Visiting Windsor, Colorado from AZ and craving good Mexican food. We were pleasantly surprised to stumble across this lovely restaurant. We walked in and were greeted with amazing service throughout our visit started off with wonderful chips that were freshly made along with fresh salsa. I highly recommend you ask for the green salsa as well. It had a very wonderful flavor and a nice kick to it. The ambience is traditional Mexican atmosphere. We had the Carnitas enchiladas that were amazing and the Machaca plate. I will come back to visit if I'm ever in Windsor! read more

We happened to be up in Windsor for a soccer game and swung by to grab a quick bite before heading down. We were seated right away. I absolutely love the atmosphere as we walked in. The interior is very colorful with multiple TV'S throughout the bar and restaurant playing Sunday football. As we were looking over our menu, our waiter came over with their homemade chips and salsa. I honestly couldn't stop eating them. They were delicious. Not too greasy and the perfect amount of crunch. The salsa itself was the right amount of spice. We ordered off the lunch specials which they have everyday before 3. Everything came out fast which we really appreciated since we were in a hurry to drive back down to Denver. The food itself was delicious! And it a giant plate where majority of us took half of it home which was nice because we ate it for dinner. So apparently this was my 2nd time here and I definitely didn't remember this lol but my family swears up and down. Anyways! They were semi busy and we had to wait for a while which was really no bid deal. We sat at the bar and I had a mango margarita with a tajin rim which was sooooo good and refreshing and munched on some chips and salsa as I waited. The wait staff was beyond friendly. After about a 20 min wait which tbh went by super fast, we were sat. Our waitress was super friendly took our orders immediately. The chips were nice and hot and the salsa was actually good with nice flavors and not too soupy with the perfect chunks of everything. For my main meal I got the trio which was freaking huge. It consisted of carne asada, chicken, and shrimp wrapped in bacon with rice and beans. I opted out for my shrimp to be wrapped in bacon as I don't care for that but I do love bacon just not the two combined. I didn't eat the chicken as it was too much food so I gave it to my husband. I really just wanted to shrimp. The shrimp were good and flavored well I ate those first. I love how they were chewy like some places. They were like crisp if that makes sense and I just loved them! Some places the shrimp almost seem fake so they're chewy sometimes and I'm iffy to get them but not here. The carne asada was good, could use a little bit more flavor but wasn't horrible and cooked to my liking with little to no fat! I ordered double rice cause I don't like refried beans only charro beans and I will say I wasn't a fan of the rice. It was very dry and hard. So I didn't eat it all. For dessert we got the Soppapias not sure if I'm even spelling that right but basically it's a fried puffed pastry drizzled with honey and I believe cinnamon was on it with sides of whip cream. Those were good too. Overall this place is good I would definitely come back I would just opt out of the rice not my thing unless they change how they make it or make it less dry and kore favorable. And which is rare of me I forgot to take pics. I was super hangry this day and just dove in and ate. But the presentation of the food was very nice! Also the layout of the restaurant was definitely giving authentic Mexican vibes from Mexico. Love this place and the vibes! read more

The servers are fantastic, they help celebrate special occasions, and treat returning people s family. When you're looking for Mexican food, you certainly want the feel and type of options that Cancun provides. Ended up getting cheese enchiladas suiza. The only options with sides that are vegetarian-friendly are the black beans. It's a shame as I enjoy Mexican rice and black beans but perhaps I enjoyed it in the past because it was doused in the pork broth as here at Cancun. Funny thing is Cancun's menu does have a little logo to tell you that an item is vegetarian yet that leaf logo is not on anything on the menu LOL. Anyway, the enchiladas and black beans were enjoyable. I was happy to be the "amigo" of my kind server. It is tough these days to pay $16 for a meal at a Mexican restaurant. Food prices have simply skyrocketed and it's understandable. But if you're going to go out and eat Mexican in this area of town, Cancun does deliver on what you're likely looking for. read more

Just had lunch with a friend at this new little joint in downtown Windsor. Great amount of seats, very cool vibe and fantastic service. Lunch came out quick and on point. Chips and salsa are always a great way to start lunch. I got the Baja tacos with shrimp and they came with beans and rice on the side. 3 shrimp tacos with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Fantastic food! We loved everything! The chips are very unique (not sure how to describe them), but some of my all-time favorites. Salsa and queso were very good as well. My wife had the fish tacos and I had the fajita trio and both were delicious. Portions were large as well...we had leftovers, which is very rare for me. Flavors were amazing. Waitress was fantastic. The five star rating is primarily due to exceptional service although the food was good too. Every employee was very kind and they worked as a team. Drinks never ran dry, plates quickly removed, and they kept the restaurant clean, I had the burrito supreme and everyone else was happy with their meal. Gotta drive down Main Street at night. My family and me had lunch here today and we all really loved the food. I had chicken taquitos which were fantastic! My husband had the beef taquitos and said his were really good too. Everyone at our table cleared their plates which tells you that the food was great! To top it all off the service was great too! I went to Cancun with my mom for lunch as a joke/precursor to our impending trip to Mexico. We really enjoyed our time there! No really sure what to write. I think we need to give this place another chance. We went last night,Saturday evening. Of course they were very very busy. We gave our name and sat at the bar to wait. Margaritas were way too sweet. Almost no alcohol for the money $8.75 each humm. Their chips and salsa were very good. I am in love with their salsa. We waited for a booth, not long. Finally seated server comes up to us immediately are you ready? We just sat down didn't have menus. Said we need a few more minutes. I had to go to the hostess for menus. We were subject to a long wait. Didn't take our order for 15 minutes. I decided on Flautas. A lot of food. Their rice and beans (refried) are scrumptious. So darn good. Hubby ordered relleño, cheese enchilada rice and beans. Food came quick enough. My plate was extremely hot, server said be careful hot. Didn't tell my husband 'Cause his plate was almost room temperature. Cold enchilada, cheese did not melt, was a chunk of soft cheese. The relleño, crispy was MORE than crispy. Again cold and the cheese inside was not melted. Almost looked like no cheese, again just a clump of cold cheese. The flavors were ok could have been better if hot. My husband could not eat it. Server said are you finished or don't like. Hubby told him don't like. Server did ask if there was anything else he could bring him and hubby said no thanks. The server said we wouldn't be charged for his dinner. Which is nice however that is not what we were after. My husband LOVES Mexican food and we were thrilled there was a new place in town. I was so excited as the reviews are stellar. I love reading reviews. This place was the bomb according to other guests. I believe it can be, our fault for going on such a busy night. The place is great, beautiful bar area. Nice decor, a few servers were awesome and fun. Many of them being so busy walked quickly with their heads down as to not make eye contact, as not to be asked for anything. Again will revisit on another night or possibly lunch. So glad there is a place in town. The place was packed, people waiting outside and a waiting list. That says a lot about a place. I know they are good. My shredded beef flautas had fatty meat. Very disappointed in Cancun. My mom, sister, my four month old baby and I walked in around 6:00pm for dinner. There was a larger booth open and no one behind us. The waitress said because we did not have five people they couldn't seat us in the large booth. Unfortunately the baby wouldn't fit in the aisle, so we could not be seated. The Menu is extensive and they have so many great options & Combos to choose from. Authentic Mexican food with just about something for everyone. Our Server, Jorge, was AWESOME. The entire staff is Friendly, Attentive & the food was Delivered fast, hot and it was delicious! We took dessert home because the portions are more than adequate & a great value for the price.
