I was running about 30 minutes late, so I called in, and he said it would not be a problem--that was nice of him. Upon getting there, I had to wait up to 30 minutes before my vehicle could be brought into the service bay--they apologized for the delay. They have a restroom, TV, and complimentary coffee while you wait, a nice touch. Once my vehicle was looked at, Gord (Owner/Manager) told me it was a leak in one of the pipes, and gave me an estimate of over $200. I asked to look at the problem area and he motioned the mechanic to show me. The mechanic was really friendly and explained all the details to me of what was wrong and how it will be repaired--very informative. $200 seemed a bit steep to just weld a part into the exhaust, and I asked Gord if he could provide any discount, but he wasn't open to providing anything further. At any rate, it was great they could repair it right away and the mechanic went to work. He then happily showed me the completed repair, a really nice job I should mention! Be aware that this place charges $96 per hour for labour, which is a bit less than surrounding Midas locations, and considerably less than the dealerships. They get pretty busy, and they told me they are presently booking appointments a week in advance....so if you're in a rush to get some work done, you should first call up these guys instead of just walking in.

I had a truly awful experience at Modar Tires in Welland. My husband and I went there early Friday…read moremorning for a flat tire replacement. They charged us $150 but gave us a very old, worn-out tire. By the time I drove all the way to North York and then Mississauga, the tire went flat again--this was a very dangerous situation on the highway. After a lot of effort, we only received a partial refund, despite trying really hard. In the end, we had to pay $200 more at another shop for a proper tire. The service was completely unprofessional, and I would never trust them again. Stay far away. I would give zero stars if I can. Also to note we met another lady who returned that same morning to get her new tires re aligned because while she was driving on the highway her vehicle started shaking due to misalignment, she did warn us prior to us leaving but we still gave the shop a chance due to the good reviews, however it's only now I realize that this shop has new owners and all the past positive reviews are likely attributed to the past owners, either way please be very careful when getting your car serviced here.

Told him it's too expensive. Had to pay $37 for him to check what the problem was. Didn't want to argue so I paid him. Went to another mechanic. No break fluids leaking, calipers all OK. Replaced all rotors, all pads for $850. I've got no reason to make up a story. They are DISHONEST people. Beware of them, they will overcharge you.
