This was the first season the campground, and the 11 full hookup sites were well equipped with a gravel pad, fire ring, and a large wooden picnic table. A large play-set for children and a lake to fish in are ready to use. There is a lot of room between sites, and tall trees provide partial shade. The setting is close to a quiet rural road where Amish buggies frequently go by. A farm with donkeys and a horse is at the back of the sites. There is one private full bathroom with a shower, and one private toilet. Lake Lucy is only 15 minutes drive to the hiking trails of Cook Forrest State Park. There are several rail trails for biking nearby, and the Drake Oil Well State Historic Park in Titusville. Drake's well was the first commercially successful oil well in the world! Our hosts were amazing and open to communication. Firewood is available to buy at the campground. Nearby trails are the Route 66, Oil City, Samuel Justus, and Allegheny National Forest Trails.

The cabin we stayed in was comfy for our family of 5 and included a full bathroom with shower. It is still a camping experience so while you have a sink and coffee maker, there is no indoor grill or microwave. Everything was clean. We utilized the outdoor grill and fire pit nightly. Quiet hours were from 10pm-8am I appreciated all of the space in the cabin and strong AC. My only complaint is our mattress was a little hard so it wasn't the best sleep I've had, but overall these are above average accommodations for a camp ground. We enjoyed the accessibility of the site. You could easily walk to all of the amenities. If you are seeking amenities and things to do HTR will have you covered. We enjoyed the pool, mini golf, laser tag, kayak rentals, craft making hours, pedal bikes, and trails during our 4 night stay. All of these activities were included! Our kids had a blast and had something to do all day. The staff were very kind and really made us feel welcome. We loved the location as it was very close to Niagara Falls and restaurants in the surrounding area when we didn't want to cook on the camp grill. Overall, very happy with our visit and would highly recommend if you are looking for a camping experience without the work.

Note-the tent sites didn't offer a ton of privacy, it was kind of open. It was very close to two bathrooms. It was very quiet. We were so impressed upon arrival. Everything was well marked and clean. The general store has a little bit of everything. The staff was helpful and friendly. They offered a lot of family friendly activities. We were there during their harvest festival weekend. They offered hay rides and cider and donuts by their bon fire the first night we were there. Almost all of their activities are included. They charge a fee for their zip lines. They offer free pedal bike usage alongwith boat usage. It is conveniently located to Niagara Falls. They offer late check-in and even check in for folks who don't have a reservation, if they have availability Saturday morning the store opened at 9 AM a little late for us since we were on the road by 845. We were hoping to buy acup of coffee (they have $2 K-cups).

The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

It felt like every hour we were getting checked in on or we were asked to change something In our sight because it didn't meet the rules. No hanging clothes outside, no pop up campers, no lights, the list goes on. Our code never worked to get into the bathrooms or game room. Our septic hookup was broke, the neighbors beside us were loud but they never got talked too. My grandparents have a park model at a Koa campground on Chautauqua lake and there's less rules there. It explains why the place was so empty. It definitely used to be a really great place back in the day. It's sad what it is now.

It was a weekend, so they offered wagon rides "looking for Bigfoot", it was so much fun, we joined them for both nights, they had an eye on the weather and went out on the ride a little earlier. The owner, however, has a long list of ridiculous rules, and treats everyone like their her children, no matter their age. Everything is included in the monthly price, electric, sewer, water, but most electric boxes only have a 30 amp socket, which sucks if you don't have an adapter, and she has a list of things you can't do/use because you're on their electric. Plus, the tree we were under released big heavy seeds on us the entire summer, not even exaggerating. Pretty at first, annoying after a month. The town, Friendship, is really small, but there's a good diner, TC's right in town...great food, cheap prices. Besides that, the area is good for antiquing and festivals and wine tastings, but thats about it for fun.
