It's a bit different from…read morethe other several rest stops along 87 and 90...there are just restrooms, vending machines and a bunch of brochures and pamphlets for all of the Adirondack-bound tourists. The faucets work, the toilets flush... and....get this.... there are actually paper towels to dry your hands with (in addition to dryers). It's easy to access and it's just past exit 10 on the northbound side of 87...on the southern end of Saratoga Springs. I also always feel somewhat safe as there are usually a few police cars parked here. Maybe it's a false sense of security (since I don't recall actually seeing police officers...)...but regardless...I've been here many times without incident. Which is a good thing.

There was very small parking lot in the front of the building and we actually parked a road off this service area . This travel Plaza had all our favorite restaurants and coffee shops .. Starbucks, Panera, panda express, shake shack and few more ! Allllll restaurants are to quality . Wait time was a bit once we order food . Fuel prices are slightly high . Had a good 20-25 mins of stopover .. 4 stars for this good service area !

It was quite busy on a late Sunday morning and the bathrooms in need of a refresh, but certainly not filthy. The was a Starbucks with drive through, a panera bread, and a Shake Shack, and Chick-fil-A, none of which I visited on this stop. There were electronic car chargers for those so inclined. I was disturbed by all of the broken glass in the parking area I'd selected, so if I develop a slow tire leak, I'll know what happened, and hopefully the state will sweep this up. It is certainly easy on, easy off I-87 access.

I arrived after closing, took a spot against some of the trees and remained undisturbed overnight. While they have signs that indicate "No camping," that doesn't mean no overnight parking. Just don't "recreate" or set out a tent or a grill, and you should be okay. The welcome center has a free wifi but it doesn't reach far. "I canceled so it should be immediate but AT MOST ONLY 5 DAYS" Contact my own customer support & they cant do anything because my money is in "Limbo" on the stores end. Never again will I ever set foot on this property. The subtle way they don't give a shit resonates like the fire of the sun. I give a negative rating if possible. The structure is beautiful and looked like a barn; it was nicely decorated and showcased Vermont as a whole. The restrooms were large and clean; they had changing tables which was a plus. They had a large patio area with many seats. There was even a playground. Parking was plentiful. We went in September around 6:30 pm and outside near the playground, there were a ton of mosquitos. We had to run out of there lol. Overall, it's a great spot to stop and stretch your legs if you're in the area.

Sometimes, digital maps and internet access to these things are nice for planning, as we had, but a good old fashioned paper map of the area highlighted by a local, can still be helpful in decision making. The rest rooms were very nice and there was some art in the display room. But the traditional post and beam construction was the main attraction. The parking was ample. Do stop here, whether you need help or not, it was well worth seeing. It truly is a Welcome Center to a very beautiful state.

Found this service station off 90 for fuel. Paying $3.22/gallon. Situation is kind of tricky…read morebecause if you get off 90 at an exit for fuel you pay a toll to get off and back onto 90 or stay on 90 and stop at a service station and pay more then what's advertised if you get off we choose the service station. Didn't go inside we paid at the pump. There is a small booth if we need assistance in the mix.
