They carry a real mix of fashion, obviously catering to the older, more conservative, retired residents of the town but they also have a surprisingly good selection of jeans and brands that appeal to the hip youngsters in town. Being in my 50's I guess I fall into a category somewhere in between. In past visits I've purchased some leggings and a jacket and most recently shopped for pants and shirts for my elderly father last January. But what prompts me to post this review and to give this store 5 stars is the amazing service I received there yesterday. MY dad was recently moved to a care facility and needs a couple of pairs of pants. I popped in to see what was available and make a beeline for the sale rack, being on a bit of a budget on this shopping trip. There were a couple of pairs of Columbia pants in a Size 40, marked down to $25! Deal! But they looked big to me (my poor dad is wasting away) and I wondered if I shouldn't try the next size down, a 38. But what if they don't fit?? I have to travel an hour north to visit my dad and would be doing so the next day and returning a few days later so thought I would purchase the one pair of Size 38 and one pair of the 40's and if possible return what didn't fit. I approached the clerk and inquired about their return policy on sales items. "Final sale" she said politely so I explained my dilemma. "Take them on approval" she said. Huh? "Take both pairs and let him try them on and bring back whatever doesn't fit." "I won't be back until Monday or Tuesday (4 days later)" "No problem." "Do you want a deposit?" Nope. "To record my credit card?" Nope. Just my name and telephone number. I couldn't even give her a local number as we have had the house telephone disconnected since my dad's move and I am the 1% of the population without a cell phone so I gave her my dad's neighbor's number. The clerk bagged the pants, smiled and said "See you next week." AMAZING customer service!

Went in this store on a whim with some friends to check things out and browse. The girl at the…read morefront was nice and welcomed us, and we made our way around the store, proceeding to gush over an adorable tribal printed knit sweater. I commented that it would have to go on my Christmas list as there was no way I'd be able to afford it right then and there. Almost immediately, a lady popped up (the owner maybe) and very rudely asked if we planned to purchase anything, I let her know that we were just looking and she looked at me and said "feel free to leave then." I'm not sure if she was concerned about having teenagers in the store, but I was very taken aback and offended. I will not shop there again, nor will I recommend the place to friends or family. I've never experienced such awful service in Okotoks, it's a tight knit community and It's a shame that people from out of town might experience something like this and assume that we all act this way. Will be buying my jeans elsewhere from now on, the trip into Calgary is worth it.

Serendipity's Strathmore is the granddaughter's much-enjoyed consignment shop…read more While browsing before Christmas last year, she found two, lovely pieces of artist-crafted, hand-painted, custom stemware - located in the 'Artisan Market' area of the shop. With her Mom along side (there on a trip at the time), and having us in mind, she purchased the glasses as a 'Love you guys" gift - which daughter brought home, and gifted our way upon return. Though holiday wrapped, we were told to open the package when brought to us, and not wait until Christmas. Which we did, and then tried the glasses for the first time, with some "bubbly" on my December birthday. Our love and thanks again to granddaughter for the loving gesture and glasses. To daughter, for being the loving and personal carrier of the gift. And to Serendipity's Strathmore -- we hear so many good things about your fine shop, and now we have something in-hand to share with those moments.

I follow them on Instagram to see what new arrivals they have and the shop owner is the sweetest person, always quick to respond, provide details and help you out with your shopping. The shop is in a cute old house and sometimes the bring in other local makers that you can shop as well. I've picked up some cute earrings, a sign for my kitchen and some gifts from them.
