My family and I had a trip planned for this weekend. We arrived Wednesday evening after hours. We…read moreproceeded to our assigned camp site and the neighboring campsites had pop ups, picnic tables and chairs in our site. We reached out to the 24 hour number we were provided and were advised that nobody was onsite but to ask the people to move. We ended up on a FaceTime call with the manager who after a while told us to move to a different site that was severely un level and muddy. When we couldn't make that site work because it was only 30 amp and too small for our fifth wheel. We were told to move to yet a different site and we would figure it out in the morning. The next morning we were texted and told that we needed to move back to the original site. My wife walked over and all of the items were still in our site. The campground instructed us to tell the people to move. All though that shouldn't be our responsibility to do we did. The people said they would but instead left. After all of the issues we divided to leave. Nobody seemed to care at this point so we moved to a different campground. It was quite an experience. I would absolutely not recommend this place which is a shame because a year ago we had a great experience here. We were informed that the owners were a corporation and it truly shows. Campers paradise is an ironic name as there is nothing paradise about this place.

I feel this is a very important piece of information for anyone who is deciding whether or not to spend their money here. When I saw the sign on the road I guess I thought it was just a generic bbq sign. I didn't recognize the logo. After walking around a bit it just seemed familiar but I couldn't place it. When I tried to engage with the clerk they definitely dodged all my questions. They don't operate the restaurant attached to the store/gas station/cabins. They just let them operate there. Definitely a big disappointment that they're sharing space. When I decide where to spend my money I take honestly and transparency into account. They're hoping the world forgot. They want to serve food at the location but not have to deal with the food service aspect. They want all the traffic that comes with that but none of the stain of the reputation. Nope. I will no longer book any cabins or make any other purchases at the store or gas station as long as they are leasing space and profiting from this other business. Any attempt to bully me to take this review down will only be taken to social media in a big way.

Oil Creek Campground totally made me only want to camp in the woods from now on! I loved camping…read morebefore I came here, but man did I fall in love with it head over heels here! The campgrounds I had been to before here did not have nice wooded spots, you were just out in the open. Oil Creek is nothing like those! The roads to get to this location are very rural, and you travel back into the woods. I was so happy pulling in here and so excited to finally camp in a wooded area. We checked in at the office and from the start all the staff were so nice and helpful! Our site was a pull through site so it was pretty humongous for a little tent. Who wouldn't appreciate that though? All the sites were very level and almost all the tent sites were surrounded by trees. I was very happy for our site! There are several bathrooms that have the step to flush toilets, and a shower house. They were clean for a Campground, not the best, however I will take that for the besides sites and area any day! Also on the Campground is a fun disc golf course. It is very short, but it is a fun activity! They also have a fishing pond, pool, playgrounds and a game room. THE BEST PART THOUGH, are the ALPACAS! Who doesn't love their sweet, soft, cute faces?! I was so happy to camp with some alpacas!! I can only imagine how excited a kid would be lol! I love this Campground! Location was conveniently placed in relation to Titusville and oil creek state park. The campground was extremely clean and the owners were very friendly. The bathrooms were cleaned daily. Instead he made sure to ruin our time by kicking out 1 family of 7 that were there bc their teenagers upset him over a game. Hook ups are also inconvienently placed about 25 yards away from site. Cable didn't work. Breakers consistently popping. Wifi would continually kick you off. Won't be back.

I am working on a book and needed a place in the area to work quietly (as I had a few nearby locations to visit for research) and this cabin was just right! The owners were extremely good at communication and the checkin/checkout price was so smooth. I did not have the opportunity to use the fire pit or grill during this stay, and cannot comment on those, but they are available! A generous stack of firewood was made available for the fire pit, I had noticed. The cabins are easy to find right off of 36, and they are private. I might have been the only one there this time (which is fine!) but even if you have "neighbors" I think there'd be plenty of privacy and quiet solitude. I am definitely hoping to come back in the future, and bring my husband along next time!

had a great weekend camping here!…read more evergreen cabins in the off-season is amazing. we had a cute cabin weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. plus, it snowed right after we got there so we woke up to a white blanket! the folks who run the cabins are so nice and accommodating, they even let us bring our 3 dogs when their limit is usually 2. we didn't see any wildlife during our trip. but we did see some bear prints in the snow when we were leaving. overall a really cool weekend

A major down side to this park is it is noisy due to all the motorized bikes and atv's that ride around from sun up to well past sun down. Kids of all ages that are not monitored by parents and are allowed to ride on the same for roads as park traffic. If you are looking to enjoy some peace and quiet go during the week. Weekends are busy, noisy and anything but quiet.

Beautiful view of the area from our outdoor deck. Very peaceful retreat for us and enough space in between the cabins so the other renters weren't a problem. I would encourage anybody coming to the Cook Forest area to stay at Black Bear. It's priced right and I will definitely be coming back for many years to come with my whole family.

A caboose! Every kids dream to ride in a caboose! I got to sleep in one! How awesome is that?…read moreIt is wonderful. The A/C was perfect during This record heat wave in the 90s! So comfy! It is a perfect size for the night! There is a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, a nice side chair, luggage rack. A shower, a nice bathroom sink with a vanity. There are chairs outside to sit and watch the world go by. It is fairly quiet inside also. We plan on coming up another time and stay as we found a wonderful old style restaurant... Sam's... just down the road. Also it is right next to the Titusville train which we plan to ride in the morning. All aboard!

I will start my review with the positives. There are only two: the staff, particularly the woman at…read morethe desk, was very pleasant and as helpful as they could be. And the bed was very comfortable. That's it. Now for the not-so-great aspects of our stay. Sadly, this will take a bit of time. It was the opening day of the season so we thought it might actually be the best experience. You know....rooms all freshly cleaned and checked and ready for the season. Nope. It started with check-in when credit cards could not be processed because the phone line was not working. The woman needed to write down all my credit card details so she could "keep trying." That's a little unnerving but we understood. Things happen. Then we go to our caboose (1001) and it has not been aired out - stale and beastly hot. Since no windows open, we left the door open and blasted the A/C. Then we looked at the room. Think Red Roof Inn with no remodeling since maybe 1980. Bad. But - OK - make the best of it. At least it was clean(ish). Bzzzz....bzzzzz....now what? Three wasps. Great. The desk clerk came with a swatter and a can of wasp spray. She got 1 and left the tools for us. Are we done? Nope. Next, we discovered that there was no water pressure at the bathroom sink or shower. Only a weak trickle/drip. Maintenance came pretty quickly but, after several back-and-forth trips, determined the problem could not be fixed for our stay. We had now been unpacked for a couple hours and were just about to leave for the evening. But first, we had to drag everything to a new room, 2 doors down. I guess this was actually a good thing since the 2nd caboose (1003) was marginally less shabby than the first. Marginally. After all of the issues we had, you would think we would be offered some token of compensation, some amount deducted from our bill. Nope. Not a word and, frankly, I didn't ask. We had been understanding and even cheerful throughout all the problems yet the business did not see fit to do the right thing. The biggest shame of it is that my husband, a train enthusiast, has wanted to stay at the Caboose Motel for a long time. We just never got there until we made a special point to go. Now we know and we don't need to do that ever again.
