I bought a camper here in April and wish I bought it somewhere else. Their customer service is horrible. They are rude, obnoxious and do not ever fix anything. We drove way out of our way to go to The Villages area CW store after getting an email ad. We arrived 5:30 PM and there were more than a half dozen folk in CW blue shirts, all very busy getting ready to close, but not to be bothered with customers...not just us...others had to chase sales people down for help and it was clear we were annoying. I eventually found what I was looking for...after snagging the elbow of one CW person on her way to the drinking fountain...waited in line 25 minutes. There were people leaning against registers, talking among themselves, and avoiding eye contact with customers. I finally asked if there was another register: "Nope! We're trying to close!" There was only one customer in line ahead of me...clerk focused on selling that customer renewed membership, the CW credit card...finally got around to me and declared that the email CW ad I got was "from a totally different company" (it isn't) and they would not honor the sale prices unless they charged what an online order would charge for shipping. I said, "I think I've had enough." And walked away to contempt and sneers all around. It will be a cold, cold day... ------ Hey I got an instantaneous response from CW Ocala Management! This place is a typical used car lot. High pressure, small print needs to be read before signing a contract. Do not buy any extended warranty or other extras they push on you. They don't honor them. You have to deal directly with manufacturer of trailer, tires etc. Service department is a joke. Have to chase advisors/really just salesmen that don't call back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE once they make the sale! My daughter's boyfriend purchased a new travel trailer from them and my daughter came today to pick up the trailer. She walked in to the building to let them know she was there and to see what she needed to sign for pick up, show any ID etc to verify authority for pick up and they never asked for a thing. Mind you she is 18 years old!!!! Just said "it's out front, go ahead"! She could have been anyone!!! They never offered to walk out with her to help her hook up this travel trailer, or even ask her if she needed any help!?!? Seriously!?!? They had no idea if anyone was even with her to help her! What happened to customer service? It took quite a while to get everything hooked up and no one even walked out to check on her either! Her daddy was with her and they had a issue with the trailer hitch and she went back inside for help and finally got "Terry" apparently a service director to come out and he was a complete JERK! Such a terrible attitude! My husband preceded to tell him how dissatisfied he was in the lack of customer service when coming to pick up the trailer and could not believe someone did not offer to help her to make sure all was well at pick up. No one to help? What about a senior adult you don't help them either? So basically make the sale, and then your on your own! Figure it out your self to get it off their lot! What if she was by herself what if she hooked it up wrong? What if she had the wrong trailer ball or something?!?! what if she didn't have the right plug set up for hauling?!? No one there even cared, heck no one even cared if she was the legit person to pick up the trailer!!! And it was not even locked when she got there, anyone could have hooked up to that trailer and drove away! The hitch was not locked at all and they proceeded to say they never lock their hitches on their trailers and 5th wheels On their lot!?!? So anyone could have taken it!!! WHAT?!?! So... after Terry's BAD attitude back towards my husband after he expressed his concern my husband said well I will leave a review about this on Facebook and Terry said go ahead make sure you get my name right! Well ok!!!! So much for trying to make sure you customers leave the lot happy! Oh wait, remember they got your money they don't have to now. I highly suggest NOT buying any sort of RV from this Camper World. Unless you want to be treated like crap after they get your money! I would not even leave 1 star if I could!!! read more

The intent here is to complement the staff at Camping World and inform other RV owners of this option if their LPG refrigerator fails, or if they want to change over to an electric refrigerator. Our infamous Norcold 1210LR finally died. Since there are safety issues with LPG refrigerators we decided to go with an electric home refrigerator. Having a 40' coach we thought we had plenty of room. We selected 5 models that we thought would fit. We went into Camping World in Summerfield, FL to get a quote for the installation. We met with Rachel, the service advisor who was most helpful. Rachael asked Tom the service manager to look at the location for the fridge in our coach. We felt that Tom took a genuine interest in solving our problem. He took several measurements and said that we needed a smaller refrigerator. He knew what we wanted and did his best to accommodate our needs. Tom recommended that we see JR in RV sales and look at some RVs on the lot. JR showed us some of the home electric refrigerators that were being put in the larger RVs. Rachel got quite involved and checked the internet. She found an 18cf Samsung, French doors with a bottom freezer that we previously considered. We also noticed the same model in one of the large 5th wheels on the lot. Rachael even called local appliance stores to see if one was in stock. (She even picked up a lunch for us one day while we waited for the installation to be completed.) The refrigerator was drop shipped directly from the warehouse to Camping World. Tom and his service tech John Reidt checked the location for the install and offered options. John had installed many replacement and custom refrigerators over the past 20 years. He knew what to do. If we removed the two drawers below the old refrigerator it would fit. It took John 2 days to remove, prep the space and install the new refrigerator. It was quite a task. The large side widow in the coach had to be removed to get the old unit out and the new one in. The LPG had to be capped off and a "draw down test" performed on the LPG line. The old platform and the supports had to be removed. Several wires, the power receptacle, and water line were moved. Wires on the main power panel had to be rerouted to allow the refrigerator to run off the inverter. The power cord to the refrigerator had to be extended. The positioning of the refrigerator's depth was critical. It had to be set to allow for rear ventilation. It needed to have enough clearance for the doors to properly open without coming in contact with the walls. Support brackets were installed in several places front and rear with a final trim nicely placed on two front sides. It looked like it was done at the factory where the coach was built. John was quit diligent in his approach and all aspects of the job. He kept us appraised of the progress. We now run the new refrigerator off the inverter when dry camping. So far the overnight draw on the batteries is working. John gets 5 stars for the job. The high labor rate (even with the 10% discount) and high prices for the additional parts and materials made this 4 stars. Especially being charged $45 for the courtesy coach wash. How can it be a courtesy wash if they charge for the wash? We declined. During our three nights at Camping World we dry camped in their parking lot. It would have been nice if they had power for those customers staying overnight. Would we return for future service? Yes. read more

We purchased our 2018 Thor Windsport 29M from this store. So far we love our new RV it was worth the drive from Delaware, you just cant beat the Florida prices. We will be back in November for a few small warranty issues. read more

Granted, this was an easy fix. But thank God somebody was on the ball. My new pickup started acting weird yesterday and was told by the AAA tow guy that it was my trailer braking mechanism that Camping World installed. He told the Chevy dealership the same thing, so they would not touch my truck and instead of them checking it, they took the tow guys diagnosis of my truck. So I ended up having my new hauled up to camping world in Summerfield, which caused me so much anxiety. Long story short after it was onloaded the technician took a look and saw that my 4 wheel drive had been accidently turned on. So after all the running around Camping World found and fixed my problem, not the car dealership. And they were nice enough to not even charge me. Being that it was my first pickup, it did not even occur to me that it might be something like that. Thank goodness for honest people! Back in February 2019, I needed to quickly bring my dad's RV to Camping World (The Villages, Summerfield, FL) on consignment before I flew back home out of state later that afternoon. At my dad's age, he was unable to transact this deal. A salesman I contacted was very helpful and responsive to get the coach over there and evaluated before we needed to fly out. But that's where the good experience ended. We agreed on a contract price (LOWBALL for sure) for the coach that I would receive upon a sale. I was told the coach would be detailed for sale, inside and out. It basically got an outside power wash and NOTHING on the inside--not even removing the personal stuff I had no time to do. The tires were not even pumped up. A friend there had verified this--it was CLEARLY not presentable for sale. Later, when an offer came in, I was asked to accept LESS than the contract price as this was a "cash" buyer. My thought was that the dealer needed to accept less if they wanted sell the RV--HELLO???--we had a contract for MY share of the sale!! Come to find out, the cash buyer was not one at all--rather, I got the pressure to take the offer for an AS IS sale since they had taken 3 days to qualify this buyer for a loan--all in the same text from this salesman!! A LIE ABOUT A CASH BUYER to get me to take less than we had contractually agreed. Also, there was some water damage repairs needed--but little effort to pursue/rectify this and make it presentable was made. I had to constantly dog them down to get updates and ask about status. The RV sat there for 3 months during prime selling season with some decent exposure to buyers and no sale due these issues--the salesman even told me "they were experts at sales and knew how to handle these issues with prospective buyers" APPARENTLY NOT!! Camping World didn't lift a finger to make this happen; they just made excuses for the lack of a sale and blamed the condition of the RV that they made virtually no effort with me to solve. Finally, I had our friends go retrieve the coach to try somewhere else--then CW lost a set of the RV keys and have yet to do anything about it. Our friends got the run around and wasted a lot of time there waiting. Worst experience ever--the salesman even suggested that I should come a get it to try to sell it privately. They wanted it out of there. BAD communication, DISHONEST communication, LAME customer service. DON'T sell/trade-in/consign your RV with these guys--typical sales BS and lies to make a buck!! read more

If you expect a return call, take your business somewhere else. Took r.v. in after receiving call that an ordered part was in and traveled app. 2 hrs. after first calling about it being installed. No return call after calling them 4 times. Took in unit and was told it had to be left over night. Needless to say, I left without the work being done. Went in to look at some motorhomes and not one person said hello or can I help you. There was one or two customers and me. The sales people looked at me up and down but didn't come over. I look young for my age and I was dressed in jeans and t-shirt. A man came in and was older then me and the sales person jumped up and ran out to say hello to him. I was there walking around for 20min and nothing. So I went to a lady at the cash register to tell her and she said sorry and nothing else. Like can I get you someone to help you. I feel that this place judges their customers on how they look and if they have money. I will not give this place my business. read more

HORRIBLE service!!!! My husband and I purchased a brand new $50k camper from this location a month ago and sadly it has been in the shop more than our family has been able to actually use it. The service department is TERRIBLE. We took our camper on a Thanksgiving trip the same week we bought it and found a whole number of wiring issues. Once we returned home we took it to the service department where they had it a week and ensured us that the issues where resolved. Believing what they said was true we soon found out that it was NOT!! The camper was once again taken to the service department and has now been there for over a week. My husband has called many times to check on the status of the camper where he is then told he will receive a call back, which we do NOT! We have spoken to both service managers Dan and Victor who have also given us the run around. The girl at the reception desk has apologized on many occasions for their lack of concern and follow through. Reading a lot of these reviews on here and Google, it seems like the same issue with everyone. I can promise one thing our family will NEVER purchase another product from Camping World. Save your family the hassle and aggravation and search elsewhere. You deserve better than lies and frustration!! read more

We had just picked the trailer up on Tuesday Oct 18, I began to repack the trailer and found the entire kitchen base, entertainment center, and wardrobe by the bunks all have damage. I immediately took pictures and forwarded them to the Dealer and Manufacturer. Went on our camping trip the following week. Took trailer back up to Dealer to take pictures upon our return, to which they found the bathroom also is damaged and I asked to keep the trailer until all parts are ordered. So come January 22nd still no updates from Dealer. Emailed Advisor - who no longer is my advisor and Manufacturer. No call back, as usual from Dealer and Manufacturer said only the kitchen base cabinet was ordered and approved. So now the calls start again. 5 or 6 calls later and now the Manager finally called on Monday 2/13 and left a message and we are playing phone tag since. I contacted a lawyer to get involved to help us with this awful situation. So stressful and the Dealer has no regard to the fact that they sold us a defected camper that now they don't seem to care about getting repaired. They are a one star only because you have to choose at least one. read more
