We booked a 7-night stay beginning Friday the 22nd and loved our time here so much that even though we had to check out early on Memorial Day to get back to work, we ended up booking another stay for July while we were still at the resort. The resort is in a very central location, which made it easy to get around and explore the area. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite on the 4th floor with beautiful mountain views. The suite was spacious and very comfortable for two people, with a king bed and a full kitchen that made it feel more like a home away from home than a typical hotel stay. The resort also has an indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, and a small gym, which I used during our stay. The mountain-facing view created such a calming and peaceful feeling throughout our visit -- the perfect setting to recharge, unwind, and enjoy a truly stress-free getaway. read more

My second visit at this great location in the Berkshires. I appreciate the affordable prices in the end of autumn, the large suites and full kitchens, pool & hot tub all make for a good stay. It is slightly outdated style and decent but creaky beds, and sofa are still pleasant but not posh. I enjoy the complimentary coffee & espresso machine in the lobby. Adirondack chairs are placed around the property sit & sip coffee in the sunshine while breathing in the mountain air. Ahh love this area. read more

Where should I start with this? I understand because of Covid there was not full housekeeping, but when you don't even have the option to have someone replenish your items during your stay? We were RUDELY told that if we wanted more toilet paper...TOILET PAPER!!!... we had to go down to the front desk (which meant going outside because "lightning struck their elevator"? And then had to wait for someone to actually come out at the desk. The pool floor was the same rubber fake sand that was on the deck, and it was all peeling away and felt like actual sand on the bottom of the pool, it was not pleasant. The hot tub was closed for maintenance the entire 4 days we were there. The hotel room was nicely set up for the 1 bedroom, but the pull out couch bed was basically unusable. Unless you're a child and don't need to worry about what you sleep on, you are better off getting a rollaway bed and using the couch to sleep on, which we did. When we got the bed it came with sheets, which had a bunch of hair in it. Gross. The king bed was comfortable, the bathroom had fabulous water pressure in the shower. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you need from plates, glasses and utensils to pots and pans. Full size refrigerator with an ice maker which came in handy during this heat wave. The AC goes down to 61 degrees and it doesn't fully reach the bedroom. read more

I heard mixed reviews about this place, but it seemed there were more good reviews than bad, so I figured I'd take a chance. Plus, I was able to get a king bedroom suite with a full kitchen for a reasonable rate, considering I was going the weekend before July 4. My suite was very clean and had everything I needed. The staff was very friendly as well. The decor and furnishings are kind of dated looking and there is no restaurant or food options within the hotel, but there are plenty of places within a 5-min drive to shop for groceries or go out to eat if that's a concern for you. I gather it's a time share place too and people stay for longer periods, hence the full en-suite kitchens. It's a convenient location to all the area has to offer. It's perfect if you're going to Tanglewood...only a 5-10 minute drive away. I would stay there again. read more

This resort was very nice and comfortable. I love the heat in the room and how clean it was. We were not able to use any of the amnesties due to Covid. I like that there is a Stop & Shop across the street and some local stores not far. Skiing is right down the road. Our favorite restaurant was Salmon on the Run. read more

2018 PITTSFIELD, MA My daughter-in-law works in this area. When she was in her ninth month of pregnancy, my mother-in-law and I drove her to all her work locations up-state. We used this timeshare as our home base for the week. It was a last minute reservation for about $200 for the week. RCI offers these last-call vacations to members. The resort was perfect. They offer coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. We really too advantage of that since we were there during a snow storm. They also had great activities that we took advantage of. It was the week before Thanksgiving and one craft was a turkey made out of a bottle, buttons and feathers. It was our centerpiece that week later! We also made sand sculptures in bottles. It was a good activity for my mother-in-law who has Altzhermers. It kept her busy. They also had movie nights. Actually there was an area where you can watch a movie of your choice anytime. The actual units are very nice. All week, we cooked with no problem. The kitchen had everything we needed. Washers and dryers were down the hall, not in the unit. That was ok because there were lots of machines and you can do all of your laundry at once. The grocery store is walking distance. That is convenient if you don't have a car. We used the outdoor jacuzzi while it was snowing out. That was a lot of fun...The indoor pool was also nice. I appreciated it since I swim laps for an hour everyday. I forgot to mention that if you pay $100 for the week, they have 2 units reserved for pets. I was elated that we were able to bring our dog Grady. He is a Florida dog and only has seen snow twice in his life. He loved it! Thanks to management for allowing us to bring him! We definitely will return to this resort. I would have rated it a five, but didn't because they only have 1 BR units. My daughter-in-law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on the way back home that week. It won't be long before we will be needing 2 bedrooms! The staff was very accommodating....especially those who helped with the crafts. read more

Third year heat as an RCI owner. The resort needs serious upgrading including some of the desk staff. When a question is asked don't give attitude. If you don't like your job there are plenty others out there . Side entrance door was broken and didn't require a key card to enter. Immediate security issue. When I asked at the desk about repair I was basically told "how do I know". WOW. The paint in the bathroom is peeling but I'll take that up with the owners . No sense asking the staff. Needless to say I am not very happy . RCI will hear about this. read more

We recently stayed three nights over school vacation. Our room was great: clean and spacious. Staff was friendly helpful. I can't say that there is a ton to do in Pittsfield, MA. But everything we needed was within a 15 minute drive. The pool though..... I could not believe the amount of hair in the pool. I could not swim for more than five minutes without getting my hand entangled in a floating hair. Unfortunately for me, all my children wanted to do was swim. My six year old daughter was constantly swimming to the edge in order to remove a long strand of hair from her hand. The edge of the pool was littered with "hair balls" that I can only assume were removed from other swimmers. It doesn't look like this is a new issue. I see another review from 2016 by Delilah A in which she says "The pool did seems to have a filter problem as there was a lot of hair." I really wanted to give this a four or five star review, but this really ruined it for me. I could not wait to get back to the room and shower afterwards. If I knew that this issue was resolved next year I'd be back in a heartbeat. Otherwise I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

Great stay this week in February. Very clean room with everything we needed. I wish the pool and other amenities were open, but we'll try again when the pandemic is improved. This spot was very convenient to a ton of restaurants, skiing, hiking, and Stop & Shop. I'm a mom - and I need laundry - especially on a ski/snowboard trip. There were 3 laundry machines (washer/dryer) on each floor - you didn't need to pay. No one was ever in there. Also, it was easy to get more supplies (coffee, soap, etc.) from the front desk. I only wish they had recycling and a less intense shower. read more

I have been in timeshare since 1984. This is the most disappointed I have been! * I was charged $40 at check-in, saying the charge was from RCI (exchange company). I called RCI, and they did not request this! * There was no housekeeping! We stayed 5 nights, but there were not enough supplies for 5 nights. I had to go downstairs to the front desk 3 times: for more coffee, for more facecloths, and for Kleenex (that was supposed to be in the unit, but was not)! * When the Manager was offsite, there was no Assistant Manager! * There was no Internet. I had to use my personal cell data! * There are no lights on the buildings. It was dark and potentially unsafe! * There were no security employees. Potentially unsafe! read more

Berkshire Mountain Lodge looks like a regular hotel at first but the second I walked in it had one of the best scenery I've seen. The rooms have one king size bed and a pullout couch, it has an enormous amount of space. Also one other thing in the room is that it has a full bathroom and kitchen. Lastly on this topic is that the living room and bedroom have a TV and the living room has a very nice amount of seating. On the first floor there is a large pool (going up to four feet), there is a door leading outside. Out there is an outdoor hot tub (three feet with seating), and we went in the winter which then it was still open. There is no food in the hotel but there is a map and list they give you at the front if you want one of all the restaurants. They also have a fitness room that you have to be eighteen to use but it is surprising how much is in there. The one and only downside honestly is that in the room there is only one outlet accessible and it is under one of the side tables. Overall I would highly recommend this lodge and hopefully you will get to experience the joy of walking in and finding yourself in Berkshire mountain lodge. read more

We stayed here for two nights. Check in was smooth and without problems. Nice lobby. They have a couple of vending machines in the lobby area. Hallway' carpet could use an upgrade. I saw a few smoke detectors disconnected. Our room was spacious and clean. Nice furniture and kitchen had everything you will need for your stay. The only negative is that the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything from people walking upstairs and noises from rooms next door. If you are a light sleeper please bring plugs. read more

The rooms are good but the staff is not very friendly or accommodating. we took the train from New York so we had no car. we requested a late check out until 1 pm since our train was at 4pm. the refused to wiggle past 11am and they would not even hold our bags. Our only option was to walk around town with our bags or sit at the train station for 5 hours. read more

A very clean and quiet resort. Suites are a bit smaller than an average timeshare, but they are equipped with full kitchens. There is plenty to do in the area, but the resort was a bit lacking as far as things for families. There was no playground, tennis courts or outdoor pool. Stayed here Memorial day weekend while visiting family. I was super happy with the room and staff. Room was really big, feels more like an apartment than a hotel. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, cooking utensils, coffee pot and other things I never would have thought of like dishwasher and dish detergent (although you have to ask staff for a sponge if you're going to hand wash dishes so they can give you a fresh one; it doesnt come in the room already). The bed was a little firm for me but I loved how they offered both firm and soft pillows; plus there were extra pillows and blankets in the hall closet. The channel options for TV were impressive and there was a large list of DVDs we could borrow from the front desk that included great classics and new hits. The room overall seemed to try to anticipate all your needs with everything available in the kitchen, extras in the closet, and an iron/ironing board. The indoor pool was incredibly warm (love it!) and overall the facility seemed very clean and organized. There was a gym and gaming room as well that we passed but never tried out. Staff was incredibly helpful and cheerful. They wished us good morning every time they saw us and had a smile on whenever we were around. read more

Absolutely love this place! Beautiful and clean units with higher end furnishings. Very modern and spacious. The girls at the front desk is nothing but genuinely kind and helpful. Great that the pool, popcorn machine, little movie room and coffee/tea is in the same building as you are staring in. Also LOVE that they have carts to bring all your luggage straight to the elevators to your room. There is a 24/7 supermarket right across the street and another one around the corner. SO convenient. Plenty of quality restaurants close by along with the Berkshire Mall and a couple of movie theater. We will be going back many more times! read more

Recently renovated with fresh paint, new carpet and flooring, and coverings makes this resort feel new. Pool and outdoors hot tub are a comfortable temperature and adequately sized (and with a depth of 3-4 feet the little ones can enjoy the entire pool). Parking is convenient and they keep the spots and sidewalks clear of ice and snow. The resort activities are minimal throughout the week but the directors are enthusiastic and pleasant. Exercise room has 4 cardio machines and small tv. Rec room has a couple video games and claw prize machines. Structurally the building amplifies sounds in the hallway and stairwells to a ridiculous level. If there are kids around, it sounds like rolling stampede thunder. A whisper sounds like it comes from a bullhorn. They have dog friendly rooms and dog walk area with a waste station. Conveniently located and an easy drive to area attractions. Front desk has a good stock of courtesy items for the bathroom or kitchen. There is also a grocery store across the street to fill your pantry needs. read more

We stayed here for 5 days during MLK holiday weekend for our family ski trip. This is a great place for a family stay. The room are big, comfortable, clean with a well equipped kitchen. There is a complimentary washer and dryer, but detergent is not provided. There is also an indoor heated pool with an outdoor hot tub. The desk have a few collection of good movies to watch. The location is great, nearby to a lot of things. Bosquet mountain resort is about 1/2 a mile(3min drive) from the resort. I highly recommend it for families read more

I stayed at the Berkshire Mountain Lodge this past weekend for a wedding I was attending in the area. Upon my arrival the room appear larger and better than it seemed in the pictures. I was only at the hotel for one night and the amount of problems with the room were disgusting. The first thing I found was vomit in the kitchen sink, then in the kitchen trashcan there was a used feminine product pad! I opened the bed which had multiple pubic hair's in it and stains on the pillow case which I believe was never washed from the previous guest. The following morning both myself and my sister who stayed with me were covered in tiny little bites that were itchy. I am not sure what it was but I am guessing by the bite-size it was fleas, I would never stay at this hotel again and would strongly recommend against it. read more

Stayed here during Feb school break. Very few people here during that time. Property is new and well maintained, it is built poorly and at night everything is noisy. The kitchen is great to have as you can cook here and not spend on going out every night (even though it probably costs the same). Spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and renovated fairly recently. Two large flat screen TVs in the suite. Enormous bathroom. Ice maker in the fridge. Kitchen was well equipped. It is conveniently located, easy to find, ample parking, close to lots of restaurants (plenty of which deliver) and there is a 24 hour Stop and Shop right across the street. The indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi were clean and provided convenient entertainment for the kids and much needed relaxation time for the exhausted adults. The free laundry facilities were very useful for drying wet swimsuits several times a day. We were there Martin Luther King weekend and it was surprisingly uncrowded. read more

Wonderful place to stay !!! Very friendly staff, super clean hotel !!! All rooms are suites with full kitchens, and have some handicapped accessible rooms as well. They have an indoor pool & outside Jacuzzi. Also a small playground for children outside with barbeque grills. They have different movies twice every day & free popcorn, juice, coffee or tea available in the lobby. Location is fantastic...next to the Lenox town line. We waited for four hours for our room to be ready even though we had reservations and we were there after check-in time . Staff was also very curt , And not very helpful . Not only that the rooms are small and the amenities are very bare-bones . Also when we opened up the pull out bed from the couch there was still leftover pretzels and sunflower seeds from the previous occupants. Will never come back to this place for any reason. read more

This place is awesome!! What a fabulous condo and the staff are absolutely the nicest and most accommodating folks. The unit is lovely. Ours faced the mountains and on a clear sunny day the view is breathtaking. The unit has a king sized bed in the bedroom and a queen sized pull out sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom is very spacious and the kitchen has everything you need. They also include basic toiletries, q-tips and cotton balls which is a nice touch. Each floor has a laundry room with 3 washers & dryers which are 24 hours and free to use. The Stop and Shop grocery store literally across the road is great. Large, clean and well stocked. So really no need to drive all the way to Walmart. There's a common room off the beautiful lobby with a huge TV and big comfy couches where they have movie night which is also great for the kids & adults alike. Love, love love the coffee in the lobby which is also available 24/7. We brought our coffee mugs down there and stopped brewing in the unit. The pool is super nice and clean. Shallow so no diving or jumping allowed and hot tub was fantastic even despite being outside in the cold! The gym is very small (1 treadmill, 1 elliptical & 2 bikes - and a large multi-function weight machine. They have a yoga mat and a large exercise ball too. Enough to keep to your routine. The location is close to most all the attractions and anything that you might want to do or see in the Berkshires. I just wish they had some 2 bedroom units. Would definitely recommend the Berkshire Mountain Lodge and would definitely return. read more

Be sure to visit Naemkeg, the Mount, Botanical Garden , have lunch and sit on porch at Red Lion Inn. Don't miss Norman Rockwell! ,Great Barrington and Lee are quaint towns worth visiting. read more

Stayed here during school break, March into April. Very few people here during that time. I would agree with another reviewer that although the property is new and well maintained, it is built poorly. The kitchen is adequately stocked with essentials and the free laundry a nice plus. The sound when people walk in the hallways, flush a toilet or run a shower above or next to you is very loud. Or, there may have been a family of Sasquatchs above us - seriously - boom, boom, boom across the floor. It is located near a lot of things with easy access to groceries, across the street, and lots of restaurants around. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again but probably ask for a highly level than the 2nd floor. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Berkshire Mountain Lodge the week leading up to Christmas. Our 3rd floor accommodations were comfortable and the staff were pleasant and responsive to our needs. I have to agree with the other reviewers that children tramping down the hall sounded like thunder. The tv remote relies on a tiny receiver on a cord attached to the back of the set. I imagine the cleaning staff knocked it off the tv stand. We had to have a quick visit from maintenance. The DVDs available from the front desk are truly nothing to write home about. The onsite entertainment was sparse and geared to young children. The grocery store was literally across the street and well stocked with fine fare. The prices were dear though. The pots and pans had loose handles and a touch of rust, something I wouldn't have expected at a Gold level resort. We had to ask for trash bags and dishwashing pellets and coffee filters. Recycling and trash will be picked up from outside your room by arrangement, something not mentioned in the welcome booklet. The bed was quite comfy and tv service and internet were good. Overall we had a reclusive, relaxing time at the lodge. read more
