I had an agreement to look at a motorhome. Justin had been messaging me about it the prior day. He finding out date codes of tires and a few other things. It got to be end of the next day he never returned messages. I called spoke to a different salesman he wrote a contract for me to purchase motorhome. I told him I lived 3 hours away. He said they would hold it until I was able to see it. I notified the salesman I was going to be a little later because my kid had late start day at school. He never read my text until I got there. Coastal RV Center in Ravenel is exactly where you need to purchase an RV from. Let me explain. I purchased my 2024 GD from Campers Inn in Myrtle Beach. The main reason we went to Campers Inn is because they had the actual model that we were looking for. I really wish we would've took a harder look at Coastal RV Center on a different model because of the service and sales workforce. Why do I say that? I purchased a 2023 Dodge Ram from Idaho in January 2024. I purchased a ceramic coating and it came with a warranty. Coastal RV provided me that Warranty service and they did a "FABULOUS" job. I cannot overstate the importance of great customer service along with, after-the-fact service required for any warranty work. Didn't even purchase anything from Coastal, yet they provided me with superior customer service knowing that there's a chance I will come back to them in the future. I absolutely will!!!! We were traveling the area and had an issue with our electronic gages and our alarm was going off. Stop in at Coastal RV and they are normally booked out 3 months, and worked us in for the next morning. We needed a new electrical wiring harness. They called to search for one. After reviewing and making some adjustments they had us back on the road that same day. Wouldn't charge us sense they were unable to obtain a new harness in the timely manner to get us back on the road. Everything is working and no alarm going off. Friendly staff. In looking on RV Trader I found Coastal RV had the Class C RV that I had been trying to locate. Upon calling and talking Scott in sales I informed him that I was very interested in this used RV in talking with him the second time on the following day he suggested that I might want to put a down payment on it to hold so no one else would buy it and told me they would have it ready for pick up the following week. I purchased a tow dolly approx. 2.5 hrs. away from the dealership seeing the car I drove down doesn't have a tow hitch, the idea was my wife would drive the car following me to get the dolly and load the car up and on our way... Seven days later my wife and I drove 500 miles down there to purchase the RV knowing Scott would be off that day, upon arrival the RV was sitting at the rear of the store. We went and started going over the RV finding problem after problem. Cover over stove had a big chunk broken out of it, looked under the couch and it appeared to have never been cleaned, the TV in the bedroom did not have a remote control and manually turning it on had no signal, Cabinet above sink had obvious water leak from the roof and damage to the cabinet with wood separating. Went outside and got up to look at roof and found numerus locations where it had just been patched, came back inside and found moisture damage at a few of the window, Tried starting the generator and after a few tries it did finally start but would hardly run idling very ruff and cutting off . I finally said that was enough. leaving and driving 500 miles back home and having to make a return trip to South Carolina the following weekend with my pick up truck to pick up the tow dolly I had purchased the week before. Another 900 mile round trip. The only response I have received from Coastal RV was Sorry you wasted you time!!!! 34 Hrs. Driving and a few hundred dollars in gas and the purchase of a Tow Dolly, It was most definitely a waste of my time and Money !!!!!!! Rude! Stopped by on a Sunday. The gate was open, parked in a parking spot and just wanted to walk the parking lot with my wife to get her opinion on some of the RV's that I had been researching. We were met by an individual from the service department that told us to leave. We explained that we did not need to open any of the RV's just walk through the parking lot to get a feel for the size of the different models. Nope, please leave. Not sure what the situation was. My husband and I recently purchased our first diesel motorhome after having a gas motorhome. This diesel pusher was a few years old. Julian was our salesman and we cannot say enough good things about him! He was so kind, so helpful and answered any questions we had. He was so patient, too. His staff also was top notched! When you buy an RV from Coastal RV, they go through and check everything out for you. So, you know that the RV is in great condition when you are ready to drive away. They also put you up for two days at a nearby campground and check up on you everyday for as long as you need them. You can ask the staff anything, and they are so willing to answer your questions and make sure you understand everything. We just felt like the staff truly wanted to help you. We found a particular class A RV we really liked at Coastal RV. We were camping in Mt Pleasant SC & were only a 45 min drive away. We drove there on Friday & spent a good 2 to 2 1/2 hours looking at & talking to salesman Matthew. He gave us his terms & we said could we sleep on it, Matthew replied of course! We called him on Saturday morning & made an offer, a little less than their terms. He said he would get with his boss & call us on Monday. He did not call on Monday by 11:00 am so we called him. His boss Todd answered phone, i said we were in process of unhooking to drive our coach to drive there, we had decided we would just go with their terms. I barely had time to finish what I was saying before he informed me that they had sold it Saturday afternoon. I was floored!! So....needless to say I was extremely upset, salesman had blatantly lied to us, knowing it was already sold & telling us he would get back to us on Monday AM. Todd (boss) said he was obligated to someone driving from GA, but we were not told they were coming to look at that RV! Salesman said couple were coming to look at another RV, Or we would have signed a contract & given a down payment, we were paying CASH! These people are not ethical & blatantly lied to us, as a prospective buyer. If you are going there to buy, do not believe a word they say. We were given a speech by salesman how ethical they were & if they weren't, he would not work for a company like that!! So...prospective buyers, be aware of their business practices. I wish We could give them a zero for their service department and customer service. We were traveling in the Charleston, SC area when our new roof top air conditioning quit working properly. Good Sam could not get us in, so I did a search of local RV dealers. Found good reviews on Yahoo for Coastal. We made an appt while we were about 4 hours out of Charleston area. Upon arriving they were attentive. They pushed a couple buttons and within about 15-20 minutes determined there was nothing they could do. As I was preparing to leave-I was hit with a $95 bill. I could understand a charge for the few minutes they worked with me-but $95-highway robbery! So, if you are traveling and need help-keep on driving! read more

Julian is the best. We got caught in a terrible storm at the campground just north of Coastal RV. Our H2O heater blew the gasket around heating element. Wondered in off the highway with low air in one of my motorhome tires.Asked if they had an air compressor I could use. They said, " sure, only $150".My wife said, "what a bargain!" I would not purchase an RV from any one I have had contact with except Julian and Todd. These guys are honest and are there for any customer who needs assistance with their RV. I am from Charleston and was ready for our trip to Mississippi when the ac would not work with the generator. I called Todd (after normal business hours) and was told to bring it in. He made a call to the shop that we were on the way. Arriving and family greeting, Julian took less than 2 minutes to discover the issue. While on a trip from California, I was getting ready to leave Oak Plantation Campground when I discovered that I had no electricity from the batteries in the motor home. I called Todd and he told me to bring it right over. He found the problem immediately and fixed it. Not only that, he didn't charge me a thing. This is in response to Cindy . The couple that thought the $95 charge was excessive. First of all I was quite surprised about their complaint. First complaint in 8 years. This all started out with about a 15 minute phone conversation about their AC not working try to diagnose problem over the phone so they wouldn't have to come in and also trying to save them money. This is our busy time of the year and we are normally telling our customers that we are about 1 to 2 weeks out. Because of their situation being 100 degrees plus outside we told him that we would squeeze them in. Putting our other jobs aside trying to help them out. And we did much more than just push a couple of buttons like they claim. We completely disassembled the rooftop air conditioner test at all capacitors tested the thermostat and also tested the compressor we found that the compressor was bad. And since it was a new unit we would have had to get Dometic to send a new one which they obviously did not have time for. After spending over an hour with them trying to help them out they started to leave as though our services were free that's when we gave them their $95 bill some people just don't have a understanding what it takes to run a business so for $95 they received a 15 minute phone call we checked the vehicle in we check the vehicle out and spent at least 45 minutes diagnosing the problem. Coastal RV center has superb customer service. Every descriptive positive adjective one can think of to describe customer service is befitting of Coastal RV. We purchased a class A motorcoach by shopping the internet and live 1200 miles from this dealer and can honestly say we'd do it again. Provided a deposit and was on site in Ravenal within 72 hours to validate what we saw on the internet. After finishing the paperwork drove it home 1200 miles. Todd and Julian have been absolutely exemplary to work with. As a novice to the RV world we have lots of questions and sometimes dumb ones. They answer them pre and post sale and never made us feel like we were a bother. They have walked us through things on the coach that certainly have made us more comfortable with the coach. I dont know where to begin. They are absolutely the best!! Not only are they extremely experienced with RV's they are also honest people. I do not have any past experience with RV's so I had no idea where to go for repairs. First, I went to a camper dealership closer to my home. They were nice but told me they were unable to do the repairs I needed. Someone recommended I take my pop up to Coastal RV and I am so glad I did. I felt like they treated me like they would treat their own family member. They repaired all my problems in a very timely manner. They completed repairs that other shops told me would could not be repaired. When I went to pick up my camper they took the extra time to walk me through my camper and show me everything they had repaired. They also showed me a few more things about my camper that I did not know. I feel very lucky and blessed to have stumbled upon such an awesome team .
