I had to go to the urgent care and take antibiotics. They wanted to cut my sore open and drain it. I got my nails done yesterday. I got two blocks away and had to turn around because the index finger was lifting. She clipped it and put some more clear over it. The way the clear gel was got on it. It's like my fingernails have wings the quality of work here is Substandard. I was very disappointed with the outcome. When I went in they were very accommodating however, the fact that they put out this lackluster work is a waste of time. No one has time to double back from getting their nails done and then to see that they are done improperly. It's likeI'll just deal with this and just know not to go back. Let me preface with I normally get this service done and had a cost cap in mind so I had that in my account and the rest in my savings bc when traveling that's what I do just in case my card is lost or stolen. Anyways I'm visiting from Atlanta and wanted some time away from family so I came in for a basic pedicure and acrylic on all my toes. they were late opening, and this was a Saturday morning. I was the first one there and there were others, who were "regulars" that went ahead of me. we were all asked if we had appointments and no one had an appointment. There were 2 in my party and one had to wait until the other was done to be serviced but the "regulars" were seated. My nails were done to my satisfaction, the other person in my party asked for a design but I guess they forgot and we didn't want to wait any longer. Their prices are higher compared to their competitors in the area however the quality of their work do not reflect the difference in prices. I really really REALLY tried with this place. The owner even called me to apologize about the service that I have received and gave me a complimentary manicure on my next visit. And this was after I got my toes fixed from all but two of the polishes just sliding completely OFF. And I really appreciated it. On Wednesday I make an appointment for my nails. I also decided to get SNS because I wanted to support the business again and not just take the free service from them. He put me with a technician who he said was really good with SNS. And although she put the SNS on a way I've never seen before (with a brush) I was hopeful that this was going to be the time that I got my service and experience right. Well, today (Friday) 48 hours later my SNS chipped. And you know what I don't want it fixed. I really tried and I don't think this salon is for me. It's gorgeous on the inside and I like that there are Black technicians, and I wanted to support. But I can't consistently pay money for something to not last more than 3 days. Not to mention when I show up for my 10:30 appointment at 10:31 no one said or greeted me for 20 minutes. One of the techs who was doing a pedicure kept looking at me and not saying anything until someone else pointed her over to say something to me. So now, yet again I have to pay money some where else to get my nails re-fixed because this place just can't seem to get it right. And no I don't need a response from the owner anymore, because at this point there is nothing more than can be offered. I've been getting SNS for over 4 years and it's never chipped after 48 hours. Make 3 weeks but not less than 2 days. And not to mention I don't even have long nails, they are short. Plus I NEVER had it put on with a brush, they call it dip for a reason. read more

So.. I got a full set of acrylics on my toes and hands. Jimmy did my hands. And he didn't put anyyyyy type of bond or prep on my nails. Didn't really listen to the instructions of what I wanted. I wanted square nails and they were super rounded and weird. And today I'm finally trying to take them off and since he didn't prep my nails... 2 of my ACTUAL real nails came off. I have bandages all over my hands . Because even with acetone the nails were not budging. Terrible tbh. I have to wait a couple months at least to get my nails done again. I forgot who did my toes but he was great. It was the other guy there. Personally just very frustrated. They did a terrible job and charged me almost 200$. I tried this nail salon on June 18th. I feel the two young men who completed my services were not licensed. I checked out the there license wall on the way out and did not see them. My services were the worst I have ever had from any salon. My cuticle was cut while this guy continuously drilled on my hands. Never in my life had this happen and was just trying to get out of there. I called on June 19th to inquire about the licenses of the two individuals, but no one would return the phone call. The second problem is two days later polish is coming off it doesn't look like I went to a nail salon at all. I have never had my nails done and the polish just comes off like this. I was looking for a nail salon on Labor Day, and most in the Northeast area was close. I came across LV Nail Lounge & Spa on Google Maps and decided to give them a call. Even though they closed at 4 pm because of Labor Day, they were so kind to accept still my mother and I. We got VIP pedicures in a private room that came with wine, gel polish, and massage.
