They were no help with getting our camper window repaired. They charged $99 to look at the camper for 20 seconds and tried to charge a $1000 to replace the whole window frame. Travel camp was who we purchased our camper from but they went out of business and this company took over. They will sure sell you a camper but no help with getting repairs. I don't know where we will have to drive to for maintenance or how far we will have to travel but it will not be back to camping world in Pooler! read more

We recently had some warranty work done at Camping World (Rvs.com) in Pooler GA. I wanted to make you aware of the terrible experience we had at that location. It started with their dishonesty. They initially told us that Jayco had denied all the claims we were concerned about, and that we would have to pay. A week or so later, I was able to get a hold of Jayco customer service and was told that as of that time, Camping World had not submitted any claims on our behalf. After another week or two of runaround from Camping World, and them still saying the claims were denied, (and another call to Jayco to see if they submitted claims, and they hadn't) I informed Camping World that Jayco had no records of the claims being filed. After another week or so, Camping World informed us that some of our claims had now been approved. They supposedly ordered the parts. When the parts didn't arrive by the day we needed our camper back, we went to pick it up and would return it after our trip and once the parts were there. Upon picking our camper up, we paid the $600 for the roof protection plan that we agreed to and went to hook up our camper. We immediately noticed the roof was filthy and crusty and that the cleaning and sealing had not been done. In addition to this, the camper was parked at the end of the dead end street the dealer is on, outside the fence. Every door and storage bin was unlocked, even the gas pump door that was locked (why?). Every light inside was left on, and the radio was left on. When we dropped it off, everything was off and every door and latch was locked. The battery was so dead, the jacks wouldnt retract. After trying to get some power from the 7 pin connector on my truck, I finally got the jacks up after about 45 minutes. Once home, I plugged into our 50 amp service to try to charge the battery. After a week, the battery still couldn't extend the jacks so I could hook up. The battery had to be replaced due to Camping Worlds negligence. The radio would also not work properly. Likely due to the extreme low voltage of the battery, It kept scanning and doing things on its own. I was able to get it working for now by attempting a factory reset of the radio. Once they had the parts and after our trip, we returned the camper so they could replace the gray tank valve and the awning arm. Upon going to pick up the camper after service, they left the camper unlocked and unsecured out on the street again, and caused more damage to our camper. The breakaway emergency braking switch was pulled down away from the camper and was hanging there, while installing the awning arm they scratched the side of our camper and nicked some of the vinyl decals, and there is a loose piece of weatherstripping at the top of the awning that is just flapping around now. The incompetence and negligence of this dealer is astounding. We refuse to bring our camper back to Camping World out of fear that they will cause further damage to our expensive firth wheel. *Reply to "Customer Care"* If you really cared, these problems wouldn't have gotten to the point to where I have to warn potential customers that their camper will likely be damaged if they bring it to Camping World. I understand that accidents happen, but not EVERY time. Not only with our current camper, but with our previous one as well. EVERY time any of our campers have been at Camping World of Pooler, they were damaged due to the carelessness of employees. read more

I have just bought a fifth wheel from this location. The only reason I gave them one star is because there's nothing lower. Initially they showed me and sold me the wrong RV. After all the paperwork was approved all I had to do was come back in and sign it then they call me two days later and say oh that unit belong to one of our customers it was not ours to sell. Now I have to assume some responsibility for anything that happened after this point because you could obviously see it coming but they did have a unit that I wanted so I decided to go ahead and try to do business there. Huge mistake. After sitting there all day long during the buying process and I mean literally all day long when I actually got the unit home all the repairs that they were supposed to be affecting we're simply not done so why did they make me sit there all day I have no idea. Now let's talk about lying you know lie is a deliberate effort to deceive someone. I wanted to Define terms here these people are liars, they will deliberately tell you anything to get their way or to get you to go away. Once you are gone they are done with you I have attempted to communicate with these people for 2 weeks now and I cannot get a return phone call. I cannot stress enough if you see their lips moving they are lying to you. I specifically asked about the air conditioning on this thing I estimate eight different times and I was reassured oh yes we check them they are fine, nothing wrong, absolutely perfectly running units. Well when I finally plug it in guess what neither one work and it's easy to tell that they never check them because I hired a guy to come and check them and they were full of debris from like a squirrel nest , rats nest or something. Obviously they were never checked and they never ran when they had this unit plugged in when they were supposedly giving it an inspection. There was a water leak and had three different people working on the water leak of course when I got home it was still leaking and I had to fix it myself. Once again I cannot stress enough if these people are talking to you they are lying to you. I don't mean just one this is my experience with sales with service with the sales manager so I don't recommend this place to do anything for anybody just stay away there cannot be a worse place to conduct business. Camping world took 2-3 months to even order parts and here it is October and our camper is not having electrical issues. I had a really good experience at this Camping World today. I went there before they opened in order to use their free RV dump and fill my water tank. While I was doing that many employees were arriving for the morning and were really nice. Then I went in the store to look around and was asked a few times if I needed anything. There should be a negative side to the rating scale!!! -10 in my book!! Had our camper for about 6 months and got a leak in the kitchen sink which in turn ruined the bottom of the island. We purchased the "extended warranty" when we bought it for around 5K because we were ensured that it would cover ANY damage within the listed time frame of warranty. So we called an informed them of the issue and could never get a response...so after 2 months of trying to get someone to help us we went to them. It was then they informed us that the warranty would replace the faucet only!! Really!? So I asked "So you're telling me that if this had caused my island to fall through the floor you would still only replace the faucet?" He looked at me and said YES! This is the worst place to get an appointment for service. I would give it no stars if I could. I have been trying for the last 4 months to get service appointment. Always the same when I call... "all of our service agents are busy can I have your name and number and someone will call you back". I did receive a call back once and when I asked for an appointment I was told "I'll call you back to schedule a time". Still no call back weeks later! Are they selling that much junk their service department can't keep up. I have no idea how they can stay in business! I would advise you to take your business elsewhere. As of today still no calls from camping world from a brand new camper purchased on 8/23/21 as to repairs have not been done nor ordered when they was approved on the 16th .It has been lie after lie from service department and now won't even respond even though are camper is at there lot . They have the biggest malfunction conjunction going on in that service side like I told the gm if you gonna tell customers lies at least everyone keep there lies the same .Everyday are camper sits there because of not ordering parts it's costing hundreds of dollars a day at are expense and they could care less. Never would I of expected to purchase a new camper and be lied to and treated the way we have from them and corporate so be aware before you consider purchasing anything from them. Would not recommend for service. They had our rv for just short of 2 mths. Once they found out that roof had a very small hole and insurance approved replacement that was their entire focus. Very slow to get us prices for other repairs. We elected to get roof replaced elsewhere. When we questioned items on the bill, the bill actually increased because they forgot to add the cost of battery replacements. Seemed to double charge for diagnostic fees when replacing items on 22 point check list fixed the problem. Service manager did not come out to talk to us so we had to keep going through the frontline folks. Will drive further next time to avoid this business. read more

The folks here are very nice however that's where it ends. Brought our event in to be winterized before heading north after 6 glorious weeks exploring Florida beaches. The service writer was careful to write down our requests... simple; "please winterize our water lined by blowing them out and only using antifreeze in the traps... pretty simple. I provided instructions for this process printed by the dealer, which were simple and accurate. Upon picking up our rv, I discovered that antifreeze was put into the lines. I asked at the service desk about this. The tech stated that he did not read the intake form or the instructions. A simple 30 minute service was extend to several hours and a frustrating and inadequate service experience. Next time I will either do the service myself or find an independent shop to help us. read more

Camping World is Pooler has had my camper in for repairs since July, 2016. it is now June 17, 2017. I have been told again and again that I will be notified when it is ready. After the first several months of calling and leaving messages for a call back and hearing nothing, i went to Camping World, waited in line for 20 minutes, was told that there was no record of their having my camper. After voicing my concern loudly, it was found on the lot, and I was assured it was repaired. I arranged to have it picked up the next day, arrived paid my bill, hooked up, checked the power steps and discovered they had not been replace or repaired per first order. I returned to service desk where they were "surprised" that the steps were not repaired, and upon investigation discovered it had never been checked, that they need replacement and would have to be ordered and paid for in advance.... I did! I asked to be called when ready. Never a call!! Never a return call!! I have called again this morning, and after going thru a 3 step answering system and at each step be informed that the call might be recorded to assure customer service, I spoke to a pleasant person who informed me that she could take a message, but all service personnel were engaged. I left a message. We'll see. I do, and should, feel like a fool for letting this go on and on, but I have physical problems that prevent some independence. Not much of an excuse, but it's all i've got. read more

I am aware that this rant will go unnoticed by those in charge. Went to the CW with 3 problems: 1. Leak in a hose from the power steering unit. 2. The a/c didn't on heat or cool 3. The front furnace didn't work Five weeks later they called to say it was ready to go. A new a/c unit, a new motherboard in the furnace, and a new hose on the steering unit that cost $800. With labor (ha ha) and parts the bill was more than $3000.! He only thang working is the steering! BEWARE! This is my first letter of many to come. read more

Our sales person and finance were great. They would get 4 stars. Service would get 0. They are no help. No one seems to know anything including how long a repair will take. As for getting our refund on the GAP insurance after 5 months we are still waiting. So that is a 0 also. Customer service after the sale is mon existent. No one seems to be in the office when you call. No one calls back when you leave your number. When you keep calling the phone person is very apologetic but you still get no response. I am so mad right now that you can't give ZERO stars. I had a vehicle and a trailer. There was something going on with the truck. I do not live in the area, so I made arrangements with CW to look at the trailer and truck. I gave them my keys and told them that I would be back in the area in two weeks. I said "There may be something wrong with the transmission, so could you please look at it right away!" They said they would go grab it the next day. I called a few days later to follow up and they said they never got to it. The worst part is that they kept telling me that they would get to it right away. If I had known that 2 weeks later when I arrived, they would have not looked at it still, I would tried to get someone else. Unfortunately, I showed up 2 weeks later and they never did look at it. It ended up costing me $150 to rent a rental car for the weekend and another $500 to rent a U-Haul to get my trailer to the next location for my business. I have used CW in the past, and I have used them since then. However, I wouldn't walk in the Savannah CW door if it was the last store available. read more

I own an older 2004 motorhome after having an issue with the slide I went to Camping world hoping to get service. I was told they don't normally do any service on campers over 10 years old. They got all the information on the unit which is still being manufactured by Gulfstream (bt cruiser 5270) and told me they would be able to help me and we made an appoitment for 3 weeks later. I brought the rv in to the shop as agreed where it sat for another 3 weeks when I received a call from the rep i thought great they have an idea on cost....nope they decided they would not fix the problem. I spoke with the service manager and was told we don't want to mess with it it is difficult to find people to work and this would be more trouble than I am willing to do so we are refusing to service your RV. now I have to find another service person who might be able to fix the issue which I could honestly fix given a shop to take it apart just cant do it in my driveway. This is my second horrible experience with Camping world Savannah and if this is how the corporation does business they deserve to be put out of business if this is just this store then the service manager needs to be fired and the position given to someone who understands customer service. read more

I do not recommend Camping World to anyone EVER. We purchased a camper from the Savannah location and we were told lie after lie about the service, what was around with our camper and how long it would take to do the repairs. An arrangement was made for us to go to the Concord, NC location since it was closer to our home and the staff at this locations was just as bad. At one point we were told that they "found our camper"... they lost it??? Camping World has a huge internal disconnect and communication problem which in turn causes poor customer service. I hope for Camping World's sake they can get their internal Problems worked out so they can provide better customer service. Update after Camping World's comment below. My husband has sent Camping World's customer service multiple emails and had multiple phone calls with customer service. During negotiations and paperwork everyone was really friendly and acted as if they'd be willing to do most anything to make the customer happy. But, once I signed "on the dotted line" it was a complete 180 degree turn-around. Do NOT buy from this place. We bought a 2017 Heartland Mallard and it was the worst experience with no service after the sale. Let's start with the missing a/c register in the living room that the "service guy" thought I wouldn't notice he replaced with the one from my own bathroom (still haven't received the replacement...it's been almost a year). Apparently, they keep ordering the wrong part. Or they're straight up liars. A couple months after purchase, the heater started igniting and clicking and blowing at the same time as the air conditioner. It took an act of Congress to get the repair guy out to "fix" it (he found a live bare wire under our sink) AND guess what? We're now in below freezing weather and the stupid heater is at it again...and blowing COLD air non-stop. And of course we can't reach anyone anywhere to schedule warranty repair. I'm freezing my ass off and cursing CW Savannah for two straight days. read more

Our salesman, Collins was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He did not pressure us to make a decision and had a LOT of patience. Yes, for the first time in 1 1/2 years of ownership of our fifth wheel our last camping trip was a pleasure. The AC worked, the electronic leveling system was perfect. The TV worked with a Satalite connection. The dual batteries were hooked up correctly. What a pleasure! Thank you Camping World Savannah for making this the first time my husband and I did not leave to weekend without real anger. I would like to give Victoria and service department a giant knod of thanks. Tori was patient and took time to explain everything to us before we left the facility. That little extra made a huge difference. The only down point with the servicing time was that it took about 2 weeks longer than expected, but I will say...we were very satisfied and Camping World will be our point of service from this point forward. They were incredibly courteous and helpful, quickly solving the problem we had with our camper. Absolutely the worst customer service skills as the woman who answers the phone is about the rudest person I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to.....service department leaves a lot to be desired...dropped out rv off last Monday for them to find and repair 2 leak issues after not hearing from them the better part of the day we decided we'd drive over and see if they were finished they hadn't done anything at all!!!! Told my husband they could find nothing wrong so he had to show them where the issues were !!!! The next day they finally call late in the afternoon saying they were finished, as we were in the middle of a tornado watch we elected to pick it up the following morning...brought it back to our campsite and later that evening when my husband went to take a shower it was still leaking only now it was working we than when we brought it to them!!! Since Thursday I've called several times left several messages and gotten no response from them I've started a complaint with the headquarters office so we'll see if anyone can be bothered on that end...have also filed a complaint with the keystone warranty people as I'm not sure how getting paid for subpar work is acceptable...steer clear of this place if you can and go elsewhere...I wish we would have read the reviews first......nearly 2 weeks later and still no callbacks after we've called numerous times to get this situation taken care of.....absolutely horrendous customer service read more
