Great Mother's Day breakfast! There was already a line for inside when we arrived at 9:00am, but luckily it was a perfect morning to sit outside. Service and food were great as always!!! Highly recommend, but come early if you don't want to wait for a seat.

Stepping onto Canal street, you could see the potential. An old strip of mom and pop shops, lots of blood sweat and tears. This place holds true with those age old values. Inside it's small, lots of charm, not a lot of seats. I saddled up to the counter and was immediately greeted by smiles and greetings. My waitress Layla was tremendous. Between helping with coffee refills to navigating the delightful menu, we decided that the Reuben was the target. I had some strategy planned. I overheard Layla discussing some specials of the day, as well as describing the homemade dessert she brought. Yes, you read that right. My waitress was slaving away making a phenomenal cake to bring in that she thought people would love. I executed my plan to a T. After eating half of my lunch I then requested some of Layla's Banana Cake with Cinnamon cream cheese icing. It was a grand slam. Flawlessly moist with the richest most addictive icing ever. Thank god I saved room. You better save room too. From their breakfast to their lunch, the menu is on point. But you gotta have enough discipline to save space & order their homemade desserts because wow.... If I'm ever back in this area, it's game on!!!!

Went here today with my family after spending some time in the area. The place is a classic charming small town diner and it really gives a nostalgic feeling. The staff was friendly and attentive making sure we were taken care of and enjoying our meal. The food was very good as well. We got some of hair canal boat potato skins as an appetizer which were delicious. Cooked well with good portions of cheese, bacon, And green onions. My main meal was the 2 piece cod with fries and Mac and cheese. The fish was cooked well and had a flavorful and crunchy batter and the fries were well seasoned and they gave me a lot. The mac and cheese was also nice and cheesy. My mom enjoyed her chicken Parmesan melt she said the chicken was nice and crispy and the potato chips that came with it were well cooked and delicious. All in all a great meal and we'd definitely come again

I really wanted the spinach feta pie, but they were out, so I got the tuna pita instead, which was wonderful. I was there with a party of five (including my child) and everyone was really happy with their meals. The service was fantastic and friendly. My parents were a little late arriving, so my son enjoyed playing in the little toy kitchen set-up they had in the corner. (He found dinosaurs in one of the containers, so he was in his element.) What a great distraction for the kiddos, along with coloring books and crayons. We all had dessert too and while I didn't get to try the baklava, I think among all of the others the limoncello was my favorite. Very cool ambiance. As for the decor, it is cluttered and quirky and very Greek. Loved every corner. Even some historic politicians were enjoying the food and the ambiance. Opa!

The flaming cheese was an "Opa" inducing spectacle for the whole restaurant to marvel. And it tasted great! As did the Athens fries (it's amazing what a little vinaigrette and feta can do)! The gyro also did not disappoint. My wife ordered a Turkey melt, which she thought was okay. I think the lesson is to order Mediterranean from a Mediterranean restaurant, and you won't be disappointed.

Wow, so cool to find a great authentic Greek restaurant on our trip through Ohio…read more Let's start with the staff. We walked in and were greeted right away and told we could pick a seat anywhere in the store. We decided to sit in the back of the restaurant where we were greeted by Sam. We needed up having 2 gyros, 1 spanakopita and 1 tiropita the food was delicious , fresh and didn't take long to get it. Sam did a great job checking in on us and we got to meet the owner George who came to chat us about how our experience was and if everything was to our satisfaction. Everything was to our satisfaction and we will come here again. Also a huge plus, they had Mythos which is one of my favorite Greek Beers. We will be returning here again

Knew it was the same place as soon as we saw it. Walked in to a warm welcome. Sat in the back room this time. Front room was filled. Christina helped us. She was very informative and helped us decide what we wanted. Got 2 cups of the lemon chicken soup. I can't pronounce the Greek name so it's the lemon chicken soup. Outstanding lots of chicken, rice and carrots. Then we got the fancy Greek salad. It comes on a good size plate and covers the plate. The Greek dressing is homemade and delicious. Chunks of feta in it. Honestly could only eat half. The potato salad on it was good. All the ingredients fresh. Can't go wrong. Christina told us about the other menu items too. Everything is homemade and made with love. It's a family business with kids and relatives involved. We did get a baklava for dessert to split cuz well we had too. Prices are good. Better than on-line. Roomier than it looks. Greek decor with the pics. Great place! Eat here! Homemade Greek food by a Greek family! What else can you ask for! Delicious! Just wish I lived closer. We will be back when in the area again!

My favorites were: 1) the char-grilled octopus - so tender 2) chicken souvlaki - the roasted veggies were so good with the smokiness of the chicken! 3) the salmon on top of the Elia salad - it was cooked to perfection. Juicy and flaky! Our server was the one who recommended the Elia Salad with salmon on top with the Champgane Vinaigrette. But, we went with the Greek dressing... I think we would have liked her recommendation more because the combo of salmon and salad was spot on! She definitely knew what she was doing and what tastes good! We sat in the indoor patio-like area and it was very bright with natural light and I love the exposed wood deco inside. It feels rustic and classy at the same time. Such a nice vibe, would definitely come again with a group of people to have a filling and and diverse meal!
