We weren't too sure about this place, because it is actually inside a grocery store. We had breakfast there twice, and both times we found the food to be pleasing to the eye, as well as tasty. Hubby is an omelet fan, and enjoyed his. I had the breakfast casserole which changes daily on our fist visit. It was sausage, egg and mushrooms I believe. The second visit I had the southern skillet, which consisted of eggs and sausage with gravy and cheese. Both times quite enjoyable. The interior of the restaurant is homey and inviting, and the waitress service very good with keeping our coffee cups full. If you live locally you can drop off your dry cleaning, and do your shopping as well. If you are visiting the area, it is definitely worth a try over going to a chain Restaurant. read more

We stopped here for breakfast. It is kind of confusing if where the restaurant is. You actually have to walk into the grocery store to get into the restaurant. My wife and I used to eat at the Mill in both the Dover and the New Philadelphia Buehlers. I used to love the Spaghetti and meatballs and the garlic bread. My wife wanted to give it another chance because we hadn't been there for over a year because the food quality was going downhill and they took the spaghetti off the menu. The waitress when I told her that I missed the spaghetti dinner informed me that they were offering it again even though it wasn't on the menu. I was truly disappointed when I received it. The spaghetti was so over cooked and dry that it was sticky and globed together I didn't eat it because it wasn't fit to eat . I ask her where the garlic bread was and she said that it didn't come with any garlic bread. Have never had spaghetti anywhere that didn't include garlic bread or bread sticks with a spaghetti meal. Well the waitress was a nice young lady and it wasn't her fault so we left her a nice tip and paid for our meal even though mine went into the trash and I had my supper at home. Very sad to see one of my favorite places going downhill with the menu changes and the terrible food. I should have realized when I saw how empty the restaurant was. While in town to visit the Werther Museum, we actually were hoping for Amish food but ended up at Buehlers. I've never been to a full on restaurant buried inside a grocery store before. I was pleasantly surprised that this restaurant reminded me of the comfortable, friendly diners back home in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. You know what I'm talking about...... roomy leatherette booths and comfort food menu staples like macaroni & cheese and club sandwiches. Buehlers actually features a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with their homemade mac & cheese. Right?! I seriously considered that intriguing sandwich but opted to test my first visit with a classic club. I was so glad that I did. Since I moved to Ohio, I have noticed so many restaurants automatically put every kind of sandwich into an oven to toast the whole thing through. I've had to learn to always inquire about whether my sandwich will be served hot or cold, because many times I prefer a cold East Coast style sandwich. Ohio defaults to hot and as a result, it's frequently a challenge to get something like a simple club sandwich on lightly toasted white bread with fresh cold lunch meat, thinly sliced, and unmelted cheese. Buehlers got it right without any menu tweaking from me at all. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the lunchmeat as it was lean and sliced perfectly. The grocery stores in my neighborhood tend to slice their meat way too thickly for my taste but this place understands how meat shaved thinner is so much more tender on a sandwich. My father had a roast beef sandwich and the meat was absolutely perfect, very tender. The server was extremely friendly and took the time to answer some questions from these out of towners. This place is nothing fancy but it was clean, comfortable, inexpensive and the food was right on. Plus the menu does have some creativity along with the diner style favorites. I would definitely come to this restaurant again if I'm in the area but I am pleased there is one closer to where I live. I'll be visiting that Delaware, OH location in the near future. read more

Always a fresh meal here. I throughly enjoy coming here, especially for breakfast. They have a wonderful buffet with many options. The restaurant is warm and cozy. The staff is always pleasant. The food is inexpensive but pretty good. They have a nice salad bar. Pasta portions are large and sandwiches are good. Service has been good each time we've been there. The soups are kept in warmers at the salad bar and my boyfriend got sick eating from them so avoid that. Another random tip: they have these metal brackets that hang down under the booths and I hit my knee really hard (got a nice bruise for days afterward). Watch out for those! read more

Wow, bad day at The Mill. Being the day after Thanksgiving, we expected it to be busy, but we didn't expect this. It added up to out waiter apologizing twice for the hour-long wait, comping our meal, and asking us to please speak to the manager -- but she refused to come to our table. Very disappointing. The Mill, always a go-to before grocery shopping, is obviously having chef problems. Their Fall menu featured a yummy sounding veggie burger which I ordered. It was inedible! A pile of mush with shredded carrots sticking out of it. So horrible I almost couldn't swallow it. This is a joint in a grocery store. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Really good food! This is like mom or grandma would make. Salad bar is huge, (big plus for me). Had the Swiss Steak w/mashed pots (homemade). The dinner salad that comes with is huge with tomatoes and cheese, onions, green peppers. The Swiss Steak is so good and tender that I went back two days later and had it again! My son had pancakes which he loved and my sis had a breakfast skillet which was huge and good! We've eaten here many times. The food has slowly gone down hill for a while but today's visit was probably the worst example of "food" I've ever had (and that's saying a lot because I've traveled extensively to many countries and throughout the US). My son ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It was so old and dried out it couldn't be eaten. My grilled chicken breast resembled a hockey puck, black, dry and hard as can be. Needless to say neither were consumed. It is astonishing really that this food could have ever gotten to our table. There were so many opportunities for SOMEONE at that place to question what was happening. Clearly "I don't care" attitudes and non existent management. Will never ever go back.
