Chips and Salsa
Anika D.

I was really craving chips and salsa, but I have to say this place was kind of a letdown. The worker who took my order was wonderful and the place looked very nice and clean, but the food was just really not good. I had the veggie enchiladas with black beans, rice, and a side of chips and salsa. The black beans were cold, bland, and way too salty. The enchiladas were under-stuffed, under-sauced, and the fajita veggies inside were still super crunchy. The rice was dry and bland, and the salsa was like canned tomato sauce with cilantro and raw onions (no spice at all). I feel like at a nicer Mexican restaurant, the salsa has to be good. Maybe some of their other items are ok, but I wouldn't recommend what I had. Tip: The prices on the yelp menu don't match their current prices, so I was surprised when my $9 entree was $14.

This is a great place to come for happy hour when looking for affordable deals! I like to get the classic marg, very strong and delicious! Lots of tv's for those who enjoy watching games as well. The food was darn good too, I really enjoyed the enchiladas. The service was good, a little slow considering how not busy it was but they were very very kind and patient! Might just go back for lunch today!

Still sucks and management sucks and I will forever say that. Food is cheap on Tuesdays though so that's a plus.

The bean dip that goes with the chicharrones was magical and the salsa was so tasty with the perfect amount of spice.

We originally planned to stay for happy hour, but ended up spending nearly three hours there because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Social is one of those rare places that completely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk downstairs, the atmosphere transports you to another era. The speakeasy vibe is authentic without feeling gimmicky, and every detail has clearly been thoughtfully designed. It's a super cool speakeasy with a warm, inviting interior that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We shared the charcuterie board, which was excellent, and enjoyed both the champagne and the bourbon. Everything was high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Ryan, our bartender, really made the experience special. He treated us exceptionally well, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. What started as a plan to enjoy happy hour turned into one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had in a long time. It's the perfect place for a date night or simply a relaxing evening with exceptional food, outstanding cocktails, and an atmosphere that's second to none. We'll definitely be back now that we live here in Fort Collins. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Fort Collins, Social is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

I don't love cocktails and their food menu is sparse, but if you want to impress a date or treat yourself to tasteful drinking, it's a nice place. Sometimes if you sit at the bar, there are annoying strangers who ask you to explain your thoughts on America's involvement in Iran. My server made sure to back me and my friend up when he started to get defensive. Thank you brother, you are an ally to the lesbian community.

The ambiance is really nice -- I enjoyed the speakeasy-type theme, and the fact that they have a record selection you can ask the bartender to play. These are actual records, with a lot of classics in the mix. The bartender was efficient and friendly, so no issues on staff. Honestly, the restaurant, ambiance, and service were all top notch -- level five. Happy hour cocktails were reasonably priced, and honestly that's the sweet spot here -- come in for nice cocktails at happy hour prices. I also had a couple off their specialty menu; solid drinks, but at $15 a pop they add up fast. I'd suggest getting in early, though crowding didn't seem to be an issue -- it still wasn't busy when we left about an hour and a half after sitting down. My bigger gripe was the food. Loaded tater tots (happy hour) -- fine. The ketchup and ranch that came with them were actually really, really good -- the sauces were the highlight. The tots just needed slightly longer in the fryer. Not undercooked exactly, they just wanted to fall apart and didn't hold up, which made for a messy plate you basically needed a fork or spoon for. Green goddess salad, $15 -- the biggest letdown. We were looking for something lighter since we weren't trying to get full, and on paper this looked really good -- but it didn't deliver. Way too lightly dressed for the arugula, and there wasn't much flavor unless you happened to get a piece of fruit, a piece of cheese, and the arugula all in one bite. It needed crunch -- some candied pecans or another nut would've been really nice -- and just more dressing in general. Too dry, and lacking something. Fifteen dollars for essentially some arugula, and the two of us only got through half of it. Other than that, the experience was pretty solid. Would recommend, and would return.

The bar almost resembles something you might find in a small European hotel, which may suggest they are aiming for a slightly upscale tone, though it never feels pretentious. The seating is varied, with small tables and retro chairs that seem intentionally chosen rather than bought in bulk. The spacing is better than most coffee shops, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling crowded. The back area opens up even more, and the soft drapery adds a touch of personality that appears to hint at events or just a bit of flair. The staff continues to be the standout for me. Everyone I spoke with was kind in a way that felt natural, and they knew the menu well enough to help me navigate dairy free options. I usually order the avocado toast on focaccia because it is consistently fresh. The bread looks oversized at first but is airy and soft, and the avocado and radish topping feels simple in the best way. The matcha made with water has also become a go to since it tastes smooth and well-bodied without that chalky, thin finish some places have. My partner and I visited during their Dia de Los Muertos weekend and tried a few themed items. Everything was good, and they were quick to suggest dairy free choices. Prices seem fair, even with the general bump everywhere lately. The only thing I wish they had more of is outlets. It is still a nice place to work for a couple of hours, but coming with a charged laptop helps. The overall vibe is calm with just enough energy to keep the space from feeling sleepy. It works well for coffee dates, casual catch ups, or solo work, especially for anyone who prefers a relaxed atmosphere without too much chaos.
