Very disappointed in their customer service or lack of! We were interested in two different campers and no one willing to assist. Absolutely the worst customer service. My husband ordered a new awning for our camper at the beginning of July. After a few weeks he called to follow up and was told the awning was shipped. The following week he called numerous times, leaving messages, with no response. He ended up having to go up there only to get a different person and story. This time he was told the awning had never shipped and that it's going to be 2 more weeks. By this time I'm getting furious. I called twice last week again with no response. On 8/24/20, I left another voicemail, again with no response. On 8/25/20 I called again and opted to hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes then sent directly to voicemail once again with no call back as usual. Today 8/27/20, I called and spoke to Ashley. After finally finding the work order I explained my frustration in full detail. She stated she printed out the work order and was giving it to Melissa the bookkeeper and someone would call back. After a few hours we did get a call back and once again a totally different story. We were told that the company was behind on orders and it would be another 4 weeks. Needless to say I pretty much lost it at that point. I've never dealt with such an unorganized Company who can't get their stories straight. I finally told them to cancel the order and that I would be there on Saturday for a full refund and take my business elsewhere. If I were to wait for the refund to come in the mail I'm pretty sure I will never see it or they'll keep telling me "it's in the mail". The sad part of the story is that this was just a replacement awning. I'd hate to see what would happen if we were to purchase an RV, which we plan on doing but it will NOT be with this company. read more

If I could give a lower score, I would. I have had to drive 3 different times to the store since March when I purchased my camper to get a new temporary tag. I have called the store multiple times asking about my tag, and they keep saying it's a problem they are trying to resolve. Recently, the title department has stopped answering calls and returning my voicemails. I have walked into the dealership to try and personally speak to someone, and they were not available. I should not have to wait 4 months for a tag or have to keep driving 50 miles to the dealership to not get anywhere. Look at all others reviews and stay away from Camping World in Pooler, Georgia. There were several issues that should be covered by our Good Sam Extended Warranty, and one issue that needed to have a claim filed. On our way to Florida the beginning of March we noticed we had a leak in our water filter at our first overnight stop. Found your camping world that was close to our next stop. This 5-Star review is for Eric Keith and his team. They were great. Had a major problem with the coach (hydraulic line leak after having the coach serviced by another Camping World on our travels North.) We could not level the coach or get the slides out. That being said - when we called the shop for help in this emergency situation - we were offered "next week" as only option for help. We had to call "the profit's" hotline to get connected with the service manager and actually get the coach fixed. When we purchased the coach (at a different Camping World") location - we were told service anytime, anywhere. That's what makes us special. We didn't feel like we were receiving "special service" until Marcus Lemonis' team got involved. read more

I think if they were giving away most of their products, you still wouldn't be getting you monies worth! I had a leak issue and I pointed it out to one of many people at this location! The last time we picked up our 23H I had to buy a tarp to cover the whole unit tp prevent further damage! The completely emptied my LP gas and didn't get all repairs done! Never again! They broke the vent cover off on the top that was for the heater/refrigerator unit. That's where the water was getting into the inside was coming from. The worst customer service and repairs ever. They supposedly fixed our RV for a cross country trek. Needless to say everything they said they fixed broke en route and left us stranded road side. A 6 day trip took 15 days and cost us more money than it should have in repairs (that were "done") and hotels. Not pleased. read more

Our experience was much like Chris H. We called ahead of time. Made an appointment. Brought our RV at the exact time of the appointment 5/31/2013 at approximately 2:30 p.m. (We were finally seen at 3:00 p.m.) We even told them what the problem was. The thermal fuse on the refrigerator was bad. They only needed to verify it, order the part and fix it. Well, after about 10 phone calls they never returned, we picked our RV up today, June 19, 2013. They never touched it execpt to bring it out when we picked it up. If I could give them minus "zero" stars, I would. Want to know what their excuse was. We had to keep putting it off due to "Sales" coaches which needed to be prepped. Well, guess what, when we are ready to trade in our Class C for a Class A, you can bet your sweet bottom dollar, we won't be buying it from them!!!!!! read more

I'm sorry I know Camping World is a well respected business and Good Sam is wedded to them but if you are traveling with your motorhome or travel trailer stay away from this one. There's no parking for a RV of any size. The street leading to the business was very wide but there were No Parking signs on both sides of the street. All the businesses adjacent to CW had tow away signs posted everywhere. So it's obvious they have parking issues and the local businesses make it clear to stay off their property. We parked a good ways away on a food store shopping center but they didn't appreciate us doing it. We needed a lot of stuff as it's been a while since we were in a Camping World store but they were to busy to help us and we were rushed to get to our next destination. Stopped at Pooler CW and got immediate, friendly and knowledgeable service by Barb and another great employee.......they both assessed the problem and solved with 15 minutes. We called and were told a week for service but going into the store and talking with a sales rep quickly solved our problem... they were kind and considerate . They have a terrible service department. We have been in touch with them for many months and we still don't have our Jayco recall issue fixed. We even drove our RV to their store for a scheduled appointment and after 2 hours they told us the did not have the parts (even though they told us early that morning they had the parts). Bought to toy hauler on March 3, 2017. It's a pull behind, got it home, 10min. Down the road and had brake issues. Had to take it back for repair. This is a NEW camper mind you, it took them 7days to contact us to say it was covered under warranty. They have now had it two weeks and it still hasn't been repaired. I've called numerous times a day and every time they say "I'll check on it and call you back". No one has ever called us back. I keep getting different stories from sales, manager, and service. They lack in communication, even within. At this point I recommend finding one from a junk yard before shopping here!!! read more

My wife and I decided we needed a camper so that we could travel without hotel bills and feel at home wherever we went. We went to Camping World Savannah. We met many smiling faces when we entered. We were introduced to Tony in the sales department. He is very knowledgeable about campers and has camping experience to bring to the table when it comes to knowing what to sell someone and how to explain the needs one will have along the way. We searched the whole lot while he walked around explaining each and every unit and pros and cons of each. Very patient. Not overbearing or used car like. He was actually concerned with selling us just what we needed. Thanks to Antwan and Christina in the office for working with us with the financing. We have been camping for over a year now in our Coleman 192RDS and we are still extremely pleased with our purchase and would recommend this location to anyone for sales, service or just a little shopping. My wife and I have bought (2) rv's from POOLER Camping World over the past years and several others from different dealers. But I want to tell you about our experience at the POOLER Camping World. Our experiences from the girls at the door that greet you to the manager of the location have been a pleasure to deal with. When we decided to buy this coach we went in and told our salesperson what we were looking for and he was very helpful in our final decision. He was always available when I called and always had good advice. He brought our unit in and when we went to talk about price we dealt with the manager whom asked what our needs were and outfitted the unit EXACTLY like we wanted it and was very fair with the price. I meet with the service guys when they were doing the work putting on the satellite custom tv's and several others things we requested. The service guys were more than accommodating and did the work exactly how we had asked. Not long after we took delivery we had an unfortunate accident and we had to call on them to repair it. Thank goodness we had Good SAM (General) insurance. We called the service manager and he was so kind. I brought it in and they handled all the phone calls and I am picking it up next week and my wife and I are headed out again. The people at Camping World in POOLER Georgia do a great and very fair job. They do what they say they are going to do I have been in business for 40 years and I can tell tell you can't get something for nothing. I wouldn't ever consider buy or dealing with anyone else. Why must you leave a star. I mean this place don't deserve any stars. I should have ran when they switch the trailer they was selling me with another one. They was brand new but coloration was slightly different on the inside. They pushed that particular trailer on me. Purchased the end of March 2017. Second camping trip it rained and the bedroom window leaked. They kept it for several weeks and when I got it back they still didn't fix the window. Not to mention I had to push them to get it fixed to get it picked up to use MY CAMPER again. Used it the third time and returned it to camping world to repair the poorly repaired items and other items the poor repairs caused damage too!! I have owned my camper for a year and have been able to use it three times. Camping world has had my camper since around July and had to pick it up before Hurricane Irma hit. I kept it in a enclosed shop for about 6 weeks due to the porter putting a hole in the back of the camper. The finally was able to get it back in right before Thanksgiving to finish the repairs. Now it's April 2018 and they still have my camper. I've been paying my not and insurance on this camper that Camping World has had for approximately 9 months out of the 12 months that we have owned it. The other was sitting in an enclosed garage unusable due to the hole in the back. read more

Made an appointment after being told they had the part (for non-essential but desired repair) and could do the work a week later. Checked out of campground a day early and stayed in hotel overnight for the work to be done. They ended up not having the part. They said the truck with the part did not arrive. In the meantime, they did keep our RV overnight (per our request since we no longer had a campsite) and moved it around at their facility. The next day we hitched up and left and about 150 miles down the road when stopped for gas noticed our hitch was damaged. read more

Salesperson William was awful! Literally acted like a baby pouting and sulking when we didn't accept the offer he was making. Long story short when we went to get our deposit back he had miraculously managed to lower the payment again...still too high for my family's budget so when my husband declined that offer, William took my husband's card, made the transaction brought card and receipt back to my husband, handed it to him without a word and turned on his heel and walked away! Never attempted to try to find us a different camper in a closer price point just wanted the commission on the pricier camper, care to the customer be damned. read more

Did not come here for service, so have no opinion regarding that. We purchased an RV and found that the salesman didn't care about talking with us anymore once the sales paperwork was finished, and was actually antagonistic towards my son, a bank professional, who was helping his 70-year-old father make a wise purchase. On the other hand, we have nothing but good things to say about Kyle, the CW representative who showed us how everything worked in the camper, and was professional and personable in every way. He turned what could have been a negative no-sale because of the salesman's animosity into a positive purchase experience, by sticking with us to make sure all was to our satisfaction in every way before we left the lot. If there is a way that Kyle can be rewarded for turning a negative experience into a positive one, we hope that Camping World will see that it is done. read more

came in to buy a travel trailer. put a deposit down, but no one could or would anser questions. Told we were approved, then when we came in we were conditionally approved (a lie). Now that I have decided to call off the deal, I signed no documents stating my $500 deposit was non-refundable. They are saying (Parker) the sales manager is refusing to refund my deposit. Again no contract has been signed, just a quote and a deposit. This is illegal, and the consumer protection agency and the Georgia Attorney General will be notified if my deposit is not refunded ASAP! Emailed the address they gave me. Supposedly the owner of the business. Once again, smoke and mirrors, they are not Owners. The dealership would not return their calls and they "opened" a case for me. Beware of this place! Give them no money up front. When you come to take delivery, do the demonstration and make them fix everything before you sign anything. The trailer is sold as-is where is. If you take delivery and something doesn't work, good luck getting them to fix it through the service department, and good luck with them giving a crap about your sale. read more

One star is generous. For three months tried to get a new awning for our camper. First they lied and said it was ordered, then they ordered the wrong one twice. It involved taking our camper there three times, only to have to go back the next day to pick it up. The final time we went they weren't sure where our camper was. We were in this Camping World twice in one week around, about mid August. They were so accommodating in helping us through some issues. When we first went in, the determination was that we needed a new AC unit although my husband had anticipated it was the breaker switch thingy. Ok. All good. Our perfectly maintained unit is 10 years old, after all. One week later, we were back with the same issues. Mike Perryman to the RESCUE!!! The part had to be overnighted and next morning after easy peasy night of sleep in hot hot humid humid GA, the part had arrived. Mike Perryman checked in with us while I had a big cup of their delicious fresh-brewed coffee and before I was even to cup 2, Mike Perryman was all done!!! BTW it was, after all, the breaker switch thingy for the generator. We were back on the road to completion of our 5 week, 11,000 mile trip with no further problems. So happy we found and went into this Camping World, even though chairman and CEO of this company is such a basher of President Trump. The expertise and capabilities of Mike Perryman made us so happy that we stopped in...twice. read more

Unfortunately, I had to deal with a salesman who was somewhat attentive before the paperwork was signed. However, once the paperwork was signed he wanted nothing to do with us, even though we still had questions. Thank goodness for Kyle who is in the service department and was able to help us out. A frustrating and unprofessional experience. I made an appointment with the service manager for an oil change and to have my roof resealed before driving cross country at the end of the week. After bringing in my rv monday morning for its appointment, it wasn't touched for over 24 hours. Now I'm being told it won't be ready until Friday which is the day I need to leave. I was originally scheduled to pick up the rv on Wednesday night. Still waiting for my call to be returned by the service manager to find out why he disregarded my appointment. read more

After coming in a week ago and scheduling an appt. for exactly what's wrong, as we were told to by another camping world that had diagnosed our problem so they could order the parts. We arrive, they say we're not in the schedule (even though we have an appt card), can't find any notes from previous visit, didn't order parts, and the girl who was helping us acts completely put out by our presence.......and she's the one who originally made the appt. Completely unacceptable service experience today. Had arranged for a tow and brake system installation. We dropped off at 8:30am and at 2pm, we checked in - and they were still working. At 4:30pm, we arrived to check in again since we had received no progress call and found our Rv and tow car parked in front of the store but with no tow connections in place although the tow base plate and electrical wiring were installed on the tow car. We go to the service desk and they hand us paper work and direct us to checkout. I asked who was going to show us how to engage and use the system. It became clear that they didn't want to show us how to engage and use the system because they ordered, sold and installed a system that didn't have the right adapter for my tow car. The service tech lumbered out and began to make clear that the system we paid for wasn't able to work without an adapter, which they didn't have nor did they think to order even as they were doing the installation. The tech's asinine advice was to drive all the way from Savannah to NJ simply using the RV's brakes and to just look forward to receiving the adapter for my tow car by mail in the near future. I questioned the legality, safety and logic of his advice as well as the service message he was sending me for a $2K system. He dismissed my concern and I asked to speak to a manager. Sure enough, it is not legal to tow a car the weight of even my FIat 500c without a breaking buddy in GA, SC, NC, VA, DC, MD or NJ. In other words, no where on my route would the tech's advised approach be legal. Not to mention, I paid for a complete installed system specific to my tow car and they failed to deliver. Their next solution was to call the brake buddy manufacturer at 5:30pm and ask for the adapter to be sent. (And, no Camping World did not think to ask for the part to be overnighted in time for delivery the next day.) Needless to say, we will not be towing our car back and instead we will be driving our RV and tow car back on their own. My experience with Camping World of Savannah in Pooler was a complete waste of time, money and energy. And, the service team handled their poor planning and installation quite poorly. I shall never utilize this location for any service again and would highly recommend others steer clear. read more

My experience was when were looking on the internet and found a motorhome were interested in, called an talked to Buzz and he new nothing on the coach and had to call me back, he did and still didn't know the answers to my questions. My wife talked to him and he was going to get us a sheet wrote up to give our bank. We waited an waited and waited. Nothing !!! Then he called and said where do we stand on this coach, I said that you were sending us a sheet to give our bank. Thats right he said I'll send in just a minute. Well he must be in another solar time because we never received it. Looked on there site and the coach is now gone. Wow I can even to express my disgust with this place. We went to look at new travel trailers and we found two we liked. Our salesman Joe could never get us back to the first one we liked better, so we settled with our second choice. Boy was that a big mistake. We have a 2015 Salem Cruise Lite and it is the biggest POS I have ever seen. We paid cash for the unit in December and told them we would pick it up in March for spring break and to have it ready. When we first looked at it I said there is water on the floor, they said they would find out why. They didn't. When I went back in early January I said there is water on the floor. I was told they were pulling it in to the bay to find out why, they didn't. When we picked it up it had not been dealer prepped or cleaned ...nothing. It took them all of 15 minutes to Hooke it up to the truck and said its your bye. The sway bars were so loose it swayed bad. So we had to turn around go back and have that fixed. When we got it home 900 miles later we noticed the L bracket for the curtain was broken as we told them when we looked at it had not been fixed. We should have known from there that it was down hill from there. So we go on spring break and get to Panama City Florida and can't light the stove, the tub leaked all over the floor , we couldn't get it off the truck without it blowing fuses to the electric jack, the stabilizer jacks were stuck, and we had a gas leak from the propane to the stove. We had to get it to Orlando Florida to a camping world for repair. We were suppose to go camping at NASA for 3 weeks only to find out it was going to be in the shop for 3 weeks. Well great I'm now stuck not going to NASA With the rest of the family. We had to find a hotel or cancel the vacation. We found a hotel and stayed while the trailer was being repaired. We get it back home and can't use it the whole summer as the tires were balled on the inside and no longer being made. Every time we called camping world of Savannah we got ignored. And the ignoring started when we were on the road. Nice right. Every time we called with something else wrong we were ignored. Well we called Forest River and they finally came and picked it up in October to take it to the factory to do all the repairs......and we still don't have it back yet. We paid over 20,000.00 for a pice of junk that we haven't even been in. Aside from the fact they had my money and could careless what happened from there...this unit should never have left camping world of Savannah. Had they had done their job and dealer prepped it they would have sent it back to the factory themselves. WORTHLESS WORTHLESS WORTHLESS group of people. I live in the area so I use this store, not really frequently but several times a year. I have complained to personnel before about the lack of hospitality and courtesy by store employees. It seems that regardless of how many personnel are on the floor, no one will make eye contact, say hello, ask if they can help you find something, no one. Today while shopping for an item I was pleasantly surprised, a young man named Joseph Smith happened to catch me going down an isle, actually away from him, and asked me if he could help me find something. At the time I had already found what I was there to purchase but I was astounded that someone in a Camping World store actually was interested in helping a customer. It ended up that Joseph Smith was also the person the checked me out at the register. I asked to see the manager and complimented him on the spot. It was that important for me that his superior understand what some others see but will not comment on. I was in small & big ticket (over $8M a year) sales for 36 years. If the company that I worked for allowed their sales personnel to treat their customers as Camping World does, the competition would have put them out of business long ago. This Camping World is by no means the only one like this, they are ALL the same. OK Marcus, this store would have not gotten a 3 star rating had it not been for Joseph Smith. It would have gotten no rating and I would not be writing this. But unless you know that there is a problem you can't make changes. But I will guarantee you that there are others that feel the same but just don't make comments. Read the reviews and you can probably apply them to any store that you have. read more

I wish there could be negative stars for this review. Our nightmare of "service" for our fifth wheel lasted for about three months. The first estimate was $1,300, then they "found something else wrong" and it was upped to $2,000, then when we finally got it back it was over $2,300!!! In the meantime we were given the runaround every time we called to check on progress. We missed our April beach trip and our June craft show. On at least three occasions we made 80+ mile round trips in our gas hog truck to find that the camper was not ready as promised. They installed the wrong hitch, purchased from them on their recommendation for our setup, on our 2011 truck resulting in the cab getting crushed on one corner when trying to make a turn. Guess who had to pay for their mistake! We finally went to get it in mid July. We called in advance but could not get anything but transfers & voice mails in answer to our questions of whether or not it was ready, so we made the 80ish mile trip, again. When we arrived we found damage to the lower front fiberglass which looked suspiciously like it had been hit by a fork lift. They tried to say the damage was there before, but it was not noted on their check in inspection because it wasn't there when we brought it in. We finally took it home after the "while you wait" hasty repairs were made to the fiberglass. This is just a quick summary of what we went through. BEWARE! read more

This place is the worst business I have ever seen as far as customer service goes. I've read other reviews about the service department being bad but man I had no clue how stupid and lazy people are here. I called 7 times over the last 2 weeks each time being sent to a persons voice mail. I was being sent to sent to people that were at lunch or had left for the day. A friend of mine was trying to buy a new travel trailer and the told her they needed a $500 deposit on a credit or debt card and that if she didn't want to put it towards the deal when financing was done they would give the money back. Why did they need $500 if it wasn't being put towards the deal. Its like they need the $500 to process paperwork to try and get the deal done. I've asked exactly what it was for and was never given an answer. So I put the $500 on my card to try and get the deal done. Well she didn't end up getting the trailer, So where is my $500 you ask? Somewhere in limbo they didn't just put a hold on my account knowing that I had no intention on putting $500 towards her trailer I made that clear to her sales person. They processed the transaction and I now have to wait for my bank to get the money back from them. My bank stated if they would have just put a hold on it all it would take for me to get my money back would have been a letter or a phone call stating they didn't need the $500. Since they actually took the money for what I don't know. I'm stuck waiting. Nothing like calling about a travel trailer and being told its sold. Telling the person on the phone that I was told that the deal wasn't going to happen financing didn't go through on the deal. He says he will check on it. Comes back ten mins later and says yes sir that Unit has been sold. I said is buyers name ********** *********. He says yes sir. And was trying to sell me the whole time on this other trailer yet I had confirmed with the buyer it was not sold. One hand clearly doesn't know what the other is doing there or people are just plain lazy. I will be buying and servicing my travel trailer and RV elsewhere and would suggest everyone does the same.
