After a walk along the waterfront, this is a nice restaurant to stop at for a drink. They have a large patio with warmers as the temperature dips after the sun sets. We took advantage of the warm weather and sat in the patio to soak up some sun. Drinks are reasonable as you can get 1/2 pint for $5 or a pint for $8. After some drinks, we ordered a round of food. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. I had the veal panini, and the base sandwich comes with the breaded veal, tomato sauce and bread. I decided to add mushrooms to it. The dish came out cold and therefore rather unappetizing. My first bite wasn't even lukewarm. Also, how is it a panini if it served in a baguette without being pressed? My partner's baked panzerotti was better as it came warm with a tomato sauce that was quite nice. However, he added pepperoni to his order and they were all squished and folded together at a corner of the pocket. He spent most of the time just eating cheese and sauce. Fabulous view of downtown Toronto from the patio of this restaurant that serves solid Italian seafood. They do nice portions with good amount of seafood. The grilled prawns and calamari appetizer with panko crumbs is tasty and can be shared with 2 people. However the staff (waiter) brought my food last after delay with others on the table receiving their food prior to me despite me being the first person to order. They didn't bring everyone's food together. secondly the cajun salmon fettuccine had the fish in bite size (instead of a full fillet) and was so greasy I could not bear to eat it fully and neither did I do a takeaway! Been to Eden several times now and I have to say the ambiance is lovely. The outdoor patio overlooks the lake. They don't take reservations and on busy evening there are line ups. The bruschetta pizza is absolutely delicious, the crust was crispy and it had ample amount of toppings. We stopped by here tonight after swimming and had a really nice time. It's quite challenging to get a parking spot but once you do, you'll have a great evening. The Ambiance: The ambiance is really nice outside on the patio and inside the restaurant. Inside the restaurant they have a really nice stairwell, bar and high glance windows with a view of Lake Ontario. The Food: The food was really good. We ordered the Warm Seafood Salad and the Spaghetti Pescatore. Warm Seafood Salad: The Warm Seafood Salad was really good but it was a bit light for an entree. I think next time we will have to share a salad and get two main entrees. I really enjoyed how the salad was warm and how it came with Arugala, Cherry Tomatoes, Grilled Calamari, Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Moroccan Octopus, and a Lemon Olive Oil Emulsion. Spaghetti Pescatore: My fiancé ordered the Spaghetti Pescatore and he really liked it. He chose the red wine sauce and really enjoyed the clams, muscles, shrimp and calamari mixed into his pasta. He said it was really good and he would order it again. Mango Sorbeto: The mango sorbeto was great. It was both gluten and dairy free and it was the perfect way to celebrate my fiancés birthday. The restaurant brought it out with a candle and it was perfect. The Service: We found the service a little bit slow (our waiter forgot about us when we were sitting outside and the waitress inside also forgot about us) but we still had a good time. Tge employee walking around filling everyone's water and the manager were the two most attentive employees who both deserve a 5-star rating. Got calamari and bruschetta and it was *CHEF KISSES*!!! The seasoning on the tomatoes are just TOP NOTCH and it is SO GOOD on the toasted baguette. I had some before I go to bed and was just drooling over them and couldn't wait to wake up again to eat the other box! Came here to get a coffee during Covid. I got a cappuccino, and and an espresso for takeout. Both were really good! However, with tax the order came to over $9!! The machine asked for tip/gratuity of 15,18,20% or other. After selecting other, and 0$ the machine asked if I wanted to changed my mind and give a tip. Beautiful view and great ambiance. The food was good, descent sized portion as well as the service. We went with a group of 15ish and had a private area to ourselves. Our server was really nice and offered to take multiple photos and videos of us throughout the evening. It's too bad this place doesn't have better coffee because, as an Italian restaurant, they really should! It was almost undrinkable; I'm I'm unsure if it's the coffee brand, but it was seriously yucky! My caprese salad was decent, nothing to write home about, the bread was the best thing, and my friend's pasta looked alright. He ate it, but I didn't hear him rave about it. I think the food is passable. This place could be a top-notch restaurant due to the location and lakeshore view, but it feels like the owners don't care about it being outstanding! I travel to Rome and worldwide, so my standards for Italian food are high, but I've had excellent Italian food in Toronto! I'd likely never eat there again if it weren't for the location. It's mediocre food at best, and even the biscotti tasted cheap. It's a real shame they don't care about having top-notch quality because it could be one of my favourite places, as it used to be several years ago. The coffee & biscotti ruined it for me. The service is absolutely awful! It's slow and staff is rude! This is especially true for staff working behind the counter. I always feel like I'm inconveniencing them for ordering food, they are very curt and dismissive, or straight up ignore you. Although some dishes are good here (gnocchi), some are absolutely inedible (risotto) and had to be thrown in the trash immediately. I feel like most people only come here because the location is convenient but otherwise this place is mediocre at best. read more

It was a perfect summer late afternoon. A friend needed cheering up so we went to nearby Eden. Had been there for drinks a few times but this was the first dining experience. Came to this place for lunch yesterday. Had no idea it was even here. It's hidden away amongst all of the condos on lakeshore west. Nice view of the lake with a nice breeze if you're eating outside. Service was great, we were seated with drinks within minutes. We ordered bruschetta with cheese to start. Large pieces of baguette with a tasty garlicky tomato mixture, topped with mozzarella cheese. Then we split the beet and kale salad. Came with a glorious bit dollop of goat cheese and sliced almonds. My only complaint is the almonds should have been toasted. Would have put the salad over the top. We then each had a bowl of soup. I had the Italian egg drop. Crazy salty but I'm a crazy salt person so I loved it. I can't imagine everyone would. Lunch date had the lentil. Had a bit of a Indian spice. Was a little different where it wasn't an expected purée but it was still good. I would definitely recommend this place. Our first time at Eden and it was a very pleasant one. We sat out on the patio and had an awesome sever named Dawn. She kept the night so enjoyable. Her suggestions for food were soo spot on. I had the seafood risotto, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it. A ton of seafood and great flavour. As an app we had the grilled calamari, OMG such flavour a must have. The white sangria is a delicious option for a drink and shareable. Though we never had one, I will come back to try one, the pizzas look so dam delicious. And smell amazing. Located in an area which hasn't gained notoriety yet, or so I think, I find this place to be a hidden gem if you want to have drinks or dessert with a view. This restaurant is located where all the motels used to be by Parklawn, but now, the area has developed to resemble Harbourfront or Port Credit on a smaller scale. The place is located below a low rise condo building. It has two levels and a patio. Sat on the first level and had an awesome view of the lake and boardwalk. The view is great and it makes you feel like you are on vacation with all the people walking, cycling, rollerblading etc. This is a great place to unwind with a great view. I ordered the the papardelle which was recommended by the server and it was average. Not impressed. There was no fresh grated cheese or freshly ground pepper provided. The pasta itself was quite limp and really squishy. Chilli flakes and parmesan cheese were on the table. I also had the coffee which was served on a clear glass. I found it a bit odd as it made it look as if the coffee was an iced coffee. I asked for cream and expected it to be in its own mini container, but it was the plastic disposable kind. Overall, the coffee was ok, not what I expected from an Italian restaurant, because I expect the Italian restaurant to have invested in an amazing espresso machine. The coffee also turned cold quick, perhaps because of the glass it was served in. What saves this place though is the dessert and pizza. The pizza was great, I loved it. Great flavour, thin crust, just the right crispness. The dessert I ordered was the apple crepe. Note there is no dessert menu, you just walk up to the display. But back to the crepe, the crepe was fluffy, not too sweet and delightful. Also had a taste of the roasted peanut chocolate caramel cake and it's definitely very rich. If you order this, you better save room in your tummy. They also had gelato which was in eye view facing the boardwalk, which is great as you can just walk in if you are in the area walking, cycling or rollerblading by the lake. I also tried the bruschetta with salmon and capers. It was average. They provide a bread basket as well. It was also average as it was not freshly baked or warm. Great location, right by Lake Ontario! You have a nice view of the water - a great place to watch young couples walk by, dogs prance around the park and light joggers glide down the sidewalk! If weather permits, grab a seat outdoors! The food was average at most - limited breakfast menu. I ordered the eggs Florentine- was definitely disappointed. The home fries came out cold and the Benedict was bland. The spinach was extremely bitter so I had to take most of it off and the hollandaise sauce was very starchy. Prices are average as well as the size of the portions. You can grab a quick meal for about 15$ and a coffee or side for under 3$. This is definitely a hit spot during the summer, as you can walk along the sidewalk! A nice eatery for a modern palate. I'm giving it 3 stars because the food is overpriced, flavors were underwhelming and the space in my booth was very limiting! The servers were very friendly and attentive! The bread that was served was delicious! I'll definitely say that! My mojito did not have a strong enough amount of alcohol added - practically nonexistent. I ordered a pizza with pineapple and ham (Hawaiian) for myself and my mom. It was okay. After falling victim to time I needed to make a quick reservation for my Aunts 60th birthday. I had two days prior to the event and everywhere was booked. I decided to try out Edens after hearing a few people talking about it. The manager Andrei was really nice and accommodating. He created a smaller menu for us as we had a large group and was willing to help us in every way; by getting a high chair ready, allowing us to sit upstairs or downstairs. Andrei sent me several emails going back and fourth regarding all of the booking details making me feel very comfortable with my choices. On the day of the event we came in 30 minutes prior to our reservation and the table was already ready for us. We had an excellent waitress who recommended a very delicious Salmon fettuccini Alfredo which was creamy and fresh with a little kick to it. My brother ordered the veal with some type of noodle and it did not taste right. The hostess was very quick to remove the meal and promptly allowed him to order a new meal which was then rushed to the table so he could enjoy his meal with everyone. The service at Edens was top notch and the food was great. We had a great time and highly recommend Edens for those wanting to try. Been coming here once in a while since it's close to home and right by the lake. I typically recommend this place for friends in the area and looking for a nice place for a first date. The ambience and views are comfortable and if you're lucky enough you can get seated with a lake view. I've had dinner and brunch here in the past and I think I definitely prefer their dinner menu. Pasta and pizzas here are fairly priced and of good quality. As for service I think that depends on your luck. On the off chance, you might get a waiter whos attitude tells you they don't feel like working at all. But I've had positive experiences as well. One last note, parking might be difficult since the side parking has limited spaces shared amongst the restaurants and lake viewers . There's indoor parking around the corner by Rabbi's so that can be an option. read more

My first 5 star in Canada! I went with two friends, one male, and the other female. To start with, we had grilled calamari and a mushroom truffle on the bread. They also served us with a house made bread which is surprisingly tasty. For entree, I had the seafood risotto. I had to say it's the best seafood risotto I haven't had in years! The rice is very nicely cooked with fresh seafood flavour. There are scallop, mussel and shrimp in the course. One of my friends tasted mine and he decided to bring his own order back home as next day breakfast and ordered another risotto as dine in. For dessert, we shared a banana crepe. It's actually not sweet at all! I do not like my dessert to be very sweet. I like its texture. Very soft and smooth! I will def come back and try something else here. A co-worker had recommended this restaurant last September to take a couple of European guests there. Both our Swedish and German guests loved the food, dessert, and beer. This week, our Swedish guest returned along with another colleague. Our team at work brought them back here. This restaurant is simply the best. The first time I ate at Eden, I had the seafood risotto, which was fresh and fantastic. The risotto was perfect. I also had the tiramisu, which was yummy. It is my favourite dessert. Yesterday, I went with the butternut squash ravioli with prosciutto. It was one of the dinner special and it was tasty. The pasta was al dente and the rose sauce complemented the ravioli well. Of course, I has the tiramisu again. It was consistently delicious. Our group sampled one another's dessert. The banana cake was scrumptious. I may have to order two desserts the next time that I'm there. The view of downtown Toronto and the lake is divine! The food and beer (I had the Radler) are two of many reasons why I'd return. I am extremely happy I found this place. Finally some amazing grilled octopus that is in my neighborhood. I love the way the menu looks, I've wanted to try this place for over a year but it's tough to park down there where they're located. I ordered takeout delivery, and I was completely blown away by how delicious it was. Truffle mushroom bruschetta melt in your mouth. Seafood spaghetti with a white sauce, and if you sprinkle some of your shaved Parmesan cheese and sprinkle some bruschetta tomatoes....lol omg it's unbelievable.
