She went WAY out of her way to help us and because we were in a rush she even helped get the new part to us ASAP! It's a long read, but if you are in the market for an RV, it's worth it. Well we decided to trade in our used RV and buy a new one. We had a price from another dealer, and wasn't really planning on buying it from Camping World, just wanted to see what they would give us for the RV we had. They said they could get the RV we wanted, and they met the price. Thought it was an OK thing to do. BOY WERE WE WRONG! Lots of bold face lies, and I mean LOTS. First, I wanted to pay cash. We were told the rebate (kickback) they get from the bank, was the reason we got such a " good deal". Then, we didn't want the "add on" extended warranties ($8000.00 ) they tacked on the paperwork. We were told we needed to have them in there for the "good deal" they gave us. They said "you can cancel them anytime within the first year and get all of your money back". I canceled them 3 days later, and was told the $1990.00 dollar one was not cancellable. It also took me over 5 months to finally get the remaining refund. Next came the service. I couldn't get the plug on the outside of the trailer to work with my portable satellite dome. I was told the "coax cable built in to the trailer was too long and that they couldn't do anything about that". The explained that, they got it to work but, "I had to use a 6' or less coax cable on the outside to make it work". I took the trailer to RV Nation, here in town, and they looked at it and told me I had simply hooked up the inside cables incorrectly, and it worked just fine using the same coax cables I had. Obviously they lied about everything concerning that issue. Finally, they said "if you make 6 full payments, you will get a $500.00 rebate". They even gave me a coupon for it. So I made an extra large first payment ( they assured me that I could make as big of payments as I wanted as long as they were, at least, the amount of the payment). Then I continued to make 6 additional full payments. When I turned my coupon, they informed me I payed it off too early, and I would not get the $500.00 rebate. All in all, a VERY, VERY frustrating and expensive, experience. If you are looking to buy an RV in Saint George, I STRONGLY recommend, going to any other RV dealer in town. It will save you frustration, and, more then likely, money by the time Camping World is through with you. read more

This review is for the Camping World Service Department. After driving from CA to visit family in St. George, I realized that my 2022 Thor RIZE camper van's AGM batteries had died. I thought, this is a good time to upgrade to lithium batteries (I had been thinking about this for a while actually) so I ordered 2 group 31 lithium batteries online and called Camping World to see it they could install them for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mike, the service rep and Brad, the technician were both super in keeping me updated on the progress of the work, and Mike double-checked how long I was in town, to make sure my van would be finished by the time I needed to leave.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Brad was very knowledgeable about all things electrical and had a lot of experience in upgrading RVs to lithium systems. I got lucky in the timing of my visit (early February) as the service department was not too busy. When all was said and done, I was charged a very fair price for the job (I also had a generator service completed while my van was there.) Whenever I am again in St. George and need service on my van, I will definitely return to Camping World. read more

took rv in for recall on the awning. they worked on it and trashed the motor. finally got it back after months of waiting and now the awning doesn't work the way it should. it tries to extend, makes a bad noise then goes out a little and stops. try to retrack it and it does not close completely. talk about bad work. read more

Camping World of St George saved my trip! They were outstanding and I couldn't be more pleased with the service! As I was returning home to southern California from Salt Lake City, my hydraulic leveling system was beeping, blaring and performing emergency retract every few minutes. In a panic, I called Camping world of St George and was about 2 hours away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service advisor told me that they were booked for the day but could schedule me for the next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I arrived in St. George around 2:30pm I decided to check in with the service department. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service adviser was wonderful and even though she was the only one working that day, she went above and beyond to try and help me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She spoke with the manager and was able to get a tech to look at my system right away![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a couple of hours I was told that the service was complete and that I could continue on my way home! It was only a minor issue that required reprograming and I was only charged for one hour of labor! I was thrilled and as I began reconnecting my tow vehicle and locking up the outside cabinets, my key broke! [[HIGHLIGHT]]At this point the service department was closed for the day but the service advisor was still cleaning up and, again, she went above and beyond to track down a spare key for my outside cabinets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked how much to purchase the key and she said it was a spare that they had and not to worry about it. I was overjoyed to have such outstanding service and be able to continue my trip home with only a few hour delay. I highly recommend Camping world of St. George and would even travel to see them instead of using my local service department here locally. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO, I WOULD! Don't do business with them, they are deceitful in their advertising! When it comes down to the brass tax, a motorhome listed at $49,999 magically changes to a higher number when the contract is sent over to you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took over three separate phone calls, several hours and many texts back and forth to discover that the "let's go camping" package, which is taxed, and the doc fee's tax is added to the final price to the unit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They say it can be as low as $385/mo on their website, but you will never get it for that because of all of the extra's they add on. When the contract was sent to us, $10,785 of "extra's" was added on to the price!!! I placed a deposit to "secure the unit" when we worked on the deal over 10 days ago, now, I cannot get any response from anyone about getting my $2,500 back. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service and would not recommend them at all. read more

Went in on Saturday, 10-28-23 around 5pm, just to kill some time since we purchased an enclosed trailer elsewhere in town and didn't want to have dinner too early. We are not new to RVs after owning 3 slide ins, a class C, a class A, and a travel trailer. We simply enjoy looking at them and Camping World was happy to oblige. We browsed the lot looking at various RVs and found a Cruiser RV 2000MPG that had a very similar floor plan to what we already had in our current camper. Not having any intentions to purchase, we looked at it again and salesman Paul was happy to show us around it and compare to some others. We wound up putting a deposit on the MPG and Paul stayed after closing to do the paperwork. Throughout the entire sales process, Paul and finance guy Bryan kept in touch and were on top of things. We went in the next Saturday to pick it up and again, Paul, Bryan, and Brad (serviceman) were very professional and flexible with our schedule since we live almost 5 hours away. The entire experience was smooth, friendly, and low pressure. They also fixed a couple things on the camper since it was used and winterized it for us. We were able to use the camper on our way home and couldn't be happier with the purchase. We've had friends buy a couple campers here in the past five years and they too had great experiences. I've heard plenty of horror stories on Camping World but this store has/had the exact model I've wanted - this isn't my first travel trailer purchase but would be with Camping World. I inquired and was told the sale price was $47,395 - their web site said the MSRP was appx. $60k - I say approximate because it's no longer listed and in fact the trailer is listed as Deal Pending. The build sheet has the MSRP at $70,915 (the manufacturer had it at $60,648). Added to the sale price was $1,295 for a weight distribution system; easily much cheaper on your own. Doc fee of $399, and the Extended Stay Package. This is where I got hung up with them. They REQUIRE you to purchase (Extended Stay Package - which has nothing to do with staying anywhere) something MOST stores offer upfront (do they build it in the price, maybe, but I don't know that). For $2,550, they will walk through the rig with you (orientation), supply you with 2 RV batteries (maybe $300-400 total), fill the propane (maybe $100-150 for new bottles), and accessories you can buy on Amazon for much, much less - none of it comes close to $2,550. As well as cleaning the interior/exterior - something you'd think they'd do because...why wouldn't they? I was offered a discounted price of $1,995. They require you pay them to show you all about your new expensive investment! There's no way out of it, apparently. On top of this, if there were something that needed fixing, the rig will stay there for weeks or months and I'd be driving back - I'm not local. Side note, I was warned - I had a friend find 4 things to fix on his orientation and he missed the summer in 2021 while it was being fixed and still had an issue. In addition, I was told my trade in was far less than what is owed; I knew this and expected to add the negative to the new loan - they went from asking for $10k down to $20-25k down - to offset the negative equity - this assuming I was financing with them. I didn't tell them I was financing with them because I wanted the best price - nothing new there. This is where they make their money, nickel and diming you on things you don't need and asking for a lot down - I'd be better off paying off my other trailer (a 2022) and getting the loan from my bank at far less. Regardless, the prices are not listed on their site now, it shows Deal Pending and yet they are still working with me to sell it (I'm sure this is normal when someone emails them, right?) Unless you're married to an RV and they have it and you need it...run away from Camping World, the sales tactics and service aren't worth your expensive investment. read more

My father purchased an RV at this location. Before taking the RV my brother noticed the front hitch was not stable and realized it was not the one made for the RV and made them change it out before we pulled it off the lot. After getting the RV to his home in Richfield we noticed the foul smell in the bathroom and realized the septic tank was NEVER emptied! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Notified the manager and sales manager who "apologized" and stated they would give my dad a $100 gift card when he was in there again! I've bought 3 rigs from Camping World (2 in Nevada and 1 in this location in St George when it was rvs.com and it was on the other side of the 15 and service was amazing there ) and the girl in Service Dez on Saturday January 6th was not very pleasant. She was rude and had a bad attitude when we asked why we were being charged for stuff that was covered under warranty. Side note we dropped our rig off for warranty work and they NEVER emailed my husband that there was gonna be a fee for stuff that was not covered under warranty is in the rule that you need to let the customer know what's going to be charged before the work is done? well, when we picked up our rig on January 6, the service girl that was very unpleasant and rude said there's no service manager here. I'm the only one here on Saturdays and I can't help you if you don't pay for the service that was not covered under warranty then we won't release your rig to you, then she said you can take it up with the service manager on Monday. We waited for about an hour for them to come and bring us our rig so we could take it home as we saw other rigs for people to pick up being brought out. It was not a busy Saturday so I think she was just being mean because we were asking too many questions about the invoice we had to pay I've was going to recommend my friend to buy her 1st rig from this exact location because I had had a good experience but I recommended my friend to buy her first break from camping were in Las Vegas instead of this one. We finally get a rick delivered and it's just parked in the middle of all the other rigs. Nobody tells us that it's our rig and then we can hook it up. We try and go hook it up in the batteries dead no one's around here to help us, I mean, it was just a terrible experience, clearly never giving them my business or referring anyone here again very disappointed read more

Dishonest sales tactics and slow service. Typical of Camping World. Took over 20 days just to get told the service contract did not cover our problem, a roof leak. On buying the RV less than 4 months ago were told that the roof problem was "delamination". Now that it is for repairs it is magically a roof leak. In the past when dealing with another Camping World location the service was equally poor. If you're looking for an RV and can find one somewhere else, might be worth it. read more

However, and the reason I only gave Camping World two stars is that I just learned yesterday that an attempted credit check was done on me by Camping world, even though I used my credit card. I received an alert (text message) from Equifax that "Accesss was blocked to your Equifax credit report". Important notes from Equifax. "COMENITYCAPITAL/GOOD SAMCC attempted to access your Equifax credit report on 02/05/2024, but access was blocked". It actually showed up as a soft pull, but had I not been an Equifax member with a fraud alert on my profile, it May have been a Hard Pull. Oh, the purchase was made with a credit card to purchase 10 gallons of Century Aqua hot coolant, and I'm glad they had it, and a great price! Unfortunately, my opinion of Camping World in St. George Utah has suffered dramatically. I had taken my RV and we have work done on the flight out. Service tech inspected it and said that they would have to order parts. The service counterperson told me it could be 4 to 6 weeks until the parts came in. That was Eric. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At the end of seven weeks I called and no one knew what was going on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked to talk to the service manager and after a few minutes, the shop foreman came on the phone, I believe his name is Christian. I have worked with him before and was very pleased.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He told me that Eric had failed to order the parts and was no longer with the company. He said that he knew what parts were needed, and a new counterperson would be assigned to me, and call me when the parts came in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lindsey, who is assigned to me now, called a few weeks later and said the parts had arrived so she and I set up an appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I met Lindy on the day. I came in for my service appointment and she told me I was a week early. She's the one that recorded the appointment in the computer so apparently she failed to record it properly. But then she told me there were two appointments a week later in the day had arrived, the day we had originally discussed and settled on. Then, she had an extremely difficult time figuring out how to generate a work order. She spent several minutes struggling, and finally someone came along and began to help her. It took several more minutes until she got it right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked her to show me the print out. She handed it to me and told me to sign it and handed me a pen. I said I would look at it first.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked her if she was going to come out and look at the RV and she acted as though she had forgotten about that. Well, we are outside and she was taking pictures. I asked her when I could have the RV back because it was in the past when I had brought my RV in to Camping World they took it in the shop and turned it around in a day or two. She said it would be a 'couple of days before it could be taken into the shop. based on my previous experience, this was quite an unpleasant surprise. I had to reserve my room at the hotel for at least two more days on that basis. The hotel and eating out would eat into my expenses, which is a problem because I'm retired and live on Social Security. so at this point, it's been two days. I will call them tomorrow and find out whether my rig is in the shop yet. Two people have caused this issue for me. Eric, and his replacement, Lindsey. I'm hoping that the rig will be in the shop tomorrow is that will be day three, and that they will turn it around expeditiously. If not, or if there are issues with the work, I will be back here to update this review again. As it stands, I feel that I need to find somewhere else to take my RV in the future, and I am very disappointed about that because I was set on Camping World being my go to place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also want to mention that the people who work behind the service counter should be wearing name tags. They also need to be trained to behave cordially.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So it's day three. I called Camping World and was once again told that it could be a few days before my rear would be put in the shop. This is two days after I was told it would be a couple of days. Five days? Really? When I taken my rig to Camping World in the past, it went in the shop the same day as my appointment. Now I'm getting the runaround, so [[HIGHLIGHT]]I explained to Lindsey that considering I'm paying $100 a day to stay in a hotel and also eating out, and that I live on Social Security, I want a definite answer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She came back a few minutes later and told me my river would be going in the shop today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The vague answers have caused me to become suspicious and now I'm wondering if they're going to put it in the shop and just let it sit there instead of out in the sun. 11-15-2023 TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I wanted to replace appliances in my motorhome and Kooper of Camper World said that it would be no problem. I provided pictures, serial and model numbers and Kooper told me that it would a couple of days. It has been a month and still no bid. In fact Kooper has lacked the courage to even return phone calls/texts which I find pathetic for a representative of the company. When I called to ask someone else to help me I found Kooper's fellow employees covering for him and did not connect to another employee. Don' t do business with these people as they are as unprofessional as anyone I've ever dealt with. Thank goodness there are alternatives to their inept their practices. I had a bad experience at a dealership in Mesa, Arizona, and went looking for my RV I wished to purchase at other dealerships. The camping world in St. George, Utah had the same unit I wanted and offered me a more competetive price. When I went to pick it up the sales staff, JR, Mitch, and Jeremy were all profesional and polite. They went out of their way to make my experience better in any way they could. I also left my Visa card at their sales desk and they notified me right away and mailed it to my house so I would not have to turn around and return to the dealership. I will be coming back again in the future for my next upgrade. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I purchased two sofa sleepers which were advertized as 66 inches when pulled out. I spoke with Pam the night supervisor about my concern that I could return them if they did not fit. She assured me I could do that. Purchased on the 17th of March. Not delivered until the 26th of March by a freight company who just puts them on the driveway. Had to hire movers to get them into the trailer. Once in the trailer, it was determined that they were longer than 83 inches, and with one on each side, would not open and fit in my trailer. Called to return them twice. Once on April 1srt and was told "they would get back with me" and I waited a week to hear from them. No response. Called again today the 5th and they stated they had issues with their returns and could not give my money back unless I brought them back by the 17th, and then they could not give me a credit on my card, they could only give me a check which I would have to wait for and pick up in person. I do not live where the sleepers were delivered and told Camping World since over two weeks were eaten up by delivery time and waiting for a response, if I could return them on the 20th rather than the 17th as I could not get down there due to work. The answer was NO. I asked for three days leeway, and they refused and then told me I had to wait a couple weeks for my check? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I recommend avoiding this store completely. read more

This dealership is the worst I've ever seen. Purchased a 5th wheel, promised a complete and thorough inspection before driving off lot. Got 500 miles away to have a broken toilet, bad pump in washer, non-functioning water heater, broken shade on window. They even lost the license plates. I can't believe the prices they quoted me for some small repairs but worst of all they said my roof on my class C motorhome needed to be replaced because it appeared to have been hit by a "overhang". An absolutely ridiculous recommendation! Anyone that has seen the small "weather crack" would say "you have got to be kidding". I find myself to be pretty passive, but purchasing a camper from here was rather time-consuming and a jaw clenching experience. We started the process of buying a slide-in camper in late March, and the loan was processed in April. It's June, and I finally picked up our camper.. There were a number of hiccups and miscommunication throughout the process, putting us $5000 over budget. If I add the hours they made me wait in the store, gas, and finding someone to cover work, it adds an additional $3000 to my cost. I was called and informed that the camper was ready on multiple occasions, and when i arrived, I would wait for hours at a time while they sorted out the issues, eventually being told to come back later. This happened too often. The day my camper was officially ready for pickup, I showed up and waited 3 hours for it to be finished. The lady helping me ghosted me, and they had to call her to find the keys! I get out to the camper, and my truck and camper batteries are dead! I needed a jump start. After getting it home, I noticed the bathroom lights are on, and the fridge/freezer is nice and cold, running my propane almost empty. We paid $2500 for them to fill the propane charge the batteries and show us how the camper works. We found the perfect trailer for us at this Location. The 2022 Highland Open Range lite 252rb. We drove up to Utah and spent most of the day here. We toured the trailer with John In service and he didn't mind that we went over everything with a fine tooth comb. We asked so many different questions and he answered all the questions with expertise knowledge and experience. Junior in service took care of all of our add-ons and even went over and beyond in installing extra parts and was really patient with us. Reed in finance helped us find the best rates and answered all of our questions and gave sound advice. Madison in sales was a great resource in helping us secure this trailer and getting most of our parts installed before our arrival. We never met up with him but he definitely helped us find the perfect trailer for us at this time. My experience with the service department at Gander RV, in St. George, has been terrible. We took in a new RV in for some warranty work to done. Most of the things that were broken or didn't work they said Forest River would not cover under the warranty. And after two months most the items they did claim to have repaired either didn't get repaired or were repaired so badly that they fell apart, again, after fifty miles of highway travel. While most of the problems were minor like cabinet doors falling off, stripped out screws, doors jamming and not sealing, the one the bothers me the most is that the furnace in the trailer set off the smoke detector a couple of times, so asked them to check it to see if the unit was safe to use and all they did was turn on the furnace one time, and because it didn't set off the detector, that "one time", they said was nothing wrong and then they wanted to charge me $40 for not finding the problem. Throughout this 2 month ordeal, every time I tried to talk to someone it took two or three days and repeated calls to get to talk to someone, and then they never seemed to want to work with me. Also no one was wearing masking or doing anything to prevent their customers or employees from being infected with Covid. And with the demographic of the RV crowd that could be very dangerous. Even after letting them know i made a purchase elsewhere, i get a phone call everyday letting me know about specials and sales ! Matt in service is simply awesome. I was driving through and had an issue with my break lights and Matt went out of his way to help me diagnose the problem on the spot. We all have different experiences buying different versions of RV's . Mine was not so good here. I will not bore readers with details other then to say I need to totally do their job in getting this thing ready for the road. It is un safe and they failed to do a proper service of my $75,000 purchase. I am doing it now for them, and thus they get the one star out of me. They earned it they deserve it. .
