    Fillet with peppercorn sauce

We made reservations for a Friday night and were seated immediately. Everything about the experience reads lodge including their lovely fireplace , wood beams and antlers over the bar. The staff were welcoming and attentive the entire night. The atmosphere made For the perfect date night. My wife and I both had the 9oz fillet which were cooked perfectly. We'll be back.

This place is a great place to come have a drink and watch the sun set. The bar staff are amazing. This review is for the food. This is the first and last time I will order food here. If I'm down drinking I'll go downstairs to the Sand Bar and get the chicken strips. Ordered the $52 Filet(rump roast) whatever I got. It was tough without much flavor. I guess I'm out on the $70 16oz ribeye. Like I said, the views and the bar staff are amazing if you need a drink.

Great restaurant! Saw the previous reviews and my interest was piqued. My wife and I had dinner last night. Ambiance and decor was nice and welcoming. Plenty of servers and our water never got empty. We had a couple of cocktails which were great. My wife had the Octopus and I had the Zabuton steak. The octopus was about the best we've ever had. Sides with this were fantastic. My steak was a little small and a bit overcooked but the sauce was delicious and sides were huge so I didn't go hungry. Then we shared the olive oil cake and shared a limoncello. Overall it was. Great and we would highly recommend.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Northern Colorado. The food is on par with a big city like Chicago or LA. The meal was absolutely delicious. I got the pork chop - delicious. My husband got the short rib stroganoff - insane. We got the brioche and tallow app and that was just off the chain. It had no business being that wonderful. And for the price? Unbelievable. Run, don't walk, to this place. And Ty, our server, was lovely and great. We are coming back!

Tried to get staff attention without success so stepped into the men's room to grab wet and dry towels to clean up myself. Ugh. Samuel eventually appeared and we ordered drinks for ourselves while waiting for our son and daughter in law. Great beer choices for me - JuicyBits. Decent wine choices. Our daughter in law arrived, ordered a nice red, and she split a Reuben Sandwich with my wife. Both sandwich and fries were very good. I'd ordered the Penne Ala Vodka with shrimp. The Shrimp were very nicely done as they're frequently overcooked and tough. But the penne and sauce were only meh. Bit of a disappointment as I've definitely had (and personally made) better. Not too busy for a Friday nite and we were allowed to extend our conversation a bit ... unhurried. Pleasant evening.

I ordered the Brisket Plate as it offered both fatty and lean brisket, with two sides and a corbread muffin. The meal also came with samples of three of their BBQ sauces. For my sides I choose the baked beans and the mac & cheese. The brisket was sliced thin but it wasnt dry. It was tender and had a nice smoke flavor. The baked beans were great. They had good texture as there was a variety of beans used and they had a nice hint of sweetness. As for the mac & cheese, I would say it wasnt my favorite, but the noodles were perfectly cooked. The cornbread was tasty and sweet and was both moist and tender.

The coleslaw with tiny noodles in it , aka as pasta slaw, was the bomb! I could have eaten more of that. The Mac & cheese was good. The corn muffin was delish. The grilled chicken salad was so tasty as was the pulled pork. I tried multiple table-side bbq sauces on the chicken and enjoyed them all except I didn't try the jalapeño one. Also, the beans are so flavorful. Really can't go wrong with the bbq here. I will definitely be back.

We were offered indoor or outdoor seating and we opted for outdoors on this balmy 80-degree evening. Wife N started with a mocktail: Summer Crush. Delicious and we didn't miss the normally included liquors in the spirited version. She ordered a make it yourself burger: just the bun, patty, some ketchup and mayo. Medium. Side of fries. Her way. Burger perfect medium. Fries were crispy, above average. I ordered the Mushroom Avocado burger, also medium. Burger was juicy, flavorful, and the tempura avocados were an interesting twist on the un-fried norm. First couple bites had some crisp but mostly the avocados got soggy halfway through. Not sold on the tempura frying but the sandwich on the whole was great. Got some local draft on the side. Well taken care of, food was great, will return.

It is a fairly noisy place so I feel the upstairs was a little quieter and I was glad not to have been seated in one of several booths near the entrance with so many people standing and waiting on seating. Our server was nice and attentive, and the food came out rather quickly. I had an pleasant DC Oakes IPA and the Bomb Diggity hamburger with sweet potato fries. The burger was very tasty (a fat bomb) and with the fries was a substantial amount of food - I was only able to eat about half of it all. However, that burger had to be the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Curious, I went to the DC Oakes website to find nutritional information about my meal and there is no nutritional information. A third-party website (Marcos.menu) offered the following on the Bomb Diggity: Calories: 1200; Protein: 50g; Carbs: 55g; Fat: 85g. Nothing about sodium. My wife is on a sodium-restricted diet and she knows not to order anything like this burger. But still, nutritional information would be nice to know. When do you plan on putting this information on your menu for your customers? I will return to sample more of their beer and food selections.

Hopped in with Thursday night reservations, and we were seated within a few minutes. The menu is as fantastic looking as we remember. Pretty much, this is one of those places you go when you want to eat a bougie dinner. Oh, and the cocktails! Wife N. started with the Woo Girl a lovely off-fizzy gin-based hibiscus drink. Delightful. I went with an Old Fashioned. They have three different Old Fashioned choices (I've had all, and all are stellar) but tonight I went with the "With a Twist" which adds in some unique pineapple and vanilla notes. Fabulous! The apps arrived. We started with the Fois Gras Terrine--pretty much you can't go wrong with Fois Gras and Chimney park gussied it up with marinated apricots, pistachios, and what turned out to be the most delightful edible flowers (the purple poofy one looked like a garlic flower and had a light garlicy taste which, with the Fois was a bite of heaven---many folks think flowers are just garnish but don't shy away from trying a bite or you'll miss out! The only drawback was we ran out of the (two) toast points a third the way through the terrine. No big deal, we just spread it on their wonderful table bread. Bison tartare. Perfect egg yolk on top and a lovely dijon cream, served with housemade potato chips. Best tartare in recent memory. Next, the lobster bisque which we mentioned we were sharing. It arrived split into two perfect servings, with bisque poured tableside. Chunks of fresh lobster swimming in a delightfully tasty bisque with just a bit of spicy heat to it. I think if there was only one thing I was allowed to eat for the rest of my life, it would be this dish. On to the mains. She had the pan roasted Chilean sea bass. Flawlessly cooked and glistening, on a bed of pea risotto and adorned with pea shoots, most excellent. I had the mushroom-crusted New England scallops. Five #12 scallops, perfectly seared, on a bed of black rice, served with morels, bok choi and a couple black truffle shavings with a beurre blanc. This was a delicious umami bomb. Everything on the plate had a reason for being there and, on the off-chance I managed to get all the elements in a single bite it was a bite of heaven. Stuffed to the gills, we could only take home a dessert. So the flourless chocolate torte made its way into a to-go box and we had it back at the hotel room. Everything you'd expect a delicious wrap-up to be. Second visit in two years, and the quality of service and food was consistent across both visits.
