    Carne Asada Quesadilla - excellent
    Jamie S.

WOW! Are you tired of looking for authentic Mexican food in Idaho? Look no further than- Campos on Lonestar! By far the best Mexican food I've had in Idaho. We got chips & salsa, a carne asada quesadilla, and a carnitas burrito. You order at the counter at the back of the market and even though it was busy, our food came out in a few short minutes. Tender, flavorful meat, fresh tortillas, house made chips. This is the place you want to be to have REAL Mexican food. It reminds me of a whole in the wall place that is the neighborhood secret. They also do phone orders and door dash.

Want yummy homemade tacos made on tortillas that are made to order? Then run don't walk to Lonestar!! Want burritos big enough for 4 normal humans? Yep! They got those too! We got the Pollo,Carne, & Carnitas tacos.. Got the easily 2 lb Carne burrito.. And got some of those homemade tortillas fresh to take home Oh! And there's a little truck in the parking lot sells all kinds of delicious authentic treats! We snagged some Mexican street corn cause what goes better with tacos? And if it's in stock grab the house made Pico De Galo & Guacamole! Your tummy will thank you!

STREET TACOS! If that is what you seek, well here is the spot. Fellow Yelp reviews said "best carne asada tacos in the valley", ok I will take that challenge! It was confirmed I was in the right spot when out of the two dozen people eating inside I was the only white guy. Roll in and pass by the long meat case, oh yeah this is gonna be good! Walk up to the counter to order and greeted with the largest chicharrón I've ever seen. Of course I need a couple carne asada tacos and I also decide to get a little out of my comfort zone and order a lengua huarraches. Food comes out and none of it is stengy with the meat, it's piled on. Dig into the tacos and the first thing you notice is the incredibly fresh and soft corn tortillas. Meat is amazing and the homemade red and green sauces are awesome. Now time for lengua, my first time trying beef tongue. As most report, the flavor is awesome. Very tender. I saw some comments food came out slow, well not my experience. Food was fast. Inside is nothing special, handful of tables and booths. On your way our grab some carne asada to make tacos at home!

So disappointed and ruined lunch! I ordered a carnitas torta (Mexican sandwich) and it was terrible. I tried eating it because I was starving but it's impossible. The bread was burnt, the carnitas were hard and stale. The lettuce tasted old and there were only three small pieces of avocado.

    Good lunch!

I love Campos on Lonestar! They have yummy food and reasonable price. I love everything that they have; taco, sopes, huaraches, chili relleno, burrito & their carnitas! Their cafe is located toward the back of the store. It's just like a simple, small cafeteria feeling with a few booth & chairs.

tacos are good! Atleast $3.00 tacos. The Al pastor is actually adobada. I realized it after I didn't see the trompo or the spit w meat.
