Staff is very helpful about which liquors have stronger flavor and which have stronger liquor. This is a basic concept that I feel has gone over many others' heads because they just want to sell me something based on some potentially correct science that may be entirely useless for my taste buds. The variety is here if you want that last minute mainstream grab or you get something here that may be harder for you to get elsewhere. There are several varieties of maple liquor. Though I probably could've gotten it fixed out in Cornwall, I didn't even think of it, and returned to the American side and searched for a bike repair shop. I do have to give kudos to Canadian Tire, though, a store which really has no American equivalent because they sell such an odd array of stuff. They have a wide selection of bike accessories and parts, but no cranks, which is what I needed. I used my GPS to search for a bike shop on the American side of the Thousand Islands, and there were NONE. The Canadian side, however, had many. Gananoque, Brockville, Cornwall, Kingston... all of them had bike shops. Ogdensburg, Alex Bay, Clayton... nothing. That's America, it's a problem. Anyway, I ended up in Brockville at Cranks on a Wednesday afternoon. The repair guy, who I assume was the owner, and hence the "Crank" of the shop name, was actually cranky. Not to me, but to another customer. Coincidentally, he did have the crank I needed, and had it installed probably after an hour. We walked around Brockville and he called our cell phone when it was done. Then on we went to bike Wolfe Island. He was a lifesaver... or more accurately, a BIKE-saver!

He showed us some sweet guitars and amps basically new he had for sale and we oohed and awed over those. We were also looking at a huge snowsuit to use for our tobogganing hill at the lake this winter, and when he saw it was ripped he just gave it to us. We bought the Peugeot peppermill we found and headed off for lunch happy, making a mental note to check back in whenever we're nearby. You should too! First of all, every time he has gone into the store to buy something they don't have anything in stock or have to order it online for him to get the deal which makes NO Sense. They tell him it will only take a few days to come in and then after a few days say oh actually it will be 6-8 weeks (this has happened more than once) He bought me a beautiful bracelet for our wedding day and it literally fell apart after one day wearing it. We wanted to get his wedding ring a bit smaller so they told us he would have to return it and order a new one, so we did that. Apparently they "called" us a week later to tell us that particular ring had been discontinued now... and we could not get it any longer but had still returned our other ring. We did NOT receive a phone call about this and are obviously upset because that ring was special to my husband and now it's gone forever because of Peoples not knowing wtf they're doing. WE WILL NEVER BUY JEWELLERY FROM HERE AGAIN, and honestly we suggest that you don't either. I'm sad that I even have to continue going there to have my wedding rings inspected.
