The service all around was great. They still deliver a $50k RV w wrappers in sofa, filthy A/C screens, some torn window screens. Hide a few, but do better in making it look new for $50k; come on. Our experience with Camping World has been incredibly frustrating. We purchased a camper on 06/06 and have yet to use it even once due to multiple unresolved issues. When we picked it up, it was closing time and all of the shop staff had already left, leaving us unsure whether to wait or just leave. From that point on, we've been in limbo. We were never given a power cord--an essential item--which they claimed would be mailed to us. As of 06/17, we still haven't received it. After getting the camper home, we discovered several problems and spent an entire day trying to speak with someone, only to be repeatedly brushed off. Thankfully, the receptionist, Sammy, finally stepped in and helped us get the camper dropped off that same evening. It wasn't until later that one staff member called to apologize for how he spoke with my husband--admitting they "got off on the wrong foot" and that he wasn't aware of all the issues we were dealing with, despite several employees at Camping World already knowing. The lack of communication and follow-through has been unacceptable. We're incredibly disappointed and would not recommend this location based on our experience so far. read more

I dropped my camper off September 29th for winterization and a few small warrantee items. It's now December 4th and it's not finished. The were nice enough to call the other day and notify me that my Cummins Onan 400 generator was stolen. Most definitely an inside job. There was ZERO damage to the generator compartment (they used a key) and it's not as if the generators are small. It had to take 2 people to get it out!! Do NOT bring your RV here. These people are rude and have no idea what they are doing. They cause more damage than repairs. They left 20 gallons of fresh water in our tank and didn't even tell us when we picked up. They also used the toilet and our whole camper smelled horrible. Not to mention, the issues that we brought it there for were unresolved. After a month of it sitting, supposedly waiting on parts, we found out that they "forgot to order the parts". Since it was mid summer we just wanted it back so we could use it. They actually tried to charge us for diagnosing a problem that we told them about when we brought it there, and a repair to our AC that wasn't broken. They didn't know how to turn on the AC and called my husband to tell them it wasn't working. This is only a 2 year old RV. It's pretty scary that they can't even figure that out. We refused to pay and got it out of there as fast as possible. We also found mouse scat in our kitchen drawers, which we have NEVER had before, leaving me to believe that they were probably leaving the door open. This was our second bad experience here after purchasing our RV here last year (brand new) we discovered water damage and realized the wall paper was different on the wall so they must have known about it, but did not tell us. After bringing it in, it stayed there for 2 months while they waited for parts to come in. It totally ruined our summer. They could have let us use it during this time but kept assuring us it would be "any day now". I don't usually do this, but we have had the absolute WORST experience with Camping World in Chichester. My camper has been in their parking lot waiting for service for more days that it has been camping. They give false turn around times and their communication is non-existent. They lost our registration saying we didn't give them it, until they found it and gave it back. Once they fix the seals that ripped LAST AUGUST which they can't seem to get the part #'s right - we will NEVER go back. When we dropped it off this past Tuesday, they promised it would be done in 1 day and they would act like we were waiting for it. I made it clear that I had plans to use it this weekend. I emailed them for an update, then called because no one replied per usual, and after sitting on hold for literally 10 minutes, they let me know that it hasn't even been brought in to the shop. Do not buy a used camper from here ever. Let me tell you about my situation. I purchased a 2014 Ford Chateau 24C in late Aug of 2023. I had to wait 5 weeks to get the camper fixed due to the AC not working. When I finally got the camper back it was a little too late to use it. So, I placed it in a storage unit for the winter. When I picked it up during Memorial weekend to go camping, I realized the cab AC was still not working. I was a little upset, but figured it was a used camper and Camping world would fix it since I haven't used it since I purchased it. The mileage from when I bought it to when I dropped it off would have confirmed that. I decided to complete the inspection a little early and get them to honor the agreement they first made with me to fix the AC as part of the sales agreement. The did schedule me an appointment with Grappone Ford Service for a couple weeks out. I though this is great they are going to honor their commitment to me when I bought the Camper. Again, I have not used it until that Memorial Day weekend and when I dropped it off. I assumed since I have not used it they would assist me in getting it fixed. Grappone ford stated that there were several holes in the air-conditioner evaporator. Now this is several holes, which would not appear over a winter while in storage. They refused to fix it under the we owe you statement on their purchase order. Lucky, I had a service warrantee that I spent 8400.00 on to fix this issue. Bottom line DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I was thinking about buying a brand-new class B camper later this year which will cost me over 140,000.00, but I will not ever buy from them again. Just so you know, I have a Doctorate in Management with a concentration in Organizational leadership, so I definitely know when I see good business practices and when I do not. This company is solely looking out for their bottom line and not their customers. Just be aware of that. They will be totally nice to you until you sign then not care about you. The funny thing is the money wasn't even the issue. It's the fact that they wouldn't even take care of an issue that they promised me on the we owe you paperwork once I purchased the unit. She asked twice if I was looking for a bed insert camper, and told me they may have some used ones and again I explained what I was going to do. I tried explaining I was looking for some accessories: bed, cooler/fridge, stoves, storage things like that. She told me to fill out a contact card and maybe someone in the service department could help. You are asking someone to divulge a lot of personal information that I wouldn't consensually give to a cop, nevermind a clerk in a camping store. They only want to finance with their bank for a much higher interest rate. If you notice something with the rig you are buying that needs work on they will tell you that you are wrong, only to find out after you leave the lot with it that you were right. Depending on where you live, pray the weather does not prevent them from showing you everything. Get a third party inspection. Imagine taking your first trip and find all the major broken things like Roof, Fridge, Jacks, you know the important stuff. I was given an appointment for 9:00 AM June 20th for a 6 hour repair. Before I even arrived I was asked to push it back to 10:30. I never heard back from them. No update calls. No return calls when I tried to find out the status of my RV. Not Monday, not Tuesday so I drove in. Repairs hadn't been started and they could not give me assurances they would be started Wednesday. I reached out to the Service Manager who replied "It will be done Wednesday." It was not. Once again I never heard from them. Not even the courtesy of a phone call. On Thursday I again drove in. It was the only way to get to talk to someone and find out what was going on. Part of the repairs were done. (The wrong part was sent by the vendor.) I was asked to bring it back the following Tuesday to complete the job. Tuesday, June 28th my repairs were finally completed. Horrible customer service! Horrible communication! read more

The issue was that my brand new camper which had to have a replacement toilet installed during my final walkthrough/demo was leaking and not properly secured. For reasons I don't quite understand, the pandemic of 2020 / 2021 has resulted in a lot of people buying boats, campers, motorcycles and other 'toys.' Every one of the dealerships I have dealt with in these industries have reported overwhelming volumes of customers looking for purchases and service along with significant delays in vendors supplying new equipment as well as parts. I inherited a very new travel trailer in the fall of 2020 and started looking for places to get both warranty service as well as state inspection completed. Living in southern NH, I first visited the nearest Campers Inn RV showroom facility about a 15 minute drive from my home. I was greeted upon arrival but then had a hard time getting assistance from anyone in the service department. They did not appear busy but even after standing at the counter for about 10 minutes, they could not ask me what I wanted or needed. I left, and then tried calling 3 more times over the next couple weeks. Each time, I was directed to the Service Dept voicemail where I left a message with my phone number and desire to schedule an inspection. After no returned calls, I decided to search for another location. I found Camping World of NH in Chichester New Hampshire. I placed a phone call and was greeted warmly and immediately. I was routed to the service department where my call was answered by a live body who was incredibly helpful. As a new RV owner, I had some questions and they took the time to answer all of them. I easily scheduled my inspection for the next week. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and quickly by Kelsey Campbell of the Service Team. She explained the inspection process, collected the required information and then did a quick pre-checkin exterior inspection of the travel trailer. I could have waited but opted to return 24 hours later. While in the store - I looked at the very large selection of parts, accessories and options available for purchase. One of the parts specialists took the time to explain that one of the things I was interested in was not currently in stock and then proceeded to tell me other locations I could get the item, including both online and competing sources. He was trying to help me solve my problem quickly and NOT looking to reach into my wallet to make a sale that he would have trouble delivering on. When I returned to pick up the travel trailer I was able to complete the payment process and get on my way quickly. Everybody I encountered seemed genuinely interested in answering my questions and helping. The end result is that I will return to Camping World in Chichester NH for my future RV needs. It will take me an hour or more to get there, passing a competitor that is only 15 minutes from my home. It may be less convenient for me but I know that I will be treated well by a helpful, professional and courteous staff at the Chichester facility. read more

Service had our camper for 5 months and never fixed anything. When I came to pick it up they charged me storage and winterizing but said the problems were no longer under warranty. if there was a zero I would use it bought our brand new 2022 couger on June 18th. July 18th got it to our first trip and second we got there power wouldn't work a/c was leaking washer dryer hook up was leaking gray water was leaking called them and they said they couldn't help of for 6 weeks. luckily the camp ground helped us get power and we put buckets up to catch the water. ( we would have been better off in a tent ). 6 weeks later we drop it off for repairs and point out how since its been 6 weeks since we pointed it out there was ow water damage to the wood. well it's now been sitting there 2 months and they still have not made any repairs to it. I called today to ask if atleased since they have had it much longer than originally quoted would they include winterizing it. I was told they would not include the winterizing. I also mentioned how the truck I pull it with is going into winter storage in a couple weeks and I wouldn't have a way to pull it home and was told when they were done if there is snow and salt on the ground I would have to get my 110k truck out of storage and bring it home. I am not about to run 200k in equipment on salted roads. the reason I went to camping world in the beginning was because their support for military and nascar because I'm military and a nascar fan but I guess that's just a front. I was also told several times they would email me statuses even after phone calls but I have yet to receive any emails from them and I have to initiate any calls. read more

I bought a used Winnabago two weeks ago. I spent $70,000 I drove it thirty miles to my home. Today I tried to start it and it was dead. I checked the batteries and connections, no luck. I called Camping world and got the run around. They told me the only thing they would do was send a road Mechnic to my house at $175 per hour including drive time. After pleading my case the woman on the phone told me she was hanging up and was done speaking to me.. I work very hard for my money. $70,000 is a huge amount of money to my family. We are now stuck with a motorhome that we can't use.,, I wish we had not bought from Camping world. I am sick about how they treated me and how they tried to charge me $175 per hour.... They also tried to add interest points to the loan jacking up the payment $180 more per month, after I told them to forget the deal they miraculously found room to come down to close to the original payment they quoted me. We purchased in January, 2022 with the understanding that they would store it in their area until we were ready to pick up. We were told to give them a couple days notice. We called 3 weeks ago and were told that someone would get it ready and call us back. We have now emailed several times. Called numerous more times. We had camping world inspect our campers roof on site, paid $175 for the road call, our roof sustained damage over the winter and their technician inspected and photographed the damage for our insurance company, we even went to Chichester, NH to visit Camping World to get information, we spoke to our tech and felt good about his explanation however he said he'll would text us 10 minutes after we left with contact information after over 2 weeks we haven't heard anything, and I truly believe nothing was sent to our insurance company, makes me wonder how can you operate a business who doe not care about the customer. read more

I was on vacation in the area and the doorknob on my camper bathroom broke so I figured Camping World was my best hope of a getting a replacement. I was met at the door by a salesperson who directed me to the store/parts department. I was then met at the door by the anther salesperson who quickly informed me that was nothing they carried and then moved on. I decided to look around while I was there and they had many items. As I was leaving the salesperson in the camper sales are checked to see if I found what I was looking for. He suggested two other locations down the street which might be able to help me. Camping World of Chichester's service department has left us mad, stolen from us, and left us unsure of the safety of our camper! We brought our TT in for service on April 10th after purchasing it here last spring and discussed with both our "Service Advisor" and the tire sales tech our expectations. We are taking our TT across the country this summer, and need it to be done right. After 6 weeks with them we picked it up, and the laundry list of things that were not done, not done right, or are just plain stupid keeps growing! We asked to have a TPMS system installed, with the stems being installed in the tires (we also bought new tires) and we would mount the display. Not only didn't they bother to install the stems, but they also forgot to give us the system when we left despite charging us for it! We had to call the store to get a refund after they stole from us! They noted on their 45 multi-point inspection we needed a new water heater anode rod. Ours was left out after winterizing, and we authorized them to install a new one. Not only did they forget to install the new one, but they also noted in their de-winterization process that they filled and they put "water in the water heater". An outright lie, as the anode was still out! Worse yet, they are the ones that left a bad anode rod in it last year when they serviced it! The attached picture was taken when we finally figured out why we had no hot water, days after we brought it home and weeks after they put "water in the water heater". They left our sink full of mouse droppings (there were no mouse droppings anywhere when we left it) and never once swept the floor or wiped their feet. Not a big deal given they couldn't fix a water heater, but still, folks, have some pride. We had a flat tire this spring and installed our spare for travel. We purchased 4 new tires and asked that they be put on the 4 stock rims, and the spare tire be left with the original "China Bomb" and put back in its storage location. They mounted one of the new tires right on the spare tire rim, leaving our 4 rims for travel mis-matched. Clearly, not only were those instructions not followed, their tire guy is not a car guy, or simply doesn't care? They disassembled our bathroom vent fan to try and fix it but could not. Instead of at least giving me all my parts back, they kept them and we now have a completely inoperable fan. Thanks! There is a complete lack of communication among their team. We discovered the missing water heater anode rod when we were boondocking, leaving us for 3 days without hot water. We called first thing on a Monday and spoke with Audra(?) in service, who was not our usual "Service Advisor" Kelsey, and she offered to tell Kelsey about our frustration and have her call us. She also stated "enough is enough of this stuff!" out loud on the phone to my wife, showing her frustration as well with their techs. On Tuesday, we called again to speak with Kelsey, who had not heard anything about our issue. She then asked if we could just install it ourselves because they had not charged us for it. After finally speaking Wednesday with the Service Department Manager (after several calls and messages left for him) he offered the same advice, we should buy one and install it. We also paid them to repack our bearings and inspect our breaks and entire rig, and are now honestly worried about having more and worse issues on our trip. What cost us over $2,000 (and our Good Sam insurance almost $1,000) and we hoped would be a great experience with a professional team has left us worried Camping World will leave us broken down in the middle of nowhere. read more

Would give no stars if I could. The sales was easy. Other then that it went down hill, I had a problem with the gfi and they fixed that. But it keeps going from bad to worse. The awning broke and won't retract. We went to a race in New Hampshire and then a week vacation before heading back to Connecticut. We stopped in about fixing the awning and was told they couldn't fix at that time. I was worried the awning would rip of while driving to the camp site. Had to roll up by hand then tied it off and prayed. After getting to the camp site the drawer in the kitchen broke, I don't what will break next. The camper is only 2 months old and this first time out with it. The service department suck. I would not recommend camper world to anyone if this is how they treat customers who spent lots of money on a new 2020 Coleman camper. I'd give negative stars if I could. Brought our brand new 2022 Winnebago there for warranty work last summer. They kept it for over 2 months so there went our summer camping. Warranty work was not completed properly either. We wound up having to have them winterize it because it was sitting outside even though we had already paid for climate controlled storage for the winter at another facility . This spring we pulled our camper out of storage and brought it up there for the remainder of the warranty/recall repairs (we were told by Winnebago that the repair should take under five days). It's been SEVEN weeks!! we've called and called and called and "Don" at Camping World refuses to return our calls. Horrible customer service! read more

They never return calls and all you get in put on hold and a promise for a call back. Got the classic bait and switch - $120K via email - "oh it's a year older so $88K" when in person (Driving 1 hour to get there from northern NH) despite the miles being right and them having a copy of the VIN, title and registration clearly showing the year. Got them with enormous effort and talking to many people up to $107K but still incredibly frustrating. David Holman should either be fired for incompetence or rewarded with a bonus for screwing a customer out of a final $13K. A "1" is too high a rating but it is the lowest I could give. My husband and I bought a camper last year the purchase went pretty smooth. we took our first camping trip in July got all set up Friday after noon that Sunday we heard a hurricane warning so as my husband was tilting the awning to get the water off before we closed the awning the arm snapped and hit my husband in the head. The rest of our camping trip we had no awing called camping world to see what we could do to get it fixed they told us to call good Sam so we we did and got no help. We had to bungee tie the arm to the side of the awning to get the camper home. The insurance adjuster came by and sent in a claim. We got a call and asked to bring the camper to the Chichester location to get the awning fixed. My husband dropped off the camper mid August got a quote from the insurance company then we sat and waited to hear if the camper was fixed weeks went by with nothing from camping world finally my husband called and was told the part hasn't come in yet. Then we got a call sometime in October and said they were going to charge us for winterizing the camper ummm no how about fix the damn thing and we will come and get it we'll it's not fixed still. Now three weeks ago my husband gets a text saying that if we don't get the camper within the next to weeks they will charge storage fees ok I don't think so. So now my husband takes the time to go down there to get the camper and he asked a few questions about the ac and heat in the camper to make sure everything thing is I. working order before he drags it back home and we get stuck with a broken camper again when we go on our trip in a month, we'll low and behold the furnace doesn't work and they want to charge us over 300 bucks to fix it, I don't think so we used the camper for 10 days before we brought it in to fix the awning and we never used the heater so why do we have to pay to fix it if we never even touched it so they sold us a broken camper and I feel as if we should not have to pay for something we never even used. This place sucks so as soon as we get the camper back after they fix a broken furnace that we never used we will never ever do business with company again and I am telling everyone I know how shitty this company is. I want a name and number to call the CEO or owner or someone to speak to because I should not have to pay for this repair. read more

Attitude of parts department guy stinks. A sign on the shelves says to see an associate to learn more about product. We had to practically beg the guy to come look at the product, since he was obviously not familiar with it off the top of his head. He was so reluctant to help, then failed to listen to our goal. Described by other staff as their expert, he was ignorant and argumentative. Instead of making an $800 purchase, we left. He was like "whatever dude " One star because negative 10 stars isn't a ratings choice. Go somewhere else. read more

I had a large fuel tank (Titan fuel tank) put into my F250 Diesel. They broke the fuel supply line and tried to glue it. I got home and fuel was spraying on the ground. I took it to Ford the next day and they showed me the sending unit where they tried to repair it. Ford had to replace the sending unit. I called Camping world and they said they would reimburse me for the 389 dollar labor. 3 years later and I'm still waiting for the check. Don't use them if you value your vehicle. That wasn't the only problem we had there, that is another story. They deserve Zero stars as I have seen other people post. read more

This was our first visit to Chichester location. The sales person was very nice; relatable and seemed genuine enough. Then, we get inside and he starts talking credit to us. I have been in auto financing for over a decade, and started talking about terms and criteria, when the finance "Director", Matt, came out and literally confronted and tried to intimidate me as a senior citizen. Give me a break! I tried to go into his office to talk to him, but not after he put down his sales person saying "he doesn't know anything about finance", and then insinuating that I didn't, either. I took his card and will continue a complaint with BBB and Attorney General. That's how bad this was. He said "You have to leave now"....my son, a veteran, was with me and was very upset the way his mother was being talked to....honestly, it's truly amazing these people remain in business. The front showroom staff was great, as was the sales person. Oh yes, and I'm 5'3", 67 years old, and they had me followed out of the showroom. HONESTLY? And, btw, I personally didn't need any financing. Way to go, Finance Director. I asked if there were any other finance managers, and he said 2. Then he proceeded to say "they are both busy. You need to leave." EXCELLENT interpersonal skills: NOT. Do not go here, it was a nightmare! Not to mention there were little children with us. read more

This place is absolutely awful. We came when it were raining and all the employees explained that they lock the models when it rains because they don't get much business... never mind that WE are business standing right in front of you. So us and the other couples that were browsing only got to see a portion of the models because we had the poor sense to come to a business during its hours, but while it's raining. Ridiculous. No one once endeavored to unlock the models for the customers. It was just: it's raining, too bad, sucks to suck. Secondly there is no information about specs or pricing ANYWHERE in the models. They'll give you brochures in the shop, so you can cross reference the models with your half dozen brochures. May as well just stay home, or use your phone to find out specs and retail values. What a waste of a drive and time I'll never get back. I will definitely not be purchasing an RV here. read more

We had an excellent experience at this camping world! We purchased our RV from B.J. Who was so knowledgeable, patient and understood our needs and wants directing us to the best RV for our needs. We purchased a class A and have not looked back. We did have to have a couple things fixed after the purchase, we had a tough time getting calls back at first but when we made contact and brought the RV in we had excellent service and communication. No complaints from us! read more
