We've been waiting months and went to pick up our RV fully expecting the work to be done. We should've had an opportunity to decide if we could pay for it ourselves. Instead, Campers Inn did not communicate and just decided the work wouldn't be completed. The personnel in the office could not seem to comprehend that the warranty was not the issue. One of the repairs to be addressed was a battery/converter issue. Because they chose not to address the problem, the battery was dead when we arrived, and we could not lift the jacks to hook up so we could leave with our RV. Fortunately, there was one mechanic who was helpful. He hooked our battery up to a portable charger/jumper so we could hook up and leave. The workers in the office were not helpful at all and did not seem to be listening. They focused on the warranty and blaming the manufacturer instead of understanding that we still needed the work done. read more

If I could sum up our dealing with Campers Inn in a few words it would include shady and lacking in integrity. We bought our trailer from an RV show and used their financing. We purchased gap insurance and paid our trailer off in 2 years time. We requested the prorated return of the insurance and have had nothing but run around and communication issues at best, lies more accurately. We were given multiple excuses and promised a figure. Now an entire year later after Joey gave us this amount, we finally get a check that is short by $100. So frustrating when it took a painless week to get our gap insurance check from paying off our truck. Also, when we bought the trailer we were presented with the packages that included filling the tires with this magical gell that prevented tire blowouts. Now after seeing the tire blow after a few trips we know that our money would have been much better spent just upgrading the tires. We will never finance through them again and see that buying used or obtaining your own financing would be the better way to go. We will not pad pockets with unneeded packages again or use financing where we are left questioning if gap insurance was even purchased. The check came back directly from Campers Inn following a year of complete frustration. read more

I purchased my camper from Campers Inn a year ago. Kelly was amazing and I would give her 5 stars. The one star rating on this review is to due with the parts/service department. I live an hour away from them and every time something goes wrong with my camper they want me to haul it up to them. This is simply not feasible! Recently I had my power convertor go bad. My husband pulled it out of the camper so I would be able to take the dead part to them to exchange under warranty, but nope that is not good enough I have to bring my entire camper to them to fix the part. Even if I agreed to do that (which is ridiculous) they cannot get my in for another month! Unacceptable! I wish I could just take my camper back to them and purchase from another company closer to home or that understands pulling a camper around is not as simple as they think. read more

Like all dealerships, everyone is your best friend until you make a purchase, then you are on your own. This place is no exception. This place may be ok if you are buying a travel trailer or 5th wheel, but they are completely over their heads with Class A Diesel Pushers. Instead of admitting that they didn't know an answer to a question, the staff "winged it" with disasterous results ( a totalled car, and driving illegally among others) The staff also did not perform the work specified in the purchase contract, and I am still trying to get reimbursed for my expenses. They also damaged the doors to the under carriage of the coach while attempting to work on it. If you are looking for a larger motorhome, I would stay far away from this place. read more

I wouldn't even give one star to Evan. I had emailed about a camper they had and wanted the sale price since it was crossed out online. Well the price I got was 100.00 cheaper than the crossed out price so I don't think that is a sale!!! Then I proceeded to tell him I found the same camper in the same area 5,000 cheaper and he said good you should go buy it!!! Is that the customer service that you get when you are looking to purchase a camper? My husband and I recently visited them at a show and that gentleman was very nice and told us to come see him... well we won't be purchasing anything from them with the way the sales person handled our emails back and fourth. First experience with Clem's rv, service department, Fredericksburg. Dropping my rv was a bit of a nightmare since they only took "drop offs" during the week so it was slightly difficult with work commitments and traffic. They did work with me and I was able to drop it off on a weekend. Like most rv maintenance facilities in the summer, this one was understaffed and crazy busy. I assume that there is waiting associated with most rv dealers in the summer anyway so no big deal. Overall service was great. Staff communicated with me efficiently and always got permission before doing additional work (my request). I never felt I was being "nickeled and dimed" and am completely satisfied with service and work. Main tech (I think his name was Andy) was super down to earth, too time to explain things to me and even went out of his way to address some issues on the spot. Did not know exactly what we were looking for, so went to the dealership to check out our options. Put off by their not wanting to show us range of rv's. They stated they would only open the larger ones if we were truly interested in that one and could afford it. We could afford anything they had on the lot, but I don't feel the way they went about it was at all inviting. also, the salesman talked WAY too much about anecdotes and incidentals and it was difficult to truly look at the rv and appreciate it. BUYER BEWARE! The staff greets you with warm smiles and are happy to sell you an rv. If you buy from them, you better hope nothing ever goes wrong. I paid $1,800 for a repair at this shop to have it last for less than six weeks. I took my camper there on a Saturday and was told to leave it until Monday when the service manager could look at it -- I did. I called on Monday and was greeted by an incredibly rude Patsy Jones (service manager) who spoke to me in a snarky tone dripping in sarcasm. I was not permitted to even finish explaining my concern before I was cut off and told that she was "so happy I called because she needs me to get my camper out of there TODAY and if I was unable to do so she would be happy to have it towed to storage where I could pay $25 a day." (Did I mention the snarky tone dripping in sarcasm.) It is beyond me why any company would want someone working as a service manager who is unable to speak to CUSTOMERS in a professional and polite manner. Karma coming at you Patsy. read more
