We've been coming to Campos Market for many years. It's go to for hard to find produce like cactus and papayas. Besides the fruit, there are all sorts of interesting finds, so if you are going for the first time, trust me, take some time to check out all the aisles. Starting from left to right, the first aisle has cookware. Ever seen clay dishes, pots, and cups perhaps from Spanish Novelas on Telemundo or Univision, yeah, those are in stock. Looking for a wood crafted tortilla maker, they have it. Maybe you need a pot. ( Not that kinda pot ) but a pot to cook chicharrones, yeah they have that too plus the paddle to boot. There's all sorts of spices and chilies and hot sauces. I would recommend the El Yucateco Mayan Recipe. Yum! The next aisle over is baking goods, canned goods and of course tortillas. I do miss the Casa Valdez tortillas as they were really good. The next aisle over is Mexican candy and all sorts of Mexican drinks. Sweet! The last aisle is homeware and personal care. There are three freezers where you can find fish, octopus, and sometimes goat. Then there's all the fruits and veggies. The meat counter has everything ranging from Skirt steak to Sausage to chicken and more. There's a refrigerator full of beer and other drinks then there's....... An eatery. You can order food and eat inside or take it to go. On the weekends, it super busy so either get there early to get a table or get there late and take it to go. It's as legit as you are going to find in the Treasure Valley and my only gripe is that it is not really stocked with Mexican sweet breads as it should. Get your Campos Market on.

Added a little lime and pickled jalapeños to go with my asada burrito (no beans). Best lunch I've had in a LONG time.

Oh my! I am so thankful for my coworkers telling me about this wonderful place! I already can't wait to visit again. I arrived today for lunch. I wanted an asada burrito.. and let me tell you, I got my asada burrito. It reminded me so much of my favorite little market back home, it just made my heart sing. I am not a fan of beans, so my burrito consisted of meat, rice and a cilantro onion mix. They served the burrito with verde and rojo salsa on the side. I liked them both.. so I alternated the salsas with my bites. One thing I personally added to my burrito was fresh lime juice and pickled jalapeños. It's what I did back home and I have zero regrets. I are the entire thing as well (again, no regrets). The market is great. There are a variety of drinks as well as cervesa. During my visit, I purchased some pastor meat as well as asada to take home and cook. Their butcher has some amazing looking meats. I've also heard wonderful things about their marinated pollo. Again, my heart is so happy that I have found this establishment. I have certainly fulfilled my crave for a good burrito.

An aging little market that is AOK for what it is, but doesn't carry what I need to buy and inevitably I compare it to the Mexican markets I shopped at in other venues where I've lived, worked and visited. With Plaza Latina in Eugene likely my favorite of them all as the 'gold standard', the best I can do is a two star rating for my grocery gathering experience here. Which is simply my context perspective and no knock on the market. Based on other reviews for the tacos and tortas, had my husband and I been there for the prepared food and not grocery products we may have had a different experience. Campos clearly serves a local neighborhood community of folks, although if the day of my visit was a usual one for clientele, more than half spoke neither English nor Spanish as their first language which was surprising. My ongoing surprise being a relative newcomer to the Treasure Valley is for what an important role is played by people with Mexican heritage in many of the jobs in the area and the size of the population that speaks Spanish as their first language, there don't seem to be the same kind of Mexican markets and Mexican food venues here as in other places I've called home. I was in search of fresh tortillas. None available here and I found similar brands in plastic bags as I might find at any standard grocery. I also thought I would pick up cookies to feed the nice guys who were painting my house (the Benjamin Moore paint store is right across the street and Campos caught my eye while I waited to have paint mixed) since one of the signs painted in the window said panaderia. So I was also disappointed to find the bread and bakery products in a small case to the left of the entry door seemed not baked there and no sweets or cookies in the mix. There is a meat market in the back of the store and the product looked fresh. A few tables in that same location and food is available to purchase to eat there, although we didn't do that. Our hunt and gather included produce with fresh chiles among them and some other items to make Mexican food dishes. With all respect to the foods who own this and work hard at it, most of the limited produce looked well past prime, boxes were stacked in the aisles and the product on shelves were the same brands one can buy in most standard grocery stores these days. Hence the two star rating. Different strokes for different folks. My search for fresh tortillas and a good Mexican market for me continues.

Flautas, also known a taquitos or rolled tacos. Corn tortillas filled with chicken and deep fried. Avocado, cheese and crema.

If you haven't stepped inside the Campos Market you probably don't realize there's a small restaurant in the back of the building, where the Crescent Bar operated for years. Great selection of tacos and other dishes. I had an order of flautas, four corn tortillas filled with chicken and deep fried. Served with lettuce, white cheese, avocado slices and topped with crema for $5. It was very good. Look for a large selection of Jarritos Mexican pop in the cold case along with American standards. The market also has a large selection of meats and sausage at reasonable prices.

Okay, I love a good taco and campos nailed it. The atmosphere could use some work but I loved the food. Tasted authentic and the green sauce is so hot but it's to die for. I even hung around and bought stuff. Perfect if you're looking for a quick Mexican meal (cheap by the way, my tacos were $4 total). Or if you want to shop the genuine Mexican groceries and get a tub of that amazing green sauce. Marked down one star because not all of the workers wore masks and could be a bit more clean.

We dropped in for Taco Tuesday and were thoroughly impressed by both the kitchen's creativity and the charming atmosphere. The Food The star of the night was undoubtedly the OG Crispy Tacos. At a fantastic $5 Tuesday special, these are a masterclass in nostalgia done right. They feature a unique "crispy soft shell" that provides a satisfying crunch without shattering, loaded with seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, cheese, pinto beans, and a hot sauce that packs just the right punch. It's the ultimate elevated comfort food. I also branched out to try the Korean Short Rib Taco ($8). This is where Madre's "boutique" identity really shines. The richness of the short rib was beautifully offset by the acidic crunch of kimchee and pickled relish, while the peanut sauce added a creamy, nutty depth that tied the fusion profile together perfectly. Drinks & Atmosphere To wash it all down, I opted for a classic Daiquiri, which was balanced and refreshing--clearly made by someone who understands craft cocktails. My fiancé enjoyed The Bruce, a crisp, local beer that paired effortlessly with the bold spices of the tacos. And before we left, we split a margarita. The atmosphere at Madre is "quaint" in the best way possible. We chose to sit on the patio, which offers a lovely outdoor escape. The setting is so integrated with the neighborhood charm that we even had a local squirrel zip right under our feet across the patio--a moment that added a touch of whimsical, nature-filled character to our meal. Service The service was top-notch; our server was genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, ensuring our drinks stayed full and our Taco Tuesday experience was seamless. Final Verdict Madre - Boutique Taqueria manages to feel like a hidden gem while delivering world-class flavors. Whether you're there for the high-value OG specials or the more adventurous fusion offerings, you're in for a treat. We'll definitely be back for more patio time!

Such weird and potentially homophobic behavior from the waitstaff here last night. (My best friend i was with and her fiance are lesbians so i am not sure whether or not the staff's behavior had to do with that or if they are just normally this rude) Walked in with a group of friends for one of their birthdays just trying to find a place for a nice dinner. According to the waitlist we were supposed to be seated fairly quickly (within 10 minutes we were told) but we ended up waiting for about a total of 30 minutes. We waited patiently outside for about 20 and then decided to step inside to see what was going on. Waitstaff had about 4 tables that they were dealing with but there was honestly probably more servers than active tables in the restaurant, there was a NUMBER of open tables while we stood at the front confused since we were the ONLY people waiting. Not a glance from any of the servers, not a "have you been helped yet?" nothing. We continued to stand there as 3 servers bussed ONE table together which was just so completely bizarre and they clearly were trying to avoid acknowledging our presence. As a server herself, one of my friends was just completely confused as to how multiple servers came up to where we were standing to use the POS system and then walk off without saying a word to us. When my friend inquired with the waitstaff about why we hadn't been seated yet, she rudely said "YOURE ON THE WAITLIST SO YOU NEED TO WAIT". We went to the funky taco next door, who had us greeted & seated immediately. The Matador will never have our business and we certainly wont be recommending them to anyone, ever. FYI Matador, this seems like an ongoing issue for you with your hosts and servers being miserable people after looking at your one star reviews so you might want to do the same and do something about it before you continue losing out on business.

I've been here for almost 2 years and the BEST Mexican food I have found was in Twin Falls. NO I do not want to go to Twin Falls to get Mexican food, especially w/ the price of gas now. I was searching online for a new restaurant to go to for lunch and for some reason "Garibaldis Garden City" popped up. First, Garibaldis, does not really sound like a Mexican restaurant, but after reading the reviews and checking out their website, I am thinking why not...can't be any worse than Andrades, Chapala or Barrigas. Went in around noon, not crowded, but again its gorgeous outside, and I like a relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the bar, our server (bartender) Michael (who is from San Diego) was great. We really didn't need any recommendations because I already had set in my head what I was going to order. We started out with the "salsa flight", 3 different salsas, 1 smokey hot sauce, 1 more chunky and a mango habanero" which all 3 were very good. I loved that there was actually some spice and heat in all 3. Okay, the Mango it grows on you, the more you eat it the better it gets. We also ordered a maggie on the rocks w/ Casa Amigos Reposado and a ranch water with the Blanco. I also ordered the Coctel Garibaldis, which is shrimp & octopus and the shrimp was nice and large and the octopus was a nice size, NEITHER was mushy, THEY BOTH tasted so fresh (enough to share). For our main, Chicken Fajitas and Carne Asada....I normally do not like the refried beans here in Boise at the Mexican restaurants we have tried, but these beans tasted like HOME, LIKE MY MOTHER IN LAW MADE THEM~! The chicken fajitas ...there was actually MORE CHICKEN than peppers which is a 1st...and it was huge slices and chunks. My Carne Asada, OMG, huge amount and it was so flavorful, I doubt I could have done any better. NOW, I am a tortilla snob and I make my own flour tortillas, but THEY HAD SERIOUSLY LITERALLY the best DAMN corn tortillas I have tasted in YEARS! They almost look like flour, but once you taste them, incredible. We (he) ordered the Coco Flan for dessert, I don't do dessert so I ordered the Casa Azul Anejo....met 2 women drinking Maggies, we agreed, if we are going to do calories, we are drinking them and not eating them...but in all, the SERVICE, Food, the atmosphere, was all worth it. Will we go again, YOU BET, I may even have to sneak over for a few lunches by myself it was that good. Again, thanks Michael, you were on Point!
