The Argentinian shrimp was my favorite dish - it had Asian flavors with a dominant ginger flavor. The ravioli had massive amounts of walnuts on it and was like having dessert pasta. I wish it had come out at the end, but we ended with the tonarelli, which had a nice salty seafood flavor with the clams. There's not a whole lot of clams in it but it had great flavor. For our main course, we ordered the seafood paella which was amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the mango cheesecake and lemon sorbet for dessert. The restaurant is tightly packed, intimate, and has a great atmosphere for a date night dinner or dinner with friends. The waiters were attentive and very helpful when ordered. The chef also came around near the end of our dinner to ask how our meal was.

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The lasagna arrived split in half, making it more of a 50-layer dish. One side was burnt to the point of being inedible, and overall, it was underwhelming. At $28 on its own or $15 when ordered with an appetizer, I expected better. The chicken tagliatelle was completely flavorless, and the flat iron steak, ordered medium rare, was way too chewy. Portions across the board were small. As for the appetizer, we tried the tuna albacore. It was plated nicely, but the taste was nothing special. Service was okay--not bad, but nothing that stood out. The positives is that it's a pretty space, food was plated nicely with cutlery on each plate for sharing. Overall, La Palma didn't redeem itself from my first visit. Between the inconsistent food quality, small portions, and lack of flavor, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.
