Came in while it was relatively busy. Was seated quickly but the guy took a while to come over. Then he started working but didn't say anything me, he was arguing with (I assume) his manager across the room. A girl came in soon and was seated with me for the same guy who had just started on me. She had to wait for my guy the whole time as other people came in and got started. This guy was clearly disgruntled and took it out on my nails. He shoved at my cuticles so hard it hurt then cut some so bad they bled - didn't even look apologetic. Every thing he did was deft and angry/sloppy. But I was talking to the girl next to me to try and alleviate the tense/angry atmosphere this quiet argument was creating. At the end my nails were the wrong shade, shape, and length. My cuticle was still bleeding. There was polish and top coat hanging over the sides of my nails, and finally, I got a sad 20 second angry "massage" for my hands and arms and left with no intention of coming back ever. read more

Most every trip here has been delightful! Bon is such an amazing technician! She always does a thorough job and makes sure that I'm happy with my manicure. I appreciate the fact that I almost always can walk in without an appointment. I have had one or two manicures that aren't top notch, but for the most part, they are always done well. read more

Amazing Service! I live in NC but was visiting in Columbia, SC. I broke my nail and they repaired it in 15 minutes. I have the SNS dipping powder on my natural nails so it's difficult to find salons that carry the SNS product as well as use it accurately. Because I broke the nail I required a tip too! To repair was only $4 total. Although the shape could have been better executed, I'm very pleased. Since I visit SC often I'll be back. They also have over 200 color choices for SNS which is amazing! read more

I was so happy to find campus nails by my new home. The place is clean and they have a ton of colors. I have been a loyal customer for a year and have referred friends. I'm sad to say I will have to find a new salon. Each time, I am rushed and it is not a relaxing expierence. Today I asked for rounded nails and came out with nails more squared than when I went in. The owner is more concerned with listening to his employees and marking off a spreadsheet instead of listening to his customers. I have never felt welcomed or pampered there. I understand they are busy and things can get hectic, but I have felt rushed when there are only 2 of us in the salon. I have even mentioned this to the owner, nothing has changed. read more

Very very disappointing, as a native speaker let me tell you that the nail technicians here DO talk about you. I was visiting from California and needed a nail touch up so I decided to stop here for a quick fill. I called ahead to check prices and the gentleman over the phone told me it'll be $30 for a gel fill. During my visit not only was the technician very rough with my hands, he filed four nails crooked ! After I told him, he went to correct it with a lot of attitude. (Btw... I requested coffin shaped) Halfway through the process my guy started asking me if I was from around, and I said no I was visiting from CA. Big mistake !! A few minutes later I heard my technician discussing prices with the male technician beside him, YES I'M VIETNAMESE AND CAN UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING ! They both threw some numbers around about how much EXTRA they should charge me since I requested a nail shape and finalized on a whopping +$10!!! Never have I ever been charged for requesting a nail shape !!! Ladies beware !! Oh! And not to mention that before they settled on the price the other technician asked me "have you ever been here before?" trying to get an insight if I would notice the difference in price or not. Finally the man working on my nails looked at me and asked if I was Korean... NOPE ! I heard everything you said !!! The color I chose was pretty light so I asked for a few more coats and best believe I got a LOT of attitude with it. After everything was done the technician quickly threw some oil on my hands and gave me the fat $40 bill. Honestly, I've been to MANY MANY different salons and this is possibly the worst. Maybe I came at a bad timing (Monday afternoon) or maybe he was having a bad day with other guests. Regardless, this is absolutely no way to treat your customers. It was obvious that the presence of guests irritated him for he gave a huge sigh everything someone walked in. Ladies BEWARE of extra charges, this place robbed and took advantage of the fact that I was from out of town. They have no shame charging people more regardless if they know it or not!!! read more

This was one of the worst nail experiences I have ever had. I have been coming to campus nails for almost 2 years now and after the experience I had, I will not return. After being upset with me for pointing out that the color I asked for was not the color on my nails I was treated rudely. To make matters worse the technician continued to remove my polish aggressively and I left with almost every single one of my cuticles bleeding. To make matters worse my blood was on the different tools and put back in the container with the rest. This is unsanitary, rude and behavior that should not be permitted. This place came highly recommend to me from a friend. I went last Saturday and got a pedicure. It was the worst one I ever received. The lady was extremely rough to the point that I was waiting on toes to start bleeding when she pushed my cuticles back. And the rest of the experience was just as bad and rushed. So I thought maybe bc it was a Saturday and they were busy that they were just having a off day. Well yesterday I let my daughter go get manicure for the first time. She was done in 10 minutes. They didn't soak her hands are give her a massage. They basically nipped her nails and painted them. Needles to say it was done half a$$ again. I would give this place of business three out of five stars solely because the guy I had was great. He was meticulous and also made sure I didn't mess up my newly polished toes. Now, while he was working on my feet there was another patron getting her nails done and she didn't feel like the woman who worked on her nails shaped them the way she liked. The woman that did her nails continued to argue the patron down and actually began to get loud also until reluctantly taking her to make the corrections. The woman still had an attitude and in the end a male worker took over and the patron left dissatisfied. If not for my great experience, I wouldn't be returning. I have never had a problem with Campus Nails, they have always done a good job, but when I went there today the woman giving my manicure was literally so aggressive when buffing my nails to the point that it hurt, and the paint job was so sloppy honestly a five year old could have done better. been here multiple times and it was fine. but this time she painted my toes the wrong color and just said "oops" and didn't change it or offer to. then when doing my manicure she didn't shape them evenly at all so they are all different lengths... and the whole time she was sneezing and picking her nose. she also got mad at me when i tried to ask for something to be done differently (water too hot, shape, the right nail color). not the best experience for $65 read more

My at least 15-20 experiences at least $500 plus worth spent at this nail salon have not been good compared to other nail salons. I no longer will go to this salon. The owner doesn't seem to care nor does good pedicures at all. I should've asked for my money back that day. The other workers don't care and it's obvious except for maybe 1 or 2 if you get them on a good day. The staff loves to play cards just out in the open and laugh which is very unprofessional--staff not paying attention. I was asked once why I come to get my gel nails done when I can do them at home with an at home kit which was mind blowing. YOU don't have to ever worry about me coming back.... Funny -- I left a tip because I couldn't see not leaving one, but I shouldn't have. That was just another great experience I had there. Several other instances, but I've spent ENOUGH of my time on here. After that I will NEVER go back--that was the last straw. A lot of changes need to be made or that one will go under which it should because I would be embarrassed to work there. The only thing that might save them is the surrounding college.
