    Baked calzone

After a walk along the waterfront, this is a nice restaurant to stop at for a drink. They have a large patio with warmers as the temperature dips after the sun sets. We took advantage of the warm weather and sat in the patio to soak up some sun. Drinks are reasonable as you can get 1/2 pint for $5 or a pint for $8. After some drinks, we ordered a round of food. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. I had the veal panini, and the base sandwich comes with the breaded veal, tomato sauce and bread. I decided to add mushrooms to it. The dish came out cold and therefore rather unappetizing. My first bite wasn't even lukewarm. Also, how is it a panini if it served in a baguette without being pressed? My partner's baked panzerotti was better as it came warm with a tomato sauce that was quite nice. However, he added pepperoni to his order and they were all squished and folded together at a corner of the pocket. He spent most of the time just eating cheese and sauce. Maybe we will come for drinks and not for food next time.

Been to Eden several times now and I have to say the ambiance is lovely. The outdoor patio overlooks the lake. They don't take reservations and on busy evening there are line ups. The bruschetta pizza is absolutely delicious, the crust was crispy and it had ample amount of toppings. This was probably our favourite Chicken parmigiana, the chicken was tasty the pasta was alright. The mushroom risotto was flavourful. Service was great!

Disclaimer: THIS IS A DELIVERY REVIEW I live very far from Eden Trattoria so I actually would never go there in person before I got their delivery. Got calamari and bruschetta and it was *CHEF KISSES*!!! The seasoning on the tomatoes are just TOP NOTCH and it is SO GOOD on the toasted baguette. I had some before I go to bed and was just drooling over them and couldn't wait to wake up again to eat the other box! The calamari is very good too, I was a little disappointed when I saw shrimp because I only wanted calamari, but the shrimp was actually so good, well seasoned and they r so generous with the lemon piece Now I gotta find time to go there in person! 10/10

Beautiful view and great ambiance. The food was good, descent sized portion as well as the service. We went with a group of 15ish and had a private area to ourselves. Our server was really nice and offered to take multiple photos and videos of us throughout the evening. I ordered the chicken parm with a side of caesar salad instead of pasta and it was pretty good.

Nice view Restaurent under condos at Etobicoke lake shore and it was raining on Friday night and couldn't take any picture . Overall foods are really tasty except the crème brûlée! Definitely, I will come back again.

13" pizza, grilled octopus, Sangria. Quite impressed.

It was a perfect summer late afternoon. A friend needed cheering up so we went to nearby Eden. Had been there for drinks a few times but this was the first dining experience. The hostess service and table service were just fine on the patio. We enjoyed white wine Sangria, grilled octopus and a delicious pizza. The weather and people-watching was great as well.

Great location, but felt a bit run down, and the food was not great value for money. Wouldn't consider going here again.

Food was so good I forgot to take more photos!…read more We visited LaVinia last week for dinner. We ordered the grilled chorizo and ham croquettes tapas. The ham croquettes were delicious and paired with an amazing garlic aioli. The grilled chorizo was also great but the garlic aioli muted the chorizo taste unfortunately. We also had the arugula and pear salad which was topped with Stilton cheese. We really enjoyed it. For our main course, we ordered the seafood paella which was amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the mango cheesecake and lemon sorbet for dessert. The restaurant is tightly packed, intimate, and has a great atmosphere for a date night dinner or dinner with friends. The waiters were attentive and very helpful when ordered. Food: (5 stars) Tapas: - Croquetas de Iberico: Iberico Croquettes with Basil Oil - $18.95 (5 stars): My favorite thing on the menu, so creamy and tasty. - Mejillones al Vapor: Fresh Mussells Steamed in Spanish Beer - $15.75 (5 stars) My very close second favorite thing on the menu: amazing taste of the sauce. - Croquetas de Cangrejo: Crab Croquettes with a Piquillo Pepper Aioli - $17.95 (4 stars) - They were good but not as good as other things on the menu. - Calamares a la Plancha: Grilled Calamari with Chilli oil - $16.75 (4.5 stars) IT is a tad spicy, but great flavour and texture. Would recommend it. - Carpaccio de Ternera: Veal Carpaccio with Manchego and Mushrooms - $19.75 (4.5 stars) Great flavour and overlapping of the flavours. - Cazuela de Espinacas - Baked Spinach with Goat Cheese - $17.75 (4.5 stars) Very tasty and great mixture of all the flavours. Mains: All the mains are very large, definitely for more than 1 person. - Paella Valenciana: Spanish Saffron Rice with Chorizo, Chicken and Seafood - $26.75 (5 stars) the best of the main meals, the chorizo was giving it a really nice kick. - Paella de Marisco: Spanish Saffron Rice with Shrimp, Calamari, Mussels, Scallops, Monkfish and Clams $29.75 (4.5 stars) - lots of seafood, it was good a tad too runny - Arroz Verde: Scallops, Asparagus, Porcini Mushrooms, Spinach and Pesto $32.75 (3.5 stars): it was good, but too many mixed flavours, would likely not order again. Ambiance: (5 stars) They have indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor has a thick wooden fence around it, so you do not feel like you are sitting on the street. Service: (5 stars) Very friendly staff, very attentive.

The tapas are really good, though dishes did come out a bit on the slower side. We ordered the Sea Bream Ceviche and chips, quarter Octopus and Patatas Bravas. The highlight was the ceviche. The octopus was unfortunately a little overdone, which made it tough. I would absolutely not order the patatas bravas again. The potatoes were very dry and tasted as if they had been sitting out for some time. We also sat at the bar and had a few ordered of cocktails with the food. Be aware that the bar itself slopes down towards you. With that being said, my partner put her drink down on the sloped part and it fell all over both of us, with the bartender seeing it all unfold. He was nice in providing some extra napkins to dry ourselves off, but all he had to offer was "Yup that happens a lot" as opposed to maybe offering to remake the drink which was now 2/3 empty as a result. Was a little disappointed at that service in particular, especially when you're paying upwards of $18 for a small cocktail. The atmosphere was good, however. IF I were to give it another try, I'd probably just opt for drinks and skip the food, which was a little pricier for what you're getting portion-wise and quality.

We were intrigued by it's fusion tapas style, even though we had originally thought that it was a Spanish tapas place. I was with a party of six, and we were served by an extremely friendly server that night. We ordered some tacos, flatbreads and a mango papaya salad. Each dish was quite well prepared, and since it was a mix of a lot of different cultures' foods, I was satisfied with the level of authenticity. However, because they were trying to do a lot of different styles, I feel like the quality was not as good as if they did something more focused. Also, I think it would be worth it to consider some more substantial dishes like a fried rice, etc. I know it's a tapas focused place, but I found that for a party of 6, I still didn't feel too satisfied after trying all the dishes we got. I hope that they can continue to upgrade their menu, because I think it's a really nice place already, but improvements can be made. I also think that since it's mostly serve in a back alley patio right now, there were a lot of wasps and it wasn't the cleanest back alley, so that is my other reason for giving this place 3 stars. I'm sure that when they get back to serving in their unit, the quality of the experience will go up!

Back to why I do this. I'm endlessly curious about food, people, and the magic that happens when great meals meet good music. Friendships just seem to evolve naturally around a table. And thank you, E, for another incredible photo -- your choices are always perfect. Mercado on St. Clair is a hidden gem. What was once beside my mom's flower shop downtown has now found a home in a slightly more industrial setting on Caledonia -- and somehow, it works perfectly. Cozy seating inside, a great covered patio outside, and that village-style European restaurant vibe you hope to stumble across. First off, the waiter was phenomenal. He walked us through the menu, explained everything perfectly, and genuinely elevated the whole experience. The menu is massive -- meat, seafood, everything you could want -- but we came for the paella. We were told it takes time because they make it the proper way. Not overly crispy, just authentic, rich, and layered with flavour. Worth every minute of the wait. To start, we had the gambas / shrimp in a rich red garlic and herb sauce plus extra toasted bread for dipping, per our waiter's recommendation. Absolute rockstar move. The other appetizer was a delicious beef stew served over crunchy rustic bread. Simple, hearty, and top notch. Now... drum roll please. This may have been the best paella I've ever had. Okay okay, maybe somewhere along the coast in Spain I've had one fresher... but this was absolutely off the charts. Zero fishy smell. Just beautiful saffron-infused rice with that perfect slight crisp, loaded with mussels, clams, octopus, calamari, shrimp, and more. Built for two people to share and completely unforgettable. A few glasses of house white later and bam - there was absolutely no chance I was going back to work. And dessert? I kept telling myself: "No dessert, Frank. No dessert." But there's a rule in life ; if you see crème brûlée on a menu, you order it. This wasn't exactly crème brûlée, but a cheesecake-inspired version of it. Our favourites were the oxtail pintxo, bravas, wagyu, churros, and flan--each of these really stood out and delivered on flavour. That said, I was especially excited for the paella, and it unfortunately fell short. I've had better paella from a food truck, and for much cheaper. Between the chicken and striploin, we preferred the chicken as it had a more cohesive flavour. The striploin was cooked closer to rare when we asked for medium rare, making it tough to eat, and the rice itself was quite bland. On a positive note, the service was lovely--attentive, warm, and accommodating throughout the night. Our server checked in often without being intrusive and made the experience feel polished and welcoming. Overall, while the ambience and service made for a great evening, the food didn't quite justify the price for me. Not sure I'd return, but still a nice spot if you're looking for a good atmosphere.
