We were looking at trailers and as we were walking there was a young guy power washing trailers. The water was spraying over and hit us. He saw us hurrying by and just kept on spraying. When we were leaving, his pressure washer quit so we started walking by and he got it started. He saw us and was going to start pressure washing again, so my husband yelled at him not to start until we are past. He yelled back a smart ass remark!! I purchased a brand new RV and did our shake down trip. The salesmen was polite and so was financing. After I returned it for the service Desiree in service would not contact us back and it sat for a month and a half with no maintenance completed. I came back to take it for a trip and return it later and found it was broken into. They would not cover all the missing items and I was going to have to go through my insurance. This was a brand new trailer. At no point did Desiree ever come out and talk to us or apologize or try to help I called numerous times and never got a response. We decided to eat the cost and we just kept the trailer and paid for all the fixes our self. I tried multiple times to reach out to Gander RV of St. George and corporate and we never got a response other than we will investigate. I'm pretty confident I will get a response from this complaint and it will typically come with an email or that they are sorry and please reach out. I will definitely reach out but I know with this company nothing ever happens. If they really want to satisfy the customer they could pay for all the broken items and missing appliances that I had to repair and replace. Gander RV/Camper World Very POOR craftsmanship and you have more problems with your RV than when you took it in. Marcus owner of Camper World says he will make it right if your not satisfied, NOT SO, false statement! We was told sorry about the poor craftsmanship and we don't know what happened to the missing items in your locked bins....but they are the ones with the Master keys to our bins. Take elsewhere for service if possible. They took over Nielson RV but still have the same incompetent employees who will lie and argue with you so they do not have to be responsible for repairs. Took our trailer there for repairs. Picked it up and took a trip for spring break. 2 days into our trip, our trailer started leaking from underneath when the tank filled up. We have never had this issue until we received it back from them after the repairs they did. Called and explained what was happening. They basically blamed it on us, saying it was not hooked up correctly when it actually was. Dropped it back off to them on our way home from our trip (we live in Las Vegas). They found any any every excuse to blame us or argue that we were lying about the leak. Their general manager at one point in the back and forth even stated that it was supposed to leak dirty water from underneath because "the water had to go somewhere." Finally, we were fed up after being told multiple times there was no leak and went up there. No customer service when we arrived. Basically just gave us our keys and that was it...no paperwork or anything. Pulled it right to the water filling station and filled it up and guess what, it started leaking. It took us and hour to do this but they couldn't figure it out after having our trailer for almost 3 months. On top of that, our water tanks were full. We dropped it off empty, so they filled it to check at some point and then left it full for who knows how long. Brought it home and took it to camping world in Las Vegas. Explained the problem, showed them the video and that same day, they found the leak that Gander/Nielson (same employees) swore was not there. Avoid them for service for your RV if you want someone who will actually listen to you and fix what is needed. Will never return to Gander because of how we were treated and the lack of service we received in the months that our trailer was there sitting. read more

What a joke!! We bought a toy hauler from them a few years ago. Bring it in to get maintenance check which was mandatory for warranty. The have up the fee every year. Still charge for the items that they fix and break in a year. Shop fee New one guys ha ha new people every year!! DO NOT BUY or USE SERVICE!! BE AWARE!!!! Can not trust!! read more

My husband and I just practically just walked in their store. Looks like it's their grand opening. Preparing popcorn and there's tent in front the the entrance. Nobody ever greeted us. Not a single employee ever said "hi", "welcome" "how can I help you?" Not even a smile. We walked in there, we walked around and still nobody. And they were not busy. No excuse at all for them to ignore us. And it's just us, me and my husband got ignored. Other people that walked in the store was greeted well. I even stood there for a bit and see if someone will actually come up to me and ask if o need help. Nope! I am a person that is not racist at all, Been around different nationality; Our relatives have different ethnicity. But This is the first time I felt discriminated. By the way, we are Asian. And we are the only Asian that walked in that store at the time. So no! I would never ever go back. read more

I purchased an RV from The previous dealer, Nielson RV. Gander/Camping World are the new owners. I was sold a back up camera for our 2021 Solitude, both camera and trailer were purchased before the Gander Take-over. The wireless Furrion Cameras will not work on any new Chevy/GMC truck because of the conflict with the truck system. I'd been working through this with Nielson who'd been understanding. Gander, however, basically is not willing to back up any aftermarket additions I purchased at Nielson. So I'm left in no man's land. $580 down the drain and not a bit of understanding from Gander. Trying to get through on a phone to the service department is very difficult. I live in Salt Lake which is 300 miles away from Gander. They initionally told me I could no longer drop my trailer off for an 8:00 am service appointment the afternoon before the appointment. Bottom line I'm losing confidence in this dealership who keeps telling me it's a Nielson RV issue. Buyers beware of this place. read more

We bought a brand new 2021 BH270 Heartland Pioneer from them. We are the first owners. They sold it to us and we were happy until we actually used it. They didn't connect water connections under the sink so the first time we used it water went everywhere. It seeped under the cabinets and ruined them causing cosmetic damage. When we took it in for repair they loosened our faucet and didn't even tighten it after calling us and telling us to come pick it up because it had been "fixed". The fridge was broken and they said they would order parts....still no parts. The toilet also leaked. This last weekend we used it for a second time and it happen to rain. We were pulling it on the freeway and when we got home the entire floors, and cabinets were flooded. Water had come in from the bottom of the trailer. Drenched everything. Caused damage to the trailer as well as our belongings inside. I feel like they sold us a really expensive cardboard box. I never thought something brand new would have this many problems in the first two uses. We would have been better off buying something used. I do not recommend this dealership. read more

For a company with so many signs in their lobby proclaiming that they are all about customer service, they are hands down the worst that I have personally dealt with. At first everything seemed to go fine. We found a trailer that we liked on their exceptional website, and submitted a request to view the trailer. One of their sales reps called us immediately to schedule appointment. We went, found that we liked the trailer, provided a 10% down payment, scheduled a pickup date, and submitted for financing. We were told that there would be no problem, but they would call if there were any hiccups. They specifically said that they would only apply to one bank, and that they would ask our permission before applying to any others. After a couple days had gone by I started trying to get in touch with them to see where we were at because our pickup date was growing near, and no word from them. After leaving several messages with the front desk, I finally got in touch with our sales agent, who acted like he had no idea, and said that he would call me back in ten minutes. He never did... I called all day the next day to no avail, so I finally drove down to see them. Then I learned that they had applied to 4 different banks without my approval, but could not get me approved. Dismayed I left and went to speak with my banker, who approved the loan, and told me that the reason it was turned down, is because they had asked for a higher loan to value ratio than I needed. He said that they do this so that they can tack on extras like extended service plans. After being approved at the bank I returned to Gander to inform them to keep my deposit, and schedule a new pickup date. Upon hearing this the finance guy said "great", and insisted that they would transfer the loan back to their department. When I disagreed and said that I would rather work with my banker he argued with me, until his supervisor overheard, and told him to drop it, and provide me with a sales order so I could complete the loan. I noticed on the sales order that there was an $899.00 charge for accessories & equipment which I hadn't requested. When I asked what that was, they informed me that it was their "extended stay" fee that they tack on to all new sales. They said it was to cover the battery, two full propane tanks, cleaning, and a full inspection to ensure that the vehicle was road worthy before I picked it up. When I argued and said that was excessive for a battery, and two propane tanks, they insisted that new coaches need to be inspected, and have minor repairs done before they are ready, and the fee was mainly to cover that. If you ask me, ensuring that a 25-75k dollar item purchased new is ready to go before the customer takes it should be a given, and part of doing business. You should not be charging the customer an additional 900 bucks to do basic customer service, and ensure that your customers drive away happy. That being said, I begrudgingly agreed to pay the fee, and thought well at least my brand new RV will be ready for the road when I pick it up. On pickup day, I noticed right away that it was not. The "new" battery was stone dead, and there was a large piece of broken insulation panel hanging down from under the trailer. I pointed this out to the tech who said that he would fix it before we left and we continued through the walk through. At the end, I asked the tech why the fresh water was still in the system, and asked if they would please winterize it, as I would be arriving home after dark, and it is February in Utah. He said that they offer that as a $250 service. When I argued that I had just paid them $900 to have it ready to go, he said that he would do it, but informed me not to mention it to the people at the front desk, or they would charge me for it. I purchased a hitch and ball from their service department, and asked my sales rep if he would take it to the shop to have them tighten down the ball, and the bolts, and went back to finance to finish up the paperwork. After we finished up with signing the paperwork we came out to hitch up and leave. I couldn't see the insulation hanging down anymore, and the tech came out with the hitch, put it on my truck, and guided me back to the trailer. While pulling the trailer back to my shop, I could feel a thump every time I accelerated and braked. Upon inspection, and to my horror I found that he had tightened the bolts, but the ball was still loose. I am just glad that I stopped at my shop and discovered this before getting on the freeway for my 40 mile trip home. After getting home I was disjointed to see that the insulation panel was again hanging down, and had now drug along the freeway for the last 40 miles. When I crawled under to inspect it, it appears that they had just pushed it up, and done nothing to secure it. It is a quick fix, but it leaves me wondering why I paid 900 bucks for a "thorough" inspection. All in all, I recommend anyone looking for an RV to steer clear. read more
