I spun out on an on ramp and was scared shitless. A flatbed came up to me and immediately called the cops. I didnt ask him to call the cops or pull over. Got my car off the highway and he insisted that my car is damaged and I cant drive it. It was fine. He told me he will drop me off at home for free,not once did he say he was taking my car. I asked him if he was dropping off my car and he said yes. It wasn't until I was on my street that he told me hes taking my car. WTF. While I was talking to family to get advice he kept talking over them so I couldnt hear them. He was talking to my mother and hung up on her refusing to do what she was saying. I was in so much shock that I didnt know what was going on. He scammed me into taking my car and now its sitting in their lot for no reason for a few days. You guys are vultures and prey on ppl that are in shock and dont know. I've never met someone so pushy in my life. Telling me I'm wasting his time cause hes got other stuff to do and he hasnt eaten lunch. How does it go from I'm in an accident to hurry up your wasting my time cause I'm hungry. WTF. Asked buddy for a quote and he said there is no quote. Didnt give me any information or copy of any invoice. No prices or anything. Had to call the shop to get info, the young lady was great,Moe mot so much! Dude should be charged for harassing me and taking advantage of me. Horrible horrible horrible. Canadian Towing has gone above and beyond what even a great company has to do. Demir, the owner was on the highway and happened to be driving behind me when my car fishtailed (presumably on black ice) and my car rolled into the ditch. Just as I was trying - upside down - to get the door open I heard comforting words and saw two legs through the window. Demir opened the door, which I couldn't, and guided me out making sure I didn't hit my head (hanging upside down) when he undid the seatbelt. He took care of EVERYTHING - he sat in the truck with me for 2.5 hours for police to arrive - this was like a therapy because he calmed me down and normalized everything. Every time I asked something he said "No problem". And all the while he was working his phones and helping others in accidents guiding his team to vehicles. When the police officer arrived he knew Demir and when I had said how helpful he was, the officer said "I know him and he's the best". I really lucked-out. Demir drove me home AND he helped me bring in things from the car. This is not just business, this is kindness. I am so grateful. Ten stars. read more

If you want reliable and friendly and dedicated and most importantly determined. These are the guys for you! I bought a 28' trailer that I needed moved and called them just through a random Google search and boy am I glad I did. What was supposed to be a simple hook up and tow job, became a 4 hour experience. With all the snow, ice and thawing/freezing we've had the past couple of months the trailer tires became wedged in an ice crater and proved to be too difficult to move with just the truck they brought. After trying many different ways and I mean MANY, they called in for reinforcement which also did not solve the problem right away. However, they were determined to get the job done and my trailer to where it needs to be. I've dealt with other companies in the past and no was as determined and pleasant as the gentlemen that came to help me out tonight. Amazing service. My motorbike caught a nail on the highway about 50kms outside of Ottawa. The truck showed up very quickly, considering how far out I was. From there, the driver went above and beyond to help get me back on the road. He even took me to Canadian Tire to get a patch kit and patched the tire himself when none of the staff there would help. In the end, we weren't able to fix the tire that night, but the driver kindly got my bike to a shop that would service it in the morning. All told, I was back on the road before noon the next day. I can't thank these guys enough for all the help. Of course, it ended up being a bit of a pricey bill, but that was no surprise considering the situation and distances involved. One of your drivers was driving incredibly fast in the right hand lane on the highway trying to avoid the stop and go that countless others all have to deal with given the congestion of the highway in the late afternoon. He wasn't even actually in the lane, he was driving where no cars are to drive then tried to cut me off. This is disgusting and unacceptable not to mention the fact that I have a baby on board sticker on my back window and a kid in my car. You may want to remind this pathetic excuse for a human being that the company he works for is on his truck! Absolutely unacceptable! This happened today at 3:15 going westbound on the highway downtown. At least my child now knows what a true complete piece of shit drives like! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE - DO NOT USE CANADIAN TOWING car broke down on the weekend and my mechanic was closed until monday. The driver ensured me that he knew of a place that would be open, still i felt uneasy going to a stranger. He kept pushing me to go so i finally cave. Once we got the the shop no one is there. He says '' woops guess i was wrong'' and so we tow the car all the way back to my shop, which by the way was 5 second drive from where i initially needed the tow. He charged me almost 200 bucks to move my car litterally across the street. I emailed the manager and he was nothing but rude and inconsiderate. Now i have to pay the car repair on top of the excessive tow charge. STAY AWAY. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. - never again. The driver took 5 hours to arrive to my location. i called them 4 times and everytime he said he was 20 minutes away. Not only that, he was extremely rude to me when he got there. I have never needed a tow before so naturally i had questions. He would either answer with '' youll have to call the manager'' or ''i dont know''. so i called the manager and after 3 minutes he HUNG UP ON ME! The whole experience was just a nightmare. Long story short is i WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. read more

It's very disheartening to read some of these negative reviews. I did not experience this kind of behaviour at all. My car ran out of gas on the Queensway this past weekend. I know what a stupid thing to do. Things happen. I had traffic backing up and was starting to panic. A Canadian Tow truck pulled in front to see what was wrong and I told him I needed gas, by now I was very upset. He gave me gas and had me on my way in less then 5 minutes. Incredible! Hands down the best customer service experience of my life. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. My truck broke down on the highway and I was in a bad location, Canadian Towing was Johnny-on-the-spot and saved my day (and possibly my life) and got me out of a real pickle super quick. Reliable and easy service to deal with. Unfortunately I've had the misfortune of needed a tow truck twice in the last year. Once because of an accident on Bank Street and another time due to a flat tire on Highway 416.
