I called service to have my wheel bearing checked and brakes checked! they did not have a opening until around October 20 I told them that it would not be a problem I will take it. Then it became a problem! I was told, since I did not buy the unit from them, They had to takecare of the people who bought from them first and now did not know when they could get to me. I was told by the dealer I bought the trailer from Terry Town in Grandrapids MI. They informed me that National RV in Belleville MI would do my service and warrenty work if needed with no problems. Well here we are PROBLEM. We were thinking of buying new from National RV this time. if this is the way they operate no thanks I'll take my money elsewhere. They deserve the rating they have they earned it, it should be "0" what a BS RV dealer to do something like that. Went here twice to get parts for my camper. First time they closed 10 minutes to 6 and are listed to close at 6. Second time was a Sat and the parts department was closed and a salesman told me they could not ring anything up. So I left and went to General RV and spent $200 in parts. Gabrielle Selvius is extremely rude and unprofessional. She insults others who don't have the same wealth as her family and calls them horrible names. This also doesn't seem to be a one time thing. If you look at their BBB report or at reviews on other sites, many people complain about her as well. This is the problem with giving family members jobs they don't deserve. They also censor their facebook- removed reviews, removed visitor posts and remove comments they don't like. Not a good way to do business! Run for the hills from this place. They don't deserve your business. Gabrielle still obviously has some sort of lofty position there. So while she may not be the manager (which I never said she was), she still feels very entitled. I stopped by the dealership and met Anthony, a salesperson. I was fairly sure I knew what I wanted. I seemed to know a bit more about the travel trailer that I wanted to buy then he did. I had several questions that he could not answer. I asked if he could call the rep to get the answers. He took down all my information and said he would get back to me. Never heard back. I ran into him at the RV show. Seemed all friendly, wants to know when I'm going to buy from him. Stopped by the dealership the next week. Again I had some questions, said he would get some answers. Found my contact information in the computer from the last time we talked. He even texted me his business card as we talked. Once again, never heard back. I have since put the order in from a dealer much further away. National RV was only 15 minutes from my home. After a few weeks I texted him on the cell number on his business card and let him know I bought elsewhere as I never heard back on 2 separate occasions. His reply, and this is real "Sometimes life and work gets in the way". So his work as a salesperson got in the way of selling me a travel trailer. Not sure how he makes a living. read more

My husband and I went in to look at a 27ft living space (33ft in length). We were talked into looking at a 29ft living space ( 36 ft in length). We expressed concerns towing a 36ft camper based on our trailering experience and towing with a 1500 Silverado. When we expressed we needed to sell our previous camper before purchasing a new one. We put a deposit down, which we stated needed to be contingent on us selling our current. We signed and put a deposit down. After further research on my husband's part, we found out the 36ft trailer was not recommended to be towed with anything less than a 2500 due to weight distribution and sway. So we ended up moving the deposit to the 27ft living space (33ft in length). After not being able to sell our camper for several weeks privately, we asked for our deposit back only to find out it was NON-REFUNDABLE and did not include our selling contingency. Both my husband and I expressed several times we only wanted to move forward if we were able to sell our previous camper. The poor communication of this establishment and the lack of knowledge in vehicle towing capabilities was unbelievable. We cut our losses and ended up purchasing a travel trailer elsewhere that was able to give us a fair trade to negate the need to try to sell privately. Run, run far way from this place. If you do get sucked in do NOT sign anything unless documented with your contingencies to get your money back. I might would give them 3 or 4 stars but the communication is AWFUL! We went to the camper show at Suburban Collection in Novi looking to maybe purchase a new camper. The husband loved this one and the sales guy was the only one at the show that actually said what can I do to make you but this! That sold us Everyone that day that we dealt with was great but it was after that everything went downhill! Days and days go by and no communication. Did we get our loan? (No reason to not but we still needed to know) we were told we would be in touch in 2-3 days. Welp that didn't happen Then we had questions. Days and days until a nasty gram went to them which seemed to now get their attention. Oh and 5 different people later. Seriously? We were so close to walking away and losing our deposit but after talking with Pete who reassured us it would be better we were told our camper is ready for pick up and he would get right back with us for a time. Nope here we are on a beautiful Saturday that would be a perfect day to drive down and pick it up and no communication! We also didn't realize the service department isn't open on Saturdays. WHAT? How on earth are we ever going to have any service done if they are not open on Saturday???? They are 45 mins away. Let's hope we never need service Welp picked up the camper and they said oh you were supposed to be here at 5:30 and my husband said no our appointment was 6:30 ‍. And the saga continues Today August 4th is now the 3 time it been back for repair. When we took it in the first time they were supposed to order a decal so they could fix the rivet that popped out. Still no decal. The last time they were supposed to fix the backsplash AGAIN and not only is it cracked it AGAIN is bowing away from the wall AGAIN. They conveniently forgot to put the mattress issue down so we slept on a mattress, that failed us the first time we took it out, for s whole week. I work with someone that also purchased a camper from these guys back in 2013 and she said if she knew we were looking to buy from them she would have warned me NOT TO BUY FROM THEM. I'm ready to contact the Better Business Bureau because this is unacceptable that a brand new camper would have as many issues and unresolved issues as we have had. Ordered our Vbud 26 travel trailer at rv show from National RV Detroit just before start of Covid. We understood the delay on receiving it. After using it for the summer maybe 5 or 6 times we had no problems but then a few things arose.. Husband called to schedule an appointment for problems months before the 1 year warranty was to expire, furnace would not work, inside fridge stopped cooling. He was told the soonest they could get it in to be looked at was a few days out of warranty, which my husband objected to but was told it would be OK because it was being covered under Covid reasons. Today when we took it at the appointment time was told it would not be covered because it was out of warranty. We left without the repairs because I was not giving my money to liars who seemed to deliberately schedule the appointment just days outside our coverage time read more

Our first experience was buying a 2018 toy hauler, it was great. We still have it no issues. On Oct. 31, 2020 we upgraded to a new fifth wheel with an extended warranty. Five months later the furnace stopped working. Called for an appointment, agreed for Sept date for repair not to ruin our summer. Took it in for service Sept 20th, returned a few days later. Right away I notice none of the seals were changed, this indicated to me that the furnace was never removed for service. Took a last camping trip on Oct.22nd, furnace came on once and quit. When into dealership Oct 25th was told no appointments until Nov. 10th. A few days later we were told it was ready and the cost was $570.00. When told this we had a problem, the service department was not in contact with the front office to verify the extended warranty was in effect. The service department wanted to keep it a few days to take pictures of the work, which was done. We were so done with this after a short confrontation. We were allowed to take fifth wheel home without paying for the covered repair. Yes, the furnace works now after two service repair visits in less than 1month. Their scapegoat statement " maintaince issue". But the quality of service we received; we will not refer any new customers to National RV. read more

Finally got our trailer back. It took 5 1/2 months, several phone calls and texts, contacting the manufacturer before we were able to get it back. We've been lied too and treated like we were garbage. Not a way to treat your customers! If it weren't for customers you would not have a job. This has to be the worst company I have dealt with in years. I'm so thankful to be done dealing with this company, I will never use them again and will never refer anyone. Our initial contact with this dealership was great. Our salesperson was great, informational and not pushy at all. We bought a 2018 Sunset Trail in February, and we love it - we've camped in it three times already. After using the trailer on these three separate occasions, there is some warranty work that needs to be done - we CANNOT get through to the service department to make an appointment. We have called multiple times on four separate days, left messages, asked to speak with the General Manager/Owner, even called Crossroads (the parent company) AND still no call back. What does it take to get a trailer serviced here?? For this reason, we don't recommend this R.V. dealership. read more

If there was an option for negative stars, I would have opted for negative 10 stars. But... they don't want to give you that option, so here we go. Let's start. I made an appointment to drop our camper for some warranty work. When my wife and I got there at 6:05 on a Thursday night,which was their late night. There were two guys closing the gate. They had told us Thursday was the late night to close at 8:00pm. The one guy started getting mad and started cussing at me about how he works all" effing"day. I tried to calmly explain we just drove an hour and would like to drop our camper off. The man who was cussing my wife and I out said he was the service manager, and he would NOT have told me to bring it late. We picked the late day because I too work all day, and this was the only day I could get it there late. After dropping the camper off, I didn't hear anything from anyone for two months. I finally called,spoke to Alexa(?) Who stated they were waiting on parts. Then I tried to call her again. Three weeks later, she said they were STILL waiting on parts, and she was going to talk to the parts manager and see what the ETA was. The next person I spoke with was Amber, who promised she was going to get to the bottom of this and get everything straightened out. Apparently, all of the employees are about as honest as politicians, because every one of them has lied to me. After two times speaking with Amber, she stopped returning my phone calls. The next person in line was David, the general manager. He returned my call, told me to give him an hour and he would get back to me. He did return my call within an hour. He informed me that the service needed was not under warranty, and if I wanted a quote, he could get that for me. Not once, in any of my previous conversations, did anyone tell me this was not under warranty. The whole reason I waited to bring my camper to them in December was because I figured the service department would not be busy, and I wouldn't be using the camper. Every RV place we've ever dealt with has fed us the same bull. They're so ready to bend over backwards to SELL us a camper, and then when you need anything, you get the run-around. My theory is that they are happy to sell you something once, and that's all that counts. I am soooo mad! This is NOT my first RV. It probably won't be the last. But maybe I should just buy from a private seller and avoid the bull shit of dealing with a place that doesn't care if you're upset or mad. At least with a private seller, you know that you get what you get. Honestly, if I had enough money right now... After arriving on the lot, we walked in and spoke with a woman with long blond hair who 1.) Did not say hello, 2.) Complained of having a headache when we asked to see the interior of a few Airstreams, 3.) Completely disappeared after she opened the doors for us and perhaps most concerning 4.) Definitely did not wash her hands after using the restroom. I know- I was in there emptying my bladder after the wasted 2 hour drive. Called about an RV on their lot and was told a salesman would be contacting me shortly. Still waiting a week later, left my email, name and phone number. This is a sister company of Terrytown RV where I had purchased my last RV, had traveled to their dealership to look at a few fifth wheels on their lot, was given to a subordinate who has only been there a few months and he took all my info and said the salesman I originally contacted would call me with prices. That was over a week ago and have not received a call yet. Am totally done with Michigan RV dealers, their loss as we were going to buy with cash. read more

We bought our camper trailer from National RV, and we made arrangements to have it serviced. There was body work - an insurance claim for a dented body panel that was to be replaced - along with "warranty" fixes - a list of items that never worked at the time of purchase. We prepaid them for the body panel ($750) in March, and we brought it in for the actual install in early June. Gave them one month to actually do the work so that the camper would be ready for our vacation in mid-July. We even gave them a false deadline - a whole week - just in case they screwed it up. Turns out they cashed our check from March and never ordered the parts. Finally scrambled to get the parts in before our original 7/5 deadline. Parts showed up damaged and would have to be reordered. They promised to expedite the parts and make our "new" deadline, but then didn't. Instead, they said they would slap a temporary panel on so we could pick it up on Friday (7/12) at noon so that we could leave on vacation the next day (we had a substantial non-refundable deposit on the campground). Came at noon and they hadn't even started on the temporary repair. Got into a heated argument with a couple service personnel who said they never promised the work done - the forcefulness and belligerence they displayed to us was shocking. We waited in their lobby for four hours while they made the temporary repair. We took our "unrepaired" trailer on our vacation, and returned it to National RV to have the panel replaced. One of their "Management Team" members accepted the trailer from us personally, saying that the trailer would be repaired that following Monday (7/22), which was great because our next trip was 2 weeks from then. As of 7/31, the trailer still had not been repaired, and neither the Service Department (nor the "Manager") would return our calls or emails. I finally, left messages to the Manager via phone and email that we would be there by the end of the week to retrieve our camper and to get a refund of our repair money so that we could take our camper to a more reputable dealer, and that I was in the process of filing a grievance with the BBB. Magically, our camper was then repaired. The fact that I will never have to return to this place is a huge relief. I know that we are not the only ones to get this kind of treatment - the overwhelming load of bad reviews on Yelp and other sites offer stories that are complete repeats of ours. Buyer beware..... I recently purchased a trailer from this company all things went fine during the purchase. I lived in the trailer for 7 mos as I work over the road and had maybe a handful of minor repairs and recalls that needed to be taken care of and intended on them doing the winterized service as well. I had dropped off the trailer Dec 21st and informed the repair mngr that I would need it back asap. I called several times for 2 months checking on the unit and was told the air conditioning unit in my bedroom was gonna be a chargeable item because it was owner abuse.( The thing would rattle and one of the doors wouldn't stay open). Well March 20th I got my call to go back to work I went in and talked to the salesman I purchased the trailer from because I couldn't get a hold of the service mngr and I told him I would be needing the trailer that next Friday, he said he would surely take care of the situation. Well that didn't happen it was actually a week and a half later and I had alrdy missed 3 days of work due to there lies. Well I got the trailer and got to the site and job where I needed to be. Only to find out that I now had no hot water. So after repeated phone calls to find out what they had done and no help from the salesman 22 days later and 3 repairs of my own I called a mobil service to get the problem fixed. Well as you may or not know Mobil repair is not cheap the bill was 600 plus dollars and the problem was a shower handle turned on on the outside shower......why in the heck after the two dozen phone calls I made to the company they couldn't tell me that's how they winterize the unit also I believe it is a joke that my trailer sat there for almost 4 months to do minor repairs is beyond ridiculous. And come to find out they let my trailer sit in the yard till after they got back from Christmas break to winterize it, which caused the shower head to freeze and break. I have since sent the mobile bill to them for payment and it is week 2 with no response...my salesman has since told me it is not his problem and talk to the service mngr....who after repeated phone calls and or text messages doesn't reply either...love my trailer which is a Keystone laredo but as far as service and or sales you are just a number on there sales board and you dont mean shit........ read more

Eric Odom is outstanding. Spent about six months on and off showing us campers, then more campers as we kept trying to figure out what we could get based on truck and money. Note, this is our first camper. Eric educated us along the way, "pay attention to layout and space usage." I'm a fan of his for life and will follow him to any RV place! Communication timing about loan was good for me, perhaps a bit long for some people. Service checking on a leaking tank was a bit long since we were coming up on a trip, BUT Mike made sure some extra things were done FREE of charge, so that makes up for it. I purchased an RV from another dealership out of state. There were a few minor warranty repairs that needed done and when I called the manufacturer I was given National RV's information as it is local to me and is an authorized warranty repair facility. When I called to speak with someone, I was told they absolutely do not do any warranty work on vehicles that were not purchased from them. The gentleman stated "they don't pay us enough for warranty work for anyone but our customers." I contacted the manufacturer and was told that any authorized warranty repair center should honor the warranty and do the work. They will be looking into the situation. National was very rude on the phone, no way to do business. When it's time to purchase another RV, I will NOT be going to National, and will discourage any family/friends from purchasing there as well. read more

I thought this would be one of the best places to get a new RV. We were wrong. We had an NRVIA certified (if you don't know what that is- I'd look it up to save yourself) inspector inspect our brand new 2021 heartland bighorn traveler 35BK. Their service manager is probably one of the worst people I have ever met. He stated nothing was wrong, told us everything was fine. "That's just how it's made", even though there were problems. There was a problem with the slide, they even sent me a link so I could read up on how things work- which all it showed me is further proof that the slide was not working correctly and they refused to fix it. Ultimately we went with another dealer- same RV, and to our not so surprise- every single thing that their service MANAGER said was "normal" wasn't. Buyer beware. To the person who had the pending sale of the 21 bighorn traveler 35BK- if your slides start leaking within the year- it's because your slide was never aligned appropriately. Not sure how these people sleep at night selling products with defects with no qualms about it. I'm so happy I paid for my 1k 3rd party inspection to save me from headaches down the road. Oh, and the dinette leaflet isn't supposed to "angle downwards" and the cabinets on the outside are supposed to open fully too. Among many other issues. read more

No accountability! We bought a 2019 Airstream Classic in December and picked it up in January. We noted a couple things that needed to be fixed, after two times in the shop (not a single use yet) they are still broken! They told us the doors that don't close properly are because it's new. They told us that the broken panel was because of improper installation.....Then they were waiting on a part. Said they replaced it.... guess what, it's still broken. And....the onboard WiFi is not warrantied, and no instructions for if it disconnects..... And hot water that was fine, is still not working....... This unit should have never passed inspection and been released. Bathroom door does not fit properly. AND now on May 15, first available service date is July 3!!! I guess they bank on the big money items here. Airstream in the front display along with a vintage rebuilt TT. Both awesome but not in my price range. I was driven back to a lot where the weeds were up to my waist and I had to wade through the weeds to the type of camper I wanted to see. (A family 16-21ft TT that slept 4 with a bunkhouse and a queen) They really should maintain their grounds better. If there was a star less than one I would give it to their service department. Bought a brand new unit, only owned it a month and had to take it in for service. Three small issues but gave us a 12 day window that our rv would be ready. Well, the 12 days passes and no communication so we call and they told us parts were on order, no ideaas to a time line when it would be ready. Now after several calls and days go by with no further communication from them. So we call the National 800 number and they told us the parts arrived several day ago. We then called National Rv and we're told very rudely that our unit could be picked up the next day. Mind you they are located over an hour away, my husband arrived to pick it up and now has been waiting for over 7 hours in the waiting room for it to be done. As you are not allowed in the service area and have no idea what is going what the status is, we feel there is no reason to have this kind of a wait. We can only assume they are punishing my husband for call the 800 number and complaining. No other reason for the the excessive wait. DO NOT EVER HAVE YOUR UNIT SERVICED BY NATIONAL RV! A friend of mine had a bad experience with the service dept at National RV but I decided to take a chance anyway and have them winterize my fifth wheel camper. I assumed that they had probably been doing this for years and probably would know how. The service was done last October. When I was setting up on our first camping trip in July of this year water began to leak very fast rate from under the refrigerator. It is a residential refrigerator that has a water dispenser and ice cube maker. It should have been winterized along with the rest of the water system but apparently was not and when the water that was left in the refrigerator system froze over the winter it expanded and broke something inside. I was able to disconnect the water line to the refrigerator and cap it off so we could continue camping and notified National RV of the problem. They told me that their policy is that if the unit is winterized that late in the year that they do not take responsibility for damage. I told them that the camper had been in use up to the time that I took it in to them and was working fine at that point but they continued to deny being responsible. This makes no sense because if they had actually attempted to put antifreeze into the refrigerator and it was already broken it would have leaked antifreeze into the camper from the refrigerator at that time. I would advise anyone that may be considering having service work done at National RV to reconsider. The service technicians are careless and incompetent, the management staff is rude and discourteous. (The manager raised her voice and argued with me.) read more

We purchased our RV from National RV in 2014. We have been very impressed since that time. In the last few weeks we bacame aware that Dan, either a new owner or manager has taken over things. He cares a great deal for the experience of each customer. We have been very happy with both the repaires from an accident (our fault) and also with warrenty work. I would recommend giving National RV a try, particularly with the new attention in the service department. While I recognize that other reviewers struggled with "weeds" in the back lot and inattention to financing, our experiences have been very different. We found our "back lot" shopping for a used camper to be just fine even though we ultimately ended up buying a new camper. The financing department was also in excellent contact daily with our valid email and phone numbers. read more
