I am writing this review to formally express my deep frustration and concern regarding the condition and ongoing service delays related to my brand-new Shasta by Forest River I-5 Series camper, which I purchased on September 29, 2024, from Camping World, located at 8000 Park Blvd N, Pinellas Park, FL 33714. I purchased this camper urgently due to the impact of the 2024 hurricane season and personal circumstances. Like many others in our area, I needed immediate housing. My salesperson, Summer, was helpful and professional, and I was hopeful I had made the right choice. However, issues began almost immediately. Upon delivery and setup at Bickley RV Park, I noticed movement in the camper. With the help of a neighbor, I discovered a bent left jack. Not long after, the right front jack also became bent. I then experienced electrical issues, including non-functioning under-storage lights, and most alarmingly, a major water leak that spread across the camper floor, reaching my bedroom. I also discovered the fuse panel latch keeps opening on its own. I took the camper to Camping World for service in December 2024. The technician acknowledged the leak, jack issues, fuse panel latch, and lighting problems. They also confirmed water damage to the floor and wall--something extremely concerning given my multiple health conditions that could be worsened by mold or mildew. I contacted Camping World numerous times over the following months with little to no progress or communication: 12/28/24: No updates on parts or repairs. 2/17/25: I was told parts were approved and ordered. 3/19/25: Still no parts. 3/26/25: I was told the wrong parts had been ordered. 4/2/25 & 4/11/25: Continued lack of communication. 5/2/25: I was locked inside my camper. I have video evidence of this. 5/6/25: I was again trapped inside, and had to call roadside assistance. A locksmith had to grind the door frame to prevent this from happening again. 5/10/25: I came home to find the A/C unit not working, leaving my dogs inside a hot camper in Florida. Camping World told me to find a mobile service tech, which I cannot afford. At this point, I was met with dismissiveness and misinformation, including being told that my warranty had expired, which is false. I also spoke with Anthony, the General Manager, to express my distress. While I did use a curse word out of frustration to describe my situation, I did not curse at him personally. He responded by hanging up on me, which was unprofessional and deeply upsetting. I then visited the store in person with my friends, Todd and Lori. I was in tears. The front desk staff were kind, but no one--not even Bob Stone, the service manager--took the time to pull up my file or offer a private space to discuss my situation. Anthony never came out to apologize. I bought this unit brand new from your location and have received months of delays, dismissals, and no solutions. I believe many of these issues may be due to the campers being exposed to two hurricanes before being sold. read more

This is only my second Yelp review ever, and as someone who has never purchased an RV before, I was honestly nervous going in. I went with my boyfriend, who has some RV experience, and even though we hit a few financial hiccups, the General Manager, Joe, completely turned the whole experience around. Joe was incredibly pleasant, attentive, and truly went above and beyond. He guided me through every step, found me the best deals, and kept me updated nonstop with what was happening with the bank. I genuinely don't think I would've been able to purchase my RV without his help. I HIGHLY recommend this Camping World location over any others. I had bad experiences elsewhere, but once I found this location, everything changed. They earned my trust, and I'm so grateful for the amazing service! If you want it even more energetic, more emotional, or more concise, I can shape it however you like. read more

No stars for this company or their service department. ( had to select one just to post) but they don't deserve any stars!! Worst service ever! they have had our camper for 6 months now and counting. Brought for service and not only did they screw that up, they wrecked our trailer and ruined the inside of our camper. No one calls to give updates or answers their phones. Their corporate office does nothing to help, no calls from anyone. I will NEVER recommend this company for any service needs. if we ever get our camper BACK, we will never bring it to you again! first off I wish I could give this place zero stars, the service department is the worst service department I've ever dealt with in my life for anything that I've ever had to have fixed. Went on-line looking for an RV/camper service center and found Camping World website. They had an area to make an appointment online. It's a much closer drive than other RV center so I requested an appointment for maintenance of my 5th wheel last week. I then got an email telling me that someone would be contacting me shortly. No one contacted me. The email read if I had any questions to send an email to the provided email. I did as such and again no response. However, now that they have my email they have managed to send me 5 emails advertising upcoming sales and products. Some products that require installation. Which is interesting since you can't seem to make an appointment for service and/or installation. I now wonder if they do ever respond, what kind of service and communication I should expect? read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My experience with Forest River RV has been absolutely unacceptable. I have been trying to finalize my GAP insurance payout for a brand-new RV (with zero miles on it) that was destroyed by Hurricane Milton back on October 9th, 2024. It's now been months, and I'm still stuck making payments on something I don't even have anymore -- all because Forest River and their finance department refuse to do their part. Quincey in finance (866-352-4053) has been completely unprofessional. I have sent multiple emails over the past three weeks with no responses whatsoever. Every time I call, he is either "out of the office" or "not available." There is no accountability, no communication, and no urgency from anyone at Forest River RV. It's absolutely shameful that a company would treat their customers like this, especially after upselling all these extra insurance add-ons and services. I trusted Forest River RV with a major purchase -- and now I'm paying the price for their incompetence. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and financial nightmare. We went to look around today. It is supposed to be their grand opening weekend. We walked the lot for 25 minutes and not one sales person came out and talked to us. We walked in the building and the girl at the front door said hi. Not one person, came up to us when in the showroom to see if we needed assistance Not ever going back! Worse customer service. I bought a RV, and they say one thing and do the other. I'm rather go to another RV place next time. This is the one in Pinellas Park. That place is too croud. If you still want to go, make sure that they show you some other RVs. Don't stick with just 2. See other options. read more

Terrible experience. Purchased a used 5th wheel RV. I was told by the salesman, Marc Salerno, the unit would be cleaned thoroughly and all discrepencies would be fixed. Unit was delivered with dead batteries preventing auto levelers from working, massive water leak in plumbing, push-outs and awnings inoperable and the entire RV was filthy. Multiple calls and text messages to salesman went unanswered, I asked to speak to the sales manager and was told he was busy. I then requested to speak to the GM and was told he was also busy but would call me back. He never did. The only bright spot was the service dispatcher, Jeannie. She was awesome in getting a technician dispatched to get the unit somewhat operational. I do not recommend Camping World, Pinellas Park. read more

Very, very disappointed with this company's service department at the Seminole, FL location. They just keep giving me the run around, our camper has been there for over 40 day's! They're supposed to replace the wiper motor,which they received the wrong part. Every day we've gone in to see what's going on with it, and the answer we get is we will call you!! Never received a call back from them at all!! Even called the corporate office and received the same useless information from them. So we took it upon ourselves to contact Fleetwood parts department and was told by them, they have 6 available to send out ( would take about 3 days to receive). We have been told by camping world that it would take at least a week to get it. But they received the wrong part!! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone interested in a camper, unless you want a run around and NO returned calls!! We just want to go camping with our purchased camper, not to be told they'll get back to us!! GO ELSEWHERE because it seems as soon as you purchase one, they want nothing to do with you! read more

Do not take your RV to Camping World in Pinellas Park, Fl. We took our coach in for repairs in November of 2024. It took them 3 months to get parts and get our coach back to us. Their communication was horrible. Despite the long wait they had people using our RV like it was their home. Our black and grey tanks were empty when we took it to them, and when we returned home, they were full. Our coach was filthy like they had drove through a mud pile and we had water damage under our kitchen sink. After reaching out customer service they told us to bring our coach back to their shop so they can address our concerns. How can we drop off our coach after this experience. Customer service told us that us that someone from the store called us, but we have no messages or missed calls from the store. Be careful when dropping off your personal property and make sure you take pictures. I have before and after pictures. read more
