Camping World's hiring process at this location is completely unprofessional and a waste of applicants' time. Interviews are scheduled and then no one shows up. They reschedule interviews, place candidates in virtual waiting rooms for an hour, and still fail to appear. Communication is nonexistent. When someone finally does follow up, you're told the position has already been filled despite multiple missed interviews on their end. This shows a complete lack of respect for candidates and speaks volumes about internal organization and leadership. Based on this experience, it's not surprising that Camping World has the reputation it does. A company that treats potential employees this poorly almost certainly treats its customers the same way. Months-long wait to get service. Condescending staff when I'm not a camping expert. And to top it off, they closed for the summer for remodeling. Their phone number auto-redirects to the store in Chelsea... but they don't tell you you're talking to someone in Chelsea. So I ask questions about items available for repairs and drive down to Belleville, and the store is closed. The Belleville number should lead you to a voicemail that explains the store is closed for remodeling, instead of just redirecting you to another store an hour away that has no idea you thought you were calling the Belleville store. read more

I've been here multiple times over the last year. They have a good inventory, but... none of the staff wear masks consistently or properly. Since it's happened multiple times, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the management truly does not care about the safety of their customers or complying with state law. Wow. My first trip here was a wowzer! We went up and down every aisle, looking at all the outdoor-themed goodies. We bought some great chairs, collapsible kitchen gear, a folding table, these amazing scissors, a water filter and a flint steel fire starter. There were ice cream treats available for customers due to the intense heat. Chris S. was our cashier and so much more. She made sure we rcvd the newest Good Sam guide series AND that we used the coupn inside. She checked prices for us, found items we were searching for and told us to take advantage of the Customer Service area while we waited out the hellacious storm that was upon us. But first, she brought us each a bottled water. We waited about 30 minutes, for things to quiet down. All in all, we were there 2 hours! It was definitely worth the 90 minute drive! I believe if this store has a dictionary the term "Customer Service" is nowhere to be found. You call for the SERVICE dept, let it ring 40x and then you get the operator again. I called the entire day - NOT ONE TIME did "service" answer. Drove to the store, walked up to the counter and 2 of the service people left to go to the bay area and the remaining one never asked me if she could help me as she kept her back to me for about 10 mins. Finally a different dept woman came over to ask me if she could help me and then told me they only have one technician and they can get me in late October. Its July 16th?!?!? Oddly this is the 2nd time I dealt with this company. Last year it only took them 4-5 months to handle an insurance claim... AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!! read more

I bought king short sheets for my new camper, can't find them anywhere even on Amazon. I paid 50 for them and they are they absolute worst sheets. FIRST DELIVERY TOOK FOREVER, almost 2 weeks. used them only a week before they started piling like a sweater does, little balls of material from your body rubbing against them they are made from 100% polyester? gross..... after I washed them hoping that would help they are even worse.... total garbage, don't waste your money. My wife and I can't believe how terrible this place actually is! that A Place Like This Can Stay in business with bad service and cheating its customers is beyond us? We took our very beautiful 36 ft rv to have the back end worked on because it had some slight cosmetic damage from some people we let use it. We paid them thousands of dollars for the job and when we returned as a follow-up to have the unit buffed out to match the new paint job from their work (because the work needed to settle mechanic said for a week or so) we came back to pick it up and our vehicle was dented and wrecked in the same place. They said someone or something happened to it and OH WELL!! I WAS Just supposed to be OK with them taking no responsibility?? Come on????? They just get paid thousands of dollars and try to give me back a messed up motor home? My wife cryed, this isn't something we should have to put on our insurance!! And can you believe they even tried to get us to give them more money to fix it again!! NO WAY!! THEY EVEN CHARGED US ALMOST $500 FOR THE BUFF JOB AND a little inside cleaning. I would not recommend them to anyone!! And my beautiful wife and I travel alot and we have been to many other fine camping supply centers. This is NOT ONE!! And AVOID THEIR SERVICE CENTER LIKE THE PLAGUE we got our oil changed and ended up with dead batteries and other problems. And we have a newer rv that we have lived in and know well! We also have a reputable business and that is why i was so passionate about making this review!! Good store to find gear and accessories specific to campers. Not always the cheapest, but I can find things that I can't find at big box stores. Often I check the website and find great deals there, and sometimes run in for the convenience. I went into this store recently as my Camper needed tires. After doing a huge amount of research online and not getting much information, I walked in, tire on a cart. The service advisor looked up options he could provide me, but as an aside gave me local sources that were much more cost efficient. I walked out so pleased with the whole experience, not spending a dime, but so grateful that the store was there. read more

Do not go here for collision repair. We live in our 5th wheel. We had a blow out and needed repair. Richard ordered parts in May called to schedule the repair for August 20. All along promising it would take 1 day to repair and look at the inverter problem. I order something on 11/6/21. After a week went by and my order had still not been shipped, I contacted Camping World to inquire about my order, I was informed that since my order was being shipped from the vendor, that it would take two weeks. According to my order status on there website, my expected receive date was 11/19/21 - 11/22/21. When these dates went by and I didn't receive anything, I checked my status again, my delivery date had been changed to 12/6/21. I contacted Camping World again, on 11/26/21 and was told that the would be inquiring with the vendor. I then canceled my order, and was told that once they heard back from the vendor they will confirm the cancelation. I informed then that if this wasn't resolved by 12/7/21, I would be opening a dispute with PayPal. I have opened the dispute with PayPal. During this time my delivery date has continued to be pushed, currently I have an delivery date of 12/24 - 12/27. This after I yet I contacted Camping World two more times, once with them supposedly cancelling the order and once with them saying that I would receive my refund in 3-5 days. Then a FedEx tracking number was uploaded to my PayPal transaction so that PayPal would think that it had been shipped. After the tracking information was uploaded, my delivery date was pushed two more times, that did not make sense. It was supposedly delivered yesterday according to FedEx, but it was delivered to Washington State, I place that I have never lived or even been, I live in Michigan. It was supposed to be delivered to me at my address in Michigan. Camping World was paid on 11/6/21, they shouldn't have been paid until my order shipped. Camping World has been useless and a nightmare during this entire process. This was the first and last time I will ever make a purchase with them. The only reason I placed the order is because they had a good price, Amazon had the same thing for $80 more. Amazon dropped their price on Black Friday, I ended up paying an extra $20, but Amazon had it to me in days. DON'T BUY FROM HERE!! read more

So we've been to multiple camping world stores around the country, and this store, by far, is the best. Well stocked store, great staff, great repair center. The service staff is the best. Long term employees are knowledgeable and pleasant. Chris is the best repair guy around. The only flaw with this location was that they couldn't get another repair guy, so you would be delayed scheduling a job. But now they're hired up, it's easy to get in. The parking lot is locked at night, there's plenty of room to park a rig, if you're just shopping or if you have to leave it. Easy access off the freeway, off the service drive If you're towing, and need something to do, there's also great shopping minutes away. The prices are not cheap in the store perhaps, but if you've gone to boating stores or custom car shops, you'd know NO specialty store will be at Walmart prices. My husband and I were on the road with our travel trailer heading to a campground across the state and realized that our exterior power cord was damaged and needed to be replaced. We called 2 other rv services centers that were near by, neither of which would even give us the time of day. Hoping the third try would be different, we called Camping World of Belleville. Steve in the service center said his workers were super swamped but he would be more than happy to help us out since we were on the road and it was urgent that we get the plug fixed. When we arrived, the store was super clean and Steve was waiting for us, he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! He was even able to explain to us why the plug failed in the first place and what to do in the future to prevent it from happening again! The service department guys fixed the issue super fast and we were able to resume our trip without too much of a delay. We would recommend this store and service department to Anyone!!! Terrible customer service, more concerned about upselling their Sam's Club than making sure their customers are served in a timely manner. No sense of urgency; long lines at registers. Lost our receipt in a move for a part and came back and tried to exchange. Thought maybe they could look me up by credit card. My husband and I took our RV in to have a roof leak fixed under our air conditioner. We then took it directly to a Ford dealership to have the air conditioner on the motor fixed. For some reason, they decided to check out the roof air conditioner and told us it no longer works. It did when we took it into Camping World!!!! We also wanted an estimate on some body work, which they never did get around to doing. We left it there an extra week and the guy never got around to doing the estimate. My spouse and I were in the Belleville, MI store last weekend waiting in line for at least ten minutes, while two clerks ignored us and the customer behind us. Finally, my husband asked one of the clerks to get us some help, so she paged someone to come to the register. I realize the two clerks were helping other customers, but they didn't even aknowledge us standing at the checkout or make any effort to call for assistance.
